Through an innovative interdisciplinary study of the politics of gendered memory and trauma in historical context, with numerous primary sources for analysis including diaries, interviews, letters and oral testimonies, this book uncovers the life-or-death struggles of Japanese survivors in pursuit of public recognition as the victims of state violence against women. It is set within a gender history of modern Japan, supplemented by feminist activist methodology premised upon political agency that seeks social justice. The author’s analysis draws upon three key concepts: trauma, coherence of the self, and integrity. Focusing upon the role of gender and trauma as the nexus between memory construction and identity formation in modern Japan, the author reveals these women’s relentless quest for their recovery and creation of new identities. This book provides a better understanding of the victims of sexual violence and encourages readers to listen to the voice of trauma, as well as making a significant contribution to the existing research on the ongoing history of sexual violence against women in Japan, the rest of Asia and beyond. It will be of interest to scholars, researchers, activists and all who are interested in the issue of women’s human rights.     Description: Acta Slavica Estonica is an international series of publications on current issues of Russian and other Slavic languages, literatures and cultures. The first part of the book contains chapters about the general history of school textbooks for reading and the story of the heritage of two authors (Vyazemsky and Fet) in them. The second part of the book presents chapters on various Russian poets (Batyushkov, Zhukovsky, Pushkin, Koltsov, Tyutchev, Maikov) whose poems found a firm place in the reading materials for schools. The chapters of the monograph give an idea of different aspects of the history of these texts and their reception. The monograph has two supplements. In the first there is a list of 108 textbooks and books of reading which are all included in the unique data base accessible in the Internet (www.ruthenia.ru/canon). The second supplement offers a list of the most popular authors and their texts included in the textbooks of the 19th century.

Students must learn to write in new genres, and their teachers not only need to write but also help others develop their own writing. Even though writing is often essential for learning a discipline and developing a professional identity, these aspects are often overlooked in academic settings. A surprising number of us struggle with writing, and often do so alone. Writing touches upon deeply personal processes concerning who we are in the eyes of others and how we view ourselves. This book elucidates the creative and subjective sides of professional and academic writing, which are in fact quite similar to those of literary writing. In the interview material, students and researchers share their experiences of the difficulties and the joys of writing, as well as personal decisions they have made in the course of becoming creative writers in their fields. In the discussion, a conceptual repertoire is developed from the philosophy of education, theories of identity development and recognition, to transcend the common belief that writing is something we either can or cannot master.     Description: Paradoxality as a Specific Feature of Dostoevsky’s Literary Works. Techniques, Stylistics, Mechanisms of Action. All works by Dostoevsky reveal the presence of paradox. These paradoxes act according to mechanisms that depend either on the fictional (polyphonic) or nonfictional (monologic) text “dominant.” Taking as a starting point (a) the arguments of G.S. Morson, according to whom paradoxes “seem to carry the quintessence of ‘Dostoevskyism’, particularly of his brand of humor,” (b) the analysis of Dostoevsky’s paradoxical humor; and (c) the three main categories of paradoxes (“empty or rhetorical”, “negative”, “positive”), we argue that Dostoevsky applies a fourth type of paradox, one that affects neither the premise nor the ending of the paradoxical structure, but their intrinsic logical interconnection. This article analyses a repertoire of paradoxical techniques used by Dostoevsky, focusing on the destabilizing humoristic function they enact.

    Description: Humor and Irony as a Means of Combating Atheism in the Discourse of F.M. Dostoevsky . The question of the God’s existence troubled Dostoevsky throughout his life. He created a very convincing portrait of the atheist of his time. He did not consider unbelievers immoral, but only “infected with recklessness”, and when speaking of his atheist acquaintances, often admitted that they were good people. Dostoevsky created the image of an atheist as an intelligent person, who is guided not by the heart, but by the mind and who often evokes sympathy for his questing, his thinking, and his suffering (like Versilov or Ivan Karamazov). If we carefully consider the “atheistic” characters of Dostoevsky, however, we will see that atheism is a phenomenon associated with something both bad and funny. Through humorous details, Dostoevsky imperceptibly creates an image of the “atheist” as a comical and frivolous person.

    Description: 〈P〉The purpose of th is study is to describe certain features of Tsvetaeva's intermediate world and to demonstrate its relation to several peculiarities of Tsvetaeva's poetics, specifically, her predilection for oxymoron and the ambiguous nature and behavior of her lyrical personae. Furthermore, these important structural elements are viewed as inherent in Tsvetaeva's dichotomous poetic vision. Two thematic cores, "love" and "poetry", are analyzed with particular attention given to the investigation of the nature of their opposition.     Description: “We laughed like from a tickle on the heart.” Dostoevsky’s Muddy Confession. When considering laughter in Dostoevsky, one immediately thinks of the long “tirade” in The Adolescent, which proposes a kind of physiology of laughter, and its unpredictable effects on the perception of those who witness it. Laughter and caustic humor color even the most intimate confessions and can serve to partially mask the difficult action of revealing oneself before others. Modernity itself is the era of self-exhibition, of a sort of widespread confession. And yet, the laughter of modernity has lost the essence of joy. Joy is a function of that almost impossible sincerity that unveils the essence of man. The grimace of the fool, who shamelessly denudes himself before others in confession, becomes a sign of the isolation of the modern self and the end of the utopia of sincerity pursued by Rousseau.

    Description: Fordommer sitter i språket og i måten vi snakker på. De kommer til uttrykk på forskjellige måter og kan brukes både som humor og hatefulle ytringer. Ofte bruker vi fordommer uten at vi engang er klar over det. Men hva er egentlig fordommer? Og hvem rammes av fordommene? Dette er relevante spørsmål i dagens skole. I Fagfornyelsen legges det vekt på at skolen «skal fremme demokratiske verdier og holdninger som motvekt mot fordommer og diskriminering». For å kunne jobbe aktivt med forebyggende arbeid i skolen er det derfor nødvendig å vite noe om hvordan og hvorfor fordommer oppstår, hvordan de brukes, og hvem som rammes. I Fordommer i skolen: Gruppekonstruksjoner, utenforskap og inkludering undersøker vi hvordan fordommer kommer til uttrykk blant elever, hvilke strategier lærere har for å håndtere fordomsfulle utsagn, og hvordan fordommer brukes og spilles ut i klasserommet. I boken analyseres også hvordan fordommer og ulike forståelser av fenomenet inngår som tema i opplæringsloven og i læreplanverket, og hvordan ulike minoritetsgrupper har blitt og fremdeles blir fremstilt i skolens læreverk. Et viktig formål med boken er å gi konkrete eksempler på utforskende undervisning og mulige undervisningsstrategier for å kunne forebygge og motvirke fordommer i skolen i dag. Boken er forskningsbasert og inneholder bidrag fra en rekke ulike fagfelt. Bidragene er relevante for lærerutdanning, lektorutdanning og PPU.     Description: On Features of Word Usage in Dostoevsky’s Poetic Dictionary in Connection with M.L. Uralskij and G. Mondry’s Dostoevsky and the Jews (St. Petersburg: Aletheia, 2021) . This article addresses the question of Dostoevsky’s alleged anti-Semitism with particular attention to Uralskij and Mondry’s book devoted to this topic, in which conclusions about the author’s chauvinism and xenophobia are based on his use of the word ‘Jew’ (zhid). For almost the entirety of the 19th century, however, such word usage was not a marker of anti-Semitism. Throughout his life, Dostoevsky communicated with many representatives of the Jewish people without differentitating them in any particular way from representatives of other nationalities. In the writer’s poetic dictionary, the word ‘Jew’ sometimes denotes a person who acquires unscrupulously, examples of which Dostoevsky found in all nationalities of the world, including the Russian.

What are considered acceptable grounds for claiming to be Sámi, and what criteria do people use when judging others as Sámi or non-Sámi? When is one ‘Sámi enough’ to qualify for the right to vote? These questions have a bearing on the very core of Sámi politics: who should be allowed to choose representatives on behalf of the Sámi people? Second, Sámi civil society. How do organizations that represent Sámi persons and Sámi interests relate to the Sámi Parliament? Third, voter turnout. How do we explain non-voting in a system where, unlike those for other elections in Norway, one must actively register in advance to be able to vote? And what about the fact that voters in municipalities with fewer than 30 registered voters must vote in advance? Do these circumstances depress voter turnout? Fourth, the party-political landscape. What differentiates supporters of the different parties? Are there clear differences that make it easier for voters to identify the distinctions between the parties? Finally, elections and voter information. Where do voters find information about this election? We look specifically at how parties and voters find each other in South Norway, the largest constituency in the country, and yet one in which Sámi parliamentary elections are rarely covered by the media. There is a broad consensus that civic engagement, which often involves participation in various forms of collective action, is a cornerstone of a well-functioning democracy. Civic engagement and participation in collective action have traditionally been linked to social movements and voluntary organizations. Collective action is, however, changing as a result of societal- level processes of change, such as digitalization, the emergence of social media, individualization and globalization. This book investigates how these social changes have affected the ways individuals participate in different forms of collective action. What consequences does digitalization have for civic engagement in Norway? Is the distinction between volunteering and political activism about being wiped out? Are new organizational forms arising as a result of digitalization and individualization? Has globalization led to new forms of transnational networks? And more generally, are the traditional forms of collective action, rooted in civil society organizations, replaced by a new form of ""connective action""?     Description: "How do you really become a skilled teacher? And what role should guidance play in the education of tomorrow's teachers? This theme is explored through a study of experienced practitioners' formalized counseling conversations with teacher students. The most important questions in the book are about how the practice teacher and teacher conduct conversations. Concretely, the question is: What is the content of the counseling interviews? How are the teacher students evaluated? How is the consequences of the counseling discussions understood? The guide being examined contains a step by step pedagogy. First, the teacher's student must learn to control, master and reflect on the social space both the classroom and the counseling conversation are. This is described as an overall moral and regulatory discourse. This discourse forms the basis for the teacher's next step - which is the actual teaching. The teacher's student must therefore master two discourses - one regulatory discourse and one teaching discourse - in order to become a skilled teacher. In addition, he or she must adapt to the regulatory discourse in the counseling conversation. The latter discourse represents in this book an initiation ritual for the teaching profession. This ritual gives the practice teacher control over the dedication, while limiting the room for maneuver in the counseling conversation. "

I tillegg må han eller hun tilpasse seg den regulerende diskursen i veiledningssamtalen. Den sistnevnte diskursen representerer i denne boka et innvielsesritual til læreryrket. Dette ritualet gir praksislæreren kontroll over innvielsen, samtidig som det begrenser handlingsrommet i veiledningssamtalen."

    Description: In Dostoevsky’s binary poetics, an opposition can be drawn between two fundamental stances – asceticism and incontinence. Ascetics adhere to an ethos of self-restraint in response to the desires of the flesh. Incontinents act spontaneously to gratify their desires. The current study draws an analogy between the behavior pattern of Dostoevsky’s self-denying intellectual heroes and that of exiled castrate (skoptsy) communities. Dostoevsky’s ascetics represent a cerebral mindset attracted to visions of social utopia; their intellectualizing detaches them from the life of the body and thus weirdly parallels the strictures of the skoptsy. An encounter between an ascetic and a prostitute serves as a central plot moment in works such as Crime and Punishment and Notes from Underground.

    Description: Society’s use and management of water relies on professional expertise spanning diverse fields: from biology and technology to economics and law. This book examines current issues related to regulating water through chapters summarizing various sets of regulation as well as chapters that take a scientific deep dive into selected themes. The diversity of professional expertise is also reflected in the law aspect. We explore such subjects as surface runoff, natural disasters, drinking water, groundwater, salmon, hydropower, and human rights, as well as general impact assessment requirements and duty of knowledge in environmental law administration. A key objective of the book has been to provide an interdisciplinary understanding of the legal circumstances associated with water, and in addition, deliberate the pros and cons of some of the current regulations. This book will be particularly useful for those who in various ways support and facilitate procedures within the public sector at both the national and municipal levels. It will also be useful for private sector actors seeking familiarity with legal questions that can arise in relation to public administration and other private actors. From a broader perspective, we hope the book can help to throw light on conflicts between different interests and groups within society that occur, for example, when introducing fees, special injunctions against private actors, and requirements for knowledge basis. This book project is the result of legal research conducted at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and is supplemented by national expertise in several areas. It has been edited by Steinar Taubøll, a professor at NMBU’s Department of Property and Law. Taubøll has a background in both law and the natural sciences, and extensive experience with interdisciplinary work.

Denne boken drøfter aktuelle temaer knyttet til rettslig regulering av vann, både i form av oversiktskapitler om ulike regelsett og gjennom vitenskapelige dypdykk i utvalgte temaer. Den faglige spennvidden gjenspeiler seg også innen det juridiske. I boken finner man stoff om overvannshåndtering, naturfare, drikkevann, grunnvann, villaks, kraftutbygging, menneskerettigheter, samt om generelle utredningskrav og kunnskapsplikter i miljørettsforvaltning. Et sentralt siktemål er å bygge opp tverrfaglig forståelse av gjeldende juridiske forhold knyttet til vann, og dessuten sette noen av dagens reguleringer under debatt. Boken retter seg særlig til de ressurspersonene som på ulike måter støtter saksbehandlingen i stat og kommune. Boken antas også å være nyttig for private aktører som vil gjøre seg mer kjent med rettsspørsmål som kan oppstå i forhold til forvaltningen og til andre private aktører. I et bredere perspektiv er det dessuten ønskelig at boken kan bidra til å belyse konflikter mellom ulike hensyn og grupper i samfunnet, for eksempel ved innføring av gebyrer, pålegg rettet mot private, innføring av tyngende vilkår og krav til kunnskap og faktagrunnlag.     Description: PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) er en internasjonal undersøkelse av 15-åringers kompetanser i noen sentrale fagområder – lesing, matematikk og naturfag. Naturfag er hovedområde i PISA 2015. Undersøkelsen gjennomføres hvert tredje år. I PISA 2015 er hele undersøkelsen for første gang gjennomført digitalt.     Description: The services for people with addiction and mental health problems and have received increasing attention, both in the public debate, among users and professionals and not least from political authorities. There is political agreement on the importance of prioritizing the field, when at the same time there is disagreement on whether the services will actually be better by present-day reforms. In National Policies and Local Challenges, the authors explore the organization of services for people with addiction and mental health illness, from initiatives to improve the services at the level of national government to implementing changes in local service provision by municipalities. We discuss one of the most challenging questions in the modern welfare state: How should services be organized so that both users and service providers experience them as coordinated and integrated? The authors address these issues by referring to key features of national policy and change processes that can be observed in a selection of municipalities. The book also refers to analyses of experiences with various measures and services related to work, housing and prison care and correctional services. The anthology is based on a research project that studies the coordination and integration of services for people with complex addiction and mental disorders. The book is based on political science and organizational theoretical perspectives, and aims to provide insight into the usefulness of such perspectives in the analysis of welfare state's challenges when complex needs are addressed.     Description: Tjenestene til personer med psykiske lidelser og ruslidelser har fått stadig større oppmerksomhet, både i den offentlige debatten, blant brukere og fagfolk og ikke minst fra politiske myndigheter. Det er stor politisk enighet om betydningen av å prioritere feltet, samtidig som det er uenighet om hvorvidt tjenestene faktisk blir bedre. I Statlig politikk og lokale utfordringer ser forfatterne på organisering av tjenestene til mennesker med samtidige ruslidelser og psykiske lidelser, fra de politiske føringene sentralt til kommunale tjenester lokalt. Spørsmålet som stilles er et av de mest utfordrende i den moderne velferdsstaten: Hvordan skal en organisere tiltak og tjenester slik at både brukere og tjenesteytere opplever dem som samordnet og integrerte? Forfatterne diskuterer dette gjennom å vise til sentrale trekk ved den nasjonale politikken, de endringsprosessene en kan observere i et utvalg kommuner og erfaringer med ulike tiltak og tjenester knyttet til arbeid, bolig og kriminalomsorg. Antologien har sitt utgangspunkt i et forskningsprosjekt som studerer samordning og integrering av tjenester til mennesker med sammensatte rus- og psykiske lidelser. Boka bygger på statsvitenskapelige og organisasjonsteoretiske perspektiver, og har som mål å gi innsikt i nytten av slike perspektiver i analysen av velferdsstatens utfordringer.     Description: Russian-language edition: One common explanation for the failure of democracy to take root in Russia more quickly and more thoroughly than it has points to inherited cultural values that predispose Russian citizens to favor an autocratic type of governance. Ellen Carnaghan takes aim at this cultural-determinist thesis in her study of Russian attitudes, based on intensive interviews with more than sixty citizens from all walks of life and a variety of political orientations. What she finds is that, rather than being influenced by an antidemocratic and anticapitalist ideology, these ordinary citizens view the economic and political system in Russia today very critically because it simply does not function well for them in meeting their everyday needs. They long for order not because they eschew democracy and free markets in any fundamental way, but because they experience them currently as chaotic and unpredictable, leading to constant frustration. As a result, there is reason to be optimistic about further progress in democratization: it depends on improving the functioning of existing institutions, not transforming deep-rooted cultural norms. In the Conclusion, Carnaghan applies her argument to elucidating the reasons why Russians have responded favorably to what Westerners see as moves in an antidemocratic direction by Vladimir Putin’s government.

Oppmerksomheten er særlig rettet mot norske forhold.     Description: "Studenten skal bli lærer presenterer den første norske studien av tilhørighet i høyere utdanning. Forståelse og utvikling av kunnskap er sentrale temaer, og studenters danning belyses, uten at danning blir eksplisitt diskutert i alle bidragene. Mange av forfatterne er opptatt av samspillet mellom episteme, techne og fronesis i forhold til den enkeltes vekst og profesjonelle kompetanseutvikling. Med lærerstudenter fra 1.–4. årskull som informanter favner artiklene bredt og gir ny kunnskap og nye teoretiske vinklinger. I antologien stilles det blant annet spørsmål ved dualismen som ofte påpekes mellom teoretisk og erfaringsbasert kunnskap. Kanskje er det heller sånn at kunnskap produseres sirkulært mellom forelesningssal og praksisfeltet? Videre fremgår det også at opplevelsen av sosial tilhørighet ser ut til å være en forutsetning for akademisk tilhørighet, og at medstudenter sammen med faglærere har stor betydning. Viewpoints, Outcomes and Experiences presents the results of a comprehensive evaluation of the new ordinance from three perspectives: the students’, the schools’, and their support networks’.     Description: Onomastics and Paradox: Dostoevsky and the Collapse of the Ontological Integrity of Character. Onomastics plays a key role in Dostoevsky’s poetics: the names of most of his characters are essential to their portraits, even though these names rarely signify unambiguously. Moreover, a number of his characters are nameless and a semantic tension arises from this absence: the impossibility of “branding” the hero with a name prevents us from identifying his or her features through verbal onomastic symbolism. The portrait of such characters necessarily remains somewhat murky. It is no coincidence that the “nameless heroes” are the most paradoxical and enigmatic characters of Dostoevsky’s creative world. By denying them names, Dostoevsky seeks to destroy the inner integrity of these heroes, their identity, in order that a living, independent, and contradictory personality emerges in them.

    Description: Like muligheter til god leseforståelse? 20 år med lesing i PISA presenterer forskning basert på PISA-undersøkelsen 2018. Hovedresultatene fra undersøkelsen ble presentert i en kortrapport i desember 2019, og denne antologien består av primær- og sekundæranalyser av norske resultater i lesing siden PISA 2000. Ulike tematiske felt innenfor leseforskningen har fått egne kapitler, som lesestrategier, kritisk lesing, lesevaner og å lese mellom linjene. Vi utdyper resultatene blant annet ved å sette dem i sammenheng med annen aktuell forskning og andre skoleundersøkelser, og vi ser lesing i PISA-undersøkelsen i lys av revisjonen av læreplanen, LK20. Kapitlene undersøker også om variasjon i elevenes lesing ser ut til å gjenspeile systematiske forskjeller mellom elevgrupper, og besvarer antologiens tittel Like muligheter til god leseforståelse?. Bokas midtdel har en didaktisk profil som vil komme lærere, lærerstudenter, skoleledere og andre til nytte.

    Description: 〈P〉n 1975 a group of Leningrad poets sought official permission to hold a memorial meeting commemorating the ninetieth anniversary of the birth of Nikolaj Stepanovič Gumilev (1886 -1921) the following year, as well as issuing a collection of their poetry. On April 16. 1976 the poet Oleg Oxapkin and the historian Vladimir Poreš initiated the first memorial meeting devoted to the founder of Acmeism. Since that time there have been three additional "unofficial conferences" held (1978, 1979 and 1980). At these yearly private meetings, literary historians, poets and poetry lovers converge and pay homage to Gumilev. The section containing material relating to Gumilev in this volume is significant and illuminating. 〈/P〉

    Description: The Paradox of Female Sexual Desire in Crime and Punishment: On the Question of the Female Breast . This article examines references to the female breast found in Dostoevsky’s novel Crime and Punishment to reveal the contradictory role of female sexuality in his literary world. Despite feminist inclinations and a personal familiarity with “emancipated love,” he had particular difficulty with issues of women’s sexual desire and female corporeality, associating them with danger. He actively suppressed the bodies and desire of physically attractive women in his work. In Crime and Punishment, for ex., both Sonia and Dunia attract male desire, but do not express their own. References to the female breast in his work reveal this deep ambivalence about the female body: now alluring, now menacing, now subject to torture, the breast can also be symbolically maternal or disease-ridden.

    Description: A Gentle Creature’s Paradox. The aim of this article is to analyze a smile as a mimetic, nonverbal facial expression. Although a smile most often displays joy and pleasure, it sometimes expresses emotions such as sadness, cruelty, anger, etc. This analysis aims to focus on the paradoxical “mistrustful, silent, and evil smile” of A Gentle Creature. Her smile marks the beginning of her life with the Pawnbroker and it is her companion until the end of her life. The paradox of smile illuminates other paradoxes such as that of communication (verbal/nonverbal, communication/its negation), of death (suicide and the icon, destruction/resurrection, silence/birth of words), of the Pawnbroker’s story (author-narrator, narrative/story, fantastic/realistic, contradictions in the story), and of the event (real event/event in the narrator’s mind).

    Description: About Slavonicisms in The Brothers Karamazov. This work draws attention to the function of Slavonicisms in The Brothers Karamazov. In the last dialogue between Kolja Krasotkin and Alesha Karamazov, Kolja’s lines about postmortality or immortality are stylistically limited to the framework of the middle-lower register of Russian and thus exclude any metaphysical component. Alesha’s response, in contrast, is constructed in a Slavonic idiolect that belongs simultaneously to the conventional and to the mythopoetic. Another case of this appeal to the Slavonic register may be found in the dispute between Ivan and the devil regarding the recognition or denial of the incarnation of evil in the world. Claiming incarnation, Satan tries to demonstrate the equivalence of demonic and human nature. The primary instrument deployed in this argument is a Slavonicism, claimed by Satan, but which does not belong to him.

    Description: TIMSS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) er en internasjonal komparativ undersøkelse som måler elevenes kompetanse i matematikk og naturfag. TIMSS gjennomføres både på barnetrinnet og på ungdomstrinnet. Gjennom spørreskjemaer til rektorer, lærere, elever og foresatte (bare på barnetrinnet) samles det inn informasjon om elevenes læringskontekst. Dette gjør det mulig å undersøke sammenhenger mellom bakgrunnsfaktorer og elevenes læringsutbytte. Denne boka inneholder analyser av data fra TIMSS 2015-undersø-kelsen. Norge deltok med elever fra 4., 5., 8. og 9. trinn. I analysene som presenteres i denne boka, belyses blant annet følgende: Er det fortsatt en positiv utvikling i norske elevers prestasjoner i realfag? Hvordan presterer norske elever i matematikk og naturfag sammenliknet med elever i de andre nordiske landene? Hvordan kan undervisningskvalitet måles, og hvordan er sammenhengen mellom lærernes undervisningskvalitet og elevenes læringsutbytte? Hva karakteriserer norske realfagslæreres kompetanse? Hvilke sammenhenger finnes mellom lærerkompetanse, undervisningskvalitet og elevenes læringsutbytte? Hvilken betydning har lekser og lærernes faglige kompetanse for likeverd i skolen? Hvilke aspekter ved skolemiljøet har betydning for elevenes læringsutbytte? Ole Kristian Bergem, Hege Kaarstein og Trude Nilsen ved ILS (Institutt for lærerutdanning og skoleforskning) ved Universitetet i Oslo er redaktører av boka.     Description: This book examines legal and state theoretical ideas on the relationship between religion and state, and its significance for the politics of religion in Norway in the 19th century. The main sources are Norwegian and Danish literature on legal and state theory, including literature that interprets the Constitution’s provisions on religion. The analysis shows that constitutional and state philosophical theories on religion and state had significant impact on the development of the politics of religion in Norway.

Sowohl in der Forschung als auch in der Lehre zeigten und zeigen sich dabei die Jubilare als Slavisten im besten Sinne des Wortes, haben sie in ihrer langjährigen Tätigkeit doch nicht nur verschiedene slavische Sprachen abgedeckt, sondern darüber hinaus in gleicher Weise die drei Säulen der Philologie, die Sprach-, Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft. An der Festschrift hat sich eine große Zahl von Freunden, ehemaligen SchülerInnen, MitarbeiterInnen und KollegInnen mit Beiträgen beteiligt, deren Bandbreite von einzelphilologischen, sprach- wie literaturwissenschaftlichen Aspekten der Slavistik bis hin zu übergreifenden, interdisziplinär ausgerichteten kultur- und geisteswissenschaftlichen Fragestellungen im gesamteuropäischen Kontext bestens geeignet ist, das vielschichtige Schaffen von Prof. em.     Description: Kan vi arbeide med metodar i skulen utan å trekkje inn innhald og mål? Kva kan digital teknologi gje av pedagogisk meirverdi? Kan tysk danningsteori framleis vere til hjelp til å forstå undervisning og læring? Denne boka handlar om det som skjer når danningsteori møter utfordringane med digital teknologi i skulen og særleg med bruken av mobile einingar (m-læring) i lærarutdanninga. Undervisningstema som er drøfta, er filosofi og etikk, engelsk litteratur og kunst og handverk. Sentrale perspektiv er henta frå den tyske teoretikaren Wolfgang Klafki (1927–2016). Klafkis kategoriale danningsteori blir kritisk drøfta i lys av dagens digitale utfordringar, og mottakinga av teorien hans i norsk pedagogikk og didaktikk blir òg vurdert. Forfattarane argumenterer for at Klafki framleis er aktuell. Eit sentralt poeng for Klafki var at danning er tosidig; ho har alltid både ei formal og ei materiell side. Vi kan ikkje «lære å lære» utan å lære noko. Han peika også på at det konkrete emnet har ei generell side, ein kategori, av større eller mindre danningsverdi. For å kunne velje læringsstoff og metode, må læraren og læreplanmakaren må ha ein fagleg idé om kva dette kan vere.

    Description: Dostoevsky’s Dialectic: The Name of the Father and the Saving Power of Childhood. The artistic experience of Dostoevsky’s novels combines two rather heterogeneous hermeneutic strategies – the analysis of the unconscious and of existential utopia. In the first case, Dostoevsky problematizes the completeness of the symbolic order of culture as such through the thematization of the figure and name of the Father. From the perspective of the second strategy, Dostoevsky creates his own utopia of a symbolic order, with the eternal substance of people’s life capable of infinite renewal in the child’s soul in the role of the great Other. His novels reveal what can be called the creative core of culture. The murder of Fyodor Karamazov is an archetypal event, a sacrifice of the Body of the Father for the sake of the NAME of the dead Father, it initiates a paradigmatic process in the Symbolic.

    Description: Deconstruction in Dostoevsky’s Novels: Ideas, Plans, Preparatory Materials, Main Text . This article examines the role of deconstruction in Dostoevsky’s novels as a technique for bringing the ideological and psychological components of images into collision. These images are imbued with complex paradoxical meaning, revealing anthropological and philosophical issues in the writer’s work. Crime and Punishment advances the theme of a need for crime in order to achieve the moral rebirth of the hero. Moving forward on this path, the novel dismantles both inner and outer limits in the space of the hero. In The Idiot, Dostoevsky links passionate and antagonistic motifs to the Christian idea, thereby deconstructing boththe entire ethical concept of Myškin and the narrative associated with it. In The Adolescent the main character is subjected to destructive motivational interventions.

    Description: This anthology presents research projects that examine the intersection between music, technology and education from a variety of perspectives. The contributors are from a range of educational programs within traditional pre-, primary and lower secondary school education, as well as music performance and technology educational programs. Data for the studies stems from primary and lower secondary school, as well as informal learning environments, in addition to the contributors’ respective education programs. The research projects examine a wide range of topics such as gamification of ukulele and song teaching, composition with iPads in the classroom, live looping as an approach to ensemble conducting, authentic music technology learning spaces, music-making in the “laptop-era”, sound, the notion of net-based presence, and challenges in higher electronic music education. As this anthology is the first publication in the MusPed:Research series, it also contains an introductory chapter about the series and the research network Musikkpedagogikk i utdanning (MiU). This anthology makes a distinct contribution to the research field of music technology in education and questions educational practices in the school and higher educational levels, the goals and content of music education, and our understanding of music and music creation in itself.
    Description: I denne antologien presenteres forskingsprosjekter som hvert på sin måte undersøker møtet mellom musikk, teknologi og utdanning. Forfatterne i antologien kommer fra ulike utdanningsprogrammer, der både tradisjonelle barnehagelærer- og grunnskolelærerutdanninger så vel som faglærer-, utøvende musikk- og musikkteknologiutdanninger er representert. Prosjektene henter datamateriale fra de respektive utdanningene, men også fra musikkfaget i grunnskolen samt fra mer uformelle læringsarenaer. Forskningsarbeidene i antologien undersøker blant annet spillifisering av ukulele- og sangundervisning, komposisjon med iPad i klasserommet, live looping i ensembleledelse, autentiske musikkteknologiske læringsrom, musikkskaping i «laptop-æraen», sound, opplevelsen av nettbasert nærvær og utfordringer i høyere musikkteknologisk utdanning. Som første utgivelse i skriftserien MusPed:Research inneholder antologien også et eget introduksjonskapittel som omhandler skriftserien og forskningsnettverket Musikkpedagogikk i utdanning (MiU). Antologien stiller spørsmål ved etablert didaktisk praksis i musikkfaget i grunnskole og høyere utdanning, ved musikkutdanningens mål og innhold samt ved selve forståelsen av musikk og musikkskaping som sådan, og er et bidrag til voksende skandinaviske og internasjonale forskningsfelt om musikkteknologi i utdanningskontekster.

    Description: “Both violin and contrabass”: The Figure of Paradox and the Poetics of Bewilderment in the Artistic Thinking of Pirandello and Dostoevsky. Pirandello and Dostoevsky are deeply linked at thematic, ideological and textual levels. In 1908, Pirandello published the treatise Humorism, in which he elaborated an original theory of humor and substantiated a worldview that is quite close to the type of artistic consciousness inherent in Dostoevsky’s work, and is genetically related to it. The poetics of paradox, in which every mental and sensual experience is tested by its “opposite”, encourages the reader to “hang” between two seemingly mutually exclusive principles while opening up the possibility of a new, more complex understanding of reality and of the Other. This article presents aspects of Pirandello’s theory of humor in a new light, revealing their potential for application to the analysis of Dostoevsky’s work.

    Description: "The premise of Elected Officials and Political Leaders is that every elected politician is a political leader. This anthology looks at political leadership in Norwegian local governments and explores how to understand this form of leadership. Passing resolutions is an important part of an elected official’s job, and public discourse can suggest that such work is itself the essence of political leadership. This is a central concern in the book, which argues that political leadership also consists of grasping and understanding issues, setting agendas, proposing solutions and mobilizing support for them. With this broad view of political leadership, the book is organized around four paradoxes associated with the political-administrative system in Norwegian municipal government: the conflict paradox, the administration paradox, the transparency paradox and the democracy paradox. The chapters describe and discuss these paradoxes, the tensions they are based on and how opposing interests can be balanced in a constructive way, both for the local public sector as a whole as well as the individual councils and councilors. The book provides examples of how elected leaders can strengthen their political leadership, not least through a systematic comparison with Danish municipal governments. Important points in each chapter are also emphasized in interviews with political and administrative leaders who share their experiences with the authors. The book concludes with a discussion of how political leadership can be further developed and strengthened, both through changes in the institutional framework for Norwegian local governments and through dialogue and reflection within the individual municipal councils."

Boken handler om politisk lederskap i norske kommuner, og den diskuterer hvordan vi kan forstå denne formen for lederskap. Å fatte beslutninger er en viktig del av folkevalgtes hverdag, og den offentlige debatten kan gi inntrykk av at dette er selve essensen i det politiske lederskapet. Boken problematiserer dette, og den argumenterer for at politisk lederskap også handler om å fange opp og forstå problemer, sette dagsorden, foreslå løsninger og skape oppslutning om disse.
