Beschreibung: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

Beschreibung: The commitment of Italian universities to education in the field of legality and to research on the subject of mafias is the main focus of this investigation edited by Stefano D’Alfonso and Gaetano Manfredi. For the first time, data is shown about the overall framework of teaching and research activities dedicated to this topic, with twenty-nine scholars from different academic disciplines and several universities who come together to reflect on the current situation and on the commitment of universities in the fight against mafias, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses of the system. The reflections illustrated here bring to light the dynamic nature of the local and cultural context where universities operate as well as the type of interaction that these institutions maintain with the national and local context. At the same time, it seems clear that great expectations are held at various levels in terms of what universities could do, especially with regards to the demand for knowledge about the best ways to fight mafias. This research reveals that Italian universities possess a considerable capital of knowledge which represents a ‘hidden treasure’ to be valued and used with the aim of promoting widespread awareness of their role in the anti-mafia field. This book is the result of cooperation between many university professors and researchers, the Parliamentary anti-mafia Committee, the Conference of Italian University Rectors and former minister of University and Research Gaetano Manfredi, under the supervision and coordination of the interdisciplinary research laboratory on mafias and corruption of the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. This network of professionals and institutions enabled the construction of a significant database where teaching and research activities carried out by scholars from different universities can be identified, across about one hundred academic disciplines.

Beschreibung: L’impegno delle università italiane nella formazione alla legalità e nella ricerca sulle mafie è al centro di questa indagine curata da Gaetano Manfredi e Stefano D’Alfonso. Il lavoro, nato dal confronto tra diversi docenti e ricercatori universitari, la Commissione parlamentare antimafia, la Conferenza dei rettori delle università italiane e lo stesso Gaetano Manfredi, a suo tempo Ministro dell’Università e della Ricerca, con il coordinamento del Laboratorio interdisciplinare di ricerca su mafie e corruzione del Dipartimento di Scienze sociali dell’Università Federico II, ha portato alla costruzione di un prezioso database, che consente di individuare le attività formative e la produzione scientifica degli studiosi dei singoli atenei, in circa cento settori disciplinari diversi. Ventinove studiosi di diverse aree scientifiche e differenti atenei ragionano sullo stato dell’arte dell’impegno dell’università nella lotta alle mafie, mettendo in luce alcuni punti di forza e debolezza. Nelle riflessioni avanzate emerge l’effetto combinato di alcuni fattori principali. In particolare, da un lato la dinamicità del contesto territoriale e culturale su cui insistono gli atenei e le modalità di interazione con la sfera locale e nazionale. Allo stesso modo appare importante il ruolo delle aspettative che il contesto — a vari livelli — matura nei confronti dell’università in termini di domanda della conoscenza esprimibile come strumento di contrasto alla illegalità. Soprattutto, emerge la presenza di un notevole capitale di conoscenze negli atenei italiani, da valorizzare per trovare una più consapevole posizione nel sistema antimafia.

Le Università italiane affrontano la pandemia Covid 19 accogliendo i propri studenti in classi virtuali. Questo libretto fotografico illustra metodi e strategie della psicologia di comunità che danno voce ai problemi e alle risorse messe in campo dagli studenti. Il confinamento forzato ha messo in luce il ruolo della dimensione riflessiva e interattiva nella costruzione del sapere e nella acquisizione scientifica. Infatti, l’impossibilità del contatto e della interazione face to face ha evidenziato le potenzialità della didattica a distanza e l’importanza di spazi di condivisione e relazione. Italian universities are facing the Covid 19 pandemic by scaffolding their students in virtual classrooms. This photo-booklet highlights the community psychology methods and strategies which witness the students’ strains and strengths. Forced confinement has highlighted the role of the reflective and interactive dimension in the construction of knowledge and scientific acquisition. In fact, the impossibility of contact and face-to-face interaction has highlighted the potential of distance didactic and importance of spaces for sharing and relating. The introduction is by Matteo Lorito, Rector of the University, and the premise is by Gaetano Manfredi, Minister of University and Scientific Research.

Beschreibung: Paolo Panceri (Milan 1836 - Naples 1877) was one of the most appreciated naturalists of his time. Above all, his research on the luminescence of marine animals made him famous throughout the world. When in 1860 he won the competition for the chair of Comparative Anatomy, newly established in Italy, he preferred the University of Naples to those of Pavia and Bologna. In Naples, his "second homeland", he founded the Museum of Comparative Anatomy and helped, although not a Darwinist, Darwin's follower Anton Dohrn to obtain from the Municipality the land of the Royal Villa, on which the building of the Zoological Station would be built and finally inaugurated in 1875. When he died prematurely, his friend and colleague Emilio Cornalia remembered him with these words: «Tall in person, with brown eyes and hair, with a sweet and insinuating speech, with a reserved and modest demeanor, with a smile on his lips, he was one of those nice men who make themselves immediately understood and loved, and who so rarely meet in the human crowd." This volume retraces Panceri's life: his youthful education in Milan, his studies and early research in Pavia, his relationships with Naples, his friendships inside and outside the academic world, his troubled sentimental affairs, the two trips he made to Egypt over the years 1872-1874.

Beschreibung: Paolo Panceri (Milano 1836 - Napoli 1877) fu uno dei più apprezzati naturalisti del suo tempo. Soprattutto le sue ricerche sulla luminescenza degli animali marini lo resero famoso in tutto il mondo. Quando nel 1860 vinse il concorso per la cattedra di Anatomia comparata, appena istituita in Italia, preferì l’Università di Napoli a quelle di Pavia e Bologna. A Napoli, sua «seconda patria», fondò il Museo di Anatomia comparata e aiutò, benché non darwinista, il seguace di Darwin Anton Dohrn a ottenere dal Comune i terreni della Villa reale, sui quali sarebbe sorto l’edificio della Stazione zoologica, inaugurata nel 1875. Quando morì prematuramente, il suo amico e collega Emilio Cornalia lo ricordò con queste parole: «Alto nella persona, dagli occhi e dai capelli bruni, dalla parola dolce e insinuante, dal contegno riserbato e modesto, dal sorriso sulle labbra, era uno di quei simpatici uomini che si fanno subito comprendere ed amare, e che tanto di rado si incontrano nella folla umana». Questo volume ripercorre la vita di Panceri: la formazione giovanile a Milano, gli studi e le prime ricerche a Pavia, i rapporti con Napoli, le amicizie dentro e fuori il mondo accademico, le tribolate vicende sentimentali, i due viaggi compiuti in Egitto negli anni 1872-1874.

Beschreibung: Capodimonte was the first Palace of Neapolitan Dinasty “Borbone”, but it was neglected due to the rise of Portici and Caserta’s Royal Palaces, therefore, it was built very slowly. It was completed only a century after the laying of the foundation stone (1738). After so long times, which saw the succession of several architects aiming the leadership to the royal site, some of them were quite famous among the most representative figures of Architecture and Art History in Naples, across Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries. The Royal Site was originally meant as Hunting reserve nearby the Capital and significant place of rest for the young Carlo di Borbone (Charles of Bourbon), who two years later decided to build a Royal Palace too. That decision was intended to amend the territorial aspects of Neapolitan northern hill, also to influence the urban layout before the unification of Italy. This study, based on a careful documentary and iconographic research, highlights the complex development of the palace and its park which are still paying a high price for the most controversial aspects of the project and its execution, emerged since the beginnings.

Beschreibung: [Italiano]: Il farmaco, nella sua accezione più ampia e generale, può essere ritenuto un bene sociale, la cui valenza simbolica e curativa varia in relazione alla dimensione ambientale e culturale nel quale si inserisce. In tal senso, le prescrizioni farmaceutiche rappresentano un indicatore privilegiato per la conoscenza del sistema salute di un determinato territorio, poiché costituiscono un punto di intersezione ideale tra la prospettiva medica e quella di mercato. Siffatte considerazioni hanno sollecitato l’elaborazione di questo Report che si pone, come obiettivi dichiarati, quello di essere uno strumento utile alla pianificazione di interventi di sanità pubblica, quanto quello di svolgere analisi approfondite sulle caratteristiche dei soggetti che usano i farmaci e sulle modalità di trattamento degli stessi, permettendo studi di appropriatezza prescrittiva su specifiche aree di rilevanza clinica e su specifiche coorti di soggetti. “PharmaCaRe Report 2018” è stato realizzato dal CIRFF (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca in Farmacoeconomia e Farmacoutilizzazione) dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, in collaborazione con la Direzione Generale della Tutela della Salute della Regione Campania, per delineare un quadro dettagliato circa il consumo e la prescrizione dei farmaci in Campania nel 2018. Questo Report intende infatti fornire una fotografia dettagliata dell’utilizzo che, in Campania, viene fatto dei farmaci in termini di spesa, volumi e tipologia. Le analisi dei dati prodotte offrono spunti importanti per correlare la prevalenza delle patologie nel territorio con il corrispondente utilizzo dei farmaci e suggeriscono un’interpretazione dei principali fattori che influenzano la variabilità nella prescrizione. La disponibilità di una banca dati che copre una popolazione assistibile di circa sei milioni di abitanti è d’altronde un potente strumento di ricerca per studiare gli effetti dell’utilizzo dei farmaci in condizioni di Real-World. La conoscenza delle dinamiche prescrittive, in termini qualitativi (appropriatezza d’uso), oltre che quantitativi (volumi di utilizzo) è la condizione necessaria per inquadrare in un contesto razionale la politica del farmaco, anche sotto il profilo della valutazione degli effetti degli interventi che il mercato, le normative o la cultura del farmaco sviluppano nel tempo. Per tali ragioni, “PharmaCaRe Report 2018” rappresenta un utile quanto prezioso supporto ai decisori per individuare strategie volte a ottimizzare l’allocazione delle risorse, nonché migliorare i percorsi di cura attraverso un monitoraggio costante, la promozione di più elevati standard di cura e l’uso sicuro, efficiente ed efficace dei farmaci ./[English]: In its broadest and most general sense, the drug can be considered a public resource, whose symbolic and curative value varies in relation to the environmental and cultural dimension in which it is embedded. In this sense, pharmaceutical prescriptions represent a privileged indicator for the knowledge of the health system of a given territory, since they constitute an ideal intersection point between the medical and the market perspective. Such considerations prompted the preparation of this Report. “PharmaCaRe Report 2018” has been produced by CIRFF (Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca in Farmacoeconomia e Farmacoutilizzazione) of the Federico II University of Naples, in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Health Protection of the Campania Region, to provide a detailed overview of the pharmaceutical consumption and prescriptions in Campania in 2018. This Report aims to provide a detailed picture of the use of medicines in the general population in Campania, in terms of expenditure, volumes and type. The analyses of the data produced offer important clues for correlating the prevalence of diseases in this area with the respective use of medicines and suggest an interpretation of the main factors influencing prescriptions' variability. The availability of a database covering a patient population of around six million is a powerful research tool for studying the effects of drug use in Real-World conditions. Knowledge of the dynamics of prescription, in qualitative terms (appropriateness of use), as well as quantitative (volumes of use) is the necessary condition to frame the drug policy in a rational context, also in terms of evaluating the effects of the interventions that the market, regulations or drug culture develop over time. For these reasons, “PharmaCaRe Report 2018” represents a useful and valuable tool for political decision-makers in identifying strategies aimed at optimizing the allocation of resources, as well as improving care pathways through constant monitoring, the promotion of higher standards of care and safe, efficient and effective use of drugs.

Asymmetries between centres and peripheries, continuities and discontinuities. The Italian case (1861-2015), organized between the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 and coordinated by the Centro di ricerca “Guido Dorso” per lo studio del pensiero meridionalistico. The volume is conceived as a test for the vitality of a field of study of historiography on contemporary Italy: that on the various sectors of the country’s elite from Risorgimento to present days. This effort has been made through direct discussion between scholars, paying particular attention to the territorial diversities and the political and institutional changes. The work offers a rich and multifaceted collection of essays, focusing on different geographical areas and segments of the Italian ruling classes, based on different methodological approaches and various sources.

Il caso italiano (1861-2015), organizzato tra fine 2016 e inizio 2017, con il coordinamento del Centro di ricerca “Guido Dorso” per lo studio del pensiero meridionalistico di Avellino. Il volume è stato concepito come un’opportunità per saggiare la vitalità di un settore specifico della storiografia relativa all’Italia contemporanea: quello degli studi dei vari segmenti della classe dirigente del nostro Paese dal Risorgimento ai nostri giorni, attraverso un confronto diretto tra ricercatori, con un’attenzione alle peculiarità territoriali e alle fratture politico-istituzionali vissute nel corso della vicenda unitaria. Il lavoro offre al lettore un quadro ricco e variegato di ricerche sia per i differenti focus su territori e settori delle classi dirigenti italiane, sia per i differenti approcci proposti e le tipologie di fonti utilizzate dagli autori.
