The family has been recognized in most societies as an important organizational form, due to the fact that it is attributed functions such as procreation, the socialization process, survival, physical and mental well-being, education, satisfaction of affective needs, initial configuration of personal identity, among others, all functions that influence individuals, Satir (2002) states that in the family elements are generated that will determine in the individual states of health and strength or states of psychic or emotional illness. The family has been transformed from the nuclear model to the emergence of various family forms which, according to Beck and Beck-Gernsheim (2003) "continue to play an important role, but at the same time, and this is what is new, autonomy, independence and personal space are valued much more than before" (p. 191). When the family creates, based on its structure and resources, a family business for productive and lucrative purposes, an alternative dynamic is generated that can lead to ambivalent and conflictive situations for its members, affecting both the family and the business structure.

La familia ha sido reconocida en la mayoría de las sociedades como una importante forma organizativa, debido a que se le han atribuido funciones como la procreación, el proceso de socialización, la supervivencia, el bienestar físico y mental, la educación, la satisfacción de necesidades afectivas, la configuración inicial de la identidad personal, entre otras, todas ellas, funciones que tienen influencia en los individuos, Satir (2002) expresa que en la familia se generan elementos que determinarán en el individuo estados de salud y fuerza o estados de enfermedad psíquica o emocional. La familia se ha venido transformado del modelo nuclear, a la aparición de diversas formas familiares, las cuales, según Beck y Beck-Gernsheim (2003) “siguen desempeñando un papel importante, pero, al mismo tiempo, y esto es lo nuevo, la autonomía, la independencia y el espacio personal se están valorando mucho más que antes” (p. 191). Cuando la familia crea con base en su estructura y sus recursos una empresa familiar con fines productivos y lucrativos, se genera una dinámica alterna que puede traer para sus integrantes situaciones ambivalentes y conflictivas, que afectan tanto la estructura familiar, como la empresarial.
