    Notes: Bei der Oxydation mit Kalium-nitrosodisulfonat nach Teuber(1) erhält man aus 2.6.2′.6′-Tetrahydroxy-bitolyl-(4.4′) (IX) das Monochinon X und in hoher Ausbeute das Dichinon Phoenicin (XI), aus dem ebenen 4.5-Dihydroxy-2.7-dimethyl-dibenzofuran (XII) dagegen nur das Monochinon XIII. IX und XII werden aus 2.6.2′.6′-Tetramethoxy-bitolyl-(4.4′) (VIII) durch Erhitzen in Pyridiniumchlorid hergestellt.
