    Description / Table of Contents: Addition of Water to o-Phenylethinyl-substituted Triphenylphosphanes and Reduction of the Formed Phosphane Oxide En-ynesHeating of the o-phenylethinyl-substituted triphenylphosphanes 1a-c in organic solvents containing water affords the phosphane oxides 2a-c through an intramolecular nucleophilic addition of the phosphorus to the triple bond, stereoselectively with a trans-olefinic bond. The mechanism is illustrated with the example 1b, because in this case a spirocyclohexadiene-phosphorin-allene 3 is formed additionally. Due to steric reasons, reduction to 4 by trichlorosilane is successful only with 2a, b, 2b leading in addition to the o,o'-bis(phenylethenyl)-substituted triphenylphosphane 7 by hydrosilylation of the triple bond and hydrolysis. The molecular structures of 3 and 7 are confirmed by means of X-ray crystal structure determinations (both p21/c and Z = 4).
    Notes: Die o-phenylethinylsubstituierten Triphenylphosphane 1a-c liefern beim Erhitzen in wasserhaltigen organischen Lösungsmitteln über eine intramolekulare nucleophile Addition des Phosphors an eine Dreifachbindung die Phosphanoxide 2a-c stereoselektiv mit trans-Doppelbindung. Der Reaktionsmechanismus wird am Beispiel von 1b näher erläutert, da hier zusätzlich das Spirocyclohexadien-phosphorin-allen 3 entsteht. Die Reduktion mit Trichlorsilan zu 4 gelingt aus sterischen Gründen nur bei 2a und b, wobei 2b unter Hydrosilylierung der Dreifachbindung und Hydrolyse zusätzlich das o,o'-Bis(phenylethenyl)-substituierte Triphenylphosphan 7 liefert. Mit Röntgenstrukturanalysen werden die Molekülstrukturen von 3 und 7 abgesichert (beide P21/c, Z = 4).
