    Description / Table of Contents: Trimethylsilyl Nitrate1)The reaction of 3(5).4-bis(trimethylsilyl)pyrazole with concentrated nitric acid or hydrogen chloride yields 3(5).4-bis(trimethylsilyl)pyrazolium nitrate (1) or chloride (2) respectively. Thermolysis of 1 leads to the hitherto unknown pure trimethylsilyl nitrate (4) in 99% yield. Trimethylchlorosilane (5) is formed in analogous manner from 2. 3(5)-(Trimethylsilyl)pyrazole (3) is formed as an additional product in both cases.
    Notes: 3(5).4-Bis-trimethylsilyl-pyrazol liefert mit konz. Salpetersäure bzw. Chlorwasserstoffgas 3(5).4-Bis-trimethyl silyl-pyrazolium-nitrat (1) bzw. -chlorid (2). - Die Thermolyse von 1 ergibt in 99 proz. Ausbeute das bisher noch unbekannte reine Trimethylsilylnitrat (4). In analoger Weise bildet sich aus 2 Trimethylchlorsilan (5). Als weiteres Reaktionsprodukt entsteht in beiden Fällen 3(5)-Trimethylsilyl-pyrazol (3).
