Description: Acta Slavica Estonica is an international series of publications on current issues of Russian and other Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. The first part of the book contains chapters about the general history of school textbooks for reading and the story of the heritage of two authors (Vyazemsky and Fet) in them. The second part of the book presents chapters on various Russian poets (Batyushkov, Zhukovsky, Pushkin, Koltsov, Tyutchev, Maikov) whose poems found a firm place in the reading materials for schools. The chapters of the monograph give an idea of different aspects of the history of these texts and their reception. The monograph has two supplements. In the first there is a list of 108 textbooks and books of reading which are all included in the unique data base accessible in the Internet (www.ruthenia.ru/canon). The second supplement offers a list of the most popular authors and their texts included in the textbooks of the 19th century.

Description: Acta Slavica Estonica is an international series of publications on current issues of Russian and other Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. This issue of the subseries “Blokovskii sbornik” continues the series of studies started by Zara Mints in 1964. The majority of works from Section I of the book, “The Art of А. Blok in the Context of 19th–20th Century Literature,” is devoted to the study of the poet’s works, his perceptions of preceding writers’ works, and his biographical and artistic contacts with contemporaries. The articles in Section II, “Silver Age Literature: Creative and Social Strategies,” are mainly focused on artistic works and essays of modernist literati contemporary to Blok or to some extent resonating with his poetry and artistic worldview.

Description: The aim of the methodology is to give an understanding of elder abuse, typologies, manifestations, risks of occurrence and procedures for detection and solution. The methodology helps those who regularly come into contact with older people to put knowledge about elder abuse into practice. This can be anyone who is not, or should not be, indifferent to seeing an older person treated inappropriately. The methodology is primarily intended for people working in support services, with recommendations for other relevant actors such as general practitioners and specialists, the police, the social services of local authorities, etc. However, it can also be used by interested members of the public and by non-profit organisations, which also have an essential role to play in dealing with this phenomenon. The procedures and recommendations presented here are based on the research activities of the RESTABUS project, which draw on the findings of other research teams from all over the world and from a wide range of scientific disciplines, as well as on many years of experience in working with older people.

Description: Aquest estudi sobre la presó franquista de postguerra es basa en les duescentes quaranta cartes que Daniel Vilaró Rius va escriure a la seva família entre juliol del 1939 i agost del 1943 des de tres presons i, per tant, presenta el règim penitenciari viscut des de dins. En aquestes cartes trobem en primera persona l’impacte psicològic de la derrota, dels judicis sumaríssims i de l’empresonament, la por i la incertesa de cada dia, la penúria, la privació emocional de l’allunyament de la família, la frustració de no poder exercir cap rol familiar. Alhora, la voluntat de sobreviure física i moralment, que va ser una voluntat política, i els mecanismes i estratègies que van fer que molts ho aconseguissin, des de l’ajut de fora i la solidaritat a dins, fins a la capacitat de cadascú per mantenir alguna il·lusió i la fe en el futur.

Description: Title in English: Prediction of potential locations for water-retention dams in landscape based on re-utilisation of defunct relics of water-management buildings: Certified methodology This certified methodology shows the steps to be taken by contractors and builders of small water reservoirs with a special focus on preserving and archiving cultural value of historic landscape and its evolution. The methodology describes how to find and use defunct relics of historical waterdams in modern constructions (water retention dams), from identification in the landscape, through incorporation into the project documentation of the dam construction, to basic protection during the building process itself. State legislature on historic landscape is also mentioned. Re-utilisation of historic waterdams allows for their conservation for future generations and points at features of the historic dams at risk of destruction, and which need archaeological attention during the construction works (especially the historical drainage outlet). This methodology is praxis driven, as it is actively using knowledge gained through close co-operation with contractors and builders, and reflects their needs during construction.

The base of presented e-book is aimed on the support including the educational process and the aim is to summarise and present possible intervention and compensation. Description: Title in English: Pronunciation in Learning German at Secondary Schools. This publication presents an empirical research of pronunciation mistakes of Czech students learning German as a second foreign language at elementary school. The aim of the research was to verify the extent of the students’ pronunciation difficulties with German pronunciation phenomena error-prone for Czech native speakers. The research determined in what way these errors manifest themselves in the transfer from the students’ previously acquired languages, i.e. their mother tongue (Czech) and the first foreign language learnt (English). Within the theoretical foundation, the focus is put on different concepts of pronunciation in terms of foreign language teaching objectives, definitions of language errors and their causes, the development of the German pronunciation standard and methodological approaches to error analysis.

Description: El orden del día de las agendas de los estudiosos de la alimentación está repleto de fenómenos que, formando parte de procesos históricos más amplios, deben ser tratados desde el conocimiento de las diferencias culturales, de las diversas formas de desigualdad social y de las implicaciones sociales, económicas y políticas que la comida tiene para la salud humana, el entorno y las sociedades. La producción, distribución y consumo de alimentos implica numerosos ámbitos y agentes en cualquier lugar y nos llevan desde las actividades agrícolas hasta el procesamiento de los alimentos, desde el restaurante o el comedor escolar al hogar, desde el individuo al grupo social; intervienen, a su vez, en el proceso de salud/enfermedad/atención. A pesar de la abundancia aparente, el sistema de producción alimentaria actual no asegura las necesidades básicas entre las personas, ni el reparto equitativo de los alimentos, ni la capacidad regenerativa de los recursos utilizados ni tampoco la preservación de la diversidad biocultural. Tampoco favorece la confianza en los alimentos producidos, ni el deseo tan humano como legítimo de querer preservar y mejorar la calidad de vida.

Description: Ausias March (1400-1459) lebte in einer Zeit der Umbrüche: Die letzten Gewissheiten des Mittelalters machten dem Geist der frühen Neuzeit Platz; das Bürgertum beginnt dem Adel ernsthaft Konkurrenz zu machen und die Ideale der hohen Minne der okzitanischen Trobadore geraten ins Schwanken Zugleich bricht König Alfons V. von Aragonien nach Italien auf, um dort König von Neapel zu werden und so die Königreiche der Aragonesischen Krone in Personalunion mit dem italienischen Süden zu verbinden. Der daraus resultierende rege kulturelle Austausch bringt die Ideen und Moden der italienischen Renaissance auch nach Valencia, der damals größten Stadt der iberischen Halbinsel. Es folgt das segle d'or de les lletres valencianes - das "goldene Jahrhundert der valencianischen Literatur", das als Vorläufer des darauffolgenden Siglo de oro der kastilischen Literatur gesehen werden kann. Im Bereich der Lyrik ist Ausias March zweifellos der wichtigste Repräsentant dieses Goldenen Zeitalters. Description: Title in English: Graphomotor skills: New approaches to the diagnosis This book focuses on graphomotor skills, their disorders and brings new possibilities to their diagnosis. The introduction discusses various theories of writing and the development of graphomotor skills and writing. It also defines graphomotor disorders and developmental dysgraphia and offers an overview of diagnostic methods for assessing handwriting disabilities. In the final chapter, the authors present an original approach to diagnosing graphomotor disabilities based on an objective analysis of online handwriting. The resulting “Graphomotor and Handwriting Disabilities Rating Scale” (GHDRS) allows for a detailed assessment of the sources of a child’s difficulties. The book is intended primarily for workers in the school guidance system, especially special educators and psychologists, but also for others interested in graphomotor skills.

Description: Els treballs aplegats en aquest volum recullen les contribucions fetes als dos primers col·loquis lingüístics de la Universitat de Barcelona, celebrats respectivament el 20 de desembre de 1993 i el 19 de desembre de 1994. El primer d’aquests dos col·loquis, amb el títol de «Corpus, corpora», ofereix una panoràmica general sobre els corpus, tant els orals com els escrits, i en particular sobre el corpus de l’Institut d’Estudis Catalans i el de la Universitat de Barcelona. La taula rodona sobre recerques i aplicacions a partir de corpus lingüístics que va cloure el col·loqui es publica transcrita com a final d’aquesta primera part. Long-term experience shows that it is not enough just to increase the amount of practice, but also to reflect the gained experience well in practice. The aim of this publication (respectively, a set of tools for student (self) assessment on teacher training) is to contribute to the improvement of the practical professional training of future teachers at the 1st grade of elementary school.

Description: Title in English: The concept of developing geoinformatics skills in teaching at primary and secondary schools This conceptual monograph responds to insufficient support for developing geoinformation skills in Czech lower and upper secondary schools. It aims to create an interconnected system for developing geoinformation skills in teaching in lower and upper secondary schools, emphasizing the implementation of GIS tools and proposing principles for the development of geoinformation skills in teaching. For this purpose, a matrix of learning tasks is created, arranged according to individual geoinformation skills – reading, selection, use, creation, and sharing. The monograph is intended mainly for pre-service and in-service geography teachers at lower and upper secondary schools, the leaders of school educational programmes, and teachers in non-formal education. Description: Title in English: Methodological publication of work with inclusive classroom with the focus on pupils with physical disability: Methodical Manual Publication is one of the outputs of the project Quality Inclusive Education of Pupils with Special Education Needs at elementary and secondary school. This text focuses on teaching pupils with physical disabilities in an inclusive classroom. The text is divided into three chapters, the first one defines theoretical background. Described is physical disability with an emphasis on cerebral palsy together with the specifics of the target group of pupils. Part of the chapter also defines special pedagogical diagnostics. The second chapter focuses on the education of pupil with cerebral palsy in inclusive school. In the third chapter are presented results of the research part of the project with special education needs – with physical disabilities with the focus on cerebral palsy.

The study support is focused on the issue of alternative and augmentative communication. The text presents selected systems and aids applied in our and foreign practice. The text includes diagrams and tables with photographs intended for recording notes and observations obtained during the seminar, discussions and practical work with AAC devices and systems. The questions aimed at considering the possibilities of using communication systems to facilitate the communication process, the target group of users and the essential role of communication in human life are included too.

Description: Aquest volum ofereix una mirada panoràmica a la cultura catalana des de l’òptica dels estudis afectius amb la intenció d’analitzar i interpretar la literatura, les arts escèniques, la música i la dansa com a reflexos dels règims emocionals de la contemporaneïtat. En conjunt, els treballs del volum responen a dos objectius principals pel que fa a la presència dels afectes en el món actual. D’una banda, exploren els discursos sobre el dolor, la vulnerabilitat, la ràbia o la resiliència, entre d’altres conceptes, per explicar les funcions i les formes que prenen els afectes i les emocions en la cultura. Description: Valencià Tècnic aplicat a l'enginyeria informàtica és un manual de llengua, teòric i pràctic, adreçat als estudiants i a les estudiantes de l'enginyeria informàtica. En l'estructura d'aquest manual es diferencien deu unitats didàctiques. En cadascuna de les unitats es tracten temes textuals i discursius, així com ortogràfics, morfosintàctics i terminològics centrats en el llenguatge específic de la informàtica. Així, es treballa tant la comprensió lectora com la producció escrita de textos en el context de la informàtica. Així mateix, es recullen qüestions d'ortografia i de morfosintaxi necessàries per a una redacció correcta en la llengua estàndard. A més a més, hi ha diversos temes terminològics relacionats amb el llenguatge específic de la informàtica, com ara la derivació, la composició, les abreviatures, els símbols, els acrònims,les sigles o els neologismes.

Description: Title in English: Non-traditional students studying education in Czech universities. This publication is devoted to the topic of non-traditional students in tertiary education. The key criteria for our definition of this group are age and a break in the formal educational trajectory after high school. From among all the non-traditional students in Czech higher education, we selected those who chose university studies in study programs that qualify them for work in education (e.g., teachers, counsellors, youth workers, teacher assistants, social educators, and adult educators). The book is divided into 11 interconnected chapters presenting theoretical background, methodology and results of mixed design research conducted by the team of authors.

Description: Jordi Brasó prologa aquesta edició facsímil del Diari de Vilamar (1922), que es publicà a la colònia escolar de Calafell i que simbolitza tot el moviment social de renovació pedagògica catalana d’inicis del segle XX. Juntament amb l’esforç de diversos mestres i pedagogs, hi hagué el de les institucions per fomentar una escola nova centrada en els interessos i les necessitats del jovent. En conseqüència es volgué millorar la qualitat, la vida i la formació de l’infant allunyant-se de la pedagogia memorística i no reflexiva. Això significava posar el punt de mira en l’alumne, i a partir d’aquest protagonisme elaborar tota la tasca educativa. Aquest diari, amb catorze números que van del 29 d’agost al 14 de setembre de 1922, detalla la vida a la colònia de la Primera República Escolar de Vilamar l’any de la seva creació. A càrrec dels alumnes, és un exemple de com era l’estada a Calafell, que funcionava com una ciutat ideal i amb un model d’autogestió democràtica organitzat de manera jeràrquica entre els habitants.

Description: Title in English: How to measure metacognition (not just) in gifted children. The publication deals with the topic of measuring metacognition, with special emphasis on a specific group of intellectually gifted children. It briefly presents the construct of metacognition itself, its relation to intellectual giftedness, together with a taxonomy of metacognitive phenomena. Next, the most important methods developed to assess metacognition are discussed and critically appraised. The monography covers both the methods, in which the data are registered during the execution of the stimulus task (on-line methods), and the methods, where the data are recorded with some time lag (off-line methods). The most extensive part of the publication is devoted to the topic of various measures, used to express the level of metacognitive monitoring.

Description: Title in English: 13th International Scientific Conference Didactic Conference 2019: Proceedings The field of didactics of mathematics, natural sciences and vocational education is an important area of education and training. Its importance is growing over time and, given the results of measuring different areas of pupil literacy, it can be assumed that it will not be otherwise in the future. The International Conference on Didactics, organized by the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University, DTI University and The Unity of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists branch office Brno, is an important platform for sharing and developing the area of common interests of experts. The conference proceedings provide an overview of both the theoretical and practical problems in education, focusing on didactics of the above mentioned fields of study, and sharing good practice.

Tanmateix, en els darrers anys s’han endegat una sèrie d’iniciatives que palesen un reviscolament de l’interès per l’escultura moderna i contemporània,un moviment de recuperació en el qual la universitat ha pres part. Aquest llibre aplega estudis sobre aquesta matèria realitzats per diversos especialistes amb la voluntat de descobrir l’escultura i el seu univers creatiu, sovint desconegut però sempre sorprenent.

Description: A partir de l’estudi de la tradició, el patrimoni i el turisme, Llorenç Prats ha reflexionat sobre els imaginaris col·lectius hegemònics en relació amb la identitat i sobre els mecanismes polítics i simbòlics que intervenen en la seva formació i el seu desenvolupament. En aquest sentit, la contribució de l’autor a l’antropologia catalana ha estat cabdal, perquè ha desconstruït alguns paradigmes de la nació i la identitat catalanes. A mitjan anys noranta va investigar sobre la categoria i l’ús del patrimoni com a artefacte cultural, cosa que va tenir una notable influència a escala nacional i internacional, i, ja més recentment, el seu treball s’ha orientat a l’estudi antropològic del turisme. Aquest llibre, que reuneix textos publicats per Prats entre 1985 i 2014, és una mostra representativa del seu llegat acadèmic i una eina útil per al debat, la docència i la recerca, així com un estímul per interrogar-se sobre la naturalesa, el caràcter i la funció social del que ell mateix anomena «artificis culturals».

Description: Title in English: Physical activity as an effective means of non-pharmacological care in oncology. Much of the existing research confirms the assumption that regular physical activity can play a crucial role in nonpharmacological therapy and quality of life management in cancer survivors. The treatment of oncological diseases itself brings about numerous undesirable side effects, such as cardiotoxicity, anxiety, depression, sarcopenia, polyneuropathy, cancer fatigue and sleep disorders. Regular physical activity is associated with significant benefits for health including a lower risk of developing certain types of tumours and elimination of the accompanying undesirable effects of oncological treatment. A number of epidemiological studies found a correlation between regular physical activity and lower mortality linked to oncological diseases. The minimal amount of the activity needed to gain this benefit has not been established, however, the recommendations of ACSM indicate that at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity are needed per week. Physical exercise as nonpharmacological treatment is a domain of cancer survivors therapy whose aim is to incorporate targeted controlled exercise programmes into the overall treatment plan of the patients. Exercise programmes can be performed both in the duration of the illness as well as in the period prior to the treatment or in the course of adjuvant antitumour treatment (including chemotherapy) and in survivors. When prescribing physical activity it is necessary to take current health condition of the patient into account including their comorbidities, age or the level of physical fitness. If controlled physical activity is to become an indispensable part of oncological treatment it will be necessary to prove the therapy is safe and cost-effective.

The authors of the studies that make up this publication look at the problem from several selected aspects falling within the domains of sociology, culture and new media art, which have in common an effort to put current phenomena into more general and more profound social, political and cultural contexts. They strive to avoid presentism in order to observe the processes gathered under the umbrella of “cosmopolitan modernity” from the point of view of the longue durée.

Description: This book is dedicated to the imagination of migrant communities from former Yugoslavia. It contextualizes their imagination in relation to the history, space and culture of Yugoslavia. Its empirical basis is grounded in the contemporary history of the migration from former Yugoslavia. The first part of the work deals with the methodology and theory relevant to the case studies. Besides the theory of imagination originating in the thought of Émile Durkheim, Cornelius Castoriadis, Benedict Anderson and Arjun Appadurai. I have also focused on the theory of popular culture, quoting its founding thinkers related to the Birmingham school of Centre of contemporary Cultural Studies, as well as John Fiske and the parallel culture- -driven research of Pierre Bourdieu and Michel de Certeau. The theoretical framework of this book generally relates to Marxism, and the works of Antonio Gramsci, David Harvey, Immanuel Wallerstein, Slavoj Žižek and others. The methodology of this book is closely inspired by the anthropological tradition of participant observation. The primary sources are heterogeneous and partly issue from the narration of the informants during several in-depth interviews as well as from narration, edited either by the different institutions of the host-country or the by editors based in the home-country. The second part of the book provides a historical and geographical context for the case studies that follow. It presents the contemporary history of migration from the western Balkans starting at the beginning of the 20th century as cross border migrations following patterns of industrial modernisation. The economic migrations of the working classes were supplemented by migrations of members of the intellectual elites who chose merely symbolic destinations for emigration. However, the core-periphery of primarily economic relations of the world-system as identified by Immanuel Wallerstein remained unchanged even by this symbolic logic. Migrations during the second half of the 20th century are presented in more detail. The political turmoil of 1941-1948 which established the Yugoslav Socialist Federation in its position between the two blocs and this point is the essential contextual reference of this book. During the socialist years in Yugoslavia we may identify two main motives of migration – economic and political. These may somehow relate to the previous histories of popular and elite emigration but under the new political regime it changed substantially. These two motives are part of the establishment of specific segments of migrants and their interrelations. Starting from the early 1960s the economic motive of migration gave rise to the phenomenon of Gastatbajteri (guest-workers) that changed the social and cultural landscape of former Yugoslavia, and together with it also many cities of Western European and other host-countries. However, the frontier between the two types of migrants (political and economic) is not completely defined and in many cases the two motives coincided. The coincidence of the political and economic motives for migration may also be visible during and after the break-up of Yugoslavia. In this part of the book I cover the history of the 1990s refugee migrations that were often linked to the local practice of ethnic homogenization conducted by all parties involved in the series of conflicts. Besides, many migrants from regions that were not directly involved in the war used the possibility to obtain refugee status to escape the economic, social and intellectual downturn of the successor countries of former Yugoslavia. Here, the basic theoretical distinction between voluntary and involuntary migrations is discussed arguing that practically no migration is voluntary and should the migrants be completely free to choose, many would prefer to stay at home. Three host countries of migrants from former Yugoslavia are presented more in detail: France, Austria and the Czech Republic. Each of these countries has its specificities in the world-system and also in relation to migrations from former Yugoslavia. Differences and similarities among them are presented in relation to the different segments of migrants crystallised either according to their ethno-confessional/political background and/or motive of migration. Different segments of migrants from former Yugoslavia are formed around different memory-systems. As a first case study I present politics of memory linked to two lieux de mémoire – one in France (Villefranche-de-Rouergue) and one in Austria (Bleiburg). By coincidence both are important in particular for memories of migrants of Croatian origin. The two memorials however, present completely opposing views of national history. Villefranche- de-Rouergue is a symbol for Croatian antifacist resistance and Bleiburg a symbol for the retreat of collaborationist forces of the pro-Nazi puppet Independent state of Croatia. Both of these memorials however, form an example of political memory that even if on the first sight seems contradictory, is by definition syncretic. If the first case study deals with history and memory the second one completes it with the examination of the space dimension. Here I present different images linked to space that surrounded migrants from former Yugoslavia in their host-countries and I discuss also memories of spaces and places in the home-country. I identify three such images – Road, Landscape and Motherland. Based on these images I propose redesigning the nostalgic cartographies of migrants from those presenting world-views of the external researchers (nostalgia of multiculturalism) to those specifically declared by migrants (nostalgia of Home). The third case study is the one that is the most similar in form to most Cultural and Subcultural studies and deals in detail with imagination linked to music. Here, similar to the politics of memory, different segments of migrants are confronted with rock and folk music as well as with a specific local variety of pop-folk. Furthermore, patriotic and electronic music are discussed as well as the topic of Balkanism in cinematography and the communication of ethnic origins on French internet websites.

Description: El patrimoni literari pot esdevenir una «eina» on sentir-nos identificats com a societat, al mateix temps que pot convertir-se en un element diferenciador amb capacitat de posicionar-se i esdevenir agent socioeconòmic. Perquè això succeeixi cal que abandoni la seva posició perifèrica i se’n professionalitzi la gestió. Precisament l’objectiu d’aquesta publicació és evidenciar la importància de la gestió del patrimoni literari perquè es (re)conegui com a propi al si d’una societat i sobrevisqui al pas del temps reconeixent-li i reivindicant-ne la importància en termes identitaris, de cohesió social i econòmics, com a motor de desenvolupament. We also see a huge didactic potential in 3D technology, which is currently not being used. The implementation of 3D technologies in teaching at primary and secondary schools enables the creation of completely new types of teaching aids and increases the availability of teaching models for pupils and students. Students can work with teaching models in class and, with methodological supports, they also actively participate in their creation.

Vychází z detailního popisu jazyků a dialektů současného Španělska a snaží se načrtnout jazykovou dimenzi konfliktů, ke kterým dochází v tomto mnohojazyčném státě. Popisuje historii a současnost složitého vztahu mezi jazykem oficiálním (španělština) a jazyky kooficiálními (katalánština, baskičtina, galicijština). Ukazuje, že jazykový rozměr je jen jedním z aspektů, byť důležitým, daleko složitějšího konfliktu a že vztah mezi tímto jazykovým rozměrem a dimenzí politickou, kulturní a sociální je daleko komplikovanější, než jak se obvykle prezentuje. Vychází z analýzy aktuálních statistických dat a kromě detailního popisu stavu na jednotlivých dvojjazyčných územích (Baskicko, Galicie, Katalánsko, Valencie, Baleáry) obsahuje též zobecňující komentář, z kterého vyplývá, jak rozdílná je povaha jazykových konfliktů na jednotlivých územích a jak obtížné je hledat řešení na centrální, celošpanělské úrovni.

Description: La literatura popular, entesa en el sentit que en anglès es dóna al terme «folk literature», representa com a mínim la meitat de la literatura que es produeix en una cultura. Tanmateix, sovint no som prou conscients de la importància que té ni de l'espai que ocupa en les nostres vides. El present llibre pren com a objecte d'estudi aquesta branca del folklore, que es coneix també amb les denominacions de literatura tradicional, literatura oral, literatura oral popular i etnopoètica, depenent de la tradició seguida al llarg de la història d'aquests estudis. Més concretament, el llibre se centra en l'estudi de la història de la literatura popular catalana i té per objectiu explicar la importància que ha tingut en el passat i encara té avui dia aquesta branca del saber en tots els territoris de parla catalana: Catalunya, les Illes Balears, el País Valencià, el Carxe, la Franja d'Aragó, Andorra, la Catalunya del Nord i l'Alguer. Description: Title in English: Motivation Support in Teaching German as a Foreign Language (and Beyond) With regard to the proven significant impact of motivation on learning processes and their success, promoting learner’s motivation can be described as an important part of pedagogical activity. The current book presents research investigations into learners’ motivation in learning German as a foreign language. A qualitative research design conducted as a multi-case study was chosen in order to gain a deeper insight into the issue of motivation. The results obtained showed the wide scope of teachers’ motivating influence on their learners. Many of the existing findings on motivation could be verified. Moreover, the specifics of motivation towards German as a second foreign language as well as the culturally conditioned specifics concerning Czech learners’ attitudes towards the German language have been highlighted.

Description: Title in English: Test versions equivalence of the Slovak upper-secondary school leaving examination The research presented in this book strives to answer how test versions equivalence – a necessary condition for meaningful and fair interpretation and comparison of students’ results – could be achieved in the context of high-stakes examination. The research was carried on the Slovak upper-secondary school leaving examination in English at B1 level, namely on the tests of receptive skills operationalized between 2012 and 2015. Theoretical research on the methods and procedures and the application of some of them on the Slovak examinations in the empirical part provided deep insight into the degree of comparability of the test versions used between 2012 and 2015 and made it possible to identify problem areas in terms of test versions comparability. The research helped to identify suitable methods and approaches that might enable to develop equivalent test versions and subsequently, to interpret meaningfully the test results and the measured construct, i.e. students’ language proficiency.

Description: L’obra completa de Rossend Arús i Arderiu (1845-1891), dramaturg popular, republicà, catalanista, lliurepensador i maçó, integra més de cinquanta peces dramàtiques i constitueix la col·lecció més extensa de teatre vuitcentista a l’abast del lector actual. De les seves peces, que tenen una dimensió política, sobresurten els drames realistes contemporanis i en prosa, en què l’autor va ser pioner. Aquest segon volum, amb les peces escrites entre el 1874 i el 1877, segueix el títol Teatre complet I (1865-1873), que incloïa un estudi aprofundit de Magí Sunyer, professor titular del Departament de Filologia Catalana de la Universitat Rovira i Virgili.

María Casado i té entre els seus objectius incidir en el diàleg entre la universitat i la societat mitjançant la transmissió del coneixement cientificotècnic i els arguments necessaris per participar en un debat social informat. Amb la publicació d’aquest document sobre informació alimentària ja són vint-i-cinc els documents que han tractat temes d’actualitat sobre els quals no existeix una opinió unànime, ni en la societat ni en les diferents comunitats científiques implicades. Això ha requerit identificar els problemes, contrastar els arguments i proposar recomanacions de consens. En aquest document, centrat en les qüestions bioètiques que tenen a veure amb la informació alimentària, el Grup d’Opinió vol posar de manifest la desconnexió existent entre l’actual política d’informació alimentària, basada en l’etiquetatge i la difusió indiscriminada d’informació alimentària que suporta el consumidor, així com les conseqüències que aquesta situació té sobre les eleccions alimentàries individuals, la salut pública i la perpetuació de pràctiques productives i patrons de consum ambientalment i socialment insostenibles. [spa] El Observatorio de Bioética y Derecho (OBD), con este documento sobre las cuestiones éticas y jurídico-políticas relacionadas con la información alimentaria, inicia una nueva línea de documentos acerca de las implicaciones éticas, jurídicas y sociales de los temas alimentarios, dada su importancia creciente y su relación con la bioética y los derechos humanos. La finalidad es incidir en las políticas públicas y en el debate social informado sobre los retos bioéticos que plantea el sistema alimentario actual y su evolución, atendiendo, en particular, al papel que van a jugar la innovación y las tecnologías de la información en la seguridad, la calidad y la sostenibilidad efectiva del sistema, y especialmente a la comunicación y percepción de los riesgos por parte de los ciudadanos. El Grupo de Opinión del OBD que ha elaborado este documento se constituyó en 1996 bajo la dirección de la Dra. María Casado. Entre sus objetivos se encuentra incidir en el diálogo entre la universidad y la sociedad mediante la transmisión del conocimiento científico-técnico y los argumentos necesarios para participar en un debate social informado. [eng] With this document on food information: ethical, legal and policy issues, the Bioethics and Law Observatory (OBD) initiates a new line of publications on the ethical, legal and social implications of food-related issues, given their increasing importance and their relationship to bioethics and human rights. The aim of this work is to influence public policy and inform social debate on the bioethical challenges posed by the current food system and its evolution. In particular, the document takes into account the role that innovation and information technologies will play in the safety, quality and sustainability of the system. It addresses specifically communication-related issues and public perception of risks associated with foods. The “Opinion Group” of the OBD that has prepared this document was constituted in 1996 under the leadership of Dr. María Casado. Among its objectives is to influence the dialogue between the university and society through the transference of scientific-technical knowledge and the analysis of arguments needed to participate in informed social debate. With the publication of this document on food information, twenty-five documents have now been published concerning current issues on which no agreed upon consensus in society or in the various scientific communities involved exists. This has required identifying problems, comparing perspectives and proposing consensus-based recommendations. This document focuses on bioethical issues related to food information and highlights the disconnect between current food information policy based on labelling and the indiscriminate dissemination of food information available to the consumer through different channels. It also identifies the consequences of this disconnect on individual food choices, public health and the perpetuation of environmentally and socially unsustainable production practices and patterns of consumption.

In the first part of the book, three areas of productive culture of teaching and learning are as theoretical framework presented: 1. clarity, structure, coherence, 2. cognitive activation, instrumentalization, semantization, 3. Supportive learning environment. The second part of the book presents 17 didactic case studies that have been developed by teams that consisted of researchers and teachers from schools. The aim of didactic case studies is to highlight key areas of productive culture of teaching and learning.

Description: Title in English: Sources and Distribution of Selected High and Late Medieval Pottery Products. The publication is focused on late medieval pottery products with higher aesthetical effect. The key group is represented by stove tiles, where the unifying elements of relief decoration helped to define series of motifs for stoves with specific iconographic concept, which were found in various locations. The same approach can be also used with small ceramic sculptures, aquamaniles and relief-decorated floor tiles, even though the achieved information value in these cases is much lower. Micropetrographic, XRF and other analyses helped to identify the production centres and the distribution model of these ceramic groups. 3D documentation enabled a detailed comparison of differences between individual reliefs and specific traces of manufacturing procedures. Individual chapters contain active links to the source database of analysed items and to 3D models of selected specimens from reference collections.

Description: Title in English: Foglar in us: the mystery of heads and quarries The presentation of the personality, work and influence of Jaroslav Foglar is not limited to a historical biographical sketch, but seeks, among other things, on the basis of an empirical survey (n = 1174), to provide a comprehensive professional treatment of a relatively complex social phenomenon. The evidence of the influence of the reading experience usually acquired in childhood on the whole future life, as well as the interest of several scientific disciplines (comic studies, literary science, religious studies, pedagogy) in the specific methods of the scout educator, writer of boys’ literature and editor of several children’s magazines is thus the first book venture going beyond theoretical considerations and hypotheses towards evidence based on surveys of readers and fans of Foglar’s texts.

Description: La recerca sobre el franquisme continua revelant-nos, en ple segle XXI, dades i fets insospitats. A l’abril del 2010, els investigadors que van participar en el congrés «La dictadura franquista: la institucionalització d’un règim», organitzat pel Centre d’Estudis Històrics Internacionals (CEHI), van avançar en la recuperació de la memòria col·lectiva de l’època franquista, especialment en els inicis de la implantació del nou règim. L’interès del congrés no sols va raure en el perfil dels ponents, els principals historiadors del període, sinó també en el contingut de les comunicacions dels nombrosos investigadors que hi van participar, de les quals presentem una selecció. És per això que aquesta obra, que aplega tant les ponències com les comunicacions del congrés, representa una de les aportacions més valuoses a la historiografia sobre la dictadura.

In his monograph Czech Problem Drama of the 1960s, David Kroča (b. 1973), a literary scholar and educator at Masaryk University, focuses on a period that can in many respects be viewed as a turning point in the poetics of the original Czech drama. From the varied production of drama in the 1960s, which was rich in genre, he chose to research a specific stream called problem drama in which an ordinary dramatic conflict is substituted with an escalated confrontation of different opinions related to a particular problem. The introductory theoretical and context chapters consider the developmental tendencies in Czech drama as well as some important foreign resources. The core of the work consists of analytical and interpretative chapters which deal with the analysis of those dramas where the authors tackle serious existential problems and question social and moral responsibility.

Description: Aquest volum recull les contribucions que es van presentar a la vint-i-tresena edició del Col·loqui Lingüístic de la Universitat de Barcelona (CLUB 23), el qual, amb el títol «Noves aproximacions a la lexicografia dialectal», va tractar les diferents relacions que es poden establir entre la dialectologia i la lexicografia. En el marc d’aquesta trobada es va fer un èmfasi especial en els aspectes següents: els diversos elements diatòpics que són presents en els diccionaris dialectals, considerats tant des de la perspectiva diacrònica com des de la perspectiva diacrònica; la descripció de projectes que vinculen les disciplines esmentades —les característiques del Tresor lexicogràfic valencià o l’explotació informàtica del Diccionari català-valencià-balear—, i els aspectes més remarcables que configuren els diccionaris espontanis, duts a terme per autors no lingüistes, tot destacant la seva aplicació en l’estudi de la variació i del canvi lingüístics. El darrer capítol presenta una visió de l’estatut epistemològic del lèxic i la semàntica des de la mirada de la complèxica (complexitat) i presenta relacions entre l’estudi d’aquests vessants de la lingüística i aspectes de la cognició íntimament relacionats amb aquells des de la visió de la neurociència.

Description: This book presents an original historical source, entitled “An erudite and true narration of some changes that recently took place in the Grand Duchy of Moscow,” written by the Swedish ambassador to the court in Moscow and first printed in Stockholm in 1608. In his diplomatic report, the author vividly describes the political crisis in the Moscow empire, the tragic events of the Time of Troubles and the plots surrounding the successorship to the tsarist throne which he witnessed. He also depicts events that preceded these events, interpreting them in accordance with the territorial and confessional integrity of the Swedish Kingdom. In addition to the translation of the Swedish original into Czech, the book also contains a philological and historiographical essay, which sets the author’s work into the context of Swedish literature and political context at the turn of the 16th century. Thanks to its wide range of interpretive possibilities, the text is suitable material for students of philological and historical disciplines.

Díky širokým interpretačním možnostem představuje vhodný materiál pro studium filologických i historických oborů.

Description: Title in English: The future of metropolitan cooperation in the czech republic: development, governance, management Metropolitan regions are engines of economic growth, where research, innovation, technology and creative human potential are concentrated. The cooperation of municipalities in metropolitan regions in economically developed Europe dates back to the mid-1990s, while in the Czech Republic this new form of cooperation has been discussed more intensively since 2014, when three metropolitan areas and ten urban agglomerations were defined. However, there is still no systemic coordination of the problems and needs of metropolitan areas. The first activities aimed at real strengthening of metropolitan cooperation and development took place in the Brno Metropolitan Area within the framework of the TAČR ÉTA project “Institutionalization of metropolitan cooperation as a factor to increase the motivation of municipalities to cooperate in metropolitan areas”. The aim of the publication is to present the results of the project, experiences from abroad and their possible application in the Czech environment, as well as real steps to set up metropolitan inter-municipal cooperation.
