    Beschreibung: Has the quality of life of indigenous peoples in Latin America improved after three decades in which legislation has been built that recognizes them? Statistical information and the increase in social conflict in indigenous territories leads to a negative answer to this question. This essay is a critical reflection on the exhaustion of the multicultural moment in Latin America from the dialogue with the critical thinking that has emerged from the movements themselves, especially from activists and intellectuals who denounce the relationship between recognition policies and extractivist capitalism, resisting the colonialist images that these policies reproduce because they deny the historicity and political potential of their peoples.
    Beschreibung: ¿Ha mejorado la calidad de vida de los pueblos indígenas en América Latina luego de tres décadas en las que se ha construido una legislación que los reconoce? La información estadística y el aumento de la conflictividad social en los territorios indígenas conduce a responder negativamente esa interrogante. Este ensayo es una reflexión crítica sobre el agotamiento del momento multicultural en América Latina a partir del diálogo con el pensamiento crítico que ha surgido de los propios movimientos, especialmente de activistas e intelectuales que denuncian la relación que existe entre políticas de reconocimiento y capitalismo extractivista, resistiéndose a las imágenes colonialistas que esas políticas reproducen por cuanto niegan la historicidad y el potencial político de sus pueblos.

    Beschreibung: In contemporary societies we see a state of social inequality as in the old regime: the accumulation of wealth in 1% of the population, multimillionaires as presidents, the increase in luxury consumption, the emergence of a culture of distinction, as well as the concentration of the earth and the spatial segregation. To understand these phenomena in a coherent interpretative framework, this essay proposes the hypothesis that in the early 21st century we are experiencing a new combination of refeudalization at the global level, but with specific regional features. In Latin America, this concept is particularly useful for understanding the return of the right to power after a period of leftist governments.
    Beschreibung: En las sociedades contemporáneas constatamos un estado de desigualdad social como en el viejo régimen: la acumulación de la riqueza en el 1% de la población, multimillonarios como presidentes, el aumento en el consumo de lujo, el surgimiento de una cultura de distinción, así como la concentración de la tierra y la segregación espacial. Para comprender estos fenómenos en un marco interpretativo coherente, este ensayo plantea la hipótesis de que en el temprano siglo XXI vivimos una nueva combinación de refeudalización a nivel global, pero con rasgos regionales específicos. En América Latina este concepto es particularmente útil para entender el regreso de la derecha al poder después de una época de gobiernos de izquierda.

    Beschreibung: Un seguimiento, control y vigilancia (SCV) eficaz es fundamental para el éxito de las medidas de conservación y gestión del medio marino. Mientras que los Estados tienen el derecho exclusivo de gestionar los recursos marinos dentro de su jurisdicción nacional, las zonas fuera de la jurisdicción nacional (ABNJ, por sus siglas en inglés) están sujetas a un complejo mosaico de normas y reglamentos internacionales (Wright et al., 2018). Un SCV eficaz de estas aguas profundas y distantes constituyen un importante desafío técnico y cada vez hay más interés en saber cómo pueden aplicarse las herramientas y políticas de SCV a este vasto patrimonio mundial. Los Estados de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) están negociando actualmente un instrumento internacional jurídicamente vinculante (ILBI, por sus siglas en inglés) para la conservación y el uso sostenible de la diversidad biológica de las zonas marinas fuera de la jurisdicción nacional (denominado aquí "tratado de alta mar").     Beschreibung: Tras más de una década de deliberaciones informales, los Estados de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) están negociando actualmente un „instrumento internacional jurídicamente vinculante para la conservación y el uso sostenible de la biodiversidad marina en las áreas situadas fuera de la jurisdicción nacional“ („Acuerdo BBNJ“). El objetivo de las negociaciones es reforzar el marco jurídico internacional para la protección y la gestión de los océanos globales, colmando las lagunas del marco actual y aprovechando las obligaciones existentes en virtud de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Derecho del Mar (CONVEMAR) para cooperar en la protección y la preservación del medio ambiente marino y la conservación de los recursos marinos vivos. Este informe explora cómo la gestión ecosistémica (EBM, por sus siglas en inglés) en las áreas marinas fuera de la jurisdicción nacional (ABNJ, por sus siglas en inglés) puede ser promovida a nivel regional y cómo el acuerdo BBNJ puede aprovechar las experiencias de otros acuerdos legalmente vinculantes para fortalecer la cooperación, la coordinación y la coherencia regional. Para ello, se han identificado cinco bloques de construcción: 1. Un órgano global sólido, como una Conferencia de las Partes, capaz de tomar decisiones y adoptar recomendaciones; 2. Un conjunto de mecanismos regionales para el desarrollo y la coordinación de políticas integradas; 3. Mecanismos eficaces de asesoramiento científico-político; 4. Obligaciones y principios medioambientales generales; y 5. Principios operativos para garantizar una buena gobernanza. Un examen del actual proyecto de texto del Presidente del acuerdo BBNJ pone de relieve los aspectos en los que el texto podría reforzarse para hacer avanzar la EBM. En particular, el acuerdo BBNJ podría inspirarse en una serie de instrumentos existentes y establecer obligaciones específicas para: cooperar en la promoción de la conservación in situ de los ecosistemas y los hábitats naturales; integrar la biodiversidad en todos los órganos y procesos de toma de decisiones; y reforzar la cooperación regional apoyando a las instituciones existentes y creando plataformas de cooperación transectoriales.

An overview of the state of study of the algae of the Lena Delta and adjacent areas, an annotated list of algae, indicating the authors of the study and the collection points of the actual material. The distribution of tree and shrub vegetation (larch and alder) on the border of the tundra zone, within the protected area «Sokol» (right Bank of the Lena river) is considered. Data on the structure and distribution of the f ish and birds of the Lena Delta are presented. The information about the current state and features of the ecology of a large ungulates mammal introduced in the territory of the reserve — muskox is given.

    Beschreibung: Motivated by the question of how the arts can contribute to communication on sustainable development, this study makes a sociological-anthropological analysis of the reception of an international contemporary art exhibition on sustainability in Valparaíso, Chile. The public’s aesthetic experience demonstrates that art, through sensual components and aesthetic strategies that lead to reflection can advance susceptibility to questions of sustainable development. This potential can point to gaps in the local public discussion on sustainability, but it is not capable of filling them.

    Beschreibung: Este informe demuestra que existe tanto la necesidad como la oportunidad de aumentar la interacción entre los niveles regional y mundial de la gobernanza de los océanos mediante un nuevo acuerdo mundial para la conservación y el uso sostenible de la diversidad biológica marina en las áreas fuera de la jurisdicción nacional (ABNJ, por sus siglas en inglés). En particular, este informe de política tiene por objeto destacar el papel y la contribución de la gobernanza regional y sectorial en elaborar y apuntalar la aplicación de un acuerdo fuerte en alta mar. Los esfuerzos regionales ofrecen lecciones aprendidas, plataformas para el intercambio de datos y conocimientos científicos, mecanismos para convocar a los Estados y las partes interesadas y coordinar los enfoques y medidas regionales para la gestión. Este informe identifica las oportunidades para aumentar la coordinación, la cooperación y la acción entre estos dos niveles en vista de un acuerdo internacional jurídicamente vinculante eficaz en el marco de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Derecho del Mar (CONVEMAR).

    Beschreibung: Dada la importancia que revisten los suelos en los procesos que ocurren en la zona crítica (zona de interacción entre agua, suelo, aire, organismos), en este trabajo presentamos la distribución temporal y espacial de una secuencia de paleosuelos arcillosos con carbonatos secundarios (capas de caliches y carbonatos diseminados) en el sector nororiental de la Cuenca de México, particularmente en el valle de Teotihuacán. El propósito de este trabajo consiste en reconstruir la distribución temporal y espacial de la cubierta de suelos del pasado para entender su relación con la estructura actual de suelos y sedimentos en este sector semiárido de la cuenca de México. Con esta información, determinar la participación de estos materiales en la Zona Crítica (ZC). Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo un transecto de dirección norte-sur, que inicia en las elevaciones del Cerro Gordo, cruza el valle de Teotihuacán y termina en la Sierra Patlachique, describiendo perfiles de suelo en diferentes posiciones geomorfológicas. El marco cronológico se ha establecido con base en fechamientos de radiocarbono realizados en las capas de caliches. De acuerdo a la cronología, al tipo y grado de pedogénesis, y a los procesos de sedimentación, se han reconocido cuatro unidades. La primera unidad, denominada Paleosuelos del Pleistoceno, fase I (50000 – 20000 años AP), está compuesta de paleosuelos arcillosos, los cuales son Luvisoles crómicos y estágnicos, dependiendo de su posición en el paisaje. Estos paleosuelos muestran tanto carbonatos secundarios diseminados y en fracturas, como capas de caliches. En la segunda unidad, Paleosuelos del Pleistoceno, fase II (20000 –10000 años AP), dominan los sedimentos sobre los suelos; únicamente en el fondo del Valle, se han encontrado Gleysoles cortados por canales aluviales. La unidad, Paleosuelos del Holoceno, fase I (10000 a 1000 años AP) se caracteriza por presentar suelos poligenéticos (Vertisoles), fuertemente modificados por los procesos antrópicos, durante las diversas fases de ocupación pre-hispánica. La última unidad, Suelos del Holoceno, fase II, abarca el último milenio, en donde se destacan procesos de erosión e inestabilidad del paisaje. La tendencia principal en la distribución espacial de los paleosuelos es la siguiente: las unidades antiguas (Luvisoles, capas de caliches y Vertisoles) están sepultadas profundamente en el fondo del valle. Sin embargo, en los taludes y elevaciones montañosas, pueden aparecer cerca o directamente sobre la superficie, siendo incorporados en el manto de suelos actual. Las interrelaciones entre los diferentes paleosuelos a lo largo del transecto estudiado, junto con las observaciones micromorfológicas, apoyan la hipótesis de una relación evolutiva entre los Luvisoles pleistocénicos y los Vertisoles del Holoceno. Consideramos que estas diferentes unidades repercuten en los procesos hidrológicos en el valle y que las capas de caliche formadas en los ambientes pleistocénicos pueden afectar la geoquímica del agua subterránea así como sus firmas isotópicas.
    Beschreibung: As soils are important elements for the processes involved in the critical zone (the zone of interaction between water, soil, air, and organisms), in this work we present the temporal and spatial distribution of a clayey-paleosol sequence with secondary carbonates (layers of caliche and disseminated carbonates) in the northeast sector of the Mexico Basin, particularly in the Teotihuacan Valley. The goal of this paper is the temporal and spatial reconstruction of the past soil cover to understand its relationship with the present day soils and sediments in this semiarid sector of the Mexico Basin. With this information the involvement of these materials in the critical zone could be determined. To comply with these objectives, a north-south transect was carried out, starting in the Cerro Gordo, crossing the Teotihuacan valley and ending in the Sierra Patlachique, describing soil profiles located in different geomorphological positions. The chronological framework has been established with radiocarbon dates of the caliche layers. According to this chronology, the type and degree of pedogenesis, as well as the sedimentation processes, four units have been recognized. The first unit is named the Pleistocene Paleosols, phase I (50000 – 20000 years BP), and is composed of clayey paleosols, chromic and stagnic Luvisols, depending on their position in the landscape. These paleosols contain pedogenic carbonates, disseminated and in fractures, and caliche layers. In the second unit, the Pleistocene Paleosols, phase II (20000 –10000 years BP), sediments predominate over soils; only in the valley floor some Gleysols are found to be cut by alluvial channels. The unit, Paleosols of the Holocene Paleosols unit, phase I (10000 to 1000 years BP), is characterized by polygenetic soils (Vertisols) strongly modified by anthropic processes during distinct phases of pre-hispanic occupation. The last unit, the Holocene Soils, phase II, covers the last millennium when erosional processes and unstable landscape dominate. The paleosols (Luvisols, caliche layers, and Vertisols) are deeply buried at the bottom of the valley. However, on the slopes and hilltop positions, they can appear close to or directly on the surface, being incorporated in the present day soil mantle. Spatial interrelations of different paleosols along the studied transect together with micromorphological observations support the hypothesis of an evolutionary link between the Pleistocene Luvisols and the Holocene Vertisols. We propose that these different units are involved in the hydrological processes in the valley and that the caliche layers, formed in the Pleistocene environments, can affect the geochemistry of the groundwater as well as its isotopic signatures.

Са- мой основной задачей является создание и развитие потенциала на индивидуальном и организацион- ном уровнях. Аналитическая записка описывает подходы по наращиванию потен- циала, принятые Германской во- дной инициативой для Централь- ной Азии (“Берлинский процесс”), в частности: (1) краткосрочные про- фессиональные курсы, предлагае- мые исследовательским проектом ЦАВа; (2) региональная магистер- ская программа “Интегрированное управление водными ресурсами” реализуемая в Казахстанско-Не- мецком Университете в Алматы; (3) обучающий модуль по бассей- новому планированию, разрабо- танный в рамках программы GIZ “Трансграничное Управление во- дными ресурсами в Центральной Азии”. Эти подходы в основном на- правлены на развитие потенциала на индивидуальном уровне, но про- грамма GIZ по созданию бассейно- вых речных комиссий направленa также на развитие потенциала на институциональном уровне. Ключевыми факторами успеха стали региональные и транс-секторальные подходы, принятые всеми тремя программами, объединение науки и практики, и соответствие содержа- ния тренинга практическим потреб- ностям участников.

    Beschreibung: Уже сегодня Центральная Азия сталкива- ется с водным стрессом из-за конкуриру- ющего использования воды и преоблада- ния низкой эффективности водополь- зования. В будущем, климатические, ги- дрологические и социально-экономиче- ские изменения могут обострить ситуа- цию. Исследования, проведённые в рамках проекта CAWa показали, что на основе сценариев климатических моде- лей, изменение климата приведёт к даль- нейшему увеличению средней годовой температуры воздуха, а также температу- ры в зимний и летний периоды, и суще- ственному дальнейшему сокращению площадей покрытых ледниками, напри- мер в Тянь-Шане в бассейне р. Нарын на 20–60 % до 2050 года по сравнению с ны- нешним состоянием оледенения. Режим речного стока, как ожидается, изменится с ледниково-нивального на плювио-ни- вальный режим с увеличением стока в весеннее время и уменьшением стока в летние месяцы по наиболее пессими- стичному сценарию климатических изме- нений. К 2050 году повышение темпера- туры вызовет увеличение потребности воды для сельскохозяйственных культур на 5 –15 % для большинства традицион- ных культур в Ферганской долине. Подробный анализ сценариев для Фер- ганской долины показал, что экономика может справиться с будущими условия- ми, если (1) эффективность водопользо- вания в орошаемом земледелии увели- чится путём применения новых технологий орошения и улучшения ирри- гационной инфраструктуры, (2) исполь- зование земли отрегулируется в пользу новых товарных культур, таких как ово- щи, фрукты и виноград. Это беспрои- грышные меры по адаптации, которые экономики стран Центральной Азии должны предпринять, чтобы приспосо- биться к социально-экономическим из- менениям, даже при условии отсутствия изменений климата.

    Beschreibung: Программа GIZ «Трансграничное управление водными ресурсами в Централь- ной Азии» поддерживает сотрудничество между Кыргызстаном и Таджикиста- ном по совместному управлению бассейном реки Исфары путем развития по- тенциала в области устойчивого бассейнового планирования и управления. Кроме этого, реабилитация малых инфраструктурных объектов и автоматиза- ция систем учета воды направлены на обеспечение безопасного и равномерно- го распределения водных ресурсов в бассейне. Улучшенное управление вод- ными ресурсами и модернизация инфраструктуры реки Исфары способствуют повышению осведомленности и уровня водообеспеченности более 200 000 водопотребителей в обеих странах. В комплексе с проводимыми мероприятия- ми по трансграничному сотрудничеству, предложенные меры направлены на противодействие потенциальным конфликтам по причине ограниченных оро- шаемых земель между жителями соседних государств в приграничных райо- нах, что также является следствием «водного вопроса». Программа GIZ «Трансграничное управление водными ресурсами в Централь- ной Азии» реализуется по заказу Министерства иностранных дел Германии и софинансируется Европейским Союзом.

Проведено исследование эволюции криолитозоны в позднем кайнозое и предложена реконструкция палеогеографических обстановок нескольких эпох плейстоцена-голоцена, когда сформировались многие черты, определившие современный природный облик Севера России. В основу реконструкции положен анализ крупных залежных подземных льдов, широко распространенных в Арктике (на суше и на шельфе) в отложениях всех эпох плейстоцена и голоцена и обладающих высокой палеогеографической информативностью. Среди подземных льдов выявлен новый генетический тип - лед субмаринного происхождения. Получен ряд новых выводов. Показано, что развитие западного и восточного секторов Российской Арктики в плейстоцене проходило не одинаково: западный сектор большую часть плейстоцена развивался в условиях трансгрессивного режима и морского осадконакопления, восточный сектор - в течение всего периода в условиях континентального· режима и преимущественно озерно-аллювиального и лагунного осадконакопления. Оледенение в регионе в целом было невелико, а распространение покровных ледников ограничивалось с востока полуостровом Канин. Сделан вывод, отрицающий ведущую роль гляциоэвстатических процессов в колебаниях уровня Арктического бассейна и выводящий на первый план роль неотектонических процессов, связанных с рифтовой структурой Северного Ледовитого океана. Книга рассчитана на широкий круг специалистов, чья профессиональная деятельность связана с Арктикой и ее природой, а также же на всех тех, кто интересуется науками о Земле.
    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Translation of the abstract: The book is devoted to a debatable problem concerning the paleogeographical development of the Russian Arctic. A study of the evolution of the cryolithozone in the late Cenozoic was carried out and a reconstruction was proposed paleogeographic settings of several epochs of the Pleistocene-Holocene, when many features were formed that determined the modern natural appearance of the North of Russia. The reconstruction is based on the analysis of large fallow underground ice, which is widespread in the Arctic (on land and on the shelf) in deposits of all Pleistocene and Holocene epochs and has a high paleogeographic information content. Among underground ice, a new genetic type has been identified - ice of submarine origin. A number of new conclusions have been obtained. It is shown that the development of the western and eastern sectors of the Russian Arctic in the Pleistocene was not the same: the western sector developed for most of the Pleistocene under the conditions of a transgressive regime and marine sedimentation, the eastern sector - throughout the entire period under the conditions of a continental regime and predominantly lacustrine-alluvial and lagoonal sedimentation . Glaciation in the region as a whole was not great, and the distribution of sheet glaciers was limited from the east by the Kanin Peninsula. A conclusion is drawn that denies the leading role of glacioeustatic processes in the level fluctuations of the Arctic Basin and brings to the fore the role of neotectonic processes associated with the rift structure of the Arctic Ocean. The book is intended for a wide range of professionals whose professional activities are related to the Arctic and its nature, as well as for all those who are interested in the Earth sciences.

Marine basins of the Western Subarctic (the Island, Norwegian, and Greenland Seas), the Arctic Ocean (the Barents, Pechora, Kara, Laptev, East Siberian, Chukchi Seas and deep-sea regions of the Arctic Ocean), the Eastern Subarctic (the Bering Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk) are considered in the monograph. For every region we analysed recent environment, and geological history of water- (ice) sheds and marine basins. There have been revealed a number of climate changes including glacial and nonglacial ones based on proposed proxies. Mainly we represented results of our own studies.     Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: In the monograph results of long-term ground and remote sensing experimental and theoretical investigations of heat-water exchange of typical permafrost landscapes and small river basins of Eastern Siberia and its factors situated in subarctic tundra, plain taiga and southern mountain taiga are generalized. Detailed maps of landscape structure of range grounds as well as results of analysis of wide range of parameters and variables of permafrost landscapes characterizing spatial and temporal variability of their state in daily, seasonal and long-term scales are presented. Zonal-landscape features of heat and water exchange as well as water regime of small river basins have been revealed. Spatial distribution of vertical turbulent heat and moisture flows in the boundary layer of the atmosphere above heterogeneous surface by measurements from board a plane has been investigated. Spatial and temporal analysis of thermo- and water-physical properties of perennially frozen grounds, which are applied as parameters in hydro-climatic models, has been fulfilled. Processes of interaction of surface and underground waters on plain and in the mountains have been considered, as well as cryogenic phenomena, which have considerable impact upon water regime of rivers and permafrost landscapes.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: This monograph is devoted to modern considerations on geochemistry of rare earth elements (REE) in the ocean. Chemical properties of REE which determine their migration ability in natural processes and REE sources are presented. The REE behavior in the river water-seawater mixing zone is analyzed, as well as fractionation of dissolved and particulate REE in the oceanic water in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. It is shown that the variability of REE composition in pelagic sediments reflects their fractionation in oceanic water, as a consequence of material differentiation in the ocean. REE distribution in terrigenous, authigenic, hydrothermal and biogenic constituents of sediments is considered, including clay minerals, bone debris, barite, phillipsite, iron and manganese oxyhydroxides (ferromanganese nodules and micronodules), iron-calcium hydroxophosphate, diatoms and foraminifers. Впервые составлена схема структурно-фациального районирования региона. В 8 районах детально охарактеризовано 25 сводных разрезов (колонок). Выделено 6 региональных горизонтов (5 из них впервые). Для всех стратиграфических подразделений наряду с литологическими и параметрическими данными даются полная палеонтологическая и палеомагнитная характеристики. Проведены региональная и межрегиональная корреляции. Схема рекомендуется в качестве основы для геологической съемки среднего и крупного масштабов, геолого-поисковых и геологоразведочных работ, также разноплановых палеогеографических реконструкций.
    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Translation of the abstract: The work is devoted to the geological and paleontological substantiation of the age division of the Paleogene and Neogene deposits of the east of the Siberian Platform. The factual material obtained over the past 25 years from the stratigraphy of Paleogene-Neogene deposits in the east of the Siberian Platform is summarized. For the first time, a scheme of structural-facies zoning of the region was drawn up. In 8 regions, 25 summary sections (columns) were characterized in detail. 6 regional horizons were identified (5 of them for the first time). For all stratigraphic units, along with lithological and parametric data, complete paleontological and paleomagnetic characteristics are given. Conducted regional and interregional correlations. The scheme is recommended as a basis for geological surveys of medium and large scales, geological prospecting and exploration works, as well as diverse paleogeographic reconstructions.

Показаны конкретные примеры зависимости развития мерзлотных ландшафтов от широтной зональпости, высотной поясности, меридианалыюй секторности, проявления ритмичности природных процессов, микроклимата и геолого -геоморфологических условий. Часть статей посвящена проблемам функционироnапия природно-антропогенных систем в криолитозоне и некоторым вопросам охраны и рационального использования мерзлотных ландшафтов. Сборник представляет интерес для широкого круга исследователей, интсресующихся вопросами региональноrо и теоретического мерзлотоведения, ландшафтоведения, охраны природы и рационального природопользования.
    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Translation of the abstract: The collection highlights modern ideas about permafrost landscapes - the laws of their functioning, temporal dynamics and spatial differentiation. Most articles consider the properties of the permafrost substrate - temperature, ice content, thickness of the active layer - as determining factors of the identity of permafrost landscapes. Concrete examples of the dependence of the development of permafrost landscapes on latitudinal zonality, altitudinal zonality, meridianal sector, manifestations of the rhythm of natural processes, microclimate and geological and geomorphological conditions are shown. Some of the articles are devoted to the problems of the functioning of natural-anthropogenic systems in the permafrost zone and some issues of the protection and rational use of permafrost landscapes. The collection is of interest to a wide range of researchers interested in issues of regional and theoretical permafrost, landscape science, nature conservation and rational nature management.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: The book deals with the influence of cryogenesis (a complex process of heating - cooling, freezing - thawing and accompanying phenomena) on earth surface and upper horizons transformation for the late Cenozoic period, and for the present time. The book summarizes the notions of geocryological zonality, altitudinal zonality and "sectorality" in formation of soil thermal regime, frozen strata and taliks distribution, season freezing and thawing, depending on geographical location of the territory and recent natural conditions. The book also gives an analyses of zonal and regional regularities in periglacial processes and phenomena distribution as well as formation of cryogenic composition for different syngenetic, epigenetic and taber soils and epigenetic frozen rocks. The influence of geothermal, geostructural, geomorphological and hydrogeological conditions, glaciation and deglaciation, Arctic seas transgressions and regressions on thickness, and composition of permafrost zone and its interaction with natural gas hydrates is analysed. The book describes major peculiarities of cryolitozone of platforms, mountain areas and Arctic submarine cryolithozone in connection with Pleistocene and Holocene paleogeography. The peculiarities of lithosphere cryogenesis are analysed mainly for northern Eurasia and partly for North America. The book is intended for students and professional geocryologists, engineering geologists, hydrogeologists, geographers and geoecologists as well as geologists dealing with oil and gas, miners, construction workers and those dealing with Northern and Eastern parts of Russia and Northern part of North America.

    Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: This book is devoted to the study of relief formation and the analysis of specific landforms on the lowlying sections in the Arctic permafrost zone. Cryomorphologic features, quaternary deposits; ground ice, tectonic and other natural conditions are considered on the example of the Lena Delta. The significance of cryomorphologic processes is revealed in the evolution of both ancient and modern permafrost landscapes in the area. Cryomorphocomplexcs are identified for individual geomorphologic regions (subregions), which are suitable indicators used for different geological and geomorphological mapping purposes. The identification of these complexes is an important step in the cryomorphogenetic analysis.     Beschreibung / Inhaltsverzeichnis: Subject of the monograph "Diagnostics of the climatic system structure" by I. I. Mokhov is connected with the diagnostics of the structure of climatic variable fields in the atmosphere and ocean. Structural peculiarities of the land active layer, cryosphere and biosphere are also considered. The analysis of empirical (satellite and ground-based) data is acompanied by an analysis of results of climate models, including climatic general circulation models. Diagnostics is carried out for latitude zones and for more detailed latitude - altitude and latitude - longitude (or altitude - longitude) resolution with the purpose of exhibition and confirmation of global and regional mechanisms of the earth's climatic system formation. In addition to standard methods a special method of amplitude - phase characteristics is used in the diagnosis of climatic evolution. An analysis of characteristics of climate system sensitivity is accompanied by an analysis of characteristics of its instability. Der Expedition gingen drei Jahre Vorbereitung voraus. Der Autor des Buches - sein Teilnehmer - beschreibt seine Treffen in den USA und in Frankreich während der Vorbereitung der Expedition, spricht über seine wahren Helden - Hunde, ihre Beziehung zu den Teilnehmern der Expedition und die Beziehung der Teilnehmer selbst. Nesteruk presented interaction between helicopters and environment, influence of meteorological factors and weather phenomena on the safety of helicopter multipurpose employment, physical nature of the influence of meteorological factors on the flights and the helicopter operation peculiarities in various geographical regions under marginal meteorological conditions are considered. The aerodynamical aspects of the interaction between the main rotor and the atmosphere are studied. Recommendations for further efficiency in the meteorological support of helicopter flight safety are put forward. It is for the first time that the problems of aviation meteorology with reference to helicopter aircraft are summarized in one issue. The book is intended for helicopter pilots, experts in aviation and synoptical meteorology, atmospheric physics, as well as aviation school cadets. It may be employed as a teaching aid for flight personnel classes. The book is useful for wide sections of readers and experts in the adventitious and purpose ful influence of the aircraft on environment and in transportation ecology.
