El libro estudia las posiciones e intervenciones de un conjunto de catorce actores: Álvaro Alsogaray, Alberto Benegas Lynch, Germán Bidart Campos, Horacio García Belsunce, Jorge Luis García Venturini, Mariano Grondona, Juan Segundo Linares Quintana, Mario Justo López, José Alfredo Martínez de Hoz, Víctor Massuh, Jaime Perriaux, Ambrosio Romero Carranza, Carlos Sánchez Sañudo y Ricardo Zinn. La elección de estos nombres implica considerar un abanico amplio de trayectorias que componen figuras intelectuales de diversidad, unidas sin embargo por muchos más vínculos que la adscripción política. La obra se interna en la historia político-intelectual de un espacio ideológico aún poco explorado desde los estudios sobre la intelectualidad, las derechas y la propia dictadura, reponiendo los diversos espacios ocupados por estos hombres, sus proyectos, coincidencias, polémicas y desencantos en un momento clave de la historia argentina.

    Description: La poesía argentina sobre Malvinas tiene 189 años. Comienza su serie un primer texto anónimo publicado en La Gaceta Mercantil en 1833. Pero desde 1933, al conmemorarse el centenario de la usurpación de las islas, su escritura ya no tiene interrupciones e incluso se incrementa durante estos cuarenta años de posguerra, en los cuales no ha dejado de interrogarse sobre los efectos del conflicto bélico en la sociedad. Retiene en la letra y en la voz su verdad sobre la Historia: no olvida lo sucedido. A la soberanía nacional, añade la soberanía de su propio imaginario poético secularmente configurado en las entrañas de la cultura. Por todas estas razones, la poesía de Malvinas tiene mucho para decir y para ser escuchada por sus venideros lectores. No cae en la tentación de callar, no se desmalviniza, no opta por el silenciamiento –que es siempre letal– sino por la potencia de la palabra en su constante movimiento de captar lo doloroso e imprevisible de lo real de la experiencia humana.

    Description: As the second volume of the collection Violence, security and social issues, this book presents a series of recent ethnographic studies on the prison establishments of the Prison Service of the Province of Buenos Aires (Servicio Penitenciario Bonaerense, SPB). In line with the initial proposal of this first series of the collection, this set of articles have their origin in the most prominent final papers for the Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the National University of La Plata (Universidad Nacional de La Plata, UNLP), which have been discussed within the framework of the Center for Security Studies in the Province of Buenos Aires (Núcleo de Estudios sobre Seguridad en la provincia de Buenos Aires, NESBA), a group formed around the sustained participation in various research projects at the School of Humanities and Education Sciences in UNLP. These studies share an interest in analyzing the social relations developed inside prison establishments, as well as those that connect the inhabitants of these institutions with other actors and spaces of the rest of society.

    Description: En este libro, que constituye el segundo volumen de la colección Conflicto, violencia y política, se presentan una serie de estudios etnográficos recientes sobre los establecimientos carcelarios del Servicio Penitenciario Bonaerense (SPB). En sintonía con la propuesta inicial de esta primera serie de la colección, este conjunto de artículos tienen su origen en los más destacados trabajos finales de la Licenciatura en Sociología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, que han sido debatidos en el marco del Núcleo de Estudios sobre Seguridad en la provincia de Buenos Aires (NESBA), grupo conformado en torno a la participación sostenida en diferentes proyectos de investigación dentro de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación de la UNLP. Los trabajos comparten el interés por analizar las relaciones sociales que se desarrollan en el interior de los establecimientos carcelarios, como también aquellas que conectan a quienes habitan estas instituciones con otros actores y espacios del resto de la sociedad.

    Description: Ubicado en el cruce entre los estudios de la memoria y la transmisión de la historia reciente, este trabajo analiza los procesos de lectura y traducción de la historia reciente que operan en el interior de una institución educativa que ha asumido la incorporación de tópicos controvertidos y aún en proceso de elaboración en el contexto urbano particular que lo circunda. Relación esta que se da entre una escuela ubicada en el Municipio de San Miguel y los hechos ocurridos en la guarnición militar Campo de Mayo durante la última dictadura. El libro estudia el proceso de enseñanza que se da cuando una profesora de historia y sus alumnos de sexto año realizan un producto cultural destinado a la comunidad: un libro que recopila diversos testimonios de habitantes de San Miguel a propósito de la conmemoración de 30 años de democracia.

    Description: El Bolsón es conocido internacionalmente como un pueblo paradisíaco, bucólico, mágico y natural, algo que, ante todo, favorece al mercado turístico e inmobiliario, que motoriza la economía local. Las disputas sociales y políticas que se expresan en el espacio público son presentadas como conflictos traídos desde afuera que amenazan la armonía reinante. Sin embargo, su historia está marcada por la conflictividad y la estigmatización sucesiva de diversas otredades, y esto configura la trama de relaciones de poder, las experiencias de los sujetos y los modos de representarlas. Amparada en el relativo aislamiento geográfico, esta narrativa insiste en la ajenidad del pueblo a los convulsionados años setenta. Frente a ello, esta investigación expone la dimensión y las modalidades que efectivamente revistió la represión política en El Bolsón entre 1974 y 1983, así como las memorias que circularon localmente en momentos claves de la lucha por los derechos humanos hasta el año 2012, cuando fue creado el primer sitio de memoria sobre la expresión local de la última dictadura.

    Description: A partir del cruce entre memorias y documentos, el libro se propone abordar un tema poco estudiado en el campo de la historia reciente argentina y de los estudios sobre represión y violencia política: la experiencia de militancia y represión política vivida por las miles de personas detenidas por razones políticas durante la vigencia del estado de sitio, entre noviembre de 1974 y octubre de 1983. Durante ese período, cerca de doce mil presos políticos fueron alojados en cárceles de máxima seguridad a lo largo de todo el territorio de la Argentina. Cerca de 1.200 mujeres detenidas fueron concentradas en la cárcel de Villa Devoto y los varones fueron trasladados a cárceles que conformaban un verdadero sistema represivo integrado a nivel nacional, bajo control operacional de las autoridades militares. Luego del golpe de Estado del 24 de marzo de 1976, estas cárceles coexistieron y se articularon con los centros clandestinos de detención. Esta investigación ilumina esta trama represiva dando cuenta de vasos comunicantes entre la represión visible y la clandestina.

    Description: “Dilemas, apuestas y reflexiones teórico-metodológicas para los abordajes en Historia Reciente” se preocupa por presentar los dilemas teóricos y metodológicos, las potencialidades y la utilización de las fuentes para la escritura de la Historia Reciente, los condicionantes en las agendas académicas con el propósito de dejar explicitadas las preocupaciones con las que se trabaja en escritura de la historia del pasado reciente y dar cuenta cómo se construyen los objetos de estudio. El libro está organizado en dos partes. La primera dedicada a discutir conceptos, categorías y perspectivas teóricas, y la segunda orientada a reflexionar sobre posibilidades y limitaciones del heterogéneo y complejo universo de materiales utilizados en la escritura de los diferentes capítulos de ese pasado doloroso y que no pasa. No obstante esta división, los recorridos analíticos, teórico-metodológicos e historiográficos atraviesan todos los capítulos del libro, pero lo hacen desde aproximaciones disímiles, que aportan de manera significativa, sea a la reflexión crítica sobre cuestiones estructurantes de la investigación sobre el pasado reciente (la represión, sus dimensiones, modalidades y características; la militancia humanitaria, las relaciones entre violencia y política, los exilios; la temporalidad del pasado-presente; los trabajos de la memoria, la transmisión intergeneracional de pasados traumáticos), sea al conocimiento específico de capítulos concretos de la historia de las dictaduras argentina y chilena.

    Description: El Partido Socialista Popular ha sido poco explorado en contraste con su relevancia en la historia del socialismo en la Argentina en las últimas décadas. Este libro reconstruye su trayectoria desde su fundación en 1972 hasta las vísperas del retorno a la democracia en 1982 atendiendo diferentes aspectos y nudos problemáticos. El libro se centra, tras presentar las disputas historiográficas en torno a la historia del socialismo argentino y su repercusión en las querellas políticas, en tres cuestiones fundamentales: los orígenes del PSP y las características de los cuatro agrupamientos que confluyeron en esta formación política (el Partido Socialista Argentino, el Movimiento de Acción Popular Argentino, Militancia Popular y el Grupo Evolución); el modelo organizativo que adoptó y las especificidades de la puesta en práctica del centralismo democrático; y, por último, las peculiaridades identitarias del socialismo popular, de qué manera se distinguió de otras organizaciones con las que guardaba cierta afinidad y el modo específico en que articuló tres tradiciones políticas de las que abrevaba. El PSP fue un heredero legítimo de la tradición socialista argentina y sus expresiones partidarias, pero implicó una serie de discontinuidades significativas en sus elencos dirigentes, su funcionamiento y su configuración identitaria. Es por eso que, entre cambios y continuidades, el PSP fue un nuevo partido para el viejo socialismo.

    Description: En el año 1971 surgió la Unión de Ligas Campesinas Formoseñas (ULICAF). Esta investigación revisa las transformaciones políticas, económicas y eclesiales que dieron lugar a su surgimiento. A partir de estudiar de forma articulada los procesos históricos que implicaron la privatización de tierras fiscales y la expulsión de los campesinos que la usufructuaban; el deterioro de las economías regionales con epicentro en la producción algodonera, principal cultivo de la provincia; y la nueva sensibilidad asumida por sectores de la Iglesia Católica a favor de los sectores subalternos.     Description: Este libro aborda el proceso de politización y radicalización de sectores medios de la sociedad argentina en los tempranos años setenta, a partir del análisis de dos grupos de profesionales. Por un lado, pone el foco en un núcleo de psicólogos que, creciendo desde los márgenes de una institución psiquiátrica tradicional, radicalizó sus posturas al impulsar un conjunto de innovaciones que tenían como horizonte la idea de “comunidades terapéuticas”. Por otro lado, reconstruye el itinerario de un grupo de abogados que conformó una entidad profesional orientada casi exclusivamente a la defensa de presos políticos, en su mayoría pertenecientes a las organizaciones armadas revolucionarias. El texto busca precisar el repertorio de prácticas y discursos que apuntaban a impugnar tanto el propio ámbito disciplinar-profesional como el sistema social en su conjunto, en el marco de una trama en la que ambos cuestionamientos se planteaban de modo indisociable. Una sociedad “nueva” requería un “nuevo” tipo de profesionales y, a su vez, el ejercicio de la profesión aparecía como un espacio legítimo desde el cual delinear aquella sociedad que aspiraban a conformar.

    Description: La emergencia y consolidación del movimiento de derechos humanos es un tema que, si bien ha sido abordado por múltiples memorias, no ha sido explorado con igual intensidad por la investigación histórica y mucho menos a nivel local-regional. Restan innumerables preguntas por responder porque la narrativa general sobre estos temas de la historia reciente de nuestro país aún está fuertemente sesgada por la lectura del contexto nacional en clave de la experiencia capitalina. En este trabajo se analiza el movimiento de derechos humanos en Rosario y su zona de influencia durante la última dictadura militar (1976-1983) y los primeros años de la democracia, a la vez que se buscan antecedentes en las experiencias de movilización social y las comisiones de solidaridad y defensa de los presos políticos que se formaron entre fines de los años sesenta y la antesala del golpe de Estado de 1976. El libro propone construir una genealogía de los repertorios de acción, estrategias de movilización y adquisición de recursos (humanos, organizativos, materiales) que llevaron adelante sus actores y organizaciones en todo el período analizado indagando sus particularidades regionales como sujeto colectivo y poniendo en diálogo su trayectoria sociohistórica con las experiencias pasadas y contemporáneas de otros espacios locales y provinciales; así, se identifican antecedentes, rupturas y continuidades.

El presente libro intenta subsanar esa situación respecto de la vitivinicultura de Mendoza. Él recoge investigaciones inéditas y otras presentadas en reuniones científicas, publicadas en revistas especializadas o como capítulos de libros. El periodo elegido cubre el comienzo de la crisis del sector en 1913, la recuperación con el fin de la Gran Guerra, y los coletazos posteriores de la crisis hasta comienzos de 1923, cuando se derogó la legislación vitivinícola sancionada durante esos años.

    Description: Este libro reúne resultados de estudios realizados en el marco del proyecto de investigación “Territorio, actores, redes y cadenas de valor en la actividad industrial”, desarrollado en el Centro de Investigaciones Geográficas (CIG) del Instituto de Investigaciones en Humanidades y Ciencias Sociales de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (IdIHCS-UNLP/Conicet). El proyecto se basó en una perspectiva que integra las relaciones entre industria y espacio a los procesos de acumulación de capital a diferentes escalas, a las políticas públicas y a las transformaciones producidas en la estructura socioeconómica del país, particularmente durante el gobierno de la Alianza Cambiemos (2015-2019). Esta perspectiva incluye el reconocimiento de diferentes actores sociales, sus conflictos e inserciones en los subsistemas constitutivos de una economía mixta como lo es la argentina, y un análisis multidimensional e integrador del territorio entendido como condición, instancia y resultado de los procesos sociales. Estos últimos son analizados tomando como eje las dimensiones política y económica a través de conceptos tales como clases sociales, fracciones de clases, bloques de poder, relaciones de fuerzas corporativas, políticas públicas, autonomía relativa del Estado, hegemonía; por ende, conceptos que permiten contextualizar las dinámicas territoriales y sectoriales de la industria en las principales tendencias del período neoliberal.

    Description: El Apostadero Naval Malvinas, la Primera Unidad Naval creada en suelo malvinense el 2 de abril de 1982, fue un centro logístico de la guerra en el Atlántico Sur. Este libro reconstruye la historia del grupo Apostadero Naval Malvinas desde que sus integrantes regresaron al continente luego de la rendición en junio de 1982 hasta el año 2013, cuando se cumplieron 30 años de sus encuentros anuales, tomando como eje el clivaje experiencia-identidad-memoria. La investigación recoge las experiencias de posguerra de los civiles y militares que formaron parte del Apostadero, explorando las formas en que la vivencia bélica significó una marca en sus vidas, en sus identidades y sus memorias. A partir de allí, aborda las redefiniciones y modificaciones identitarias que atravesó este grupo de personas a lo largo de la posguerra, haciendo foco en las reuniones anuales del 20 de junio. Esto permite historizar la construcción de una memoria común de la guerra y de la propia experiencia bélica por parte de los miembros del grupo Apostadero.

    Description: El libro analiza el rol de las y los sobrevivientes de los centros clandestinos de detención (CCD) a partir de la denuncia de los crímenes de la última dictadura argentina. La propuesta consiste en trascender la asociación exclusiva entre este segmento de las víctimas de la represión y la figura del testigo para abordar el repertorio más amplio de prácticas que las y los sobrevivientes desplegaron como parte de su activismo en el campo de los derechos humanos. Para ello, el libro pone el foco en un caso particular, el de las personas que sobrevivieron al cautiverio en el CCD El Vesubio, un espacio de detención clandestina ubicado en el partido de La Matanza, en el oeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires. La investigación reconstruye la trayectoria de denuncia de este conjunto de sobrevivientes desde la última dictadura hasta el presente: el recorrido comienza con la primera causa judicial relacionada con los secuestros en El Vesubio, iniciada en tiempos de la Junta Militar, y tiene como punto de llegada el acto de señalización del predio del ex CCD, en vísperas del cuadragésimo aniversario del golpe de Estado.

    Description: En este libro estudiamos la colección de poesía Los Detectives Salvajes (2007-2015) de la editorial platense Libros de la Talita Dorada, poniendo especial énfasis en las expresiones poéticas de hijos e hijas de militantes setentistas que componen el catálogo. Por lo tanto, en una primera etapa, abordamos el contexto editorial en el que se inserta el proyecto de la colección de recuperar la poesía escrita por militantes políticos desaparecidos o asesinados por el Estado genocida, y estudiamos sus características particulares y las continuidades y discontinuidades que establece con respecto a la edición de poesía durante la década previa. Analizamos también las tensiones que produjo dentro del campo de la poesía la formación cultural nucleada alrededor de Los Detectives Salvajes, reponiendo las intervenciones públicas y las polémicas internas y externas.     Description: Este libro es una contribución al estudio de la izquierda no armada durante la última dictadura argentina (1976-1983). El análisis del Partido Socialista de los Trabajadores-Movimiento al Socialismo (PST-MAS) permite reconocer los discursos y las formas organizativas del partido frente a tres ejes centrales: la instauración de la dictadura y la posterior prohibición y disolución de la izquierda peronista y marxista, las consecuencias de la represión basada en el dispositivo de los Centros Clandestinos de Detención y el proceso de apertura política que prosiguió a la derrota en las Islas Malvinas. Las páginas de este trabajo analizan las formas organizativas adoptadas por gran parte de la izquierda setentista basadas en un repertorio de prácticas que oscilaban entre la “legalidad” y la “clandestinidad”. De este modo, se abordan las transformaciones de las percepciones y las iniciativas del PST-MAS frente al problema de la represión, dando cuenta del pasaje del “paradigma revolucionario” al marco ético-político de los Derechos Humanos. Por último, el libro da cuenta de los cambios que se produjeron en las prácticas políticas de la organización en el contexto del anuncio de la apertura electoral (1982-1983) y analiza la novedosa propuesta política del Movimiento al Socialismo.

    Description: The publication publishes excursions of the Ljubljana Geographical Society, carried out between April 2015 and May 2019. If we break down individual contributions according to their main characteristics, we can point out some interesting findings. Let us first mention their concentration in the western part of Slovenia. Southwestern Slovenia stands out as an area of strong regional dominance, with the participants taking advantage of two excursions to the wide-open state border with Italy, created by Slovenia's entry into the Schengen area. The variety of excursions according to the method of implementation is also noticeable. As a rule, classic bus transport is enriched by walking. Completely different logistics were needed to carry out a cycling excursion through the Slovenian and Italian Karst. There is a continuing tendency for geographical knowledge to increasingly complement the content of other disciplines, especially archeology and ethnology, which certainly enriches excursions due to a different view of the landscape and emphases that geographers usually ignore or do not know much about.
    Description: V publikaciji so objavljene ekskurzije Ljubljanskega geografskega društva, izvedene med aprilom 2015 in majem 2019. Če posamezne prispevke skušamo razčleniti po njihovih poglavitnih značilnostih, lahko izpostavimo nekaj zanimivih spoznanj. Naj najprej izpostavimo njihovo osredotočenost v zahodnem delu Slovenije. Kot območje izrazite regionalne prevlade izstopa jugozahodna Slovenija, pri čemer so udeleženci kar dveh ekskurzij s pridom izkoristili na široko razprto državno mejo z Italijo, nastalo z vstopom Slovenije v šengensko območje. Zaznavna je tudi raznovrstnost ekskurzij glede na način izvedbe. Klasične avtobusne prevoze praviloma popestri pešačenje. Povsem drugačna logistika je bila potrebna za izvedbo kolesarske ekskurzije po slovenskem in italijanskem Krasu. Nadaljuje se težnja, da geografska spoznanja v vse večji meri dopolnjujejo vsebine drugih disciplin, predvsem arheologije in etnologije, kar ekskurzije zagotovo bogati tako zaradi drugačnega videnja pokrajine kot poudarkov, ki jih geografi na svojih poteh navadno prezremo ali o njih ne vemo prav veliko.

    Description: V tokratni knjižici so pripravljeni opisi ekskurzij v slovenske robne pokrajine: Prekmurje, Belo krajino, Kočevsko, Bloško planoto, Baško grapo in Koprsko primorje. Razvrščene so od severovzhoda proti jugozahodu~nekoliko izstopa Baška grapa, edina obravnavana pokrajina v severozahodni Sloveniji. Strokovne opise so pripravili poznavalci, ki bodisi živijo v tamkajšnjem okolju bodisi od tam izvirajo njihove korenine in so z njimi še vedno ohranili tesne vezi, tudi v poglobljenem zanimanju zanje. Podrobni opisi posameznih ekskurzij navajajo priporočljive točke za postanke in temeljitejše oglede značilnih pojavov in procesov, ob tem pa nazorno predstavijo aktualne tematike. Ob številnih zemljevidih, skicah, shemah, grafikonih in fotografijah je podajanje dovolj poljudno, da je razumljivo tudi povprečno razgledanemu bralcu.

    Description: This study attempts to illustrate the role of regional policy in the development of spatial structures and simultaneously determine the success and the possibly diverse response of individual instruments of regional policy to the structures of problem areas. We established that the influences of the regional policy are relatively minor, a consequence of the scant financial means devoted to the stimulation of regional development, the lack of power of the overall regional policy relative to all development currents introduced by inclusion in the European Union, and very aggressive globalization. However, we are able to cite some of its successes, mostly visible on the local level, although at higher levels their influence weakened. Because the goals of the regional policy in the previous period have not been achieved, we suggest some changes that would either strengthen the current method of stimulating regional development or abandon it altogether and turn toward the active stimulation of the polycentric network of cities that would result in the greater competitiveness of individual centers, which we hope would also have positive effects in their immediate hinterland.
    Description: Avtor v knjigi prikazuje vlogo regionalne politike pri razvoju prostorskih struktur, obenem pa ugotavlja uspešnost in morebitno različno odzivanje posameznih instrumentov regionalne politike na strukturne značilnosti problemskih območij. Poleg vidnih prostorskih vplivov so obravnavani tudi socioekonomski dejavniki, ki učinkujejo predvsem na prikrite prostorske strukture. V knjigi je zajet prostor kot celota, kot splet naravnih in družbenih prvin. Avtor ugotavlja, da so vplivi regionalne politike zaradi pičlih finančnih sredstev, nemoči regionalne politike ob vključitvi Slovenije v Evropsko unijo in globalizacije razmeroma majhni. V monografiji predstavljena raziskava je eden prvih poizkusov celostnega vrednotenja projektov slovenske regionalne politike. Poleg vrednotenja projektov podaja tudi širši vsebinski kontekst, ki lahko služi kot referenčni okvir morebitnim nadaljnjim vrednotenjem.

    Paleoekološke značilnosti apnencev v okolici Škocjanskih jam (2022)

    Description: Iz vremskih in kozinskih plasti so predvsem iz paleoekološkega in deloma iz biostratigrafskega stališča raziskani štirje profili iz neposredne okolice Škocjanskih jam. Namen raziskave je bil proučevanje okolja sedimentacije plasti z giroplevrami v vremskih plasteh in tistega dela kozinskih plasti, kjer se pojavljajo haraceje in polži. Školjke iz rodu Gyropleura, Apricardia in morda še druge školjke so v apnencih vremskih plasti na drugotnem mestu~školjke so živele v plitvi vodi nedaleč od obale, na drugotno mesto so jih prinesli valovi in tokovi~odsotnost rapidionin v horizontih z giroplevrami potrjuje trditev, da so bile lupine nametane proti obali, saj so rapidionine živele v izrazito lagunskem okolju. Na plitvo okolje sedimentacije kažejo tudi laminiti~pri haracejah iz kozinskih plasti imamo primere flore na mestu in primere presedimentiranih delov haracej (oogonijev)~oogonije so vodni tokovi prenašali proti globljim delom sedimentacijskega bazena. Skupaj z nepresedimentiranimi haracejami se pogosto pojavljajo tudi polži, s kemično analizo kisikovih in ogljikovih izotopov v vzorcih pa je bil ugotovljen večkraten vpliv sladke vode na morsko okolje.

    Description: Movement and mobility, in its various modes, have strong implications for social, political and cultural dimensions of peoples’ daily lives and their broader social realities. The book addresses individual experiences of movement, focusing on spatial and temporal implications of movement and mobility. The core idea is that mobility and movement engender moving places – places the location of which is not geographically fixed but relative. Places such as home and homeland appear to be fixed and immobile, but in practice they are always contested and depend on practices, imaginaries and politics of movement. They are continuously redefined through given social, political, historical and economic contingencies. The book explores the interrelatedness between spatial configuration and practices and politics of movement, mobility and immobility. Ethnographically, the book explores the specificities of given regions, addressing two basic topics of place-making linked through movement. The first one is relationality, i.e. relations between centres and peripheries as well as relations between people and places as they are generated through movement. Both topics are explored ethnographically and comparatively, enriching theoretical discussion on movement, mobility, immobility and place making.
    Description: Knjiga obravnava posameznikove izkušnje gibanj in se sprašuje o njegovih družbenih, prostorskih ter časovnih posledicah: gibanje posameznikov povzroča tudi gibanje krajev. Kraji in njihove lokacije niso geografsko statični, temveč so relativni in odnosni. Kraji, kot so dom in domovina, za katere se pogosto zdi, da so sorazmeroma stabilni in nepremakljivi, so pravzaprav nenehno pogojeni in na nek način ujeti v prakse, imaginarije in politike gibanj. So odnosi in relacije, katerih pomen in lokacija sta odvisna od določenega družbenega, ekonomskega, zgodovinskega in naključnega konteksta. Knjiga združuje prispevke, ki izhajajoč iz etnografske perspektive naslavljajo gibanja in raziskujejo vzpostavljanje odnosov med ljudmi in kraji ter ustvarjanje relativnih lokacij v različnih, a med seboj povezanih območjih v Sloveniji, Albaniji in Argentini. Njihove diskusije naslavljajo dve med seboj prepleteni tematiki. Prva se nanaša na odnosnost med centrom in periferijo, kot tudi med ljudmi in kraji, ki se ustvarjajo skozi gibanje. Druga tematika omenjenega sklopa, pa povezuje koncept korenin in vračanja, ki je opredeljen kot fizično ali simbolno premikanje v določenem kraju in lokaciji.

    Description: La crisis social y económica que dio inicio al siglo XXI en nuestro país reforzó la convicción de un conjunto de cientistas sociales de interpelar al pasado cercano en torno a los legados que la última dictadura militar volcó sobre una sociedad que expulsaba a grandes mayorías a las periferias del sistema económico y productivo, desguazaba las representaciones políticas y parecía renunciar a juzgar los crímenes y violaciones a los derechos humanos cometidos por las Fuerzas Armadas y de Seguridad. Estas vocaciones alumbraron el campo de estudios de la llamada historia reciente, que se fue poblando de novedosas aproximaciones e interrogantes estrechamente articulados a los procesos políticos y sociales que desde el año 2005 permitieron una nueva instancia de juzgamiento y punición de los delitos de lesa humanidad perpetrados por el Estado en el período 1975-1983.     Description: En los últimos años, el uso de la noción de «patrimonio alimentario» se generalizó en América Latina, tanto entre los actores públicos como en las asociaciones y académicos. Con el objetivo de discutir esta noción, los autores de las contribuciones que conforman este libro produjeron reflexiones críticas para evitar la trampa de utilizar el «patrimonio alimentario» como un elemento de lenguaje cargado de romanticismo, como suele ser el caso, a veces, en los círculos de activistas y en los discursos de gobiernos. Desde diferentes enfoques disciplinarios, los trabajos empíricos publicados en este libro, producto de investigaciones llevadas a cabo en Argentina, Cuba, Bolivia, Brasil, Ecuador y México, constituyen un aporte clave para los estudios sociales que articulan los temas de la alimentación y del desarrollo. Así, la presente reflexión colectiva busca impulsar nuevas investigaciones y nuevos debates acerca de la utilidad de valorizar la diversidad de las prácticas alimentarias en América Latina a fin de enfrentar los desafíos de la soberanía alimentaria y de la economía local, de conocer mejor la biodiversidad y sus beneficios, y de reconocer la diversidad cultural regional a favor de una mayor inclusión social de los grupos étnicos y de las minorías marginalizadas.

    Description: This volume (‘Former waste disposal sites in dolines and gravel pits’) presents former waste disposal sites in depressions (dolines and gravel pits) using relief analysis of the former and current landscape and based on comparing them with one another. A comprehensive methodological approach has been created called the three-dimensional (3D) model, which is used to detect and record unknown, hidden former waste disposal sites in depressions above sensitive aquifers. The research deals with the problem of former waste disposal sites from the viewpoint of discovering them, creating a registry, and studying noticeable surface effects on the landscape (relief, soil, and vegetation).
    Description: Monografija predstavlja nekdanja odlagališča odpadkov v kotanjah (vrtače, gramoznice) z uporabo reliefne analize nekdanje in sedanje pokrajine ter na podlagi njune medsebojne primerjave. Z analizo reliefa smo na vzorčnih območjih Logaškega polja in Logaškega ravnika ter Ljubljanskega polja določili izhodiščno stanje vrtač in gramoznic pred njihovim zasipavanjem z odpadki. Dobljene rezultate smo preverjali s terenskim delom. Vzorčili (sondirali) smo prsti nad odpadki, na preseku zasutih kotanj smo merili električno upornost tal, s fitogeografskim popisom pa smo določili indikatorske rastline, ki so pokazatelj navzočnosti organskih odpadkov v kotanji. Rezultati terenskega preučevanja pomenijo nova izhodišča za bodoče geoinformacijske analize rastlinstva in prsti na odlagališčih odpadkov. Izsledki monografije so pomembna podlaga za morebitno izdelavo katastra nekdanjih odlagališč odpadkov na ravni celotne Slovenije, kjer je odprtih še veliko metodoloških izzivov, povezanih z različnimi tipi podatkov.

    Description: The book brings a thorough review of landslide susceptibility in Slovenia. In the introductory chapter the most significant geographical and other Slovenian literature on slope processes is listed, and then the basic characteristics of landslides are explained. The landslide susceptibility in Slovenia is presented on the example of twelve large landslides, followed by the chapter on legislation on natural disasters in Slovenia.The most important part of the book is the detailed description of methods for elaboration landslide susceptibility maps with different methods. The deterministic, statistical and probabilistic methods and corresponding maps are described into detail. Such maps have been elaborated with the geographical information system using the digital elevation model 25 x 25 m. Landslide susceptibility is finally presented in the framework of the regionalization of Slovenia that had been elaborated by the Anton Melik Geographical Institute SRC SASA and for all Slovenian municipalities. The last chapter of the book is important for geomorphology, describing the role of the landslides for the formation of relief.The book is intended to be used in spatial planning, physical geography, geography of natural hazards and other branches of geography as well as in related sciences.

    Description: Razvijanje medkulturne zmožnosti pri učiteljih in učencih Priročnik prinaša 15 delavnic, ki obravnavajo kulturno, etnično in jezikovno raznolikost slovenske in italijanske družbe. Osredotoča se na razvijanje medkulturnega dialoga med večinskimi, priseljenskimi in manjšinskimi skupnosti ter na razvijanje medkulturne zmožnosti vseh prebivalcev. Vsaka delavnica je sestavljena iz dveh delov. Prvi del je namenjen učiteljem, zato so v njem izpostavljeni cilji, teoretična izhodišča, napotki za reševanje in literatura za nadaljnje delo. Drugi del delavnice je delovni list na dveh straneh, namenjen kopiranju in neposredni uporabi v razredu. Delavnice so izvedljive pri različnih šolskih predmetih (npr. slovenščina, italijanščina, zgodovina, geografija, državljanska in domovinska vzgoja ter etika, knjižnična informacijska znanja, sociologija, psihologija, antropologija itd.). Priporočamo medpredmetno povezovanje. Ciljna skupina za reševanje delavnic so predvsem osnovnošolci v zadnjem triletju osnovne šole in srednješolci v Sloveniji oz. učenci nižjih in višjih srednjih šol v Italiji.

    Description: Bell ringing and bell chiming are presenting a valuable part of Slovenian cultural heritage, which is reflected in an extremely rich vocabulary that is part of our everyday reality and communication. The dictionary brings about 1035 expressions from the fields of amateur and professional engagement with bell ringing and bell chiming. It unveils the bells as a versatile musical instrument of cultural, ethnomusicological, artistic and also, in the case of older bells, of historical value. In addition to the modern terms, it contains some past terms, as well as many dialectal words, including the ones from vocabulary of Slovenians living in the neighboring countries. The monolingual design of the explanatory terminological dictionary is exceeded by the addition of English equivalents and the English-Slovene dictionary. This enables that also international scholars and bell experts gets acquainted with the special features of Slovenian bell ringing and bell chiming. The dictionary is intended for professionals from different fields of science, as well as for bell ringing experts, bell chimers, as well as everyone attracted by the sounds of our soundscapes. The authors of the dictionary would like to encourage new research of this kind, and especially would like that campanology gets appropriate position in the field of profession and science in Slovenia and abroad.
    Description: Zvonjenje in pritrkavanje sta dragoceni del slovenske kulturne dediščine, kar se kaže v izjemno bogatem izrazju, ki je odraz vpetosti pojmov v stvarnosti. Slovar prinaša 1035 izrazov s področij ljubiteljskega in strokovnega ukvarjanja z zvonjenjem in pritrkavanjem. Zvonove razkriva kot vsestransko glasbilo kulturne, etnomuzikološke, umetniške in v primerih, ko gre za zvonove starejše letnice, tudi zgodovinske vrednosti. Poleg sodobnega izrazja, med katerimi je veliko narečnih besed, delno prinaša pretekle izraze, sega pa tudi v slovenski zamejski prostor. Enojezičnost razlagalnega terminološkega slovarja je presežena z dodanimi angleškimi ustreznicami in z obrnjenim angleško-slovenskim slovarjem. S tem se ponuja možnost, da se s posebnostmi slovenskega zvonjenja in pritrkavanja seznanijo tudi poznavalci v mednarodnem prostoru. Slovar je namenjen strokovnjakom z vseh raznovrstnih področij, ki jih zvonjenje vsebuje, ljubiteljem zvonjenja in pritrkavanja, pritrkovalcem samim in drugim, ki jih privlačijo zvoki naših zvočnih krajin. Želeti je, da bi slovar spodbudil nove tovrstne raziskave in da bi zvonoslovje dobilo ustrezno mesto v okviru stroke in znanosti.

    Description: Vodni viri mesta Ljubljane so v neposredni bližini pozidanih mestnih zemljišč ali celo pod njimi. Že desetletja jih varujejo vodovarstvena območja. Eden od najpomembnejših ciljev trajnostnega upravljanja je ohranjanje ustrezne oskrbe z naravno pitno vodo brez tehnoloških postopkov njene priprave, kar Ljubljančani uvrščajo visoko na lestvici vrednot življenja v glavnem mestu Slovenije. Upravljanje ogroženih vodnih virov v urbanih okoljih zahteva celosten pristop in stalne aktivnosti. S pomočjo računalniških orodij znamo sisteme simulirati in tako pridobiti dodatna védenja o njihovem delovanju. Ta so v pomoč pri dolgoročnih odločitvah ali na primer ob okoljskih nesrečah. Za ustrezno načrtovanje so potrebna strokovna orodja, ki omogočajo zanesljive, pregledne in kvantitativne ocene učinkov ukrepov. Razpolaganje z zanesljivimi ocenami stanja in napovedmi olajšuje delo odločevalcem in tudi komunikacijo med deležniki. Povezava v monografiji predstavljenih postopkov in rezultatov v sistem izvedljivega upravljanja z vodnimi viri v Ljubljani je dosežek, ki je lahko zgled številnim podobnim okoljem, ne le v Sloveniji, ampak tudi širše.

    Description: From the viewpoints of regional and agrarian geography and regional planning the author systematically analyze all main natural features and many regional social factors of the municipality of Moravče: bedrock, type of relief, altitude, inclination, water conditions (including flood conditions), climate conditions (particularly insolation), soil and vegetation, land use, population, settlements, and economy. On the basis of the analysis, a detailed partition of the municipality into small homogenous units is made, three in the valley and four in the hills. The book also deals with the evaluation of the landscape from the viewpoint of individual types of agricultural land use~determines the suitability of areas for cultivated fields, meadows, and orchards~and considers the quality of locations from the viewpoint of settlement. The book concludes with recommendations for the most suitable land use and a survey of the current irrational use of land.The synthetic maps and theme maps showing individual natural factors can be used to advantage in regional planning. Emphasis is placed on determining the interdependence of landscape factors and their joint influences, on the laws and causes governing individual phenomena, and on the comparison of microregions.
    Description: Delo je s področja regionalne in agrarne geografije ter regionalnega planiranja. Avtorji upoštevajo prostor celotne občine. Sistematično analizirajo vse glavne naravne in mnoge družbene pokrajinske dejavnike: kamninsko podlago, tipe reliefa, nadmorske višine, nagnjenost tal, vodne razmere, vključno s poplavnimi razmerami, podnebne razmere, posebej osončenost, prst in rastlinstvo, rabo tal, prebivalstvo, naselja in gospodarstvo. Na podlagi analize je izvedena podrobna členitev občine na majhne homogene enote, tri v podolju in štiri v hribovju. Knjiga se ukvarja tudi z vrednotenjem pokrajine z vidika posameznih vrst kmetijske rabe~ugotavlja primernost zemljišč za njive, travnike in sadovnjake ter kakovost tal z vidika poselitve. Dodana sta še predlog najustreznejše rabe tal in pregled neracionalno rabljenih zemljišč.

Authors investigated the main characteristics of slope processes according to the type of movement (flow, slide, fall), their extent and effects. As geographers, they are interested mainly in the links between natural processes and man. More than sixty different slope processes in Slovenia are described into detail, based upon field work and examination of numerous sources. In this way all types of slope processes are included and described.Review of circumstances if followed by a discussion about the importance of slope processes for spatial planning as well as methodological and practical instructions for hazarad maps elaboration with different methods. Two deterministic methods and a one probabilistic are presented.The documentary value of the book is also increased by the fact that it brings a chapter about a memory of inhabitants on slope processes, as it has been preserved in sacred literature and aitiological narratives.The book can be used for thorough studies of physical geography and related sciences. Plentiful documentary material makes it useful for everyone who would like to explore nature in Slovenia.
    Description: V Sloveniji je bila do te knjige o pobočnih procesih objavljena le ena znanstvena monografija, pa še ta je obravnavala le zemeljske plazove. Več je bilo strokovnih in znanstvenih člankov, ki pa teme ne predstavljajo celovito. Knjiga je tako prva monografija, v kateri so celovito in podrobno opisani pobočni procesi in njihovi učinki na naravo in družbo. Ker se pobočni procesi pogosto zgodijo na istem kraju, je podrobno opisanih več kot petdeset pobočnih procesov, ki so se zgodili na ozemlju Republike Slovenije in v njeni soseščini. Predstavljeni sta izdelava zemljevidov z deterministično in probabilistično metodo. Pobočni procesi so opisani tudi v pripovedkah in svetih spisih. Knjiga je namenjena fizičnim geografom, predstavnikom sorodnih ved (geologija, gozdarstvo, gradbeništvo), pa tudi študentom pri predmetih, ki obravnavajo geomorfologijo, geomorfne procese, pobočne procese in naravne nesreče.

    Description: V okviru temeljnega raziskovalnega projekta Grobišče Župna cerkev v Kranju, ki je namenjen objavi in raziskavam gradiva iz arheoloških izkopavanj istoimenskega grobišča, v digitalni obliki predstavljamo primarne arhivske vire.V prvem zvezku predstavljamo grobišče, terenske dnevnike, katalog grobov in dnevnik meritev z izkopavanj leta 1953.V drugem zvezku pa smo objavili drugi del arhivskega gradiva iz leta 1953. Predmet objave je neke vrste digitalni faksimile kartotečnih kartic, saj je vsaka kartica prikazana v formatu izvirnika. V obeh knjigah skupaj je torej predstavljena vsa doslej znana pisna in risarska dokumentacija teh izkopavanj.V pričujoči knjigi objavljamo arhivsko gradivo iz arheoloških izkopavanj na najdišču Župna cerkev v Kranju iz let 1964 in 1965 ter iz Mestne hiše leta 1966, ki ga hrani Gorenjski muzej v Kranju.

Vsaka ekskurzija je tematsko posebna, tako da se medsebojno dopolnjujejo v raznolik kolaž, ki dokazuje, kako široko je geografsko obzorje.     Description: The book includes water protection areas near the pumping stations of drinkable water on Ljubljansko polje, consequently in the City municipality of Ljubljana and in the water protection area of the water plant Brest in the neighbouring municipality of Ig. The area of Ljubljansko barje was also included in the study.Water wells have, besides the basic function of preserving water, also an aesthetic and symbolic meaning. Many fountains in public and private use are true works of art, but that wasn't the main interest of our study. We concentrated mostly on private water wells and bores, which are not registered and therefore not supervised.
    Description: Knjiga celovito obravnava zasebne vodnjake in vrtine na območju Ljubljane, zlasti z vidika varovanja okolja in še posebej podzemne vode. Podrobno so preučena vodovarstvena območja ob črpališčih pitne vode na Ljubljanskem polju, torej v Mestni občini Ljubljana, ter na vodovarstvenem območju vodarne Brest v sosednji občini Ig. Vodnjake smo raziskali tudi na vmesnem Ljubljanskem barju. Vodnjaki imajo lahko poleg temeljne funkcije oskrbovanja z vodo tudi estetski in simbolni pomen. Osredotočili smo se izključno na zasebne vodnjake in vrtine, ki niso registrirani in so zato nenadzorovani. S podrobnim terenskim delom smo jih evidentirali 1686, od tega smo jih 1294 natančno popisali. Čeprav gre za študijo v konkretni slovenski pokrajini, je knjiga namenjena tudi tistim, ki bi se radi seznanili z metodologijo inventarizacije tovrstnih objektov in jo poskušali prenesti v drugo pokrajino.

    Description: A good knowledge of the natural and cultural heritage of karst is a precondition for the rational planning of life on it. We try to organize the knowledge to make it as useful as possible for planners. We are involved in individual projects related to the regional planning, water supply systems, the construction of transportation infrastructure, the closure of landfills in karst areas, the collection of data on karst caves and their protection, karst ecology and determining the extent of human influence on the karst underground. A new book series Karstology and development challenges on karst was designed to present the results of completed and new projects to a broader public.The first book with the subtitle Water contains selected directly applicable research studies on karst waters, their characteristics, endangerment, and protection. It is composed of ten chapters, which can be grouped into three main themes. In the introduction the importance, characteristics and vulnerability of karst aquifers are presented,then various case studies of pollution and endangerment are described (traffic, landfills, military objects, flooding), and at the end some guidelines for the protection of karst water sources are summarized. The book is a bilingual publication in Slovene and English. It is aimed at a broad circle of users, researchers, students and planners.
    Description: Dobro poznavanje naravne in kulturne dediščine krasa je pogoj za smiselno načrtovanje življenja na njem. Pridobljeno temeljno znanje skušamo krasoslovci urediti tako, da je kar čimbolj uporabno tudi načrtovalcem. Vključeni smo v posamezne projekte regionalnega načrtovanja, oskrbe z vodo, gradnje prometnic, zapiranja odlagališč na krasu, zbiranja podatkov o kraških jamah in njihovega varovanja, kraške ekologije in ugotavljanja človekovega vpliva na kras. Za predstavitev svežih izsledkov širši javnosti smo oblikovali serijo Krasoslovje v razvojnih izzivih na krasu. V prvi knjigi s podnaslovom Voda smo združili izbrane neposredno uporabne študije o kraških vodah, njihovih značilnostih, ogroženosti in varovanju. Sestavljena je iz desetih poglavij, ki jih lahko razdelimo v tri sklope. V uvodu so predstavljeni pomen, značilnosti in ranljivost kraških vodonosnikov, sledijo različni primeri ogroženosti kraških vod (prometnice, odlagališča odpadkov, vojaški objekti, poplave), na koncu pa je zbranih še nekaj smernic za varovanje kraških vodnih virov.

    Description: The finds and preserved grave groups from its tumulus cemeteries, which are kept in several museums in different countries (Narodni muzej Slovenije, Ljubljana~Naturhistorisches Museum, Wien~Peabody Museum of Harvard University in Cambridge, USA), give a good insight into the cultural and social processes of the time. Together with notes on the circumstances of find and contents of graves, they represent a valuable source for the study of social structure and differentiation, as well as cultural identity.
    Description: Magdalenska gora pri Šmarju-Sapu na Dolenjskem predstavlja eno najpomembnejših arheoloških najdišč iz starejše železne dobe v jugovzhodnih Alpah. Najdbe in grobni sestavi iz tamkajšnjih gomilnih grobišč, ki jih hranijo muzeji v raznih državah (Narodni muzej Slovenije, Naturhistorisches Museum na Dunaju, Peabody Museum pri Harvardski univerzi v Cambridgeu v ZDA), ponujajo dober uvid v kulturne in družbene procese tistega časa. Skupaj s podatki o kontekstih so dragoceni vir za ugotavljanje družbene strukture in diferenciacije ter kulturne identitete.V knjigi so podrobneje razčlenjeni zasnova in širjenje grobišč, sestav pokopov v gomilah, oprave pokojnikov in grobni pridatki, ki govorijo o spremembah noše in grobnih ritualov v petstoletnem obdobju, o prežitkih starejše lokalne tradicije, o stiki z drugimi skupnostmi, o vpetosti v blagovno-menjalne tokove med Apeninskim polotokom, Alpami in zahodno Panonijo.V zaključnih poglavjih so orisani nastanek in dinamika razvoja te skupnosti, njen položaj in vloga v dolenjski poselitveni mreži in osvetljena vprašanja družbene organiziranosti, rodovne in vojaške hierarhije ter kultno-religiozne sfere.

    Description: The celebration of the 50th anniversary of regional policy in Slovenia and the 30th anniversary of the country's independence is an opportunity to assess the efforts made so far in promoting regional development as well as to look to the future. In the book, we look at the path taken, describe the system of promoting regional development in the past, and point to the success of regional policy in eliminating interregional disparities. We present the role of regional development agencies and regional spatial planning in regional development and the quality of life in border problem areas from the perspective of the people living there. In the final part, we focus on future development. We point out the role of digitalisation and demographic change and try to shed light on future developments also from a philosophical perspective. Demographic, climate, economic and social changes require new approaches, fresh ideas and, above all, a systematic identification of development guidelines, ideas, development opportunities and factors that, taken together, can lead to a more balanced development of the country in all areas. Harmonious development is everyone's responsibility, but we can only achieve it together.
    Description: Praznovanje 50. obletnice regionalne politike v Sloveniji in 30. obletnice neodvisnosti države je priložnost za oceno dosedanjih naporov pri spodbujanju regionalnega razvoja kot tudi za pogled v prihodnost. V knjigi se oziramo na prehojeno pot, opisujemo sistem spodbujanja regionalnega razvoja v preteklosti in kažemo na uspešnost regionalne politike pri odpravljanju medregionalnih razlik. Predstavljamo vlogo regionalnih razvojnih agencij in regionalnega prostorskega načrtovanja v regionalnem razvoju ter kakovost življenja v obmejnih problemskih območjih, kot jo dojemajo tam živeči prebivalci. V sklepnem delu se posvečamo prihodnjemu razvoju. Opozarjamo na vlogo digitalizacije in demografske spremembe, prihodnji razvoj pa skušamo osvetliti tudi s filozofske perspektive. Demografske, podnebne, gospodarske in družbene spremembe zahtevajo nove pristope, sveže ideje, predvsem pa sistematičnost v prepoznavanju razvojnih smernic, idej, razvojnih priložnosti in dejavnikov, ki bodo ob skupnem delovanju lahko vodili v bolj uravnotežen razvoj države na vseh področjih. Pri tem je skladen razvoj odgovornost vseh, dosežemo pa ga lahko le skupaj.

Skoraj polovica teh grobov pripada zgodnjesrednjeveškemu obdobju. Gradivo obsega preko 1100 predmetov, za antropološko analizo je na voljo preko 700 okostij, ki jih hrani Gorenjski muzej v Kranju.V prvem zvezku predstavljamo grobišče, terenske dnevnike, katalog grobov in dnevnik meritev z izkopavanj leta 1953.

Obravnavani pokrajini sestavljata vzhodni del Slovenije: Posavje je tradicionalno prehodno območje med Štajersko na levem bregu Save in Dolenjsko na njenem desnem bregu, Posotelje pa sestavljajo vzhodni odrastki Karavank, vzhodni del Voglajnskega gričevja, Zgornjesotelsko in Srednjesotelsko gričevje ter skrajni vzhodni obronki Posavskega hribovja. Vsa naselja v priročniku so razporejena po abecednem redu, podan je opis naravne in kulturne dediščine, najdemo pa tudi vsebinski in krajevni vodnik z mnogimi stvarnimi podatki.

    Description: This volume analyzes two natural landscape typologies of Slovenia using quantitative methods and data layers. Based on two existing manually outlined typologies, several modeled natural landscape typologies were then produced using selected data layers and different geo-information tools. The main part of the analysis is focused on studying the compatibility of the modeled and original natural landscape typologies and on how successfully the original typologies can be reproduced using numerical models. By comparing the models and originals, it was also possible to establish the locations of the types that have been classified (confirmed) the same by different methods and those that have not been confirmed by any model. In conclusion, the volume presents findings on the use of GIS for identifying natural landscape types in Slovenia and proposes specific procedures for classifying Slovenia or other areas into natural landscape types and procedures for their evaluation. This volume also presents examples of various regionalizations and typologies, and lists available digital data layers and geo-information tools that can be used to make various typologies.
    Description: V monografiji je predstavljena analiza dveh obstoječih naravnopokrajinskih tipizacij Slovenije z različnimi kvantitativnimi metodami in podatkovnimi sloji. V praktičnem delu raziskave smo s štirimi podatkovnimi sloji in različnimi geoinformacijskimi orodji na podlagi dveh obstoječih, ročno začrtanih tipizacij izdelali več modeliranih naravnopokrajinskih tipizacij. Osrednji del analize je namreč osredotočen na preučevanje usklajenosti modeliranih in izvirnih naravnopokrajinskih tipizacij oziroma na vprašanje, kako uspešno lahko izdelavo izvirnih tipizacij ponovimo s številskimi modeli. S primerjavo modelov in izvirnikov smo ugotovili, kje v Sloveniji so območja posameznih tipov, ki so po različnih metodah klasificirana (potrjena) enako, in kje so območja tipov, ki jih ni potrdil noben model. Na koncu so navedene tudi ugotovitve o uporabi GIS-ov za določanje naravnih pokrajinskih tipov Slovenije ter predlagani postopki tipizacije Slovenije ali drugih območij na naravne pokrajinske tipe in postopki za njihovo vrednotenje. V knjigi smo navedli tudi primere regionalizacij in tipizacij ter dostopne podatkovne sloje in orodja, s katerimi lahko izdelamo tipizacije.

    Description: The routes between the north Adriatic and the Apennine peninsula on the west and the Balkans and the central Danubian plains on the east ran across Razdrto ever since ancient times. In the late prehistory and in the early Roman era the pass of Razdrto was known under the name of Ocra as was the mountain above it.Several Bronze age sites were discovered in the area of the Razdrto pass.The posts in the Razdrto area from the end of the 2nd and first half of the 1st century BC (Mandrga, Preval) differ from the other sites along the east Alpine routes, as they were not spatially linked to any of the existing indigenous settlements and did not show any contact with the surroundings even with their small objects. Most of the remains can be explained as traces of Roman passengers who stopped at Razdrto for a shorter period of time and not as remnants of a significant Roman settlement.A gravel covered road was constructed across the Razdrto pass in the second half of the 1st century BC or in the Augustan period. A roadside building was erected in the middle or late Augustan period and demolished in the mid 1st century AD.The shift of transit from Razdrto to Hrušica (Ad Pirum) took place in the 1st century AD. Post 1st century AD written sources no longer mention the road across Ocra, and the archaeological remains dating after the mid 1st century AD are extremely modest at Razdrto.
    Description: Delo prinaša temeljno objavo in analizo arheoloških najdišč, ki so bila na območju Razdrtega odkrita in raziskana ob gradnji avtoceste leta 1989. Zaključek pa predstavlja rimske poti čez jugovzhodne Alpe in širši pomen arheoloških najdišč na Razdrtem.

    Description: Transport accessibility to jobs, education, supply, and public services, which are usually most concentrated in large regional centers, has an impact on lower economic costs (savings in time and energy consumption), greater social justice (better and more equal access to jobs and education), and lower pressures on the environment (reduction of harmful emissions and noise, and increased road safety). Transport accessibility as a spatial component affects the widest range of development opportunities in an area, and it should therefore represent a significant component of regional and spatial planning. This book presents the main features of transport accessibility to regional centers as the central pillars of regional and spatial structure in Slovenia. Attention is focused on addressing the situation in accessibility planning itself, followed by modeling geographic reality using spatial analyses in a geographic information system. Emphasis is placed on the state of spatial equilibrium of regional centers. This study also examines the spatial differences in their accessibility, the main reasons for these differences, and the correspondence between regional borders in various regionalization proposals for Slovenia and their centers’ borders of accessibility.
    Description: Knjiga obravnava poglavitne značilnosti prometne dostopnosti do regionalnih središč kot osrednjih nosilcev regionalno-prostorske strukture v Sloveniji. Prometna dostopnost kot prostorska komponenta vpliva na najširši spekter razvojnih možnosti nekega območja, zato bi morala predstavljati pomembno sestavino pri urejanju regij oziroma prostora. Pozornost je najprej usmerjena v preučitev stanja na področju načrtovanja dostopnosti, nato pa so s pomočjo prostorskih analiz v geografskem informacijskem sistemu modelirane razmere v geografski stvarnosti. Te prikazujejo stanje prostorske uravnoteženosti in dostopnosti regionalnih središč ter ujemanje meja regij v različnih predlogih regionalizacije Slovenije z mejami dostopnosti njihovih središč.

    Description: The Alps are one of the most sensitive regions in Europe, and their future development represents a challenge that demands the cooperation of various experts, the business world, politics, and society, as well as the people living there. The Interreg IIIB project DIAMONT, which took place from 2005 to 2008, also addressed Alpine developmental challenges. This monograph presents the basic results of the project, supported by the broader theoretical framework of regional and sustainable development. We first present the cultural differences in the Alps and their influence on sustainable regional development. This is followed by the results of a Delphi analysis, which helped reveal the basic development tendencies in the Alps, and then we discuss appropriate indicators for regional development and harmonizing data. Attention is then dedicated to regional development instruments and the participative process, which is essential for attaining truly sustainable development. Finally, we present a Slovenian perspective on these issues.
    Description: Alpe so eno najbolj občutljivih območij v Evropi. Njihov razvoj predstavlja izziv, ki zahteva sodelovanje stroke, predstavnikov gospodarskega, političnega in družbenega življenja ter prebivalcev. Z razvojnimi izzivi Alp se je spopadel tudi Interregov IIIB projekt DIAMONT, ki je potekal med letoma 2005 in 2008. V monografiji so predstavljeni njegovi bistveni rezultati. Najprej so prikazane kulturne razlike v Alpah in njihov vpliv na trajnostni regionalni razvoj, sledijo rezultati delfi analize, ki je pomagala izluščiti bistvene razvojne smernice v Alpah, nato pa je izpostavljena problematika primernih kazalnikov regionalnega razvoja ter harmonizacije podatkov.     Description: The closing of the “Golden Gate” to the promised land, the United States of America, after the First World War triggered a new wave of migration to the developed countries of Europe, primarily France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. This was the time of the first Yugoslavia, officially known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Part of these migrations included Slovene emigrants and their children. The interwar period was marked by a major economic crisis and intensified ideological and political pressures. The Catholic Church was a strong presence with regard to the emigrants. The book ('Slovene emigrants and Western Europe during the time of the first Yugoslavia') describes and analyses the emigrants’ everyday lives, the work of emigrant societies, the publication of emigrant newsletters, the work of emigrant teachers and priests, the work of consular offices, the organisation of contacts with the homeland, the organisation of children’s holiday camps, and the children’s pen-pal contacts all over the world. It discusses emigrant activities, the zeitgeist, creativity and contacts with the new environments. We also find numerous simple literary highlights in the emigrant contacts. Singing, acting and music were always and everywhere present among the emigrants, both during joyful celebrations and solemn occasions. The book gives us a deep insight into the world of the emigrants during the period between the two world wars.
    Description: Ko so se po prvi svetovni vojni zaprla »zlata vrata« v obljubljeno deželo, Združene države Amerike, se je sprožil nov izseljenski tok v razvite evropske države, predvsem v Francijo, Belgijo, Nizozemsko in Nemčijo. To je bil čas prve Jugoslavije. Del selitvenega dogajanja so predstavljali slovenski izseljenci, izseljenke in njihovi otroci. Čas med obema vojnama je bil zaznamovan z veliko gospodarsko krizo in s povečanimi ideološkimi in političnimi pritiski. Močno prisotna v odnosu do izseljencev je bila Katoliška cerkev. Knjiga temelji na prikazu in analizi izseljenskega vsakdana, delovanja izseljenskih društev, izdajanja izseljenskih glasil, delovanja učiteljev in duhovnikov v izseljenstvu, dela konzularnih predstavništev, organiziranosti stikov z domovino, organiziranja otroških počitniških kolonij, vzdrževanja pisemskih stikov otrok po svetu. Zajema izseljensko dejavnost, duh časa, ustvarjalnost in preproste literarne utrinke ter stike z novimi okolji. Petje, igre in glasba so bili med izseljenci prisotni vedno in povsod, tako ob veselih praznovanjih kot žalostnih dogodkih. Knjiga prinaša poglobljen pogled na izseljenski svet v obdobju med obema svetovnima vojnama.

    Description: This volume (‘The role of part-time farms in the transformation of the urban fringe’) discusses the role of part-time farms in the economic, environmental and spatial transformation of the urban fringe. On the basis of the sample of Slovene suburban farms, the impact level of the proximity of workplaces on the mobility of the agricultural workforce was determined. It was also determined if socio-economic characteristics of suburban agricultural economies reflect in the characteristics of farm management and in the environment. This consequently stresses the role of part-time farms in the strengthening of multi-layered agriculture.
    Description: Knjiga obravnava vlogo polkmetij v gospodarski, okoljski in prostorski preobrazbi obmestij. Geografski, sociološki in ekonomski vidiki polkmetij so bili že raziskani in so povzeti v prvem delu knjige. Sledi predstavitev raziskave slovenskih obmestnih kmetij, s katero avtorica ugotavlja, kakšen je vpliv bližine trga delovnih mest na mobilnost kmečke delovne sile, ali se socialno-ekonomske značilnosti obmestnih kmetijskih gospodarstev odražajo v značilnostih gospodarjenja in posledično v prostoru ter kakšna je vloga polkmetij pri krepitvi večnamenske vloge kmetijstva.Rezultati so pokazali, da je kmetijstvo na večini kmetij le stranska dejavnost, stopnja urbanizacije območja, kjer je določena kmetija, pa pri tem, nekoliko presenetljivo, nima statistično pomembne vloge. S podrobno analizo vzorčnih obmestnih kmetij je bilo ugotovljeno, da so polkmetije glede na površino obdelovalnih zemljišč manjše od čistih, struktura njihovega gospodarjenja je prostorsko bolj razdrobljena in prispeva k večji pokrajinski pestrosti. V zadnjem delu knjige so predstavljeni tudi rezultati vrednotenja večnamenske vloge kmetijstva po posameznih socialno-ekonomskih tipih kmetij.

    Description: The theoretical part of the monograph (' Gender and migration: experiences of women as actors of migration') is based on researching the meaning of gender for understanding migration processes and their classifications. By analysing established approaches in migration and related studies the author shows that the definition of the term migrant is related to processed of inclusion as well as exclusion. Through life-stories of female migrants the author tries to explain the wider social context of migration, which, despite the rise of qualitative migration studies in the last two decades, is still lacking in established approaches to migration. The main focus of research is on experiences and perspectives of female migrants. By combining theoretical and epistemological approaches in migration studies as well as in women and gender studies, the monograph contributes to enriching knowledge in both fields.
    Description: Izhodišče teoretičnega dela monografije je raziskovanje pomena spola za razumevanje migracijskih procesov in njihovih različnih klasifikacij. Z analizo uveljavljenih pristopov migracijskih in sorodnih študij avtorica pokaže, da je že sama definicija pojma migrant proces, ki vključuje procese vključevanja kot tudi izključevanja. S pomočjo analize življenjskih zgodb migrantk avtorica skuša v monografiji pojasniti širše družbene okoliščine migracije, kar je še vedno, navkljub porastu števila kvalitativnih študij na področju migracijske teorije v zadnjih dveh desetletjih, manko bolj uveljavljenih pristopov. Prednost raziskave je v tem, da je temeljni poudarek na izkušnjah in perspektivah migrantk samih. Z združitvijo teoretičnih in epistemoloških izhodišč tako na področju migracijskih študij kot ženskih študij oziroma študij spolov pa besedilo prispeva k obogatitvi vednosti na obeh področjih.

    Okoljsko poročilo z dodatkom za širitev igrišča za golf v Lipici (2022)

    Description: The plan of spatial arrangement, which was given to us by the real estate developer to asses (environmental report and the estimation of the susceptibility of impacts on protected areas), deals with 80 hectars of the north-western part of Lipica Stud Farm, which covers the area of the existing golf course as well as the area of its foreseen expansion. We tried to establish, describe and evaluate all the important aspects of plan realization, taking into consideration all of the environmental goals and area characteristics based on the different segments of the environment. A major impact would be seen only in the potentially special protected area of Kras, more precisely on the group of beetles, among which we stress “Morimus funereus” as the qualification bird species of Natura 2000. We suggested the exclusion of 17 hectars of the area from further operations and the establishment of the new distribution of some individual golf-fields. The improved suggestion incorporates the exclusion of a stripe of the western part of the area in question, where there is a habitat of Morimus funereus. This change would also mean the preservation of fossile sites and of maple forests.
    Description: Načrt prostorskih ureditev obravnava 80 hektarjev severozahodnega dela Kobilarne Lipica, kjer sta obstoječe igrišče za golf in območje njegove predvidene razširitve. Ugotavljali, ovrednotili in opisali smo pomembne vplive izvedbe načrta, pri čemer smo po različnih segmentih okolja upoštevali okoljske cilje in značilnosti območja. Ob razširitvi igrišča bi bil opaznejši vpliv le na potencialno posebno ohranitveno območje Kras, in sicer na skupino hroščev, med katerimi je kot kvalifikacijska vrsta Nature 2000 izpostavljen bukov kozliček (Morimus funereus). Zato smo iz nadaljnjih posegov predlagali izločitev območja, velikega 17 ha. Popravljen predlog upošteva izločitev območja na zahodu obravnavanega območja, kjer je habitat bukovega kozlička, s to spremembo pa bi zavarovali tudi nahajališča fosilov in lepo ohranjene javorove gozdove.

    Description: Monitoring the transformation of the Slovene countryside revealed that there are relatively heavily urbanized flatland and valley areas, and on the other, peripheral areas where depopulation and the disintegration of the cultural landscape are increasingly pronounced.For the evaluation of the countryside and its typological division, objective criteria are selected that reflect the natural conditions, the principal characteristics of agriculture, and the fundamental demographic, economic, functional, housing, infrastructural, and environmental conditions. Overall, the evaluation is based on the level of individual settlements which enables thorough spatial differentiation. A complex evaluation is carried out by establishing the value and representation of individual groups of parameters and their corresponding weights. On the basis of partial syntheses, two synthetic maps of developmental movements in the countryside are presented that provide a solid foundation in the effort to ensure harmonious regional development.
    Description: V knjigi so predstavljeni rezultati poskusa celovitega vrednotenja stopnje razvitosti zunaj mestnih območij v Sloveniji. Obravnava tudi temeljna vprašanja regionalnega razvoja Slovenije in s tem problematiko preobrazbe slovenskega podeželja kot enega odločilnih dejavnikov vključevanja v evropske integracijske tokove. Za vrednotenje so izbrani objektivni kriteriji, ki odražajo naravne razmere, glavne značilnosti kmetijstva ter temeljne demografske, gospodarske, funkcijske, infrastrukturne in okoljske razmere. Izbor kazalnikov je postavljen na raven posameznih naselij, kar omogoča temeljito prostorsko diferenciacijo. Kompleksno vrednotenje je izvedeno z ugotavljanjem vrednosti in zastopanosti posameznih skupin parametrov ter z njihovim ustreznim ponderiranjem. Na podlagi delnih sintez sta variantno predstavljena dva sintetična zemljevida stopnje razvitosti podeželja, ki sta soliden temelj v prizadevanjih za zagotavljanje skladnega regionalnega razvoja.

    Description: Terraced landscapes with agricultural terraces are cultural landscapes with a special value. This volume presents them in pictures and words in all their diversity and attractiveness. After discussing the global and European dimensions of terraced landscapes and their agricultural terraces, the volume focuses on Slovenian terraced landscapes~they are discussed separately by landscape types, individual regions, and sample cases in the territory of selected settlements (pilot areas). The conclusion also draws attention to the exceptional value and appeal of non-agricultural terraced landscapes that have been shaped by nature and man.
    Description: Terasirane pokrajine, sestavljene iz kmetijskih teras, so kulturne pokrajine s posebno vrednostjo. Ponekod so v razvitih civilizacijah organizirano nastajale skozi tisočletja, drugje pa povsem spontano, ko se je človek prilagajal naravnim razmeram in izboljševal svoje možnosti za preživetje. Zato se v njih zrcali sožitje med človekom in naravo, marsikje pa tudi med ljudmi.Knjiga jih v sliki in besedi predstavlja v vsej njihovi pestrosti in privlačnosti. Najprej so izpostavljene svetovne in evropske razsežnosti terasiranih pokrajin in njihovih kmetijskih teras, največ prostora pa namenja slovenskim terasiranim pokrajinam, in sicer ločeno po pokrajinskih tipih, po posameznih pokrajinah in po vzorčnih primerih, ki obsegajo območja izbranih naselij. V sklepnem delu opozarja tudi na izjemnost in privlačnost nekmetijskih terasiranih pokrajin, ki sta jih oblikovala narava in človek.Besedila in fotografije dopolnjujejo grafikoni, v katerih so predstavljene temeljne značilnosti izključno terasiranih zemljišč, ugotovljene na podlagi analiz z orodji geografskih informacijskih sistemov.

    Description: With notary books we are not dealing with literary readings, but with abstracts of a mass of business manuscript agreements of various contents. The subject of this publication is the preserved parts of the third, ninth, and tenth notary fascicles from the Piran Branch Office of the Regional Archives of Koper. The fragments contain the models of documents created in the period 1284–1296. The authors of summaries in the preserved fragments of notary fascicles are Facina Grimaldi, Facina (Vitali?) and Francisscus de Malonbris.
    Description: Šesti zvezek piranskih notarskih knjig prinaša znanstveno-kritično objavo ohranjenih fragmentov treh notarskih knjig iz edinstvenega gradiva piranske izpostave Pokrajinskega arhiva Koper. Gre za dele tretje, devete in desete knjige. Prvi vsebuje 255, drugi 22 in tretji 422 skrčenih latinskih predlog notarskih listin iz razdobja 1284 do 1296. Vpisi v notarskih knjigah so pestrih vsebin in slikajo gospodarsko, družbeno in vsakdanje življenje v Piranu in okolici, nudijo podatke o prebivalstvu, njegovi etnični pripadnosti, o historični topografiji, pravni praksi itd. Kulturna dediščina notarskih knjig vpenja slovensko primorje v širši mediteranski prostor, ki ga je odlikovala praksa vodenja notarskih kodeksov. Objava vsebuje uvodno študijo, prepise izvirnikov, ki so opremljeni z datacijami, oznakami vsebin in opombami, ter imenski, pojmovni seznam in seznam vsebin vpisov. Ta pomagala olajšujejo uporabniku razumevanje in orientacijo v latinskem delu besedila. Uvodna študija, pojasnila k prepisom ter seznama pojmov in vsebin so – v želji spodbuditi širši krog uporabnikov k raziskavam preteklosti severozahodne Istre – prevedeni tudi v angleščino.

    Description: Slovenia is endangered by floods. Frequent intensive rainfall and heavy rains, a large proportion of mountainous and hilly regions, and numerous populated narrow valley bottoms are the primary reasons for this threat. Floods endanger about seventy thousand hectares of lowlands, and torrential flooding endangers a further three thousand hectares. Due to this enormous threat, Slovenia has more than one hundred years of experience in the field of flood prevention, while only more recently has the awareness developed in the European Union that flood prevention is cheaper in the long run than simply dealing with the consequences of floods. This fact is reflected in the increasing number of laws passed to deal with this danger, and for this purpose maps of flood hazard and flood risk are very important and are presented in the book.
    Description: V knjigi je predstavljen geografski pogled na zapleteno problematiko poplav, poplavnih območij v kontekstu medsebojno prepletenih naravno- in družbenogeografskih procesov, ki potekajo v konkretni pokrajini oziroma prostoru. S takšnim pristopom so poplave in poplavna območja obravnavani kot pomembne sestavine pokrajine, sestavni deli izjemno kompleksnih součinkovanj in povratnih učinkov. Te bi morali nujno poznati in v vsakdanjem življenju upoštevati zlasti pri načrtovanju posegov v prostor, ki si ga poplavne vode pogosto neusmiljeno prisvajajo. V preteklosti se je človek poplavnim območjem izogibal, v sodobnosti pa na to pogosto pozablja. Poplave so poleg potresov najhujše naravne ujme v Sloveniji, ki nam povzročajo ogromno gmotno škodo in včasih jemljejo tudi človeška življenja. Zaradi silovite dinamike in nenadnega pojavljanja jih ne moremo preprečiti, lahko pa se nanje ustrezno pripravimo.

    Description: The in depth archaeological research of High Medieval castle presented in this book is unique in Slovenia and among just few in this part of Central Europe. The book is based on analysis of the archaeological data gathered in more than a decade of archaeological excavations in 1980s and 1990s.In the introductory chapter written sources and interpretative models are presented. The analysis of pictorial representations follows. The focus of the research is on the archaeological sources, though. Above all the analysis of the small finds, stratigraphy and spatial analysis of the castle itself and the castle in the landscape should be mentioned.
    Description: Knjiga je prva znanstvena monografija o arheologiji visoko srednjeveškega gradu v Sloveniji in se uvršča med le peščico tovrstnih knjig v širšem prostoru. Monografija sloni predvsem na analizi podatkov iz desetletja arheoloških izkopavanj v 80. in 90. letih 20. stoletja. V začetnem delu so predstavljeni pisni viri in interpretativni modeli v zvezi z nastankom in pomenom gradu. Sledi prikaz maloštevilnih, a nikakor ne nepomembnih slikovnih virov. Glavnino študije predstavljajo arheološki viri, predvsem priročniško uporabna tipokronološka analiza artefaktov, stratigrafija najdišča in prostorska analiza gradu.

    Description: The book presents a wealth of historical cartographic representations of Slovenian territory. It is divided into two main parts. The first or the text part briefly presents the history of European cartography up to the end of the nineteenth century, maps of the Slovenian territory up to the early twentieth century and maps as cultural heritage. In the second or cartographic part, in turn, features important historical maps of the Slovenian territory presented in chronological order. The format of the book enables an excellent presentation of the presented maps. The maps presented date from the mid-sixteenth century, when the first independent maps of present-day Slovenia were produced, to the beginning of the twentieth century, when cartography developed into a modern discipline. The aim of this book is to present the extensive Slovenian cartographic heritage.
    Description: Monografija predstavlja bogastvo zgodovinskih kartografskih upodobitev slovenskega ozemlja. Razdeljena je na besedilni in slikovni del. V besedilnem delu so predstavljeni zgodovina evropske kartografije do konca 19. stoletja, kartografski prikazi slovenskega ozemlja do začetka 20. stoletja ter zemljevidi kot kulturna dediščina. Slikovni del monografije pa prinaša kronološki prikaz pomembnejših zgodovinskih zemljevidov slovenskega ozemlja. Format knjige omogoča odličen prikaz zemljevidov od srede 16. stoletja, ko so nastala prva samostojna kartografska dela današnjega slovenskega ozemlja, do začetka 20. stoletja, ko se kartografija razvije v sodobno vedo. Namen monografije je opis in prikaz bogate slovenske kartografske dediščine.

    Description: Razprava je nastala v okviru mednarodnega projekta »Zamolčani holokavst: spomin na deportacijo prekmurskih Judov« ter je izčrpen prikaz ene najbolj groznih in žalostnih epizod sodobne svetovne in slovenske zgodovine. Besedilo je razdeljeno na dva dela, in sicer opis priprav in izvedbo »največjega organiziranega zločina v zgodovini civilizacije« ter predstavitev prizorišč tega zločina na slovenskih tleh. V prvem delu avtor osvetli okoliščine, zaradi katerih je do holokavsta in genocida nad slovanskimi narodi sploh prišlo oziroma zakaj in kako sta iz obrobnih ekstremističnih fašističnih in nacističnih idej vzniknila kar dva totalitarna imperija in kako sta človeštvo pripeljala do največje katastrofe v zgodovini. V drugem delu je podrobno predstavljeno dogajanje na slovenskih tleh, s poudarkom na Prekmurju, kjer so do leta 1944 delovale tri dobro organizirane in za pokrajino izjemno pomembne judovske skupnosti. Abstraktna in težko predstavljiva tragičnost druge svetovne vojne je tako predstavljena skozi konkretne usode pregnanih in skozi zgodbe o tistih, ki se niso nikoli vrnili.

    Description: Most na Soči ranks among the most prominent prehistoric sites in Europe. It is mainly known for the extensive cemetery from the Early Iron Age, which was first investigated in the late 19th century and revealed over 6000 burials. The rapid growth of the modern village of Most na Soči again led to large-scale archaeological excavations in the 1970s. These were conducted in the span of eleven years and unearthed one of the most significant Iron Age settlements in Slovenia and the wider south-eastern Alpine region.
    Description: Most na Soči sodi med najpomembnejša prazgodovinska najdišča Evrope. Znano je postalo zlasti po veliki nekropoli iz starejše železne dobe, ki so jo raziskovali ob koncu devetnajstega stoletja in na kateri so izkopali čez 6000 grobov.Hiter razvoj kraja je v sedemdesetih letih prejšnjega stoletja vzpodbudil ponovna arheološka izkopavanja. Trajala so enajst let, v tem času pa je bilo na območju današnje vasi temeljito raziskano eno najpomembnejših železnodobnih naselij ne le pri nas temveč tudi na širšem jugovzhodnoalpskem prostoru.Na začetku monografije je podan geografski oris kraja, temu pa sledi izčrpna zgodovina raziskovanj, ki ji je dodan seznam dosedanjih objav.V osrednjem delu knjige so predstavljeni gradbeni izvidi šestintridesetih hiš, ki so bile odkrite v vzhodnem predelu današnjega Mosta na Soči.Besedilo spremlja 229 načrtov in fotografij, ki odlično dopolnjujejo detajlne opise objektov.V zadnjem delu monografije je na sto tablah predstavljeno drobno gradivo, ki je bilo najdeno v stavbah.

    Description: This popular-science publication describes the pile-dwellings of the Ljubljansko barje, which were created in the first half of the 5th millennium BC. However, when the lake was completely overgrown with swamps and marshes (at the latest around the middle of the 2nd millennium), the construction of such settlements stopped. From then on, new settlements were built on the outskirts of the lake banks, where the fields were previously. There they also farmed livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. They were accompanied by dogs. Hunting and fishing were also important economic activities~they harvested fruits in the forests. They made pottery vessels. Findings of copper and metallurgical articles, however, prove that at least since the 4th millennium BC they were engaged in copper metallurgy. Logboats were used to navigate the lake and in the second half of the 4th millennium even for routes outside the Ljubljansko barje. In short, they were very resourceful and were able to adapt well to the environment in which they lived.Only in Slovenian
    Description: Knjiga na poljuden način opisuje kolišča Ljubljanskega barja, ki so nastala okvirno v prvi polovici 5. tisočletja pr. Kr. Ko pa sta takratno jezero v celoti prerasla močvirje in barje (najpozneje okoli sredine 2. tisočletja), se je gradnja takšnih naselij ustavila. Odtlej so nova bivališča gradili na trdinskem obrobju, kjer so bile dotlej njive. Tam so se koliščarji ukvarjali tudi z rejo domačih živali, kot so govedo, ovce, koze in svinje. Spremljali so jih psi. Pomembni gospodarski dejavnosti sta bili tudi lov in ribolov. V skoraj nedotaknjeni pokrajini so nabirali gozdne sadeže. Izdelovali so keramične posode. Najdbe predmetov iz bakra in metalurških pripomočkov pa dokazujejo, da so se vsaj od 4. tisočletja pr. Kr. dalje ukvarjali tudi z metalurgijo bakra. Za plovbo po jezeru so uporabljali drevake, ki so jih dolbli iz ogromnih hrastovih debel. V drugi polovici 4. tisočletja pa so za poti zunaj Ljubljanskega barja uporabljali tudi vozove. Skratka, bili so zelo iznajdljivi in so se znali dobro prilagoditi na okolje, v katerem so živeli.

    Description: The Auerspergs [Turjaški] are among the rare noble families in the Slovenian territory with systematically preserved archives that date back to the Middle Ages. Most archival materials of the family, which was largely embedded in the framework of the Province of Carniola until the end of the 15th century, are presently kept in two private family archives: the Turjak Comital Fideicomiss Archives (Gräflich Auersperg'sches Fideikommisarchiv), first kept in the Turjak Castle until 1942 and now in the Carinthian Provincial Archives in Klagenfurt, and the Turjak Ducal Archives (Fürstlich Auersperg'sches Archiv), which were first moved to the Turjak Palace in Ljubljana and the Lower Austrian Lösensteinleiten Castle and finally ended up in the Viennese Haus-, Hof-, und Staatsarchiv.Turjaška knjiga listin 1 (1218–1400) [Turjak Book of Charters I (1218–1400)] contains 277 charters from the private archives of the Carniolan comital and ducal lines of the Auerspergs [Turjaški]. Published in their entirety, the charters are equipped with Slovenian regests and followed in the end by a comprehensive index of names and pictures of seals from the charters. With the publication of the Turjak charters, Slovenian historiography has gained an indispensable aid for the research of Slovenian medieval and modern history.
    Description: V Turjaški knjigi listin I (1218–1400) je objavljeno 277 listin iz zasebnih arhivov kranjske grofovske in knežje linije Turjaških (Auerspergov), ki so jih v sklopu grajskega arhiva do leta 1942 hranili na gradu Turjak, danes pa so shranjene izven slovenskega ozemlja. Listine so objavljene v celoti, opremljene so s slovenskimi regesti, ob koncu pa sledijo še obsežno imensko kazalo in slike pečatov z listin. Pripravljena izdaja turjaških listin sega do leta 1400 in je prvi del serije, v kateri bodo v končni fazi objavljene vse, tudi novoveške turjaške listine. Slovensko zgodovinopisje bo z objavo turjaških listin pridobilo nepogrešljiv pripomoček za raziskovanje slovenske srednjeveške in novoveške zgodovine.

    Spreminjanje prometne rabe zemljišč v Sloveniji (2022)

    Description: It is clear that different types of the population's mobility have an impact on the transportation land use and thereby shape our living environment. According to the land cadastre data Slovenia has 465 km2 of transportation land use, which represents more than 2 % of the country's surface. The transportation land use areas are expanding in the last decade, although slower than other built-up areas. The transportation land use analysis on the state level indicates those areas of Slovenia, where the level of transportation land use has risen the most. These are areas with a new transportation infrastructure (roads, railroads), tourist and some other (sub)urbanized areas. The results have shown that local political and planning decision-making represents an important factor in the increase of the transportation land use in Slovene towns.
    Description: Načini mobilnosti prebivalstva vplivajo na prometno rabo zemljišč in s tem oblikujejo prostor, v katerem živimo. Po podatkih zemljiškega katastra je v Sloveniji 465 km2 prometne rabe, kar predstavlja več kot polovico vseh pozidanih površin oziroma dobra 2 % celotne površine Slovenije. Prometna raba v zadnjem desetletju narašča, a počasneje kot ostala pozidana raba, kar morda nakazuje na večjo racionalnost poselitve v Sloveniji. Analiza prometne rabe na državni ravni kaže na območja, ki najbolj pridobivajo prometno rabo. To so območja z novo prometno infrastrukturo (ceste, železnice), pa tudi turistična ter nekatera (sub)urbanizirana območja. Rezultati kažejo, da so lokalne politične in načrtovalske odločitve zelo pomemben dejavnik rasti prometne rabe v slovenskih mestih.

Stanje in spremembe spremlja pod vidikom cerkvenih predpisov oz. smernic tridentinskega koncila na področju sakralne umetnosti in pod vidikom umetnostne politike posameznih ljubljanskih škofov 17. stoletja.     Description: The publication “Monitoring and Evaluation of Regional Policy in Slovenia” was prepared on the basis of the Assessment of Instruments and Mechanisms of Regional Policy project intended for designing the systems for the mid-term and final evaluation of Slovenia’s regional policy. The project has prepared the basis for monitoring and evaluating the regional policy: we treated the monitoring of the regional policy as an important element in the overall development process because it enables constant supervision of the implementation of the policy and the evaluation of the regional policy as a constant interactive process that enables deliberate planning of activities and their adaptation to changing conditions. We focused on the characteristics of monitoring and evaluation in Slovenia’s regional policy and prepared evaluation models that Slovenia’s regional policy should follow in the future. Designing the models we drew from the existing Slovenian and European formal-legal frameworks for establishing monitoring and evaluation system in the 2007–2013 financial perspective.
    Description: Knjiga želi predstaviti odprta vprašanja spremljanja in vrednotenja slovenske regionalne politike. V njej sta avtorja pripravila izhodišča spremljanja in vrednotenja, pri čemer sta spremljanje obravnavala kot pomemben element v celotnem razvojnem procesu, saj omogoča nenehen nadzor izvajanja, vrednotenje pa kot stalen interaktiven proces, ki omogoča premišljeno načrtovanje aktivnosti in njihovo prilagajanje spreminjajočim se razmeram. Osredotočila sta se na značilnosti spremljanja in vrednotenja v slovenski regionalni politiki ter pripravila modele vrednotenja, ki naj bi jih slovenska regionalna politika upoštevala v bodoče. Pri oblikovanju modelov sta izhajala iz obstoječih slovenskih in evropskih formalno-pravnih okvirjev za vzpostavitev sistemov spremljanja in vrednotenja v finančni perspektivi 2007–2013.

    Description: The creation of the Illyrian Provinces is considered to be one of the most important events in Slovenian history, not only by demonstrating that the Habsburg rule was not eternal and untouchable, but also by bringing about global changes in ideational, economic and social areas. The Illyrian Provinces were an important ideational and political factor in the Slovenian social and political development. Given the altered political situation in Europe and especially in view of the establishment of the independent Slovenian state, the renewed discussion on the Illyrian Provinces bears multiple new implications. On the one hand, it spreads knowledge about international developments on Slovenian soil, while on the other, scientifically more pertinent, it presents not only an analysis of hitherto research but also brings into Slovenian historiography new findings based on new materials and new methodological approaches.
    Description: Nastanek Ilirskih provinc velja za enega pomembnih dogodkov v slovenski zgodovini, ki ni samo dokazal, da je oblast Habsburžanov večna in nedotakljiva, ampak je prinesel tudi globalne spremembe na idejnem, gospodarskem in socialnem področju. Ilirske province so bile pomembno idejno in politično gibalo slovenskega družbenopolitičnega razvoja. Glede na spremenjene politične razmere v Evropi, zlasti pa spričo nastanka samostojne slovenske države, ima prenovljena obravnava Ilirskih provinc številne nove implikacije. Na eni strani širi vedenje o mednarodnih dogodkih na slovenskih tleh, na drugi in strokovno pomembnejši pa predstavlja analizo dosedanjih raziskav in vnos novih spoznanj, temelječih na novem gradivu in novih metodoloških pristopih, v slovenski zgodovinopisni prostor.

Predstavljena so izhodišča za oblikovanje modela, sam model pa predstavimo z vidika vsebin, potrebnih strokovnih podlag, strukture strateških izhodišč, procesnih vidikov načrtovanja in povezovanja, ključnih deležnikov, ter potrebnih financ in tveganj. Izdelali smo tudi priporočila za uveljavitev predlaganega modela v praksi. Ob tako zastavljenemu modelu in njegovem doslednem izvajanju v praksi se bo izboljšalo načrtovanje na regionalni ravni, pri čemer bo to upoštevalo gospodarski, socialni in prostorski vidik. S tem bosta zagotovljena trajnosten razvoj in ohranjanje prostorskih potencialov.

    Description: The monograph (Between Self-Fulfillment and Social Expectations: The Attitude of the University-Educated Towards Fertility) considers a wider social background of reproductive decisions in university-educated people stemming from the evidence about the lowest birth rates among the university-educated population. This is a sociological study despite the examination of two established approaches in studying the relationship between education and fertility within the economic theories of fertility behaviour. The monograph considers some major results of sociological, anthropological and other qualitative studies which have importantly upgraded conclusions of extensive demographic surveys on this relationship.

    Description: The text-critical edition Turjaška knjiga listin II [Turjak Book of Charters II], containing 436 published documents from the 15th century, completes the medieval corpus of charters from the private archives of the Carniolan comital and ducal lines of the Auerspergs. Published in their entirety, the charters are equipped with Slovenian regests and followed in the end by a comprehensive index of names and pictures of seals from the charters.The Auerspergs [Turjaški] are among the rare noble families in the Slovenian territory with systematically preserved archives that date back to the Middle Ages. Most archival materials of the family, which was largely embedded in the framework of the Province of Carniola until the end of the 15th century, are presently kept in two private family archives: the Turjak Comital Fideicomiss Archives (Gräflich Auersperg'sches Fideikommisarchiv), first kept in the Turjak Castle until 1942 and now in the Carinthian Provincial Archives in Klagenfurt, and the Turjak Ducal Archives (Fürstlich Auersperg'sches Archiv), which were first moved to the Turjak Palace in Ljubljana and the Lower Austrian Lösensteinleiten Castle and finally ended up in the Viennese Haus-, Hof-, und Staatsarchiv.

    Description: The monograph deals with the musical practice of bell chiming, which is part of folk music tradition in Slovenia, as well as in some other European countries. Bell chiming is the rhythmic chiming of church bells, which is nowadays a fairly popular musical practice among the older and younger generations alike. The book is based on modern research and, where appropriate, comparatively approaches the material from a historical and geographical point of view. Apart from its musical analyses, which present structural and formational elements of bell-chiming tunes in detail, the book also discusses sociological questions, such as the role of bell chiming in the clerical and also in the secular context, the manner of musical transfer, the performativity of musical practice and the roles of the sexes in bell chiming. Bell chiming is placed within the broader context of European chiming. The detailed discussion of bell chiming in both Germany and Croatia refutes the old myth of bell chiming as a Slovenian national speciality.
    Description: Knjiga obravnava glasbeno prakso pritrkavanja, ki je del ljudske glasbene tradicije v Sloveniji in nekaterih evropskih državah. Gre za ritmično izvajanje na cerkvene zvonove, ki je danes izredno razširjena glasbena praksa tako med starejšimi kot mlajšimi generacijami. Knjiga je zasnovana na sodobnih raziskavah in je na primernih mestih komparativno obravnavana z zgodovinskega in geografskega stališča. Poleg glasbenoanalitičnega dela, v katerem so podrobno predstavljeni strukturni in oblikovni elementi pritrkovalskih viž, knjiga obravnava sociološka vprašanja kot so: vloga pritrkavanja v cerkvenem in posvetnem kontekstu, načini glasbenega prenosa, performativnost glasbene prakse in vloga spola pri pritrkavanju. Pritrkavanje je umeščeno v širši kontekst evropske igre na zvonove, s podrobnejšo obravnavo pritrkavanja v Nemčiji in na Hrvaškem pa je ovržen v Sloveniji že zelo dobro »zasidran« mit o pritrkavanju kot slovenski nacionalni posebnosti.

    Dejavniki rodnostnega obnašanja v Sloveniji (2022)

    Description: The present research considers factors of fertility behaviour in Slovenia. The analysis of the whole territory of Slovenia is complemented with the empirical research including a fieldwork in three sample regions, all of it being rounded off with the synthesis in a form of conclusions and mutual comparisons. Sample regions (Prekmurje, Zasavje in območje upravne enote Domžale) represent three main types of regional-geographic structure. The research temporally coincides with the period of second demographic transition in Slovenia commencing after 1980. The emphasis was put on recent development of fertility in Slovenia and sample regions. That was also a starting point of most comparisons evaluating the role of various factors in shaping fertility behaviour as well as possibilities of geographical approach to fertility research. In this sense the influence of geographical factors of fertility was of particular interest.
    Description: V Sloveniji se že več kot dve desetletji rodi premalo otrok, da bi nadomestili generacije v odhajanju. Zavedanje, da prenizka rodnost lahko pripelje do neslutenih razsežnosti družbenih konfliktov, je napeljalo avtorja, da se je lotil podrobne proučitve mehanizmov in ozadij oblikovanja rodnostnega obnašanja. Avtor je analizo utemeljil na treh vzorčnih območjih (Prekmurje, Zasavje in območje Upravne enote Domžale), ki predstavljajo tri glavne tipe regionalnogeografske strukture Slovenije. To je bilo tudi izhodišče večine primerjav za ugotavljanje vloge različnih dejavnikov pri oblikovanju rodnostnega obnašanja in možnosti geografskega pristopa pri preučevanju rodnostne problematike. Knjiga je prispevek k poznavanju vrste dejavnikov in njihove pestre vloge v součinkovanju in spreminjanju rodnostnega obnašanja, je pa tudi podlaga za konkretne korake pri oblikovanju prebivalstvene politike.

    Description: The main goal of the entire project was so to investigate problems of daily commuting of workers, pupils and students, especially from the modal split point of view. The project is structured in two parts.The first part of the book is an extensive analysis of modal split by different relations (routes) and groups of commuters (pupils, secondary school pupils, students and workers). We tried to establish the areas in Slovenia where the usage of public transport is the weakest and to provide credible causes of that. The data of modal split was compared with the supply of public transport and with this we established that there is a significant link between the high public transportation usage and the high quality and competitiveness offer of public transportation vis-à-vis personal transportation.The next chapter was dedicated to particular pilot areas where the supply of public transport was greatly improved (Dol pri Ljubljani, Ankaran, Idrija, Nova Gorica). With the method of field interviewing and passenger counting we found out that the greatly improved offer of public transport does not necessarily cause a greater demand for public transport and thus the shift towards a more sustainable mobility.The synthesis of the book is in ten recommendations of possible transport policy measures for the purpose of achieving more sustainable mobility patterns with workers and students.
    Description: Knjiga prikazuje problematiko dnevnih potovanj šolarjev in delavcev v Sloveniji, zlasti z vidika izbire prometnega sredstva. Prvi del knjige analizira način prevoza na posameznih relacijah in po posameznih skupinah dnevnih vozačev (osnovnošolci, srednješolci, študenti in delovno aktivni). Ugotavljali smo, na katerih območjih in na katerih relacijah v Sloveniji je uporaba javnega potniškega prometa najšibkejša in skušali podati razloge za to. V drugem delu publikacije so obravnavani primeri dobre prakse na nekaterih območjih, kjer je prišlo do precejšnjega izboljšanja ponudbe javnega potniškega prometa (Dol pri Ljubljani, Ankaran, Idrija, Nova Gorica). Sintezna spoznanja so podana kot priporočila za pripravo možnih ukrepov spodbujanja bolj trajnostnih oblik prevoza na delo in šolo.

    Description: Monografija odkriva naravne in družbene značilnosti porečja Mirne, prebivalstveno ogrožene srednjedolenjske pokrajine. Poudarja njegovo notranjo raznolikost, ki izhaja iz lege na stičišču alpskega, dinarskega in panonskega sveta. Tu se prepletajo različni tipi reliefa, podnebja, vodnega odtoka, prsti in rastlinstva, pa tudi naselij in poselitve, gospodarstva in infrastrukture. Ugotovljene so bistvene razlike med legami v kotlinskem dnu, v gričevju, hribovju in na planotah. Zaradi heterogenosti je izpeljana podrobnejša členitev na 24 mikroregij~sledita njihova medsebojna primerjava in izpostavitev poglavitnih problemov. Pomembni sta kvantifikacija podatkov in razlaga povezav med geoekološkimi in družbenimi sestavinami pokrajine. Monografija na podlagi povsem nove metodologije, matematične in statistične analize sedanje rabe tal, išče razvojne možnosti v kmetijstvu in poselitvi ter predlaga bolj smiselno zemljiško rabo.

    Description: The monograph presents the results of two-year excavations (1982 and 1983) on the late-antique fortified hilltop settlement Korinjski hrib above Veliki Korini in Suha Krajina, where the remains of five defence towers and an early Christian church were explored. The settlement was initially recognized as a military post and as such represented an exception in the Eastern Alpine area. Such a definition raised some doubts and dilemmas. These dilemmas are presented - in addition to geographical outline and research history - in the Introduction.The following set presents - in text and with abundant graphic material – field reports of excavations of towers, the church, and a small cemetery.All groups of finds (non-pottery, pottery and coins) and anthropological and archaeological studies are also presented.An extensive chapter is devoted to the interpretation of architectural remains (towers, church, the fort as a whole).The conclusion also discusses the prehistoric settlement, and the results of structural survey of the ruins of church of St George just below the fort.
    Description: V monografiji so predstavljeni rezultati dveletnih izkopavanj (1982 in 1983) na utrjeni poznoantični višinski naselbini Korinjski hrib nad Velikim Korinjem v Suhi Krajini, kjer so bili raziskani ostanki petih obrambnih stolpov in zgodnjekrščanske cerkve. Naselbina je bila že v začetku prepoznana kot vojaška postojanka in je kot taka predstavljala izjemo v vzhodnoalpskem prostoru. Taka opredelitev je zato vzbudila tudi nekatere dvome o njeni pravilnosti. Omenjene dileme so − poleg geografskega orisa in zgodovine raziskav − predstavljene v uvodnem delu. Sledi obsežen sklop, ki v tekstu in z bogatim slikovnim gradivom predstavi terenske izvide izkopavanj stolpov, cerkve in pripadajočega manjšega grobišča.Obsežno poglavje je posvečeno interpretaciji arhitekturnih ostankov (stolpi, cerkev, utrdba kot celota). V zakjučku je obravnavana še prazgodovinska poselitev ter rezultati strukturnega pregleda danes porušene cerkvice sv. Jurija tik pod utrdbo.

Las misiones de pastoral aborigen se inscribieron en la renovación conciliar y estuvieron tensionadas entre preceptos desarrollistas e ideologías de izquierda propias de la época. Este libro analiza un caso particular de este sujeto colectivo: la red social gestada hacia finales de la década del sesenta y principios de los años setenta en la zona que cubre el centro y el oeste de la provincia de Formosa y el oeste de la provincia del Chaco (Argentina).

    Description: The monograph presents different names of Piran Bay (Slo. Piranski zaliv) over time. Despite the leading onomastic topic, the publication is designed as a regional-geographic review of Piran Bay and its hinterland, where all the main physical- and socio-geographical characteristics are presented. This book describes the basic hydro-geographic characteristics of Piran Bay as a part of Gulf of Trieste and the Adriatic Sea. The monograph talks about the historical development, salt making in Sečovlje salt pans and the circumstances that led to the now more than two decades-long border dispute between Slovenia and Croatia. A significant chapter is dedicated to the presentation of the different naming of the Bay of Piran through time. According to the chronological order, 104 different cartographic sources present the name changes of the Piran Bay through time and when a certain specific geographic name appeared. Based on media analysis, one of the chapters describes the relation between the names Savudrijska vala or Savudrijski zaljev (Savudrija Bay) and Piranski zaliv or Piranski zaljev (Piran Bay).
    Description: Monografija predstavlja različna poimenovanja Piranskega zaliva skozi čas. Kljub vodilni imenoslovni tematiki je publikacija zasnovana tudi kot regionalnogeografski prikaz Piranskega zaliva in njegovega zaledja, pri čemer so predstavljene tako poglavitne naravnogeografske kot družbenogeografske značilnosti. Posebej so izpostavljene temeljne hidrogeografske poteze Piranskega zaliva kot dela Tržaškega zaliva in Jadranskega morja. Precejšen poudarek je namenjen zgodovinskemu razvoju, pri čemer je izpostavljeno solinarstvo s Sečoveljskimi solinami. Podrobneje so osvetljene tudi okoliščine, ki so privedle do zdaj že več kot dve desetletji trajajočega mejnega spora med Slovenijo in Hrvaško. Osrednje poglavje obravnava poimenovanja območja Piranskega zaliva skozi čas. V njem so kronološko razvrščeni 104 različni kartografski viri, ki omogočajo razbrati, kako se je poimenovanje zaliva spreminjalo skozi čas in kdaj se je določeno ime pojavilo oziroma, kdaj je prevladovalo. Na podlagi medijske analize je prikazana raba novodobnih hrvaških imen Savudrijska vala/Savudrijski zaljev na eni strani in starega slovenskega imena Piranski zaliv oziroma starega hrvaškega Piranski zaljev na drugi.

    Description: Global scientific literature widely deals with analysis of regional innovative systems and their contribution to economic growth. Modern theories and empirical researches indicate strong correlation between the technical progress, creative human resources, toleration and capital investments. New investments are basic but not sufficient condition for balancing the developmental stimulation. Capital, linked with investment activities, natural (material) resources and human resources (work, knowledge, information) are main driving forces of the economic progress. New forms of investments today are strongly connected with population educational structure and knowledge, therefore investments do not occur everywhere, simultaneously and equally.
    Description: Knjiga govori o povezanosti regionalnih inovacijskih sistemov in njihovega prispevka h gospodarski rasti na nekem področju. V sodobnih teorijah in empiričnih raziskavah lahko najdemo jasne dokaze o tesni medsebojni povezanosti tehnološkega napredka, ustvarjalnih človeških virov, tolerantnosti in investiranja kapitala, pri čemer so investicije zgolj odsev ter temeljni, ne pa tudi zadostni pogoj k uravnavanju razvojnih spodbud. Kapital, povezan z investicijskimi aktivnostmi, je skupaj z naravnimi (surovine) in človeškimi (delo, znanje in informacije) viri eden izmed ključnih dejavnikov gospodarskega napredka. Geografska analiza ustvarjalnosti in naložb kot pomembnih razvojnih dejavnikov je pokazala, da je njuna razporeditev skoraj identična.

    Description: Kučar near Podzemelj represents one of the most significant archaeological sites not only in Slovenia but also in the wider southeastern alpine region. It is an extensive complex composed of an Iron Age and Late Roman settlement upon the hill Kučar, as well as numerous necropoli that are distributed throughout the villages of Podzemelj, Zemelj, Škrilje and Grm. The site is well-known all over the world for its elaborate material finds originating from the cemeteries there. The book presents the results from rescue excavations that were carried out between the years 1975 and 1979 on the northern top of Kučar by the Institute for Archaeology. Substantial remains of a settlement dating to the Early and Late Iron Ages (8th –1st centuries BC) were excavated, as well as the even more surprising discovery of an Early Christian building complex (5th century AD) incorporating two churches, a baptistery and a large building with an enclosing wall that was reinforced with two towers. This publication concerning the settlement on Kučar near Podzemelj is the third monograph regarding this site. The first two publications presented the material finds from the Iron Age necropolis, preserved at the National Museum in Ljubljana and at the Museum of Natural History in Vienna. This third publication includes a contribution by Metka Culiberg and Alojz Šercelj on the investigations of organic remains from Kučar.
    Description: Kučar pri Podzemlju je eno najpomembnejših arheoloških najdišč ne le v Sloveniji ampak tudi na širšem jugovzhodnoalpskem prostoru. Gre za obsežen kompleks, v katerega sodi železnodobno in poznoantično naselje na hribu Kučarju in številne nekropole, ki so raztresene okoli vasi Podzemelj, Zemelj, Škrilje in Grm. V svetu je postal znan predvsem zaradi bogatih najdb iz tamkajšnjih grobišč. V knjigi so predstavljeni rezultati zaščitnih raziskovanj, ki jih je med leti 1975 in 1979 na severnem vrhu Kučarja opravil Inštitut za arheologijo. Takrat so bili namreč izkopani bogati ostanki naselja iz starejše in mlajše železne dobe (8.–1. stoletje pred n. št.), še večje presenečenje pa je bilo odkritje zgodnjekrščanskega stavbnega kompleksa (5. stoletje po n. št.) z dvema cerkvama, baptisterijem, veliko stavbo in obzidjem, ki je bilo ojačano z dvema stolpoma.
