Notes: Das im Schrifttum meist 2.4-Dioxy-chinolin genannte 4-Oxy-carbostyril ist im festen Zustand 4-Oxy-α-chinolon, geht aber in Lösung z.Tl. in 2-Oxy-γ-chinolon über. Ersteres liefert mit Diazomethan lediglich 4-Methoxy-carbostyril, letzteres auf Umwegen 2.4-Dimethoxychinolin; Lactimformen treten nicht auf. Diese Auffassung ergibt sich aus der Untersuchung der N-Methyl-Derivate. Bei der Darstellung des 4-Oxy-carbostyrils nach Baeyer entsteht als Nebenprodukt die Sulfonsäure, deren Formen aufgeklärt werden.
