    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1. Die Adsorption von Salzen organischer Basen durch Kalziumpermutit erfolgt auf dem Wege des Basenaustausches. Der Austausch vollzieht sich bei neutralen Verbindungen nach Aequivalenten im Sinne der Adsorptionsisotherme. 2. In Wasser schwer- oder unlösliche Alkaloidbasen, z. B. Chinin, Cinchonin, Strychnin täuschen in wässeriger Salzlösung eine stärkere Adsorption dadurch vor, daß durch die schwach alkalische Reaktion des Kalziumpermutits die freie Base ausgefällt wird. In alkoholischer Lösung verläuft die Adsorption normal. Gewöhnliche, nicht gereinigte Tone, zeigen ein ähnliches Verhalten.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1. Tonschlicker zeigen bei größeren Konzentrationen erheblich höhere Oberflächenspannung als Wasser. 2. Mechanische Vorbehandlung der Tonschlicker vermehrt besonders stark die Oberflächenspannung des betreffenden Systems. 3. Es werden für diesen Effekt spezielle mechanische Zusammenhänge oder Strukturen, die Folgen von besonders intensiver Wasserbindung in derartigen Systemen verantwortlich gemacht. 4. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, daß die bei dispersen Systemen leicht zu beobachtenden stetigen Uebergänge, z. B. fest-flüssig sichere Extrapolationen auf die Eigenschaften z. B. fester Körper gestatten als die sprungweisen Formartänderungen homogener Systeme.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Herstellung fast vollkommen gleichartiger Kieselsäure-Lösungen ist möglich. Es sind dabei stets die folgenden Faktoren zu beachten: 1. Man muß immer von demselben Herstellungsverhältnis: H Cl + Wasserglas ausgehen. 2. Diese Lösung ist sofort auf eine jedesmal neu herzustellende Kollodium-membran von jedesmal der gleichen Dicke zu bringen. 3. Den Wasserzufluß zum Dialysator wählt man tunlichst so, daß er bei jeder Neuherstellung von Kieselsäure gleich stark ist. 4. Man darf nur destilliertes Wasser benutzen. 5. Säuredämpfe oder sonstige Fremdbestandteile, wie sie in der Luft stets vorhanden sind, müssen unbedingt ferngehalten werden. Aus diesem Grunde empfiehlt es sich, die Dialyse unter einem Glasschutzkasten durchzuführen. Die so erhaltenen Sole haben eine sehr große Haltbarkeit. Die Lichtdispersion aller dieser Sole ist äußerst gering.

Es wird darauf hingewiesen, daß die übliche enge Verknüpfung von Oberflächenspannungserniedrigung und Schaumfähigkeit irrtümlich ist, da aus schon bekannten Angaben Unabhängigkeit, ja gelegentlich Antibasie beider Erscheinungen hervorgeht. 2. Bei Humussäuredispersoiden zeigt sich diese Unabhängigkeit besonders drastisch. In der Reihe alkalischschwachsauresstarksaures Humussäuresol steigen Oberflächenspannung und Schaumfähigkeit symbat statt antibat. 3. Es wird darauf hingewiesen, daß es vermutlich ebensowenig ein einziges physikalischchemisches Grundprinzip der Schaumfähigkeit (Oberflächenspannung, Viskosität usw.) gibt wie bei den Erscheinungen der Adsorption im Allgemeinen. Es wird auf verschiedene einander koordinierte schaumbildende Prinzipien verwiesen. 4. Ein neuer einfacher Apparat (Membranometer) zur kinetischen quantitativen Messung der Häutchenbildung (dem Grundvorgang der Schaumbildung)wird kurz beschrieben, einige Messungen über Häutchenbildung von Humussäuresolen werden gegeben. Diese „membranometrischen“ Kurven zeigen weitgehende Parallelität zu den Schaumkurven und erweisen damit die Anwendbarkeit des Apparates auch zum Studium dieser Erscheinungen. 5. Es wird unter anderem die Strukturviskosität verschiedener Humussysteme gemessen. Die alkalischen Lösungen besitzen keine Strukturviskosität, die sauren, besonders die partiell koagulierten sehr starke. Letztere gehorchen der früher aufgestellten Exponentengleichung.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1. Die Begriffe ideale feste chemische Verbindung und ideale feste Lösung sind auf Grund strukturtheoretischer Betrachtungen festgelegt worden. Diese Strukturtypen können als Grenzfälle betrachtet werden. Die meisten metallischen Phasen stellen Zwischenprodukte zwischen ihnen dar. 2. Viele Phasen der Legierungen können als feste Lösungen in intermetallischen Verbindungen betrachtet werden. Welche Formeln für die letzteren möglich sind, läßt sich auf röntgenographischem Wege prüfen. 3 Gewisse Strukturtypen kehren in den verschiedenen Legierungen wieder. Von Phasen der Systeme CuZn, AgZn, AuZn, AgCd, AgAl, CuSn und AgSn sind z. B. Pulverphotogramme erhalten worden, die sämtlich dem Interferenzbild des Gitters der hexagonalen dichtesten Kugelpackung entsprechen. 4. Diese Uebereinstimmung im Bau der metallischen Phasen läßt einen Zusammenhang zwischen verschiedenen Legierungssystemen erkennen, der für die Ermittlung der Gesetze der intermetallischen Reaktionen von Bedeutung werden dürfte.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Nach grundsätzlicher Unterscheidung zwischen mono- und multimolekularen Reaktionen wird versucht, die Bjerrum' schen Anschauungen über den Energieinhalt von Gasen auf Gasreaktionen anzuwenden und gezeigt, daß so nur eine angenäherte Uebereinstimmung mit den Tatsachen zu erreichen ist. Bezüglich der Reaktionen zwischen Gasen und festen Körpern endlich wird darauf hingewiesen, daß die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit nicht allein von der Flächendichte und Porosität, sondern auch — abgesehen von seiner Natur — von den Atomdistanzen der festen Körper abhängig ist. Letztere Größe muß überdies in einem Zusammenhange mit der Wärmetönung der betreffenden Reaktion stehen.

Die Sole des Amylum, Gummiarabikums, Kaseins, CeO2 und SiO2 gehorchen dem Gesetze, während das gealterte V2O5-Sol Abweichungen aufweist. 3. Sole von Gelatine und CeO2, welche im Ostwald'schen Viskosimeter ein normales Verhalten zeigen, zeigen dies gleichfalls im Heß'schen Viskosimeter. 4. Sole mit kugelförmigen Primärteilchen gehorchen dem Poiseuille'schen Gesetze; Abweichungen treten ein, wenn die Teilchenform von der Kugelform abweicht.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Da die bisherigen Anschauungen über die Verdunstung von Flüssigkeiten aus kapillaren Räumen den tatsächlichen Beobachtungen nicht genügen, so wurde untersucht, welche Bedingungen Einfluß auf diese hätten, und zu diesem Zweck die Verdunstung von Wasser aus „echten“ und „gemischten“ Glaskapillaren einer Untersuchung unterzogen. Es fand sich, daß die Verdunstung von Wasser aus echten Kapillaren bei sonst gleichen Bedingungen in der Flächeneinheit — entgegen früheren Ansichten — unabhängig von der Größe des Querschnitts ist. Die Verdunstung ist um so stärker, je näher der Meniskus dem Rande der Kapillare steht, sie fällt schnell mit Zunahme dieser Entfernung. Die Lage der echten Kapillare ist ohne Einfluß auf die Verdunstung, wenn nicht veränderte Druckverhältnisse die Lage des Meniskus verschieben. Die Verdunstung aus gemischten Kapillaren ist abhängig von ihrer Querschnittsform und damit von der Form ihres Meniskus, je besser dieser seitliche Arme ausbilden kann, je mehr wird die Verdunstung begünstigt. Diese ist beim höchsten Stande des Meniskus gleich der Verdunstung aus echten Kapillaren, sie kann dann ebenfalls fallen, jedoch nicht so schnell wie in diesen, kann sich gleich bleiben, kann jedoch auch steigen. Sie nimmt im allgemeinen stark zu, je mehr die Lage der Kapillare die Annäherung der Flüssigkeit an den Rand der Kapillare begünstigt. Verminderung der Anzahl der Meniskusarme in der Flächeneinheit bedingt eine Herabsetzung der Verdunstung. Die mit gemischten Kapillaren erzielten Resultate entsprechen den bisher bekannten Verdunstungsbeobachtungen an körnigen und porösen Materialien besser, so daß man deren Eigenschaften mit Vorteil zur Erklärung heranziehen kann. Hierbei ist jedoch der Einfluß, der durch die fortgesetzte Aenderung des Verlaufs der Kapillarlängsschnitte teils hemmend, teils fördernd in den Vordergrund tritt, zu beachten. Verdunstungsversuche mit salzhaltigen und kolloidhaltigen Flüssigkeiten zeigten Ausblühungserscheinungen beider Substanzen.

Es wurden Dispergationskurven analysiert für das Verständnis des Mechanismus einiger Niederschlagsarten mit geschichteten Strukturen. 3. Es wurde gezeigt, daß die Liesegangschen Ringe die materiellen Spuren sind, die an den Berührungsstellen des oberflächlichen Niederschlagshäutchens mit der Oberfläche des Gefäßes hinterbleiben, während diese Berührungsstellen, in dem Maße, wie das Verdunsten fortschreitet, abwärts rücken. 4. Es wurde darauf hingewiesen, daß Liesegang'sche Ringe als Resultat periodischer Aenderungen der Konzentrationen des Dispergators und der dispersen Phase bei entsprechend ausgeführtem Zusammenmischen von niederschlagbildenden Lösungen entstehen können.

In stärker konzentrierten Alkohollösungen nähert sich die Adsorptionsgeschwindigkeit der aus einer wässerigen Lösung. 3. NaOH und Ba(OH)2 werden aus einer Alkohollösung in bedeutend größerer Menge durch Zellulose adsorbiert als aus einer wässerigen; mit der Vergrößerung der Alkoholkonzentration wird auch die Adsorption der genannten Laugen vergrößert. 4. Der Adsorptionsvorgang aus einer Alkohollösung ist ein chemischer Vorgang; die Konstantenß und $$\frac{1}{n}$$ der Formeln $$c_2 = \beta . c_1 ^{\frac{1}{n}} $$ hängen auch hier von der Wertigkeit der reagierenden Ionen ab. 5. Infolge der Verminderung der Hydrolyse ist die Adsorption aus einer Alkohollösung ein irreversibler Vorgang.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1. Der Adsorptionskoeffizient von Tannin durch eingeweichte und abgepreßte Haut hängt in hohem Grade von dem Badvolumen und der Adsorbensmasse ab. Das weist auf eine chemische Wechselwirkung zwischen Tannin und Haut hin. 2. Das Fehlen einer geraden Proportionalität zwischen dem Adsorptionskoeffizienten und dem Volumen und einer umgekehrten Proportionalität zwischen dem Adsorptionskoeffizien ten und der Adsorbensmasse weist darauf hin, daß der chemische Prozeß von einem Diffusionsprozeß des Tannins in die Hautmasse und von der Verteilung des Tannins zwischen zwei Phasen begleitet wird. 3. Der Adsorptionskoeffizient der Quebrachotanniden durch eingeweichte und abgepreßte Haut zeigt eine geringe Abhängigkeit von dem Badevolumen und der Adsorbensmasse. Der Hauptprozeß bei der Aufnahme von Tanniden durch Haut ist nicht die direkte chemische Wechselwirkung zwischen Hautsubstanz und Tanniden, sondern die Verteilung der Tannide zwischen zwei Phasen. 4. Das Vorhandensein von H-Ionen in der Haut oder in der Lösung steigert die Adsorption der Tannide sehr.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung 1. Die Kieselsäuresole nach Graham besitzen eine wohldefinierte Eigenleitfähigkeit, gekennzeichnet durch ihre Konstanz bei Dialyse. 2. Die Konstitution der Solteilchen läßt sich schematisch durch die Formel ausdrücken: [x(SiO2+ nH2O). y-SiO3H−]+yH+ (bzw. yNa+). 3. Die einfache Dialyse liefert Sole, in denen die Kationen H und Na sich im wechselnden Verhältnis befinden. 4. Mit Hilfe der Elektrodialyse sind stabile, rein azidoide Sole hergestellt worden. 5. Die Elektrodialyse eignet sich auch dazu, aus verdünnten Solen-hochkonzentrierte herzustellen. 6. Für die Anzahl der auf eine Ladung entfallenden neutralen Moleküle sind Werte zwischen 320 und 1200 gefunden worden.
