Using a hermeneutical approach based on historical research, the author explores the transformation of societal institutions, communities and structures.; Seit ihren professionellen Anfängen ist die Soziale Arbeit wichtiger Akteur und Instrument der Sozialpolitik. Die vorliegende Studie ist eine Rekonstruktion der Entwicklung der Sozialen Arbeit in Unternehmen, die im Rahmen der betrieblichen Sozialpolitik auf dem Gebiet Böhmens und Mährens in den Jahren 1876-1989 implementiert wurde.     Description: Wie kooperieren Eltern miteinander, welchen Wert messen sie ihrer Interaktion bei und wie hängt der Grad der Kooperation mit dem sozialen Status und zusammen? Die Studie nimmt die sozialen Beziehungen zwischen verschiedenen Gruppen chinesischer Eltern an einer chinesischen Mandarin-Sprachschule in einer Großstadt in Deutschland unter die Lupe. Mit Hilfe eines ethnographischen Ansatzes wird ein lebendiges Bild der elterlichen sozialen Interaktionen innerhalb und außerhalb des chinesischen Schulumfelds gezeichnet. Die Studie zeigt die Bedeutung sozialer Interaktionen auf und erörtert sie im Zusammenhang mit dem sozioökonomischen Hintergrund ihrer Migrationsverläufe; How do parents cooperate with each other, what value do they attach to their interaction and how is the degree of cooperation related to social status? The study takes a close look at the social relationships among various groups of Chinese parents at a Chinese Mandarin language school in a metropolitan city in Germany. Taking an ethnographic approach, it captures a vivid picture of the parental social interactions in and outside the Chinese school setting. The study reveals the significance of social interactions, discussing it in relation to the parents’ socioeconomic backgrounds and individual migrant trajectories.

The authors conducted biographical-narrative interviews with young people, who held different positions in this field of ideological positions. They look at the actual forms and features of the particular worldviews and processes of (de-)radicalisation and show how individual notions of the self and the world are intertwined with social interaction within families, peergroups, radical groups, or official institutions.
    Description: Obwohl es mittlerweile eine Vielzahl an Forschung zum Phänomen Islamismus gibt, wurden in nur wenigen Studien Interviews mit jungen Menschen mit islamistischen Orientierungen geführt und systematisch ausgewertet. In diesem Buch gehen die Autorinnen anhand autobiografischer Erzählungen den folgenden Fragen nach: Wie eignen sich junge Menschen islamistische Orientierungen an, wie hängen sie mit biografischen Erfahrungen zusammen und welche Funktion erfüllen sie in den Biografien? Die Autorinnen zeigen, dass die Orientierungen in jugendphasenspezifische Probleme von Grenzziehung, Handlungskontrolle, sozialer Positionierung und Vergemeinschaftung eingebunden sind und diese Probleme auf verschiedene Weise gelöst werden: Islamismus übernimmt dabei die Funktion der starken Grenze, die Funktion der starken Ordnung oder die Funktion der starken Gemeinschaft.

Als besonders relevant nach Analyse von gesellschaftlichen Diskussionen in Newsgroups, Interviews mit Fachkräften der Sozialen Arbeit und Interviews mit Eltern mit Lernschwierigkeiten zeigen sich mehrdimensionale Benachteiligungen und die jeweils (nicht) existenten Rahmenbedingungen für die Wahrnehmung der Elternrolle.
