Description: The research belongs to the disciplinary field of drawing disciplines, focusing attention on autism’s needs, andaiming at guiding the architectural space perception using virtual reality. The drawing disciplines, providing aninterpretation of spatial syntax, become an interdisciplinary medium to observe with a new perspective the output data of the experimentation, this way incisively contributing to a field of research hitherto dominated only by medical, pedagogical, and technological disciplines. The interdisciplinary research methodologyintegrates the joint visions of multiple theoretical fields; in addition to the more specific one of drawing, alsothe ergonomic, pedagogical, museum sector and the neuroscience area. The author aims to fill some gaps, found in the investigated context, about human perceptual answers to the VR representation, shifting the focusof attention, from the technological aspects of the digital tool to the user. This way, the research increases thepotential of virtual reality as an educational and inclusive medium. Starting from these assumptions, the study deals with a profound analysis of the perceptive responses in the relationship between man and architecturalspace, both in the neurotypical context and in the autistic scenario, to explore the role of the drawings disciplineas a guide in the interpretation of spatial morphologies for people with perceptual impairments. Comparing theanalytical phase’s output data, the research develops the main design objectives aimed at developing theguidelines tool for the autism-friendly virtual environment design. This way it overcomes the gaps of previousexperiments considering all the factors analyzed in the preliminary study phases, human and ergonomicfactors, perceptive, educational, and inclusive. The drawing disciplines, acting as an interdisciplinary medium, provide the most appropriate operational tools for achieving the preset objectives. The "re-design" of a spacecustomized to a weaker user's needs has, as a further consequence, the outcome of indiscriminately extendingthe possibility of access to culture, since improving the relationship with the space can also help improve our relationship with ourselves and with others.

Description: The curators, on the occasion of the World Day of Disability, have gathered together contributions, reflections, projects and workshops presented to offer an interdisciplinary reflection on the theme of disability and inclusion, beginning with "Unimc for Inclusion", a week rich in meetings on the theme of inclusion held at the University of Macerata. The authoritative contributions of scholars from diverse disciplinary fields, allow readers to retrace the theme of inclusion from different theoretical research perspectives, reconstructing an interesting corollary of reflections and operational paths ranging from special pedagogy, general pedagogy, psychology, social robotics, virtual reality, economics, law, literature, philosophy, art, etc. It is due of this approach that the text is particularly pertinent to teachers, educators and pedagogues in active service and in training, not least because of the range of workshop proposals and transferable experiences in school contexts and in day and residential centres.

Description: Starting 2011, Fabrizia Venuta has developed projects of seasons of foreign language films addressed to schools, focused on specific topics also deepened with seminars. Students taking part in the projects have to make a final composition, that will be exhibited during a project’s final event taking place at the University Federico II. The sixth season entitled “From Outside in”, from which this book derived its title, took place from November 2019 until May 2020, had an enthusiastic students’ attendance and emotional involvements reflected in the fairy tales, short stories, essays, lyrics and poems they wrote both in Italian and English. In this book all the literary works have been collected, ordered by genres and grouped in a first part in Italian and a second part in English. This book is an invitation to reflect on the path that can lead a teenager from a situation of initial exclusion to the integration in his/her own social context and on how the way in which they go through this process may help adults to better understand them and to became better human beings and parents.

Description: Cartoline is a didactic method practised by the studies center "Yad Vashem". Starting from the observation and the study of an image, pupils and teachers think about it invlving themselves in a dynamic lesson stimulated by some guided-questions the teacher made. The teachers asked students to create a circle where some images are putted into. Students are asked to choose one of them and to write a words the image suggest them. The image is not contextualized and it shows daily item as a glass of milk or common action as petting an animal. Only afterward the teacher is going to contextualize the image: the glass of milk rapresent the amount of calories (184) assumed by prisoners in concentration camp. A discussion with students is launched.

Description: Conceived on the occasion of the first edition of "Unimc for Inclusion", an initiative promoted by the University of Macerata, the volume intends to propose, in a single collective work, theoretical coordinates and operational trajectories applicable in plural contexts, including training whether they are educational, aggregated or residential. The paradigm of inclusion is therefore investigated on the basis of its declinations, as well as multiple perspectives of research, through a variety of thematic insights. Implementation challenges, laboratory proposals and design hypotheses that come to life in the text, offering the reader practical ideas for reflection and experimentation with an inclusive character. For these reasons, this book is particularly recommended to pedagogues, teachers and educators, both in training and in service, because in their profession they are constantly called upon to engage in "inclusion tests".
