This paper is a sociological retrospective about the best of the republican Intelligentsia in Independence through its most representative generations: that of the 900, the Generation of the Centennial and of the 30, mainly. It is a historical interpretation that show how the impact of Inde-pendence fades over time and, despite the subsequence incessant increase of intellectuals, in any order, we no longer have references that shine with their own light like those that formed the Intelligentsia of the golden age shared by the above generations. For this analysis, the fundamental sociological concepts of generations and their succession in society are very useful, as well as their ideological contextualization in the face of the need to establish nationalism in a significantly complex and inescapable sociocultural fabric.

El presente estudio es una retrospectiva sociológica sobre el surgimiento de lo mejor de la intelectualidad republicana en el Perú como resultado centenario de la revolución de su independencia a través de sus generaciones más representativas: la del 900, la Generación del Centenario y la del 30, principalmente. Es una interpretación histórica que da cuenta cómo el impacto de la Independencia se va diluyendo en el tiempo y, a pesar del ulterior incremento incesante de intelectuales, en todo orden, ya no contamos con referentes que brillen con luz propia como los que formaron la Intelligentsia de la época de oro que compartieron las generaciones antedichas. Para este análisis son muy útiles los conceptos sociológicos fundamentales de generación y la sucesión de estas en la sociedad así como su contextualización ideológica frente a la necesidad de establecer el nacionalismo en una trama sociocultural significativamente compleja y a su vez ineludible.
