    Il Gran Sottisier. Mirabilia, falsi e plagi nel giornalismo letterario di Giovanni Pellegrino Dandi (2023)

    Description: An abbot, a journalist, and a man of letters, Giovanni Pellegrino Dandi (1664–c. 1726) curated, during his frenetic activity, the columns of various literary periodicals. His writings immediately caught the attention of some of the leading Italian intellectuals of his time, from Lodovico Antonio Muratori to Antonio Vallisneri. While filling a gap in the coeval cultural press, Dandi’s publications, such as «Gran Giornale de’ Letterati» (1701–1704), were, in fact, a fraud. Rather than creating original works, Dandi appropriated writings that had been printed before, and were later forgotten by the readers. Jacopo Narros brings to light the documentation about Dandi’s cheatings, creating an entertaining narrative of the editorial nonchalance of this singular erudite, and outlining his fascinating figure of forger and plagiarist. Moreover, by investigating the relationship between the «gran sottisier» and the 17th and 18th century literary community, Narros shows the dynamism of the intellectual life of that period. In those years, erudites like Apostolo Zeno and Scipione Maffei were active in structuring new communicative strategies to transmit innovative scientific discoveries and literary experiences to their readership.

    Description: Giovanni Pellegrino Dandi (1664-1726 c.), abate, giornalista, poligrafo, nelle colonne dei vari periodici letterari da lui promossi nella sua frenetica carriera ha fatto risuonare le voci principali dell’erudizione di fine Seicento e inizio Settecento, attirando l’attenzione di alcuni degli intellettuali di spicco del suo tempo, da Lodovico Antonio Muratori ad Antonio Vallisneri. Le pubblicazioni di Dandi – a partire dal «Gran Giornale de’ Letterati» (1701-1704) – rimediavano a un’effettiva lacuna della coeva divulgazione culturale a stampa, ma erano il più delle volte confezionate rubando scritti già usciti in precedenza e ormai dimenticati dai lettori. Jacopo Narros ripercorre con grande capacità narrativa la disinvoltura editoriale di questo singolare letterato e, ricorrendo a molti documenti, ne delinea la figura di falsario e plagiario. Nello stesso tempo, ponendo il «gran sottisier» in rapporto con la comunità intellettuale sei-settecentesca, traccia il quadro di una cultura in movimento, nella quale altri autori – tra i primi Apostolo Zeno e Scipione Maffei – erano impegnati a creare nuovi e più fondati strumenti per trasmettere ai lettori una innovativa informazione scientifica e letteraria.

    Costituzionalismo differenziale e identità indigene (2022)

    Description: The book aims to reconstruct, with a interdisciplinary approach in a comparative methodology, the evolution of Bolivian institutions, from independence to the present days, in the light of the indigenous element as a legal interpretative parameter. After a first denial and a forced assimilation, the indigenous element was integrated into the institutions until it became central to the construction of an alternative constitutionalism to the Western model. The dissertation outlines three Latin American constitutional cycles. For each constitutional cycle, the common lines and the differences with Western constitutionalism are analysed, referring to the importance attributed to the indigenous element, since to a detailed analysis of intercultural and multinational constitutionalism of the 2009 Bolivian constitution. The indigenous element is fundamental because it becomes a source of national law, thus giving rise to a plural juridical model that starts from the community, and the traditional and ancestral culture of the indigenous people. It also challenges the Western individual constitutionalism, only founded on the supremacy of human rights.

    Description: La monografia si propone di ricostruire, con un taglio interdisciplinare nella metodologia comparata, l’evoluzione delle istituzioni boliviane, a partire dall’indipendenza fino ai giorni nostri, alla luce dell’elemento indigeno come parametro interpretativo-normativo. Dopo una prima negazione e un’assimilazione forzata, l’elemento indigeno è stato integrato nelle istituzioni fino a diventare centrale per la costruzione di un costituzionalismo alternativo al modello occidentale. La trattazione delinea tre cicli costituzionali latino-americani. Per ogni ciclo costituzionale, sono analizzate le linee comuni ai diversi Stati e le differenze con il costituzionalismo occidentale, in riferimento all’importanza attribuita all’elemento indigeno, fino ad un’analisi dettagliata del costituzionalismo interculturale e multinazionale della carta boliviana del 2009. In essa, l’elemento indigeno è fondamentale perché diventa fonte stessa del diritto nazionale, facendo sorgere, così, un modello giuridico plurale che parte dalla comunità, dalla tradizione e dalla cultura ancestrale degli indigeni e contesta il costituzionalismo individuale di matrice occidentale, fondato unicamente sulla supremazia dei diritti umani.

    Description: The book was created as a study and support tool for the teaching and practical-laboratory activities of the three-year degree course in International Sciences and European Institutions (EIS) at the Department of International, Legal and Historical-Political Studies of the University of Milan and aims to offer a systematic overview of customs regulations, as a specific technical aspect within the broader context of the discipline of international trade. One of the main objectives is to make students, and all those who approach customs matters, perceive the absolute concreteness of the same, dwelling on the illustration of the main institutes, procedures and technical elements that form the basis of customs assessment. As a complement, the regulatory framework governing trade restrictions is then presented, with particular reference to the control of exports of dual goods, highlighting the delicate aspect of the related penalties and the strategic importance of a conscious and adequate approach to the discipline on the subject. From the overall picture, it clearly emerges how compliance in customs matters today represents a decisive factor in the qualification of trustworthy economic subjects, which is becoming increasingly important in the scenario of international trade relations. A number of in-depth materials are recalled and integrated in the text, to allow a more detailed analysis of specific aspects relating to the topics covered.

    Description: Il volume nasce come strumento di studio e di supporto alle attività didattiche e pratico-laboratoriali nel corso di laurea triennale in Scienze internazionali e istituzioni europee (SIE) presso il Dipartimento di studi internazionali, giuridici e storico-politici dell’Università degli Studi di Milano e vuole offrire un quadro sistematico della normativa doganale, quale aspetto tecnico specifico all’interno del più ampio contesto della disciplina del commercio internazionale. Uno dei principali obiettivi è quello di far percepire agli studenti, e a tutti coloro che si approcciano alla materia doganale, l’assoluta concretezza della stessa, soffermandosi sull’illustrazione dei principali istituti, delle procedure e degli elementi tecnici che costituiscono la base dell’accertamento doganale. Ad integrazione, viene poi rappresentato il quadro normativo che regola le restrizioni commerciali, con particolare riferimento al controllo sulle esportazioni dei beni duali, segnalando il delicato aspetto delle connesse sanzioni e della strategica importanza di un consapevole e adeguato approccio alla disciplina in materia. Dal quadro complessivo emerge chiaramente come la compliance in materia doganale rappresenti oggi un fattore decisivo di qualificazione dei soggetti economici affidabili, che assume, nello scenario delle relazioni commerciali internazionali, una sempre crescente importanza. Sono richiamati e integrati nel testo alcuni materiali di approfondimento, per consentire un’analisi più dettagliata di specifici aspetti relativi agli argomenti oggetto di trattazione.

    Description: The essay reports the results of a research aimed at identifying and measuring the most relevant accounting ratios for assessing the degree of economic, equity and financial balance of the Italian state university system. For the first time, the financial statements of all 67 state universities were collected, aggregated, reclassified, and analysed over the three-year period 2018-2020. This analysis gives a very detailed overview of the system, showing its strengths and weaknesses, problems, and paradoxes. In addition, the work proposes an appropriate system of indicators to improve awareness of the processes of allocation and management of financial resources, both at the level of every single university, and of the university system as a whole.

    Description: Il saggio riporta i risultati di una ricerca finalizzata a identificare e misurare gli indicatori più significativi per valutare il grado di equilibrio economico, patrimoniale e finanziario del sistema universitario statale italiano. A tale fine, per la prima volta sono stati raccolti, aggregati, riclassificati ed analizzati i bilanci di tutti i 67 atenei statali nel triennio 2018-2020. Ne emerge un quadro molto circostanziato del profilo dell’intero sistema, che dà evidenza dei punti di forza e di debolezza, delle criticità e dei paradossi che lo caratterizzano. In più, il lavoro propone un sistema di indicatori appropriato per migliorare la consapevolezza e la razionalità dei processi di allocazione e gestione delle risorse finanziarie a livello sia di sistema che singolo ateneo.

    Description: Il diritto del lavoro è da tempo soggetto a un processo di profonda trasformazione che coinvolge indistintamente tutti i paesi. La ragione principale di questi cambiamenti deve essere individuata nell’evoluzione inesorabile dei processi tecnologici che ha dato luogo a quella che viene solitamente definita come la quarta rivoluzione industriale. La diffusione della robotica, dell’automazione industriale, dell’intelligenza artificiale, delle piattaforme digitali sul web, delle applicazioni informatiche, delle stampanti 3D, delle nanotecnologie, degli algoritmi, dell’internet delle cose sta già producendo e sempre più continuerà a produrre un profondo cambiamento nella vita delle persone, nelle relazioni tra gli individui, nella società e, inevitabilmente, anche nel modo di lavorare. Non ci sono aspetti del diritto del lavoro che non siano coinvolti in questo processo di trasformazione: dalle relazioni sindacali alla qualificazione dei rapporti di lavoro, dalla salute e sicurezza del lavoratore alle forme di controllo del datore di lavoro. Il presente volume offre una compiuta analisi di queste complesse tematiche nell’ambito degli ordinamenti giuridici di Italia, Spagna e Brasile in modo da permettere un confronto, aggiornato alla luce degli ultimi sviluppi, tra le esperienze dei diversi paesi in merito all’impatto delle nuove tecnologie sulle regole del diritto del lavoro.

Per avanzare e vincere non occorrono soltanto conoscenze sui canti, i personaggi e i temi infernali, ma ci si dovrà anche confrontare con diversi metodi di indagine applicati ai testi negli studi universitari: questa, anzi, sarà la porta d’accesso per guardare all’opera dantesca sullo sfondo dell’intero Medioevo, con la sua storia, le sue idee, la sua cultura, i problemi che si è posto e le risposte che ha provato a dare. Il gioco potrà servire a stimolare e consolidare l’apprendimento in studenti delle superiori che incontrino per la prima volta i versi danteschi, o essere occasione per tutti gli appassionati per rivivere e ricordare – in maniera più disimpegnata – letture del passato.     Description: Higher technical institutes – known in Italy as ITSs (Istituti tecnici superiori) initially, and ITS Academies since 2022 – were ideated 15 years ago to give technical and vocational school graduates more qualified education and work perspectives, with a view to help the Italian economy grow in terms of innovation. ITSs reflect a commitment to make up for the country’s lack of tertiary professional education, which is a major factor in Italy’s ranking among the countries with the lowest ratio of tertiary graduates in Europe. The National Recovery and Resilience Plan itself has allocated remarkable resources to strengthen these institutes. This Report traces the difficult evolution of ITSs from 2007 to the present, investigates what their future developments may be, and sheds a light on their limits – in terms of size, diffusion and ability to attract students – by comparing them with tertiary professional education models currently in place in France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland

Questo Rapporto ricostruisce la faticosa evoluzione degli ITS dal 2007 a oggi e si interroga sulle loro prospettive, mettendone in luce i limiti – in termini di dimensione, diffusione e capacità di attrazione – attraverso un confronto con i modelli di istruzione terziaria professionalizzante in Francia, Germania, Spagna e Svizzera.

    Description: This work provides the legal framework in which the Venetian book trade operated in the years 1527-1565. The repertoire documents the systematic use that authors and printers made of the privileges system to ensure exclusivity in the economic exploitation of a work and thus protect their work and investments. The archival and bibliographic sources collected in this volume testify to the entrepreneurial strategies implemented by authors and printers to innovate and diversify publishing production in order to create products capable of competing on foreign markets. The repertoire also traces the role of the Venetian State in promoting and protecting the local book industry in a context characterized by constant historical and political changes.

Il repertorio documenta il sistematico uso che autori e stampatori fecero del sistema dei privilegi per assicurarsi l’esclusività nello sfruttamento economico di un’opera e proteggere così il proprio lavoro e i propri investimenti. Le fonti archivistiche e bibliografiche raccolte in questo volume testimoniano le strategie imprenditoriali messe in atto da autori e stampatori per innovare e diversificare la produzione editoriale allo scopo di creare prodotti capaci di competere sui mercati esteri. Il repertorio traccia inoltre il ruolo dello Stato veneziano nel promuovere e proteggere l’industria libraria locale in un contesto caratterizzato da continui cambiamenti storici e politici.

    Description: The Milan Higher Education Observatory (MHEO) has as its object of analysis the tertiary education system (University, AFAM and ITS Academy) of the Metropolitan City of Milan and the Lombardy region. This first report presents the players in the higher education system in the geographical area of interest, addresses the issue of educational offers by providing data on the number and composition by areas of study of the courses offered by the three kinds of institutions, details the composition of students by level of education, by area of study and by gender, and finally addresses the issue of PhDs, by providing data not only on the current situation but also on recent trends.

    Description: From the middle of the 16th century, the practice of duelling, by then closely linked to the principle of honour and the defence of its integrity, became the subject of a large number of treatises addressed to a large audience of gentlemen, eager to know the most honourable ways to come to terms with the disputes that often involved them. Treatises on the duel, whose diffusion was favoured by the use of the vernacular and the intense publishing activity of the time, gave rise to a discipline, the science of chivalry, which played a decisive role in the diffusion of the myth of chivalry and in the definition of a common noble ethos. Through an indepth study, in Onorati gentiluomini e duellanti impavidi Giovanni Fiazza highlights the foundations of a way of understanding the division between the classes and social relations that would come to an end only two centuries later, with the end of the Old Regime.

    Description: Dalla metà del Cinquecento la pratica del duello, ormai strettamente legata al principio dell’onore e alla difesa della sua integrità, divenne l’oggetto di un ampio numero di trattati rivolti a un folto pubblico di gentiluomini, quanto mai desiderosi di conoscere i modi più onorevoli per venire a capo delle dispute che li vedevano spesso coinvolti. La trattatistica sul duello, la cui diffusione fu favorita dall’uso del volgare e dall’intensa attività editoriale dell’epoca, diede vita a una vera e propria disciplina, la scienza cavalleresca, che ebbe un ruolo determinante nella diffusione del mito della cavalleria e nella definizione di un comune ethos nobiliare. Approfondendone lo studio in Onorati gentiluomini e duellanti impavidi, Giovanni Fiazza mette in evidenza le basi di un modo di intendere la divisione tra i ceti e i rapporti sociali che sarebbe tramontato solamente due secoli dopo, con la fine dell’Antico Regime.
