    Description: For some years now, vocational and business education-oriented teaching and learning research has been providing insights into the connection between specialist knowledge and competence development and developing specific methods for diagnosing action competence in vocational domains for which training is provided in Germany's dual vocational training system. This research methodological instrument is increasingly used with regard to the target group of educational personnel, above all teachers at vocational schools, especially in the first phase of their professionalisation. This volume also focuses on studies on the acquisition of competencies in various domains, on methods of measuring competency development and on didactic design. This always touches on the basic themes of the development of vocational action competence, which form the basis of the dual system, also in the analysis of consecutive forms of training. Finally, questions about the effects of demographic change are focused on the development possibilities of vocational schools, which in the coming years will undoubtedly be increasingly perceived and dealt with by vocational and business education research.

    Description: Fritz Bauer ist als der Staatsanwalt in die Geschichte der Bundesrepublik eingegangen, der den Auschwitz- Prozess initiiert und in einer Vielzahl weiterer Fälle die Verfolgung von NS-Verbrechen in die Wege geleitet hat. In Büchern, Aufsätzen, Zeitungsartikeln, Interviews und Reden in Hörfunk und Fernsehen reflektierte er die gesellschaftliche und politische Lage der Bundesrepublik in der Nachkriegszeit. Daneben formulierte er ein kriminalpolitisches Programm, in dem er Ziel und Zweck des Strafrechts grundlegend infrage stellte. Bauer hat in diesen Schriften oft Positionen bezogen, die für seine Zeit ungewöhnlich waren; zugleich zeigen sie, wie eng er dem Denken seiner Zeit verbunden war. Sie gewähren Einsicht in Diskussionen der frühen Bundesrepublik und führen eindrucksvoll vor Augen, wie sich Bauer als Jurist, Remigrant, jüdischer Intellektueller und Sozialdemokrat einmischte und Gehör verschaffte. So eröffnen seine »Kleinen Schriften« aus heute meist unzugänglichen Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, den Blick auf die Brüche in Bauers Biografie, auf Exil und Remigration als Schlüsselerfahrungen. Fritz Bauer (1903–1968) war eine der bedeutendsten Persönlichkeiten im Kampf für die juristische Ahndung der NS-Verbrechen in den 1950er- und 1960er-Jahren in der Bundesrepublik. Von den Nationalsozialisten ins Exil getrieben, kehrte Bauer 1949 nach West-Deutschland zurück und setzte sich als hessischer Generalstaatsanwalt für die Demokratisierung des Landes ein. Die Studie zeigt die Bedeutung sozialer Interaktionen auf und erörtert sie im Zusammenhang mit dem sozioökonomischen Hintergrund ihrer Migrationsverläufe; How do parents cooperate with each other, what value do they attach to their interaction and how is the degree of cooperation related to social status? The study takes a close look at the social relationships among various groups of Chinese parents at a Chinese Mandarin language school in a metropolitan city in Germany. Taking an ethnographic approach, it captures a vivid picture of the parental social interactions in and outside the Chinese school setting. The study reveals the significance of social interactions, discussing it in relation to the parents’ socioeconomic backgrounds and individual migrant trajectories.
