    Description / Table of Contents: Summary 1,2-quinones and 1,4-benzoquinone react with diphenylbenzidine in 75% sulfuric acid to yield a blue color. This provides the basis for a spot test for small amounts of the quinones.
    Abstract: Résumé La quinone-1,2 et la benzoquinone-1,4 réagissent en solution d'acide sulfurique à 75% avec la diphénylbenzidine en donnant une coloration bleue, permettant une identification à la touche de petites quantités de ces substances.
    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1,2-Chinone und 1,4-Benzochinone reagieren mit Diphenylbenzidin in 75%iger Schwefelsäure unter Blaufärbung, was einen Tüpfelnachweis kleiner Mengen Chinon gestattet.
