Notes: Conclusion Examination scripts in some instances provide a good source of material for the researcher. For a complex problem on the question paper not only are problem solving skills of a wide range of student abilities shown by the answers but also misconceptions and frequency of common errors can be measured from a large sample. Study of misconceptions could lead to improved teaching skills as well as the generation of a heuristic frame for the solution of that type of problem.
