Notes: Das in der Siambenzoe vorkommende Monobenzoat des Coniferylalkohols läßt sich ohne Polymerisation nicht verseifen. Wenn dagegen die Phenolgruppe durch Tosylierung geschützt wird, führt die Verseifung mit Alkali zum monomeren Alkohol. Die Polymerisationsprodukte enthalten Ätherbindungen.
