Unsubstituierte und monosubstituierte Thionurethane und Dithiourethane bilden mit Wasserstoffperoxid Thionurethan- bzw. Dithiourethan-S-oxide: RX-C(=SO)NHR1 (X = O, S).Durch Substituenten R mit gro ßem Raumbedarf wird die Stabilität der S-Oxide so weit erhöht, daß die Isolierung gelingt. Fehlen derartige Substituenten, so erhält man bei der Oxydation der Thionurethane in vielen Fällen Formimidoesterdisulfide: R1N=C(OR)-S-S-C(OR)=NR1. Bei der Oxydation disubstituierter Thionurethane und Dithiourethane ließen sich keine S-Oxide nachweisen.
