〈h3〉Abstract〈/h3〉
〈p〉Efficient passively Q-switched laser operation of Yb:LaCa〈sub〉4〈/sub〉O(BO〈sub〉3〈/sub〉)〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 crystal was realized at the long-wavelength region of 1071–1080 nm, with 2D Bi〈sub〉2〈/sub〉Te〈sub〉3〈/sub〉 topological insulator acting as saturable absorber. With an incident pump power of 6.89 W, 1.76 W of pulsed output power was generated at 140 kHz with a slope efficiency of 38%; the corresponding pulse energy, duration, and peak power were, respectively, 12.6 μJ, 288 ns, and 43.8 W.〈/p〉
