    Description: In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Einfluss der Zylindergeometrie (zylindrisch; rippenförmig) auf die Mischcharakteristik eines kontinuierlich durchströmten Taylor-Vortex Reaktors untersucht. Hierfür wurde die Makro- und Mikromischung mittels Spurstoffversuchen, Messung des Rührenergieeintrages und einer chemischen Testreaktion bestimmt.

    Description: In this book a methodology for the evaluation of energy efficiency of mobile working machines by simulation is presented. It allows an efficiency analysis and systematic optimization of a single power train as well as a comparison of different power train concepts. The methodology is applied to a wheeled excavator. To ensure a realistic power demand in the simulation, a rule-based operator model is developed.

    Description: The risk estimation of precipitation events with high recurrence periods is difficult due to the limited time scale with meteorological observations. A homogenous distribution of rain gauges, especially in mountainous terrain, is also hardly convertible. In this study an analytical model with a high spatial resolution, designed for stochastic simulations of flood-related precipitation, is developed, evaluated and applied to different investigation areas in Germany.

    Description: Der Taylor-Couette Reaktor zeichnet sich aus durch gleichmäßige Mischintensitäten und schonende Mischbedingungen. Die Vermischung in der Taylor-Couette Strömung wurde experimentell untersucht. Die Größenskalen der Vermischung wurden hinsichtlich der Reaktorgeometrie spezifiziert. Basierend auf experimentellen Ergebnissen wurde die Vermischung in der Taylor-Couette Strömung modelliert sowie die Zusammenhänge zwischen Prozessparametern und Mischungszuständen geklärt.

    Description: In dieser Arbeit wurden Schwämme aus Al2O3, Mullit und oxidisch gebundenem SiC hinsichtlich ihrer Impuls- und Wärmetransporteigenschaften experimentell untersucht. Zur Auslegung chemischer Apparate nach dem heterogenen oder dem homogenen Modell wurden für folgende wärmetechnisch interessanten Parameter allgemeingültige, dimensionslose Korrelationen abgeleitet: Druckverlust, Wärmeübergangskoeffizient zwischen Fluid und Feststoffgerüst, Ruhe- sowie axiale und radiale Zweiphasen-Wärmeleitfähigkeit.

    Description: Die gekoppelte Simulation ist eine Möglichkeit, mechatronische Systeme in der Simulation abzubilden. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird die gekoppelte Simulation unter Matlab/Simulink beschrieben und eine Möglichkeit aufgezeigt, das Kommunikationsintervall bei der gekoppelten Simulation unter Berücksichtigung der beteiligten Teilsysteme zu bestimmen. Die erarbeitete Handlungsvorschrift wird an Beispielen aus dem Bereich der mobilen Arbeitsmaschinen verifiziert.

    Description: The aim of the present work is the mathematical modeling of solid bowl centrifuges for the dynamic simulation of separation processes in real time. The developed compartment model couples the residence time behavior with the material properties and thus allows a time and space-resolved simulation for solid bowl centrifuges. The profound insights into the separation process open up not only a better design, but also new fields of application such as the dynamic flowchart simulation.

    Description: In the production of modern components, e.g. displays, complex substrates with e.g. conducting paths and pre-structuring are liquid coated and dried. The surfaces of such layers have to have a very well specified quality, usual. Thus it is necessary to avoid the formation of surface structures. This work presents the elementary mechanism and describes a technique for visualization to investigate surface deformations due to Marangoni-Convection during thin film drying.

    Description: In the present work kinetic experiments addressing the oxidation of isobutene and isobutene to methacrolein over a new Mo-based mixed oxide catalyst are presented. The experiments focus on the one hand on the synthesis of the mixed oxide catalyst as well as the characterization of the crystal structure and on the other hand on the identification of suitable reaction conditions for the oxidation of the hydrocarbons.
