    Description: For some years now, vocational and business education-oriented teaching and learning research has been providing insights into the connection between specialist knowledge and competence development and developing specific methods for diagnosing action competence in vocational domains for which training is provided in Germany's dual vocational training system. This research methodological instrument is increasingly used with regard to the target group of educational personnel, above all teachers at vocational schools, especially in the first phase of their professionalisation. This volume also focuses on studies on the acquisition of competencies in various domains, on methods of measuring competency development and on didactic design. This always touches on the basic themes of the development of vocational action competence, which form the basis of the dual system, also in the analysis of consecutive forms of training. Finally, questions about the effects of demographic change are focused on the development possibilities of vocational schools, which in the coming years will undoubtedly be increasingly perceived and dealt with by vocational and business education research.

In couple relationships it is still a question of gender who does the majority of housework. The study deals with domestic work arrangements in couple relationships in connection with the aspect of power, which has been neglected by studies of family sociology. In order to explain the continuity of the traditional division of labour in European regions, a theoretical typology of power is developed.

Dabei werden auch Aspekte für die Weiterentwicklung einer wissenschaftlich fundierten Lehrerinnen- und Lehrerfortbildung hinsichtlich eines genderkompetenten Lehrens und Lernens thematisiert.; Gender stereotypes are transported intentionally or unintentionally into teaching and education. We rather expect strength and lack of concentration from boys, diligence and adaptability from girls. This problem has long been addressed in teacher training courses. The authors discuss the gender competence demanded by teachers from different perspectives and offer suggestions for school practice. Aspects for further development of scientifically founded teacher training with regard to gender-competent teaching and learning is also discussed.

The Yearbook is conceived against this background and has two central tasks: First, it aims to continuously document gender studies in educational science and, second, to create an innovative forum for scientific discourse.
