The Rotational Isomerism in Partially Fluorinated Carbonyl(acetyl)cobalt ComplexesThe hitherto partially unknown acetyl compounds 3a - f are obtained according to equations (1) and (3) by the action of the partially fluorinated acetic anhydrides 1a and b on the carbonylmetallates Na[Co(CO)4] (2a) or Na[Co(CO)3PR3] (2b, c). The carbonyl(monofluoracetyl)-cobalt complexes 3c and e are present as rotational isomers in the temperature range from -100 to +80°C. Theoretical considerations show that a hindered rotation about the C—C-linkage is to be preferred to that about the Co—Cacyl-linkage. The compounds 3a - f can be decarbonylated between 0 and 70°C corresponding to the equations (2) and (4). On the basis of the i. r. spectra all the acetyl- and methyl complexes 3a - f and 4a - f mentioned here possess pseudo-C3v symmetry. The mass and 1H n. m. r. spectra are discussed.
Notes:
Na[Co(CO)3PR3] (2b, c) erhält man gemäß Gl.
