    Description: El monográfico ofrece un viaje por el tiempo desde mediados del XIX hasta hoy en día brindando al lector un conjunto de reflexiones sobre las representaciones discursivas del mundo político europeo y español que investigadores de distintos ámbitos traen a colación. Historiadores, lingüistas o analistas del discurso estudian el discurso de hombres ilustres como Pérez Galdós o Juan Negrín caracterizan el discurso político de la derecha, de jefes de Estado españoles o ofrecen muestras de comunicación política generadas desde el siglo XX hasta nuestros días que recogen dimensiones distintas de un mundo contemporáneo fragmentado: la eurofobia y su búsqueda del desmembramiento de la Unión Europea, el terrorismo como causante del divorcio entre oriente y occidente, la segregación económica provocada por la crisis, la enquistada discriminación por razones de género, la polarización ideológica de una nación, el surgimiento de nuevas palabras políticas en la prensa digital. En definitiva, el discurso de los actores políticos de los siglos XIX, XX y XXI sirve de punto de partida a distintos análisis que ponen de manifiesto que la política, fuerza centrípeta del volumen,actúa a la vez como fuerza centrífuga, generadora de divisiones, de heridas y de brechas sociales.

    Description: This book deals with the historical development of a group of four Spanish adjectives and adverbs: preciso / precisamente, justo / justamente, exacto / exactamente and cabal / cabalmente. Based on large historical corpus data-samples, this study combines quantitative and qualitative analysis with semasiological and onomasiological approaches and its focus lies on the diachronic development of three discourse functions (focussing, affirmation and reformulation). The results are discussed with reference to current theories of language change (grammaticalization, pragmaticalization, thetical grammar and cooptation) and explanatory factors such as analogy and changes in frequency.
    Description: Anhand einer historischen Korpusanalyse werden die spanischen Adjektiv-Adverb-Paare justo / justamente, cabal / cabalmente, preciso / precisamente y exacto / exactamente aus semasiologischer sowie onomasiologischer Perspektive analysiert. Die Studie kombiniert quantitative und qualitative Analysen und das Hauptaugenmerk liegt auf der diachronen Entwicklung der drei Diskursfunktionen (Fokussierung, Affirmation und Reformulierung). Die Ergebnisse werden im Rahmen gängiger Modelle des Sprachwandels (Grammatikalisierung, Pragmatikalisierung, Subjektivierung, cooptation) diskutiert und erklärende Faktoren wie Analogie und Veränderungen in der Häufigkeit herangezogen.

Using tools from the fields of Cognitive Linguistics and Critical Discourse Studies, the sociocognitive analysis is completed by a social-interactional empirical study drawing on the theoretical and methodological framework of Narrative Studies.
