Syntheses of Biologically important Carbohydrates, 261) On the Regioselectivity of the Sharpless Reaction; The vic. cis-Oxyamination as an Orbital-Overlap Controlled [3 + 2]-CycloadditionThe regioselectivities observed in the vic. cis-oxyamination of a series of differently substituted olefins 1, 5, 8, 10, 12, 17 are compared with the calculated electron densities and the HOMO coefficients of the alkenes. The results can be rationalized by assuming an orbital-overlap controlled [3 + 2]-cycloaddition in which sterical influences are important with regard to the obtained regioorientations.

Die experimentell bestimmten Regioselektivitäten bei der vic. cis-Oxyaminierung von verschieden substituierten Olefinen 1, 5, 8, 10, 12, 17 werden mit den berechneten Elektronendichten und HOMO-Koeffizienten der Alkene verglichen. Die Korrelation mit den Koeffizienten legt eine orbitalkontrollierte [3 + 2]-Cycloaddition nahe, wobei sterische Faktoren von erheblichem Einfluß auf die Regioorientierung sind.
