The Reactions of Phosphorus Ylides with Silacyclobutanes, I. Ring Opening via a Pentaalkylphosphorane IntermediateSilylated Ylides 1a-c, 2a-c, and 3a containing the skeleton I are obtained in the ring-opening reaction of 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl- and 1,3-dimethyl-1,3-disilacyclobutanes with trialkylalkylidene-phosphoranes. For these reactions, most of which are rapid and uniform even under mild conditions, a cyclic pentaalkylphosphorane intermediate (B1, B2, B3), can be assumed, though no direct proof is available as yet. The formation of products 4b and 5a containing the skeleton II from the cleavage of 1,1-dimethyl-monosilacyclobutane can only be explained, however, via such an intermediate (B4).

1,1,3,3-Tetramethyl- und 1,3-Dimethyl-1,3-disilacyclobutan reagieren mit Trialkylalkylidenphosphoranen unter Ringöffnung zu den silylierten Yliden 1a-c, 2a-c und 3a mit dem Grundgerüst I. Bei diesen auch unter milden Bedingungen meist rasch und einheitlich verlaufenden Reaktionen wird vermutlich eine cyclische Pentaalkylphosphoran-Zwischenstufe durchlaufen (B1, B2, B3), die aber nicht nachweisbar ist. Die Bildung der durch die Spaltung von 1,1-Dimethyl-1-monosila-cyclobutan erhaltenen Produkte 4b und 5a mit dem Gerüst II ist jedoch ohne eine solche Zwischenstufe (B4) nicht mehr erklärlich..
