    Description: This volume covers the role and policy efficacy of fraud within the system of bankruptcy crimes, focusing on the factual circumstances of the several indictments relating to it according to their their historical evolution; the traditional attention given to the declaratory judgement is replaced by the conceptual division between 'bankruptcy', 'insolvency' and 'financial difficulties', thus also enhancing the impact of the other insolvency procedures. The critical review of the individual criminal figures is oriented towards finding the minimum amount of fraud of each individual type of fraudulent bankruptcy, as a subjective typicality correction for the deficiencies of the offence. The investigation, which has turned into a broader reflection on the psychological aspect, aims at setting the coordinates for a possible reform of the volume’s subject.

    Description: This book was born as a “work in in progress” and collects many of the public presentations of Giacomo Becattini’s book “La cosicenza dei luoghi. Il territorio come soggetto corale” (“The Conscience of Places. The territory as a choral subject”), published by Donzelli in 2015. The presentations inspired great methodological passion, concrete perspectives and also criticism. In fact, the text of Becattini has raised issues of great importance on the perspectives of local development, by projecting them on the very future of human societies in a period of crisis and global uncertainty. The richness, the plurality of accents and the depth of the debate that has developed ensure that the collection lives a “life of its own” even with respect to the book of origin. Becattini’s disappearance, which occurred just as the volume was being edited, leaves a huge void but stimulates even more the debate on this fresco, painted by several artists on the trace of his recent work.

    Description: The management consulting firm is commonly considered the archetype of the knowledge-intensive firm. However, the theme of knowledge creation through the implementation of the consultancy intervention is still a widely unexplored research field . This work aims at filling this gap by proposing a conceptual model whose aim is to clarify and trace the cognitive paths used as a means of expression by the potential of managerial knowledge creation of the management consultancy intervention. The proposed model represents originally applies the theories interpreting the dynamics of knowledge creation as knowledge conversion processes to the specific context of the consultancy relationship. It contributed to the understanding that, in advanced consultancy contexts, this potential consists in the possibility of generating new entrepreneurial knowledge which is not only explicit but also, and above all, silent (such as, for example, new experiential diagnostic skills and new abilities for the intuition of the solution to business problems).

    Description: How does the current regulatory change in academic work influence the emergence of innovative commercial behaviours among industrial engineers within public universities? In particular, an attempt was made to reconstruct the emergence of an entrepreneurial regulatory dimension as a social construction process involving the main investigators and research groups in third academic mission activities. An in-depth qualitative analysis is carried out based on semi-structured interviews with academic engineering personnel, against the background of a reconstruction of both the development of industrial engineering as an academic discipline, and a recognition of the main changes that have taken place in the Italian academic field in recent years.

    Description: La Grande Galleria dei duchi di Savoia, inaugurata da Carlo Emanuele I nel 1608, si configurava come un complesso dispositivo architettonico, simbolico ed encomiastico all’interno del quale erano raccolti e ordinati oggetti eterogenei secondo un modello di organizzazione totalizzante della conoscenza coeva. Le diverse prospettive di ricerca, nel corso degli anni, si sono occupate della Grande Galleria prendendone in esame gli elementi costitutivi, ora distribuiti nelle diverse tipologie di fonti documentarie ad essa riconducibili. Il volume presenta la complessa questione della Grande Galleria discutendo, attraverso una prospettiva interdisciplinare, gli esiti delle diverse linee di studio e di ricerca, e, in particolare, proponendo un processo di analisi che pone al centro il documento più rilevante: l’inventario redatto dal bibliotecario di corte Giulio Torrini, con l’aiuto del figlio Bartolomeo e di altri collaboratori, a partire dai primi mesi del 1659. Il libro propone dunque la successione delle circa 950 sequenze di segni correlati alle unità documentarie localizzate nella quarta guardarobba, cui erano affidate le opere e i volumi riconducibili all’ambito della Philosophia. Queste sequenze di segni sono state correlate ad altre sequenze di segni, desunte da strumenti bibliografici successivi, che insistono sugli stessi referenti, cioè i libri nella loro concreta materialità bibliografica. Il percorso di ricostruzione bibliografica proposto si snoda attraverso una precisa sequenza di passi procedurali che hanno consentito di identificare l’unità documentaria attraverso riscritture diverse, passando dal modello di rappresentazione originario ad altri, progressivamente più dettagliati e analitici.

    Description: The lagging behind of the Italian economy in the sphere of technologically advanced manufacture represents a significant factor in the debate on the risks of the country's decline. Nevertheless we know relatively little about the diffusion in Italy of companies specialising in information technology. The research presented in this book – the outcome of a national project – reveals how this sector is dominated by small businesses, concentrated in a number of urban areas (the cases studied are Pisa, Florence, Turin, Osimo and Castelfidardo). It emerges that the social networks linking the businessmen with University researchers are crucial to an understanding of the processes of innovation. But what is equally important is the capacity of the collective entities, both public and private, to provide the entire country with the services that are indispensable for the development of enterprise.
