Disproportionation of PseudobasesThe alkali-catalyzed disproportionation of pseudobases is, according to the experiments described, a heteroanalogous Cannizzaro reaction and is intermediate between the acid-catalyzed disproportionation of the benzhydrols and the alkali-catalyzed Cannizzaro reaction.
Notes:
Die durch Alkali katalysierte Disproportionierung der Pseudobasen stellt nach den vorliegenden Untersuchungen eine heteroanaloge Cannizzaro-Reaktion dar und nimmt eine Mittelstellung zwischen der sauer katalysierten Disproportionierung der Benzhydrole und der alkalisch katalysierten Cannizzaro-Reaktion ein.
