    Description: Mito: relato explicativo, simbólico y dinámico, de uno o varios acontecimientos extraordinarios personales con referente trascendente, que carece en principio de testimonio histórico, se compone de una serie de elementos invariantes reducibles a temas y sometidos a crisis, que presenta un carácter conflictivo, emotivo, funcional, ritual y remite siempre a una cosmogonía o a una escatología absolutas, particulares o universales. Esta definición, general, fría e indeterminada, requiere un tiempo, un espacio, y sobre todo una conciencia que la viva. El mito no es un constructo mental ajeno a las vicisitudes socioculturales: lleva marcada en su piel y sus entrañas la huella de cada individuo y sociedad que lo vio nacer; pero también sabe adaptarse a las condiciones del nuevo tiempo que lo acoge. Mitos de hoy narra esa tensión del mito por mantenerse vivo en el terreno, aparentemente inhóspito, de un mundo desengañado. La Mitocrítica Cultural, aquí puesta en práctica, combina las herramientas tradicionales de la mitocrítica con factores no considerados sistemáticamente por la crítica precedente: la globalización, la inmanencia y el consumismo. Ofrece así una modesta contribución a la tarea de identificar, analizar y sintetizar la tipología de las manifestaciones del mito en la literatura, las artes y los medios de comunicación contemporáneos.     Description: In times of emergency, communication plays a crucial yet problematic role. While this may seem obvious nowadays, even before the emergence of modern media, the methods of gathering, elaborating and transmitting information had a significant influence on the perception of risk and decision-making processes. The book examines how government bodies and different social actors handled emergencies in the Hispanic Monarchy, from the late sixteenth to the early nineteenth centuries. It features case studies from the Hispanic Monarchy’s European, American and Asian territories, exploring the narrative strategies used in news-sheets and gazettes, the impact of disasters on information networks, how they interacted with political and social dynamics, and the effect of conflicting interpretations of extreme events.

    Description: This monograph deals with Polish foreign policy shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War. In tracing the diplomatic activity of foreign minister Józef Beck, it discusses six general problems: (1) the Polish political situation under the pressure of appeasement; (2) the project of Intermarium and efforts to implement it; (3) the action against Czechoslovakia and the conflict with the Soviet Union; (4) the Polish attitude towards the German concept of Gesamtlosung in Germany’s relations with Poland; (5) the genesis of the Polish alliance with Great Britain; (6) the Allies’ military inaction after Nazi Germany’s aggression. In these conditions, Poland made four key decisions: it stood against Czechoslovakia, it rejected German demands, it allied itself with the United Kingdom, and it rejected the Soviet Union’s claim for the Red Army to march across Polish lands.

Aber gilt der Zusammenhang von Krieg, Revolution und Nationalismus auch an den Rändern Europas und über Europa hinaus? Wie steht es um den asiatischen Teil der Sowjetunion, um Mexiko, die Türkei? Angelehnt an die grundlegenden Forschungen Dieter Langewiesches hinterfragen zehn Experten eine der wirkmächtigsten Meistererzählungen der Geschichtswissenschaft. Dabei gehen sie weit über den traditionellen mitteleuropäischen Forschungsrahmen hinaus und untersuchen Beispiele revolutionärer Erhebungen in Süd- und Osteuropa ebenso wie die Entwicklungen auf dem amerikanischen Kontinent. Zwei Zeiträume stehen im Mittelpunkt: Die Jahrzehnte um 1800 als dem klassischen Revolutionszeitalter und die Jahre um den ersten Weltkrieg, in dessen Umfeld erneut territoriale und politische Ordnungen in Frage gestellt und neu gestaltet wurden.

Для исследования выбран поуровневый метод описания. На иллюстративных примерах показывается, как креативность проявляет себя на разных уровнях организации текста: фонетико-орфографическом, словообразовательном, лексико-семантическом, грамматическом – и как уровни взаимодействуют друг с другом. На уровне же целого текста важными параметрами становятся субъектная организация и взаимодействие текста с другими текстами.

    Description: Die Arbeit widmet sich dem Zusammenhang zwischen den Phänomenen Gewalt und Dissoziation, der in der Lyrik nach 1989 vermehrt reflektiert wird. Den Gegenstand der Untersuchung bilden russisch- und deutschsprachige Gedichte, die in vier thematischen Konstellationen einander gegenübergestellt werden. Dabei zeigt sich, dass die Relation zwischen Gewalt und Dissoziation in Form von Wechselbeziehungen gestaltet wird, die ihrerseits die Etablierung verborgener Gewaltstrukturen ursächlich bedingen. Behandelt werden Texte der LyrikerInnen Sergej Stratanovskij, Ulrike Draesner, Slava Mogutin, Ann Cotten, Durs Grünbein, Elena Fanajlova, Friederike Mayröcker und Aleksandr Skidan.

    Description: The book provides an empirically based analysis of changes on how various political and denominational actors seek to influence the Church and state relationship, as well as how we understand the idea of the secular state. A set of case studies shows how and why changes in the coverage of the secular state and Church-state relations have followed the dynamics of media logic. By establishing a grounded theory based on media content, legal regulations and political party programs in the years 1989–2015 as well as a current survey, the author throws new light on the theory of mediatization. The book demonstrates that the disseminated idea of the secular state is largely a result of the adaptation of both political and religious representatives to a dynamically changing media logic. Its mission is to inform comparative literature scholars worldwide of recent contributions to the field. To that end, it publishes scholarly essays, review essays discussing recent research developments in particular sub-fields of the discipline, as well as reviews of books on comparative topics. Scholarly essays are submitted to a double-blind peer review. Submissions by early-career comparative literature scholars are strongly encouraged. En tant que publication annuelle de l’Association internationale de littérature comparée (AILC), Recherche littéraire / Literary Research est une revue expertisée par des pair·e·s et publiée par Peter Lang en libre accès voie dorée. Elle vise à faire connaître aux comparatistes du monde entier les développements récents de la discipline. Dans ce but, la revue publie des articles de recherche scientifique, des essais critiques dressant l’état des lieux d’un domaine particulier de la littérature comparée, ainsi que des comptes rendus de livres sur des sujets comparatistes.
