Notes: Das Uran wird aus dem zerkleinerten Erz mit Schwefelsäure als Uranyl-Ion extrahiert und durch Ionenaustausch und Extraktion von seinen Begleitelementen abgetrennt. Aus dieser Lösung wird das Uran-Konzentrat ausgefällt, das durch Flüssig-Flüssig-Extraktion mit Tri-n-butylphosphat gereinigt wird. Das Uran wird darauf als Oxyd ausgefällt und kann direkt als Kernbrennstoff verwendet werden, oder es wird (nach Fluorierung) reduziert oder mit Graphit-Pulver in das Carbid überführt.
