    Description: Die Unterstützung der Innovationstätigkeit von Unternehmen durch staatliche Förderung stellt ein populäres Instrument der Politik dar. Diese Arbeit untersucht unter Anwendung von Ansätzen der Neuen Institutionenökonomik und Entrepreneurship-Theorie die Ausgestaltung von Innovationsförderung am Beispiel des Niedersächsischen Innovationsförderprogramms und die von diesem Programm ausgehende Wirkung auf die beteiligten Akteure. Daran schließt sich die Darstellung der Ergebnisse einer Unternehmensbefragung an, in welcher die theoretischen und empirischen Erkenntnisse verknüpft werden. Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei die Fragestellung, inwiefern sich Unternehmen, die Innovationsfördermittel erhalten haben, von nicht geförderten Unternehmen unterscheiden.

    Description: Das Gesetz zur steuerlichen Förderung der Mitarbeiterkapitalbeteiligung rückt die Verteilungssituation in Deutschland ins Blickfeld. Mittels einer profunden Analyse der Vermögensverteilung in Deutschland anhand der Daten des Sozio-oekonomischen Panels wird in dieser Arbeit die gegenwärtige Verteilungssituation in Deutschland näher beleuchtet – insbesondere hinsichtlich einer Benachteiligung bestimmter sozioökonomischer Gruppen. Neben den gängigen Verfahren der Verteilungsanalyse wird ein Indikator entwickelt, mithilfe dessen eine integrierte Betrachtung der Stromgröße Einkommen und der Bestandsgröße Vermögen ermöglicht wird. Großteils ist die Konzentration der Vermögen auf divergierende Einkommenspositionen und Altersunterschiede zurückzuführen. Besonders benachteiligt sind Arbeiter und Solo-Selbstständige, Ostdeutsche, Personen mit Migrationshintergrund, kinderreiche Haushalte und Alleinerziehende. Die Evaluation des Mitarbeiterkapitalbeteiligungsgesetzes hinsichtlich der Vermögens- und verteilungspolitischen Effizienz ergibt, dass keine nennenswerte Vermögensdekonzentration zu erwarten ist.

    Description: The record books of the Order of Golden Fleece are the main source for the history of this important order of knighthood, which has been existing from the 15th century up to the present time. The here presented 4th record book covers the activities of the Order between 1477 and 1480 with the magnificent assembly in Bruges in spring 1478 as its climax: The Habsburgs Maximilian I as new Duke of Burgundy was installed as the new sovereign of the Order, symbolizing the beginning of a new era in the crisis-shaken Duchy of Burgundy. The volume contains the edition of the complete text (in 15th century French) with detailed commentary (in German) and a calendar of short abstracts of the letters issued by the Order or addressed to it. The edition of the record book with their exact details concerning the location of the meetings, participants, agenda, resolutions, elections and ceremonies present a hitherto unstudied source of the history of Order. The book also offers an interesting view of the critical period within the history of the Duchy Burgundy, in that because it also deals with questions of identity, social control as well as of loyalty and felony.
    Description: Das 4. Protokollbuch des Ordens vom Goldenen Vlies berichtet in französischer Sprache über die Aktivitäten des Ordens zwischen 1477 und 1480. Höhepunkt dabei ist das prachtvolle Fest in Brügge im Frühjahr 1478: Hier wurde der neue Herzog von Burgund, der Habsburger Maximilian I., zum neuen Souverän eingesetzt, womit der Beginn einer neuen Ära im krisengeschüttelten Burgund symbolisiert werden sollte. Mit den präzisen Angaben über Ort der Versammlungen, Teilnehmer, Tagesordnungspunkte, Beschlüsse, Neuwahlen und Zeremonien bietet die Edition der Protokolle nicht nur eine bisher unbeachtete Quelle zur Ordensgeschichte, sondern eröffnet auch einen interessanten Blick auf die kritische Zeit Burgunds, denn sie berichten auch von Identität, Sozialkontrolle sowie von Treue und Verrat.

    Description: Die Sicherung eines zukunftsfähigen Rentensystems ist eines der dringenden Ziele der aktuellen Sozialpolitik. Dabei spielen die Verteilungswirkungen (insbesondere zwischen verschiedenen Generationen) eine ebenso wichtige Rolle wie die allokative Effizienz. In diesem Buch wird ein Konzept entwickelt, mit dem die intergenerativen Verteilungswirkungen eines Alterssicherungssystems bewertet werden können. Im Vordergrund stehen Reformvorschläge, die auf einer (partiellen) Substitution des Finanzierungsverfahrens beruhen. Das Konzept soll es ermöglichen, konkrete Reformoptionen zu bewerten und sozialpolitische Handlungs- bzw. Entscheidungshilfen abzuleiten. Mit Hilfe des entwickelten Konzepts werden abschließend ausgewählte rentenpolitische Optionen simuliert.

    Description: This book describes the tragedy of a border society that had no place inside the boundaries of a nation-state under totalitarianism. It is the story of citizens of the former Third Reich with Polish ethnic roots in the second half of the 1940s. The story takes place in Gdańsk-Pomerania, which was a difficult homeland for its citizens. This book depicts the consequences of Third Reich’s policies on this territory and the disastrous effects of communist policy towards the indigenous population after 1945. In parallel with exchange of population, the fortunes of the indigenous population unfolded. Based on archival sources, this work presents the fate of Pomeranians and the residents of Gdańsk who had to prove their national usefulness before they joined the post-war life.

    Description: This volume brings together 8 previously unpublished papers dealing with various modes of allocating jointly consumable goods (i.e. public goods). The issues covered range from voluntary contributions and price exclusion (market allocation) to positive and normative analyses of different political allocation procedures for public goods. Given this wide spectrum of allocative schemes for public goods there does not seem to be an easy and clear-cut message from modern public-goods theory to public allocation policy.
