    Description: This history of Ladin literature provides for the first time a comprehensive overview of 230 Dolomite-Ladin authors from the beginnings of Ladin literature (17th century) up to contemporary Ladin writing (2012). Each article on the authors contains a detailed biography, a complete catalog of works and a review of the oeuvre based on a representative sample of original texts, also translated into German. This new standard reference of Rhaeto-Romance Studies is completed by introductory chapters on the beginnings and the development of Ladin literature, its genres and themes, the history of research, the presence of Ladin literature in the Ladin-speaking media, the presence of Ladinia in German and Italian literature as well as a name index with as many as 3,000 entries.
    Description: Diese Geschichte der ladinischen Literatur liefert erstmals einen umfassenden Überblick über 230 dolomitenladinische Autoren von den Anfängen des ladinischen Schrifttums (17. Jh.) bis zum zeitgenössischen Literaturschaffen (2012). Die Artikel zu den einzelnen Autoren enthalten jeweils eine ausführliche Biografie, ein vollständiges Werkverzeichnis und eine Besprechung des OEuvres anhand einer möglichst repräsentativen Auswahl von Originaltexten mit deutscher Übersetzung. Vervollständigt wird dieses neue Standardwerk der Rätoromanistik durch die einleitenden Kapitel zu den Anfängen und der Entwicklung der ladinischen Literatur, zu ihren Gattungen und Themen, zur Forschungsgeschichte, zum Vorkommen der ladinischen Literatur in den ladinischsprachigen Medien, zur Präsenz Ladiniens in der deutschen und italienischen Literatur sowie durch den abschließenden Namensindex mit knapp 3.000 Einträgen.

    Description: The first volume of the series “Scripta Ladina Brixinensia” edited by Paul Videsott is dedicated to the Ladin language in the educational system – compulsory schools, secondary schools, universities/colleges – in the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli as well as in the Canton of Grisons. The focus is on the Ladin department, a unique feature of the Free University of Bolzano, aiming at the documentation, description and the development of the Ladin language. The final contribution presents the volume Sprachen im Vergleich: Deutsch-Ladinisch-Italienisch which is designed as a teaching aid for multilingual language teaching in Ladin schools.
    Description: Der erste Band der Reihe "Scripta Ladina Brixinensia" unter der Herausgeberschaft von Paul Videsott widmet sich der Präsenz des Ladinischen im Bildungssystem – Pflichtschulen, Oberschulen, Universitäten/Hochschulen – der Länder Trentino-Südtirol, Graubünden und Friaul. Im Zentrum steht die Ladinische Abteilung, die ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal der Freien Universität Bozen darstellt mit dem Ziel der Dokumentation, der Deskription und des Ausbaus des Ladinischen. Der abschließende Beitrag stellt einen Unterrichtsbehelf für den mehrsprachigen Unterricht im Bereich Sprachen vor, die dreisprachige Grammatik: "Sprachen im Vergleich: Deutsch-Ladinisch-Italienisch".
