    Beschreibung: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

Los escándalos de corrupción en instituciones públicas, asociados erróneamente con el clientelismo, han suscitado el interés de muchos estudios de caso, que corroboran la existencia de racionalidades útiles a quienes detentan el poder, pero ineficientes dentro de las lógicas de un Estado moderno regido por la trasparencia, meritocracia y la participación ciudadana en defensa de lo público.

    Beschreibung: A Agência de Informação dos Estados Unidos (USIA), órgão criado pelo presidente norte-americano Dwight D. Eisenhower, foi a maior agência daquele país no exterior durante os anos 50 e 60, em número de funcionários e orçamento. No Brasil, a USIA chegou a ter mais de 60 postos locais espalhados por todo o país, fazendo constantes pesquisas qualitativas e quantitativas da opinião pública brasileira; produzindo materiais apócrifos para imprensa (jornais, rádios, TVs e cinema); organizando feiras e exposições; e promovendo intercâmbios educacionais, artísticos e culturais. Este livro se baseou, principalmente, nos arquivos do governo norte-americano e em entrevistas com ex-funcionários da USIA.

    Beschreibung: Desde o final do século XIX, as elites intelectuais argentinas recorreram às teorias raciais e étnicas para explicar a formação da sua pátria. Disso resultou a noção do "crisol de raças", fundamentada em concepções biológicas e no darwinismo social, que se constituiu em mecanismo de controle social e étnico para nacionalizar as massas chegadas durante o processo de imigração européia a partir de 1880. Neste livro são analisadas as relações existentes entre Carlos Octavio Bunge (1875-1918) e José Ingenieros (1877-1925), autores que compartilhavam das mesmas idéias étnicas e da preocupação em decifrar a história nacional, ambos considerados, por isso, pertencentes a essa corrente cientificista. A pesquisa para a obra abrange a produção desses intelectuais em importantes revistas do no início do século XX, como por exemplo: Revista de Derecho, Historia y Letras, Revista de Filosofia, Cultura, Ciencias y Educación e El Monitor de la Educación Común.

Otro aspecto de este conflicto es la existencia de tierras que, loteadas en un pasado lejano, están en situación de abandono por propietarios ausentes. Y cabe entonces preguntarse: ¿pueden coexistir propiedades abandonadas con demandas insatisfechas de suelo urbano? Y en todo caso, ¿cómo puede intervenir el Estado ante un andamiaje legal que protege la propiedad sin propietario? Los autores de este libro buscan develar el origen de esta situación paradójica y contribuir a la intervención del Estado a favor de la ampliación del acceso al suelo urbano. Asimismo, para no quedarse en el plano meramente analítico, proponen el estudio del caso de la ciudad de San Carlos de Bariloche y una forma de resolución a partir de una herramienta legislativa concreta.

    Beschreibung: El concepto de transición es necesariamente confuso, porque siempre resulta difícil delimitar cuál es el punto de partida de cualquier proceso de cambio político, económico o cultural en la sociedad, así como si es meramente coyuntural o afecta al conjunto de la estructura de un país. En consecuencia, la delimitación del origen y término de cualquier proceso será siempre convencional y relativa. Para el conjunto de las ciencias sociales, los procesos de cambio político han tenido siempre un considerable interés, pues permiten entender mejor las sociedades modernas y actuar en consecuencia en su seno. Este libro, que gira en torno al concepto de transición, es fruto de las ponencias y comunicaciones presentadas en el Congreso Internacional sobre Transiciones que se celebró del 7 al 9 de mayo de 2014 en la Universitat Rovira i Virgili de Tarragona. En él se estudiaron los procesos de transición y transformación en el mundo contemporáneo y la serie de conflictos que suscitan en los más diversos ámbitos desde una perspectiva abiertamente pluridisciplinar.

Paulo, os rastros deixados pelos colaboradores que, durante os anos de 1938 a 1945, interpretaram os acontecimentos do campo internacional como transformadores da realidade interna. Nesse sentido, não se trata de estudar os fatos que marcaram a Segunda Guerra Mundial, mas sim de demonstrar de que modo os articulistas construíram imagens que se firmaram ao longo do tempo e que destoavam, em grande medida, das diretrizes propugnadas pelo Estado Novo.

    Beschreibung: "Conocer la situación del acceso abierto del libro académico en Iberoamérica fue el objetivo de la investigación que se presenta en este libro. Entender las dinámicas propias de los libros en acceso abierto en el espacio iberoamericano en este momento particular permite trazar rutas y diseñar estrategias que favorezcan la presencia de contenidos académicos en español y en otros idiomas de la región en la red. Todo ello entendiendo el acceso abierto como una extraordinaria posibilidad de divulgación y circulación de contenidos académicos, además de verlo como un compromiso con la sociedad. La panorámica que se ofrece en este libro es resultado de un estudio en el que participaron más de ciento cuarenta editoriales universitarias latinoamericanas, por medio de un instrumento diseñado para tal fin, aportando información sobre la edición digital y la edición de publicaciones en acceso abierto en la región. Estos resultados fueron complementados mediante entrevistas a algunos de los coordinadores de las redes nacionales de editoriales universitarias y con varios representantes del sector. Adicionalmente, los resultados son comparados con los de España.     Beschreibung: Il Forum europeo tenutosi a Milano sul tema “Amore e odio per l’Europa” è stato un evento maggiore che ha riunito numerosi psicoanalisti provenienti dalle Scuole europee e mondiali del Campo freudiano, mettendoli a confronto con specialisti di diverse discipline, economisti, politologi, filosofi, storici, giuristi. La posta in gioco di questo straordinario dibattito era una riflessione, ormai urgente, sullo spazio europeo. Con questo si intende ovviamente non solo lo spazio geografico – tuttavia importante da definire concretamente nella prospettiva della globalizzazione – ma soprattutto lo spazio politico, di pensiero, di scambi che non possono limitarsi al mercato, se non vogliamo che l’Europa cada nell’indifferenza dei popoli che la abitano. In un’epoca in cui le tensioni ideali non sono più un motore vivo della storia, bisogna puntare a far nascere il desiderio per altre vie. Il capitalismo ha scelto il diluvio d’oggetti, quel che siamo soliti chiamare consumismo e che mostra la corda nei vicoli ciechi in cui ci ha condotti il neoliberismo. Con la psicoanalisi possiamo trovare nuove strade, possiamo aprire a un’erotizzazione del pensiero, un amore che resta attualmente soffocato dietro le forme di odio cui spesso abbiamo assistito negli ultimi tempi. L’insegnamento freudiano però non ci lascia ignari del fatto che né l’odio né l’amore sono mai puri, ed è con questo intreccio complesso che, in molti modi, i testi del libro cercano di confrontarsi.

    Beschreibung: O livro busca contribuir na discussão teórica e de políticas sobre o desenvolvimento econômico, partindo das concepções sobre o desenvolvimentismo e o Estado desenvolvimentista, analisando suas diferentes e possíveis bases teóricas atuais, que, muitas vezes, são complementares. Assim, em seus capítulos, estudam-se as abordagens institucionalistas, as concepções evolucionárias ou neoschumpeterianas, a teoria keynesiana e a visão marxista, sempre levando em conta as experiências internacionais e a história do desenvolvimento. O desenvolvimento econômico continua sendo um desafio essencial para o Brasil, assim como para a maioria dos países. Apesar das melhorias sociais e do desempenho econômico dos últimos anos, depois de mais de duas décadas de semiestagnação, o país ainda está longe de diminuir para níveis adequados suas principais contradições. Os principais fatores estruturais que impedem o desenvolvimento continuam presentes no país, e alguns, inclusive, têm se acentuado. É por isso que o desenvolvimentismo continua atual e essencial para o futuro da sociedade brasileira. A sedução do liberalismo, com sua ideologia individualista, é muito forte, mas não é o caminho para o desenvolvimento econômico e social.A concentração de renda, a pobreza, a heterogeneidade estrutural e a inserção econômica internacional continuam em padrões longe dos apropriados. Nos indicadores de desempenho econômico e social, o Brasil costuma se posicionar em níveis ainda muito distantes dos alcançados por países desenvolvidos, e mesmo também dos atingidos por outros países em processo de desenvolvimento. Além disso, a existência de uma cultura conservadora entre as elites e o surgimento de evidências de desindustrialização podem significar uma perda de perspectiva de superação do subdesenvolvimento ou de adiamento para o longo prazo do catching up, ao contrário do que ocorre em alguns países que têm, em poucas décadas, superado o subdesenvolvimento.

XVII. Defende a hipótese de que Hobbes deve muito de sua concepção moral e política aos seus estudos acerca da ciência, que o orientam a pensar o homem e suas paixões. Com esse pressuposto, são também discutidas no livro algumas interpretações que criticam a relação entre filosofia natural (ciência) e filosofia moral. Finalmente, investiga-se o papel que duas paixões em especial, o medo e a esperança, desempenham no processo que afasta a guerra de todos e procura construir a paz política.

    Beschreibung: Este trabalho tem como objeto principal a composição social das bancadas na Câmara dos Deputados de seis dos principais partidos brasileiros. Entendemos que os resultados da pesquisa indicaram que há uma relação consistente e coerente entre os meios socio-ocupacionais de recrutamento partidário e as orientações político-programáticas dos partidos na escala ideológica direita-centro-esquerda. Complementarmente, o exame das configurações partidárias resultantes das eleições de 1990, 1994 e 1998 mostrou um quadro multipartidário relativamente estável, com avanços mais fortes das correntes de centro, perdas pequenas da direita e ganhos também pequenos da esquerda.

    Chapter Lo spazio narrativo nel romanzo: dalla descrizione testuale all’illustrazione grafica (2024)

    Beschreibung: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Beschreibung: La Universidad del Rosario, por conducto de su Observatorio Legislativo y del Grupo de Investigación en Derechos Humanos de la Facultad de Jurisprudencia, se asoció con la Fundación Hanns Seidel para organizar el Foro “Protección internacional de los derechos humanos en un marco de justicia transicional”. El objetivo principal del foro fue crear un espacio para hacer una reflexión, desde diversas perspectivas, alrededor de las discusiones actuales sobre derechos humanos y su protección internacional, en especial, por la coyuntura que vive nuestro país con ocasión del proceso de paz iniciado en 2012 y un eventual escenario de posconflicto derivado de éste, en el marco del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos y de la mano de expertos nacionales e internacionales en la materia.
