    Description: Zwar ist in den letzten Jahren der Konsens gewachsen, dass Deutschland ein Einwanderungsland ist, aber der Blick auf Migranten hat sich dadurch nicht wesentlich geändert. Auf der Basis des Paradigmas kultureller Differenz gelten sie nach wie vor als die Anderen, die Fremden. Doch die Fremdheit der Migranten als eine Prämisse der Debatte über Einwanderung in Deutschland verstellt den Blick für eine sehr vielfältige und gar nicht unbedingt fremde Lebenswirklichkeit. Die Beiträge dieses Bandes nun stellen diese Prämisse in Frage. Sie untersuchen, wie in den Diskursen von Gesellschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft die kulturelle Differenz vor allem der Einwanderer aus der Türkei immer wieder festgeschrieben wird und diskutieren anhand neuer theoretischer Zugänge alternative Perspektiven. Damit bereichert der Band die gegenwärtige Diskussion um Migration um notwendige innovative Positionen.

Die Beschreibung der dynamischen Umbrüche schließt die Nachbarstadt Altona und die Region ein und verbindet somit Lokales mit Nationalem und Globalem.

Hansen ein kollektivwissenschaftliches Paradigma, welches das Grundmodell Kollektiv-im-Kollektiv in seine Möglichkeiten und deren Bedingungen auseinanderfaltet. Um diese Varianten zu erfassen, werden die Begriffe »Multi-, Prä-, Pan- und Polykollektivität« eingeführt.     Description: Der Begriff der Postmoderne ist äußerst vielschichtig. Er bezieht sich auf eine sozialwissenschaftlich-politische Zeitdiagnose, versucht neuartige kulturelle Entwicklungen zu fassen und bezeichnet zudem ein heterogenes Diskurs-Feld. In diesem Band ist vor allem die US-amerikanische Counter Culture und der damit verknüpfte künstlerische Aktivismus von Interesse, der sich um queer identity politics und die damit verbundenen politischen Ziele - u.a. Reflexivierung und Politisierung von Sexualität - entfaltet hat. Das Buch stellt den kulturellen und intellektuellen Kontext vor, in dem sich seit einer Dekade in den USA die Queer Theory entwickelt hat. Die Queer Theory, als deren profilierteste Vertreterin Judith Butler gilt, stellt Sexualität und sexuelle Identitäten als eine Hauptachse sozial produzierter Differenzen ins Zentrum theoretischer und politischer Überlegungen. Der Band rückt eine zeit-historische Konstellation von Kunst, Wissenschaft und Politik in den Vordergrund, die ihre Beschreibung im Begriff der Postmoderne findet.

    Description: The Fukushima disaster invites us to look back and probe how nuclear technology has shaped the world we live in, and how we have come to live with it. Since the first nuclear detonation (Trinity test) and the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, all in 1945, nuclear technology has profoundly affected world history and geopolitics, as well as our daily life and natural world. It has always been an instrument for national security, a marker of national sovereignty, a site of technological innovation and a promise of energy abundance. It has also introduced permanent pollution and the age of the Anthropocene. This volume presents a new perspective on nuclear history and politics by focusing on four interconnected themes–violence and survival; control and containment; normalizing through denial and presumptions; memories and futures–and exploring their relationships and consequences. It proposes an original reflection on nuclear technology from a long-term, comparative and transnational perspective. It brings together contributions from researchers from different disciplines (anthropology, history, STS) and countries (US, France, Japan) on a variety of local, national and transnational subjects.
