    Description: Feminicide has become a problem of general interest due to its high impact on the Colombian population; in this sense, this phenomenon was studied to characterize it in the departments of Huila and Tolima, which is why for the researchers it is essential to make this problem visible, pointing out the conditions framing violence against women from this macho culture that prevails in the region and country. The topic is of special interest since a review of press articles, epidemiological reports, local statements, and research on femicide in the two departments was carried out, seeking to make this phenomenon more visible to show the country’s reality so that it can be reported on. The results show that there is no research on the subject, which makes it possible to initiate a database with studies on femicide. Similarly, the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (2016) considers that the data described on homicide in 2015 and in previous years have decreased in magnitude over the years. The analysis of the variables realizes that the risk factors triggering the violent events that determine homicide have not been neutralized, reduced, or controlled, considering that public policy on security and citizen coexistence has been insufficient.

    Description: El Feminicidio se ha convertido en un problema de interés general por su alta afectación a la población colombiana, en tal sentido se estudió este fenómeno para caracterizarlo en los departamentos del Huila y Tolima, es por esta razón que para las investigadoras resulta fundamental visibilizar esta problemática, señalando las condiciones que enmarcan la violencia contra la mujer desde esta cultura machista que impera en la región y en el país. El tema reviste especial interés toda vez que se realizó una revisión de artículos de prensa, informes epidemiológicos, pronunciamientos locales e investigaciones frente al feminicio en los dos departamentos, buscando visibilizar con mayor fuerza este fenómeno a fin de mostrar la realidad al país para que se informe sobre éste. Los resultados evidencian la no existencia de investigaciones al respecto, lo que permite iniciar una base de datos con estudios acerca del feminicidio. De igual forma, el Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal (2016) considera que los datos descritos sobre el homicidio en el año 2015 y en años anteriores han disminuido en magnitud año tras año, el análisis de las variables da cuenta que los factores de riesgo que desencadenan los hechos violentos que determinan el homicidio no han sido neutralizados, reducidos o controlados, considerando que política pública de seguridad y convivencia ciudadana ha sido insuficiente.

    Description: Voltaire is one of the few European authors of the 18th century to have dealt with Korea. In this study, we first propose to highlight, through an analysis of all of his work, the texts in which he mentioned Korea and how this country is represented there. We will then try to identify his documentary sources, and we will focus mainly on how the author created stories from historical elements. Our survey also aims to understand Voltaire’s attitude to the historical-philosophical and dramatic genres, and to better understand his conception of these two genres.

    Description: Un país para los porteños propone un panorama renovado y plural sobre la experiencia del Estado de Buenos Aires al asumir libremente el ejercicio de su soberanía interior y exterior (1852-1861) en el proceso de construcción del Estado nacional argentino. El objetivo es facilitar una mayor comprensión de los intensos y complejos procesos acaecidos a mediados del siglo XIX que permiten señalar particularidades del Estado de Buenos Aires, sin dejar de considerar los enfrentamientos armados y demás interrelaciones con la Confederación Argentina y las agencias indígenas. Con esa finalidad, quince investigadores elaboraron síntesis argumentativas, estados de la cuestión e investigaciones específicas, desde sus respectivas especialidades, sobre: las provincias y la Confederación Argentina; la rebelión rural y federal de 1852; la condición estatal de Buenos Aires; la renovación política en las gobernaciones; los entramados jurídico-político-institucionales en la campaña; los procesos eleccionarios; las fuerzas armadas de Buenos Aires; las alternativas indígenas; la población, fiscalidad, economía y política de tierras; las mujeres de la Sociedad de Beneficencia; la prensa en la política; la cuestión religiosa; y las formas de construcción de una identidad porteña como comunidad imaginada.

    Description: This book addresses the question of vigilance in the face of an epidemic at the beginning of the 18th century, based on the example of the fight against the plague in the French Mediterranean. Because of its trans-Mediterranean trade, this region was particularly exposed to the risk of plague so that it sought to protect itself with concrete measures such as quarantine. ; Cet ouvrage s’intéresse au risque et à la vigilance face à la peste sur la côte méditerranéenne française dans la première moitié du 18e siècle. Entre 1720 et 1722, une terrible épidémie de peste frappe Marseille, la Provence, le Comtat-Venaissin et une partie du Languedoc, causant environ 100'000 décès. Aussi dramatique soit-elle, cette épidémie constitue une exception durant la première moitié du 18e siècle. La première partie de ce travail analyse les rapports entre vigilance, espace et communication et met en évidence une prévention qui s’exerce tant de manière transméditerranéenne que de manière interne au royaume de France. Une véritable «bureaucratie sanitaire» se met en place. La deuxième partie étudie les normes et les pratiques de la vigilance sanitaire, tant sur un plan politico-sanitaire (quarantaines des navires, des passagers et des marchandises) que sur un plan religieux (processions et prières pour endiguer la maladie). Enfin, la dernière partie se limite à la peste de 1720-1722 et illustre le passage d’une vigilance préventive à une vigilance réactive en s’intéressant aux «acteurs de la peste» et aux attitudes et tactiques développées face au fléau épidémique.

    Description: In publishing this book, an early version of which was first published under the auspices of the Academy of Athens, the French School at Athens highlights the research work of Aspasia Louvi-Kizi, an eminent specialist in the Frank and Byzantine Peloponnese, whose work reveals all of the complexity of the architectural forms, influences and models at work in the monuments of the medieval Byzantine city of Mystras. Out of all of the architecture created by the despotic couple formed by Manuel Cantacuzène (1349-1380) and his wife Isabelle de Lusignan, who were instrumental in turning Mystras into a centre of power, Aspasia Louvi-Kizi focuses on two of the city’s most iconic monuments, the monasteries of Peribleptos and Pantanassa, proposing a new history of their construction. Their architecture incorporates elements of Frank art, meaning western or gothic art, which were foreign to the local Byzantine tradition. The gothic aspect of Mystras’ architecture, as distinct from the Franco-Byzantine influences in the neighbouring crusader principality of Achaea, has more to do with Western art in Cyprus, and its introduction by Isabelle to the Peloponnese was to prove decisive. The Western elements that decorate the facades of clocks and towers, combined with the Byzantine features to constitute a concrete expression of the despotic couple’s pro-Western politics, in line with the imperial politics of Constantinople at the time. In the fragmented and multipolar world of the Eastern Mediterranean on the eve of the Ottoman conquest, this book highlights the role Mystras played as a centre of power in the region and, in doing so, contributes to a fresh take on the city as a whole. By continuing the international conversation about a renowned site, the French School at Athens shows its commitment to a multi-layered approach that reveals the complexity of the interactions at work in the history of the Greek world in transition.

    Description: Dans sa Démonolâtrie (1595), le procureur général de Lorraine, Nicolas Remy, estime que « Les sorciers appartiennent la plupart du temps au monde des bourgs et des campagnes. ». Cependant, les vauderies survenues à Lyon et Arras au XVe siècle comme les cas de possession du XVIIe siècle sont autant de témoignages de la présence de la sorcellerie dans les villes européennes. Les études de cas et les essais comparatifs réunis dans ce volume montrent qu'en dépit de la diversité des sociétés urbaines, la sorcellerie apparaît comme un révélateur des enjeux de pouvoir qui traversent les villes modernes.Dans sa postface, Carlo Ginzburg insiste sur la portée d'une approche comparatiste, toujours attentive aux écarts à la norme, et souligne l'importance d’aborder les procès de sorcellerie comme une manifestation particulière des tensions sociales et culturelles.

    Description: Au début du siècle dernier, le sultan du Maroc vient de signer un traité qui place désormais son pays sous le protectorat de la France (30 mars 1912). À l’ombre du maréchal Lyautey, un sultan de substitution, totalement soumis aux nouveaux maîtres français, a été proclamé. Cependant, nombreux sont ceux qui, au Maroc, refusent le fait accompli et se révoltent face à la mainmise étrangère sur le pays. Ainsi, dans le Sud marocain, Moulay Ahmed el Hiba, fils d’un marabout ouest-saharien (Ma el Aïnin), se fait proclamer sultan du Jihad en 1912 ; une première fois à Tiznit, la seconde à Marrakech. Ces événements ont donné naissance à un mouvement qui pendant plus de vingt ans (1912-1934) symbolisera pour ces populations berbères et ouest-sahariennes la résistance à l’avancée inéluctable des troupes coloniales françaises et espagnoles. Fondée sur une analyse croisée d’archives inédites, aussi bien françaises que marocaines, l’auteur fait la lumière sur un événement fondateur de la conquête coloniale du Maroc. Mythifiée, récupérée ou occultée, la figure fondatrice du mouvement hibiste est encore aujourd’hui le sujet d’un conflit mémoriel ayant pour objet l’Ouest saharien.

    Description: La figure du baiser occupe une place de choix dans les romans de Mary Shelley (1797-1851), femme de lettres anglaise traditionnellement attachée au courant romantique. Cet ouvrage veut contribuer à la connaissance, encore trop peu développée en France, de cette romancière, par le biais d’une figure littéraire qui entretient un rapport fort à la littérature en général et au romantisme en particulier. Il s’agira d’étudier les modalités de la représentation du baiser dans les sept romans que Mary Shelley produisit entre 1818 et 1837. Figure de la rencontre de deux subjectivités, le baiser se décline sur un mode sensible, mythique et philosophique chez la romancière. Au terme de ce parcours, c’est une figure bien particulière de l’écrivain qui sera (re)découverte.

    Description: The reading experience and the self-referential stories of children between five and six years of age presented in this booklet are the result of the work elaborated by the transition students of the Franciscan School of Pius XII, within the framework of the activities of the psychology professional practice project, whose purpose was to approach narratives and stories as an excuse to navigate through the subjective productions elaborated from the reading experience. The elaboration of the stories allowed the construction of a space to relate personal events considered significant for the children. Therefore, each story that the reader will encounter speaks of a small world that found a way to be transmitted to others through narrative. Beyond building a story, the idea was to allow a moment to think about those experiences that give meaning to existence, as they are loaded with imagination, emotions and sensations, which is an opportunity to develop the process of conceiving themselves as subjects with a story.

    Description: La experiencia de lectura y los relatos autorreferenciales de niños de entre cinco y seis años que se presentan en este cuadernillo son el resultado del trabajo elaborado por los alumnos de transición del Colegio Franciscano de Pío XII, en el marco de las actividades del proyecto de práctica profesional de psicología, cuyo propósito fue abordar las narrativas y los cuentos como excusa para navegar por las producciones subjetivas elaboradas a partir de la experiencia de lectura. La elaboración de los cuentos permitió la construcción de un espacio para relatar acontecimientos personales considerados significativos para los niños. Por lo tanto, cada historia que el lector encontrará habla de un pequeño mundo que encontró una forma de ser transmitido a otros a través de la narrativa. Más allá de construir una historia, la idea era permitir un momento para pensar en aquellas experiencias que dan sentido a la existencia, ya que están cargadas de imaginación, emociones y sensaciones, lo que constituye una oportunidad para desarrollar el proceso de concebirse como sujetos con una historia.

    Description: Can we build peace? relaunches the question of peacebuilding as a commitment to research and reflection beyond established theoretical frameworks. Each chapter of this book reflects the search and the questions that mobilize different scholars from their own intellectual trajectories and life experiences. It is a book that harbors the richness of its content in the diversity of methodical approaches to the question of peace. Thus, it understands that to build, to recognize, to dissent, to transform, are verbs of solidarity with which the transition from a country in conflict to a possible peace is conveyed. From the academic point of view, one of the great challenges is to consolidate the convergence of interests, knowledge and actions that allow a clear understanding of the complexity of the problems of the transition to peace. One of the premises that inspires the authors is to propose a decentered reading of established theories, without ignoring their value and without rejecting the necessary specificity required to elucidate and address specific issues such as psychological effects, legal discussions or media logics. Thus, the reader will find dissertations on cardinal issues of social, political and cultural life on which it is necessary to reflect in the processes of overcoming armed conflicts. This proposal seeks to delocalize, from a theoretical and methodological point of view, the research reflection and promote an interdisciplinary dialogue among authors from different regions and countries, in order to summon readers interested in understanding, from different points of view, the tensions, problems and ambiguities that Colombia faces in terms of peace.

    Description: ¿Podemos construir la paz?, relanza la pregunta por la construcción de paz como una apuesta por la investigación y reflexión más allá de los marcos teóricos establecidos. Cada capítulo de este libro refleja la búsqueda y los interrogantes que movilizan a distintos académicos desde sus propias trayectorias intelectuales y experiencias de vida. Es un libro que aloja la riqueza de su contenido en la diversidad de aproximaciones metódicas a la pregunta por la paz. Así las cosas, entiende que construir, reconocer, disentir, transformar, son verbos solidarios con los que se vehiculiza la transición de un país en conflicto, hacia una paz posible. Desde el punto de vista académico, uno de los grandes retos es consolidar la convergencia de intereses, saberes y acciones que permitan una clara comprensión de la complejidad de los problemas de la transición hacia la paz. Una de las premisas que inspira a los autores, es proponer una lectura descentrada de las teorías establecidas, sin desconocer su valor y sin recusar la especificidad necesaria que requieren la elucidación y abordaje de asuntos concretos como los efectos psicológicos, las discusiones jurídicas o las lógicas mediáticas. Por lo anterior, el lector encontrará disertaciones sobre temas cardinales de la vida social, política y cultural que precisan ser reflexionados en los procesos de superación de conflictos armados. Con esta propuesta, se busca deslocalizar, desde el punto de vista teórico y metodológico, la reflexión investigativa y promover un diálogo interdisciplinario entre autores de distintas regiones y países, con el fin de convocar a lectores interesados en comprender, desde distintos puntos de vista, las tensiones, problemas y ambigüedades a los que se enfrenta Colombia en materia de paz.

Con un arduo trabajo de rigurosa documentación, a partir de conceptos como cultura política, repertorios de acción colectiva o disputa de la agenda pública, la autora hilvana la trama de constitución del movimiento de derechos humanos en Córdoba, un movimiento social que, a veces contra el Estado, otras con él, desde los ejes de verdad y justicia por los crímenes cometidos durante la última dictadura cívico-militar, va convirtiéndose en referencia política de otra forma de hacer y comprender la democracia. Así, unas cuestiones que el poder político prometió responder y solo lo hizo a medias (¿dónde están los desaparecidos?, ¿qué hicieron con los nietos apropiados?, ¿qué pasó con las Malvinas?, ¿qué sucedió con la deuda externa?) se volvieron cuestionamientos centrales al orden social que impuso la dictadura y que, con rupturas y continuidades, en sus lineamientos centrales siguió implementándose en las dos primeras décadas de la nueva democracia.

    Description: Les guerres culturelles du XIXe siècle opposèrent les anticléricaux et les libéraux aux chrétiens intransigeants. Ils s’affrontèrent sur des questions majeures : l’articulation entre religion et politique ; les limites de la liberté individuelle, le but de l’existence humaine. Leurs visions du monde paraissaient inconciliables. Comment ont-ils géré leurs différends ? Quelles ont été finalement les voies de la coexistence ? En croisant les histoires italienne, française, allemande et suisse, cet ouvrage montre les mécanismes communs qui, en Europe, ont apporté une première vague sécularisatrice. La Guerre des deux France, le Kulturkampf et le Risorgimento sont analysés comme des crises d’apprentissage du pluralisme au sein des jeunes nations démocratiques. Ces guerres culturelles, sans véritables gagnants ni perdants, ont contribué à transformer tant les églises, qui luttaient pour ne pas perdre leur influence, que les états qui, en se laïcisant, ont assis leur souveraineté.

Alejándose de la vista inocente y contemplativa, los autores del libro proponen desde sus contribuciones, situar la función social de las imágenes en el centro de sus análisis de caso, los cuales abarcan un amplio conjunto de procesos latinoamericanos ocurridos entre los siglos XIX y XXI en países como Chile, Brasil, Perú, Colombia y Argentina. It is a commitment to work with, in and from the communities, which is related to one of the objectives sought, which is to understand interculturality from the grassroots. It is an enjoyable read and I consider that it can be a contribution both to continue with the research presented and to generate much more participatory and collaborative methodologies in the field, breaking with the classic Eurocentric object-subject visions. On the other hand, the degree of commitment that can be seen in several chapters can serve as motivation for social scientists who are beginning in the field (ELEDER PIÑEIRO).

    Description: The court and court society in the Hispanic world (16th-18th centuries): The courtly world has emerged as a propitious intellectual and historiographical space for thinking and writing the history of early modernity. Ever since the renewal of the so-called ‘political history,’ but also after the perspective of cultural studies, the courtly has become the privileged scenario for the study of the political society of the Modern Age, starting from the analysis of the formation of the different social actors’ different political identities in dispute, as well as the tracking of hidden interests in decision-making in order to understand power groups or networks. Similarly, the courtly cannot but be thought of as that singular scenario and/or space of conjunction and indistinction between the political (public) and the economic (private), as well as a locus of identity formation and dispute. In this sense, the study of the Ancien Régime societies cannot ignore the courtly, which is a key element for understanding and analyzing one of the articulating elements of the globality of the European monarchies, particularly the Hispanic monarchy. As this work describes, this global perspective allows us to understand the importance and imprint of the courtly in America. Therefore, the aim is to analyze and understand the court and the courtly world from multiple perspectives. The articles that make up this work problematize the courtly from different geographical spaces, but above all from different intellectual concerns and preoccupations: princely and courtly education, the problem of the King’s favorite, the religious, the nobiliary, the place of the feminine in the court or, also, the materiality of the courtly texts and the materiality of the government of the monarchy from the court.

    Description: El mundo cortesano se ha erigido como un espacio intelectual e historiográfico propicio para pensar y escribir la historia de la primera modernidad. Desde la renovación de la denominada ‘historia política’, pero también desde los estudios culturales, lo cortesano ha devenido en el escenario privilegiado de estudio de la sociedad política de la Edad Moderna, partiendo de análisis de la conformación de las diferentes identidades políticas en disputa de los distintos actores sociales, como también del rastreo de intereses ocultos en las tomas de decisiones para comprender redes o grupos de poder. Asimismo, lo cortesano no puede dejar de pensarse como ese escenario y/o espacio singular de conjunción e indistinción entre lo político (público) y lo económico (privado), así como un locus de conformación y disputa identitaria. En este sentido, el estudio de las sociedades del Antiguo Régimen no puede obviar lo cortesano, máxima para comprender y analizar uno de los elementos articuladores de la globalidad de las monarquías europeas, singularmente de la monarquía hispánica. Esta perspectiva global nos permite comprender, como se realiza en esta obra, la importancia e impronta de lo cortesano en América. Por lo tanto, esta obra busca analizar y comprender la corte y el mundo cortesano desde múltiples perspectivas. Los artículos que conforman esta obra problematizan lo cortesano desde diversos espacios geográficos, pero sobre todo desde distintas inquietudes y preocupaciones intelectuales: la educación principesca y cortesana, el problema del valimiento, lo religioso, lo nobiliario, el lugar de lo femenino en la corte o, también, la materialidad de los textos cortesanos y la materialidad del gobierno de la monarquía desde la corte.

    Description: Il n’est pas toujours facile, pour les chercheurs et chercheuses comme pour les étudiant.e.s en Histoire ou Littérature antique, d’avoir accès aux préambules à l’élaboration d’un texte. La frustration qui en résulte est d’autant plus grande dans le cas de l’historiographie, où nous savons qu’un vaste travail de collecte, sélection et réappropriation des sources a présidé à la rédaction des œuvres qui nous sont parvenues. C’est à ces « coulisses » que cet ouvrage essaie d’accéder, par le moyen d’une comparaison originale et systématique de deux historiens romains contemporains, Tacite et Suétone. Abordées sur un pied d’égalité en ce qui concerne la démarche historiographique, leurs œuvres permettent en effet de lever une partie du voile sur ce qui relève, dans leur contenu, de l’influence des auteurs précédents ou de choix personnels, mais aussi des attentes du public du IIe siècle lorsqu’il s’agissait d’écrire sur les premiers empereurs. Sont dès lors étudiés d’un point de vue historiographique des épisodes aussi fameux que le séjour de Tibère à Capri ou l’incendie de Rome en 64, et abordés des thèmes comme la présence visible des deux auteurs dans leur texte, celle de leurs sources, la question des motifs repris et développés ou encore le rapport à la tradition antérieure sur les Julio-Claudiens et les trois « empereurs éphémères » qui succédèrent à Néron. Une meilleure connaissance du rapport des Romains à l’écriture de l’histoire et au passé devient ainsi également possible.

    Description: Considéré d’habitude comme le « père » de l’anarchisme français, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon entretient un rapport ambivalent avec la création littéraire. Il analyse ensuite les discours tenus dans ses quatre journaux sur les triomphes du roman-feuilleton, visant la conception d’un feuilleton révolutionnaire capable de diffuser auprès du lectorat populaire, par le biais de la fiction, les idées et les théories qui aideront à son affranchissement. Une présentation des romans-feuilletons parus dans les diverses incarnations du journal Le Peuple est suivie par une étude plus approfondie de l’un d’entre eux, le roman Le Mont Saint-Michel, qui narre les aventures d’un groupe de républicains lors du célèbre épisode de la barricade du cloître Saint-Merry, clou tragique de l’insurrection avortée de 1832. En este sentido, cuando las sociedades se transforman, se abren a la producción de formas singulares de vida y en ese sentido, los afectos empiezan a circular de otra forma, a agenciarse de manera que se producen otros objetos y efectos.

    Description: The World Health Organization -WHO- (2016, p.1) notes that, "Annually, more than 800,000 people take their own lives and many more attempt suicide. Each suicide is a tragedy that affects families, communities, and countries and has lasting effects for those close to the suicidal person." Suicidal behavior ranges from ideation in its different expressions, through threats, gestures and attempts, to the suicide itself. The presence of any of these indicators (ideation, threats, gestures and attempts) should be considered as a sign of high risk in the individual presenting them. The relationship between suicide and mental disorders is quite close, however, it does not mean that those who do not suffer from a mental disorder are exempt from this suicidal behavior, since there have been cases that occur impulsively as a response to a crisis that affects the ability to cope with the difficulties of life, such as economic problems, the breakup of sentimental or family relationships, or chronic pain and illness.

    Description: The first components of developmental psychology can perhaps be traced back to the social recognition of infancy and childhood. Many historians agree that this recognition came late. The French historian Philippe Ariès argues that in medieval society there was no room for childhood or the child as theoretical constructs. They would emerge in the course of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Thus, although a certain sensitivity towards childhood appeared between the 16th and 17th centuries, it would seem that it was only in the 18th century that the child became the object of concern for some thinkers, mostly philosophers and pedagogues. There are several authors who are referents and it is worthwhile to review them, even if only briefly. At the time, Rousseau (1712-1778), in his Emilium, proposes an education centered on the natural evolution of the child, in which he highlights his particularities and differences and places childhood as a necessary and fundamental stage for man. The pedagogue Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), sympathizes with some of Rousseau's ideas on the education of children and keeps a diary of his son's first two years, which becomes one of the first systematic observations that is assumed to be a precursor of observational methodology in early development. In line with the above, this text can only be understood as a first attempt, unfinished and open, to be continued. It is what the Anglos call a "text in progress", and that the ebook edition will allow us to reopen it without major difficulties. It is also, of course, an incitement to readers to complement it, discuss it or even controvert it. This is intended to be a living text and discussed within the community. It is possible that certain hypotheses about the facts found will give rise to controversy. A colleague warned that lightning will surely strike it as it is a provocative text. Let's hope so: as long as they are illuminating, it will have partially fulfilled its purpose. In any case, there remains a taste for scrutinizing our past more closely with a view to the future and not only to what could not be.

    Description: Los primeros componentes de la psicología del desarrollo tal vez puedan situarse a partir del reconocimiento social de la infancia y de la niñez. Muchos historiadores coinciden en afirmar que ese reconocimiento fue tardío. El historiador francés Philippe Ariès sostiene que en la sociedad medieval no había espacio para la infancia ni para el niño como constructos teóricos. Ellos emergerían en el transcurrir de los siglos XVII y XVIII.     Description: This book looks at the Hispanic monarchy in America through its ability to territorialize the spaces theoretically under its control. While the analysis confirms the central role played by the city, its novelty lies in the effort made to spatialize and contextualize the notions of territorialization and circulation. The Spanish Empire appears as an atomized urban archipelago, favoring the affirmation of original idiosyncratic poles captured through the polysemy of the term “caste”, often reduced to the global concept of “race” by historiography. On the contrary, this book demonstrates the importance of specific forms of experience in defining belonging, while highlighting the social construction of spaces revealed by the circulation of the idea of “caste”.

It begins its construction with a team of researchers from the Cognition and Representational Development Group of the Research Center of the Universidad del Valle, which articulates several groups such as the Research Group on Evaluation and Quality of Education (Giece); the Education Group, the Cognitive Development, Learning and Teaching Group, and the Cognition and Education Group. Likewise, the three doctoral programs in psychology in the region participate in its elaboration: Universidad del Valle, Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali. In the first one, the authors were trained and learned that nonlinear dynamical systems can be a conceptual and methodological way to approach the study of cognitive development. The different works that make up the chapters of the book are ascribed to nonlinear dynamical systems, which offer an innovative conceptualization for thinking about developmental psychology in general and cognitive development in particular. This pioneering and committed task of the group materializes in significant advances in the use of methodologies more in line with the conceptual principles assumed.

Inicia su construcción con un equipo de investigadores del Grupo Cognición y Desarrollo Representacional, del Centro de Investigaciones de la Universidad del Valle, que articula diversos grupos tales como el Grupo de Investigación en Evaluación y Calidad de la Educación (Giece); el Grupo Educación, el Grupo Desarrollo Cognitivo, Aprendizaje y Enseñanza, y el Grupo Cognición y Educación. Así mismo, en su preparación involucra los tres programas de doctorado en psicología de la región: el de la Universidad del Valle, el de la Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali y el de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali. En el primero de ellos se formaron los autores y aprendieron que los sistemas dinámicos no lineales pueden ser un camino conceptual y metodológico para abordar el estudio del desarrollo cognitivo. Los distintos trabajos que conforman los capítulos del libro se adscriben a los sistemas dinámicos no lineales, que ofrecen una conceptualización innovadora para pensar la psicología del desarrollo en general y el desarrollo cognitivo en particular. Esta tarea pionera y comprometida del grupo, se concreta en avances significativos en el uso de metodologías más acordes con los principios conceptuales asumidos.

    Description: The history of Montbeliard began in the late 9th century with the construction of a castle on a rocky spur overlooking the Allan and the Lizaine rivers. The city developed as a result of contact with both Burgundian and Germanic culture and by the end of the 14th century had become a commercial and religious centre. The second defensive wall, built in the 15th century is a reflection of the city’s prosperity, encircling as it does the original castle, through as well as the two districts of La Halle and Saint-Martin. Excavation work undertaken in 1993-1994 prior to the construction of a shopping centre in the Velotte quarter of the Saint-Martin district has enabled archeologists to define seven build periods of architectural development covering both buildings and the urban defense system. This work has also shed light on various aspects of daily and social life as experienced by the inhabitants of this area within the city walls the bucolic character of which remained intact up to the final quarter of the 19th century.

    Description: De acuerdo a leyendas incaicas, a Inicios de los años 1400 hubo una batalla en las afueras del Cusco que cambió el curso de la historia sudamericana. Los chancas, un poderoso grupo étnico de la región de Andahuaytas, habían comenzado un agresivo plan de expansión. Habiendo ya conquistado pequeñas entidades políticas, su ejército habia penetrado profundamente en el territorio de sus tradicionales rivales, los incas. Mediante una serie de maniobras inusuales, los incas derrotaron a las fuerzas invasores chancas y llegaron a transformarse en el grupo más poderoso de los Andes. Muchos investigadores creen quo la derrota do los chancas representa un momento crítico en la histona de Sudamérica, ya que los incas luego continuaron su expansión, estableciendo el más extenso imperio do América. A pesar de la relevancia que habría tenido para la historia sudamericana, hasta hace unos años, el núcleo territorial Chanca había permanecido inexplorado. Consecuentemente, los procesos culturales conducentes al rápido desarrollo de este grupo y la posterior derrota de los mismos a manos de los incas tampoco habían sido investigados. Entre 2001 y 2004, Brian S. Bauer y su equipo de investigación realizaron una prospección arqueológica en la región de Andahuaylas. Este proyecto constituyó una oportunidad sin precedentes para examinar problemas teóricos relativos a la historia y al desarrollo cultural de las sociedades prehispánicas tardías de esta región de los Andes. El libro derivado de dichos trabajos presenta un análisis arqueológico sobre el desarrollo do los chancas y examina su derrota final frente a los incas.

    Description: Soigner les pauvres, telle est la vocation de milliers de jeunes femmes qui, tout au long du xixe siècle, prennent le voile en France et concrétisent ainsi un désir de vie religieuse et de service. Cet engagement ouvre aux femmes des voies pour s’affirmer hors de la famille, dans l’espace public et le monde du travail. Infirmières ou pharmaciennes, responsables de services d’hôpitaux et d’hospices, ou gardes-malades à domicile, ce sont les « bonnes » sœurs du xixe siècle. Figures de la charité, elles sont aussi les chevilles ouvrières du système public de santé dont elles accompagnent la médicalisation. Dans une société confrontée à une nouvelle pauvreté massive et alors que l’Église catholique s’inquiète de la déchristianisation populaire, les sœurs soignantes répondent aux attentes sociales et sanitaires, religieuses et morales de leur temps. La laïcisation républicaine signe-t-elle leur disparition ? Rien n’est moins sûr à en regarder leur présence dans Paris au début du xxe siècle. S’appuyant sur de nombreuses archives des couvents et des institutions hospitalières, cette enquête questionne la vocation des sœurs soignantes dans leur quotidien auprès des pauvres de la capitale. Elle propose une histoire du care qui éclaire les enjeux profanes et spirituels de la relation de soin.

    Description: Les paysages de l'Ouest de la France connaissent aujourd'hui une évolution rapide. Du Maine à l'Anjou et à la Bretagne, si l'on peut voir beaucoup d'arbres, il n'est pas sûr que l'on puisse encore observer un vrai bocage ! Le bocage a perdu le lien qu'il avait depuis son origine avec l'activité agricole : il reste une composante du paysage rural mais il n'est plus le cadre nécessaire du travail des agriculteurs. C'est la modification la plus importante qu'il ait connu depuis sa création. Le bocage n'est pas un milieu naturel : c'est un paysage construit ; il n'est pas là de toute éternité, mais il a été fabriqué et entretenu par des générations d'agriculteurs qui avaient besoin de haies pour pratiquer à la fois la culture et le pâturage.     Description: El Bolsón es conocido internacionalmente como un pueblo paradisíaco, bucólico, mágico y natural, algo que, ante todo, favorece al mercado turístico e inmobiliario, que motoriza la economía local. Las disputas sociales y políticas que se expresan en el espacio público son presentadas como conflictos traídos desde afuera que amenazan la armonía reinante. Sin embargo, su historia está marcada por la conflictividad y la estigmatización sucesiva de diversas otredades, y esto configura la trama de relaciones de poder, las experiencias de los sujetos y los modos de representarlas. Amparada en el relativo aislamiento geográfico, esta narrativa insiste en la ajenidad del pueblo a los convulsionados años setenta. Frente a ello, esta investigación expone la dimensión y las modalidades que efectivamente revistió la represión política en El Bolsón entre 1974 y 1983, así como las memorias que circularon localmente en momentos claves de la lucha por los derechos humanos hasta el año 2012, cuando fue creado el primer sitio de memoria sobre la expresión local de la última dictadura.

Blanche, who organised the network, instigated secret activities: prisoner escapes, false IDs, crossing the demarcation line, secret services, and helping Jews. The network counted more than 300 members in 1942. A woman, a family, a district. How and why did the French enter the Resistance in the summer of 1940? How did a secret organisation operate at the beginning of this movement? Why was the Grenier-Godard network forgotten after being honoured and rewarded? These are the questions this monograph addresses so that the Dijon network can be rescued from the oblivion of history.

    Description: La République des castors : c’est ainsi que Montesquieu, d’après un témoignage de Pierre Daru, appelait Venise. Qu’entendait-il, au juste, par là ? La ténacité, certes, avec laquelle les habitants de la lagune avaient fait surgir de l’eau la « ville la plus triomphante » du monde, mais sa précarité aussi, qui pouvait à chaque instant la mettre en butte aux convoitises des hommes et à l’usure du temps. Ainsi, en un jour, le 12 mai 1797, la vague napoléonienne devait emporter la vieille République qui avait résisté pendant un millénaire à toutes les menaces, à tous les dangers. C’est autour de cet événement – situé comme « épisode » dans ses tenants et aboutissants immédiats, mais aussi dans une ligne de « tendance » séculaire –, et pour en commémorer l’anniversaire, que ce recueil est organisé. Il ne s’agit pas d’un livre, qui viendrait s’ajouter à l’immense bibliographie sur l’histoire de Venise, mais plutôt d’un guide pour ce qui, dans cette histoire, a fait et fait encore problème : le « mythe politique », le statut des « citoyens », les querelles théâtrales, les circonstances de la chute, les débats et controverses dont la République fut l’objet après 1797, et tout au long du XIXe siècle. Si deux légendes ont fleuri autour de Venise et de son histoire, une légende dorée et une légende noire, ce recueil, en déroulant un fil continu entre les deux, tente de montrer comment l’une ne fut que le reflet inversé de l’autre. C’est ce qui fait, au fond, la singularité de Venise dans l’histoire européenne.

The question of the autonomy and independence of wives in Western societies, which have long been patriarchal, is therefore at the heart of this book. Indeed, the departure of men, whether they are at war, at sea or elsewhere, offers the possibility of partially bypassing the “silences of history” with regard to women and of observing them, on a daily basis, in their confrontation with the absence of the other. Global history of the Collège de France, 19th-20th century”. This research program and the series associated with it examines the genesis of scientific and literary fields of knowledge, their mapping and their evolution during the 19th and 20th centuries, on both national and international levels, from the standpoint afforded by the history of the renewal of academic chairs at the Collège de France. “Dieu” is, to be sure, not a new 19th discipline, or a “founder of discursivity”, as Foucault called the scholars who had invented not only new discourses, but, more broadly, discursive continents, new “épistemes”. Au prix d’un patient travail de contextualisation, les auteurs apportent des éléments nouveaux sur ses usages par les réguliers comme par leurs bienfaiteurs. Ils posent ainsi de précieux jalons pour que s’écrive un jour l’histoire longue de cette pratique religieuse combinant marché du salut et solidarité chrétienne face à l’inéluctable défi de l’au-delà.

    Description: The study of fortified hilltop settlements is one of the most important topics in territorial and settlement archaeology, especially for the Metal Ages, Late Antiquity, and the Early Middle Ages. Nevertheless, the long-term dynamics of hilltop settlements is still poorly understood, both in terms of intra-site dynamics as well as at a territorial scale. This is the major original focus of the one-day workshop held on November 12, 2019, by the research team "Fabrique du Paysage" of the UMR ARTEHIS, resulting in the contributions presented in this publication. The comparative approach between Protohistory and the Early Middle Ages, beyond a confrontation of settlement modes and the analysis of the spatial patterns shared by the two periods, is also intended to be methodological, with the main objective of establishing the first steps for a durable dialogue amongst experts. Through six contributions presenting the results of investigations on sites located in the Auvergne, the Vosges, and the present-day Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, this publication explores new perspectives and recommends increased collaboration between specialists of the two main chronological fields. Ultimately, this study constitutes a preliminary contribution, encouraging the renewal of initiatives to increase our understanding of the relationships between long-term settlement dynamics and landscape evolution.

    Description: The writing of this text is based on the interest in elucidating the place of the subject in the field of science. The first challenge it assumes consists in situating the way in which science and medicine are linked, progressively giving rise to a particular mode of the physician's clinical work. This task requires identifying the type of science alluded to, as well as the type of medicine referred to; namely, that science arising from positivism and that medicine related to its principles. Having said this, what about the medical clinic? From there, the reflection on observation as a technique found within scientific medical practice comes to the surface and configures a particular relationship between medical knowledge, the physician as agent of this discourse and the patient. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the elucidation of the place of the subject in this structure of relationships, to show the relevance and validity of a clinical practice refounded by Freud on principles decentered from positivism. It is a different framework of thought, the psychoanalytic one, which proposes a clinical practice guided by listening to this subjective discomfort not (yet) conquered by nosological language and which entails psychic suffering.

    Description: La escritura del presente texto se sostiene en el interés de dilucidar el lugar del sujeto en el campo de la ciencia. El primer desafío que asume es situar el modo en que ciencia y medicina se enlazan, dando lugar de manera progresiva a un modo particular del quehacer clínico del médico. Esta tarea requiere significar el tipo de ciencia a la cual se alude así como también el tipo de medicina a la cual se hace referencia; a saber, aquella ciencia que surge del positivismo y aquella medicina emparentada con sus principios. Dicho esto ¿qué ocurre con la clínica médica? A partir de allí, se pone sobre la superficie la reflexión sobre la observación en tanto técnica que se halla en el seno de la práctica médica científica y configura una particular relación entre el saber médico, el médico en tanto que agente de ese discurso y el paciente. Aportar a la dilucidación del lugar del sujeto en esa estructura de relaciones, es la apuesta del presente trabajo que tiene como fin mostrar la pertinencia y vigencia de una práctica clínica refundada por Freud sobre principios descentrados del positivismo. Se trata de un marco de pensamiento distinto, el psicoanalítico, que propone una práctica clínica guiada por la escucha de aquel malestar subjetivo no conquistado (aún) por el lenguaje nosológico y que trae consigo un sufrimiento psíquico.

    Description: The book is based on the experience of the implementation of the proposal for the exercise of citizenship of people with hearing disabilities as a form of social inclusion, selected at national level in the framework of the second call of the Social Service Program in Higher Education, carried out by the Ministry of National Education and the Colombian Association of Universities (Ascun). This work, carried out jointly by the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad de San Buenaventura, Cali, and the Asociación de Sordos del Valle (Asorval), between August and December 2010, had the participation of fifteen sixth semester students, three seventh semester students, four ninth semester students and one tenth semester psychology student; and twenty-six young people from Asorval. The purpose of this text is to sensitize listeners about the implications of living in a city when one is deaf, which implies the problems of those who face this situation in their daily lives, but also the strengths and actions they develop to change it. For this purpose, the voices of the young participants of this project are rescued, taking as a reference what they wanted to show to the hearing community.

Este trabajo, realizado conjuntamente por la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de San Buenaventura, sede Cali, y la Asociación de Sordos del Valle (Asorval), entre agosto y diciembre de 2010, contó con la participación de quince estudiantes de sexto semestre, tres de séptimo, cuatro de noveno y uno de décimo semestre de psicología; y veintiséis jóvenes de Asorval. El propósito de este texto es sensibilizar a los oyentes sobre las implicaciones de vivir en una ciudad cuando se es sordo, lo que implica los problemas de quienes enfrentan esta situación en su vida cotidiana, pero también las fortalezas y acciones que desarrollan para cambiarla. Para ello, se rescatan las voces de los jóvenes participantes de este proyecto, tomando como referencia lo que ellos quisieron mostrar a la comunidad oyente.

    Description: L’œuvre écrite de ʿAbd al-Raʾūf al-Munāwī (m. 1622) est l’une des plus riches et des plus importantes du xie/xviie siècle en langue arabe. Il s’intéressa à toutes les sciences islamiques de son époque. À ce titre, il incarne parfaitement l’idéal d’encyclopédisme et de polygraphie que l’Égypte ottomane a hérité de son époque mamelouke. Tout en étant l’héritier de nombreux savants marqués par le soufisme, al-Munāwī a su proposer des vues en nette rupture avec le consensus. Ce faisant, il est amené à tenter une réhabilitation d’Ibn Sīnā et d’Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Būnī. Les écrits d’al-Munāwī constituent une excellente illustration de la convergence du soufisme et du Hadith qui fut amorcée durant la période mamelouke et s’amplifia au début de l’époque ottomane. Reprenant la tradition de l’herméneutique soufie du Hadith, al-Munāwī l’enrichit d’apports importants comme ceux d’al-Ġazālī et d’Ibn ʿArabī. Il donne ainsi à cette tradition une ampleur rarement égalée.

    Description: This book analyses the social relations between the Malvezzi lineage and the College of Spain in Bologna. The apparently strange symbiosis between a family of the urban oligarchy and a secular university college can be explained in the context of the creation of factions favourable to the Houses of Austria and Valois, which polarised Italian political life. Thus, the college, which participated in the administrative structures of the monarchy, became part of a Hispanophile circuit created in Bologna and led by the Malvezzi family. The aim of these affinity networks was the social promotion of their male leaders through political and military service to the Spanish monarchs. From the precedents in the kingdom of Naples, we move on to the articulation of a philo-Habsburg party in Bologna that extended its influence beyond the city, and which counted on the College of Spain and several of its collegiates throughout the 16th century. In this way, the foundations of the Malvezzi's local power are integrated into the Italian philo-Spanish networks, combining the urban, regional and international scales. A study that relies on Network Analysis in order to properly interpret the involvement of the college and the personal interests of each of the Italian leaders involved. Finally, it addresses questions related to symbolic capital, attempting to unravel the fundamental points of the hispanophilic narrative elaborated by the Malvezzi family and the collaboration of the College of Spain in this ideological enterprise. This contribution not only broadens our knowledge of the phenomenon of philo-Spanish factions in Renaissance Italy, but also allows us to interpret the role played by a university college in a city where, unlike Rome, Naples or Milan, there were no centres of reference for the Spanish Monarchy.

La aparentemente extraña simbiosis entre una familia de la oligarquía urbana y un colegio secular universitario se explica en el contexto de creación de facciones favorables a las Casas de Austria y de Valois, que polarizaron la vida política italiana. Así, el colegio, partícipe de las estructuras administrativas de la monarquía, se incorporó a un circuito hispanófilo creado en Bolonia y liderado precisamente por la familia Malvezzi. El objetivo de estas redes de afinidad era la promoción social de sus líderes masculinos a través del servicio político y militar a los monarcas españoles. Desde los precedentes en el reino de Nápoles, se avanza hacia la articulación de un partido filo-Habsburgo en Bolonia que extendió su influencia más allá de la ciudad, y que contó con el Colegio de España y con varios de sus colegiales a lo largo del siglo XVI. De esta forma, se integran los fundamentos del poder local de los Malvezzi dentro de las redes filoespañolas italianas, combinando las escalas urbana, regional e internacional. Un estudio que se apoya en el Análisis de Redes para poder interpretar adecuadamente la participación del colegio y los intereses personales de cada uno de los líderes italianos involucrados. Por último, se abordan las cuestiones relativas al capital simbólico, tratando de desgranar los puntos fundamentales del relato hispanófilo elaborado por la familia Malvezzi y la colaboración del Colegio de España en dicha empresa ideológica. Esta contribución no solo amplía el conocimiento del fenómeno de las facciones filoespañolas en la Italia del Renacimiento, sino que también permite interpretar el rol que jugó un colegio universitario en una ciudad en la que, a diferencia de Roma, Nápoles o Milán, no había centros de referencia de la Monarquía Hispánica.

    Description: El Partido Socialista Popular ha sido poco explorado en contraste con su relevancia en la historia del socialismo en la Argentina en las últimas décadas. Este libro reconstruye su trayectoria desde su fundación en 1972 hasta las vísperas del retorno a la democracia en 1982 atendiendo diferentes aspectos y nudos problemáticos. El libro se centra, tras presentar las disputas historiográficas en torno a la historia del socialismo argentino y su repercusión en las querellas políticas, en tres cuestiones fundamentales: los orígenes del PSP y las características de los cuatro agrupamientos que confluyeron en esta formación política (el Partido Socialista Argentino, el Movimiento de Acción Popular Argentino, Militancia Popular y el Grupo Evolución); el modelo organizativo que adoptó y las especificidades de la puesta en práctica del centralismo democrático; y, por último, las peculiaridades identitarias del socialismo popular, de qué manera se distinguió de otras organizaciones con las que guardaba cierta afinidad y el modo específico en que articuló tres tradiciones políticas de las que abrevaba. El PSP fue un heredero legítimo de la tradición socialista argentina y sus expresiones partidarias, pero implicó una serie de discontinuidades significativas en sus elencos dirigentes, su funcionamiento y su configuración identitaria. Es por eso que, entre cambios y continuidades, el PSP fue un nuevo partido para el viejo socialismo.

    Description: Ēwosṭātēwos (Eustathe sous forme francisée) fut à l’origine de la fondation de plusieurs monastères dans le premier tiers du xive siècle au nord du royaume chrétien d’Éthiopie. Outre le plaidoyer pour l’indépendance des moines à l’égard des laïcs, Ēwosṭātēwos prônait la stricte observance des deux sabbats, samedi et dimanche, une doctrine jugée hérétique par le souverain et le métropolite égyptien, qui dirigeait l’Église éthiopienne. Les disciples d’Ēwosṭātēwos, les eustathéens, furent mis alors au ban de la société chrétienne dès la seconde moitié du XIVe siècle. Malgré les persécutions, les eustathéens multiplièrent les fondations au nord du royaume, contribuant à la diffusion de leurs idées et fragilisant l’unité de l’Église éthiopienne. Au milieu du XVe siècle, à la faveur du succès rencontré par le respect des deux sabbats, les eustathéens parvinrent à faire triompher leurs positions auprès du roi Zarʾa Yāʿeqob, et devinrent dès lors les précieux alliés du pouvoir royal. Comment expliquer la trajectoire étonnante du mouvement fondé par Ēwosṭātēwos? Cet ouvrage cherche à la fois à comprendre l’expansion paradoxale des premières communautés eustathéennes et les significations de l’hétérodoxie dans la société de l’Éthiopie médiévale. En s’appuyant sur l’analyse des récits des origines et des archives croisée à des enquêtes de terrain, cette enquête démontre que les eustathéens ont su mobiliser de multiples stratégies pour s’implanter au nord du royaume. Ce livre s’attache à montrer comment ces moines ont fait de l’écrit un puissant instrument d’affirmation et de défense face aux différents pouvoirs.

    Description: Pierre Uri (1911-1992), normalien, agrégé de philosophie et économiste, méritait que son parcours et sa contribution à la reconstruction de la France et à l’édification de l’Europe soient mieux connus. Collaborateur de François Perroux à la Libération, il rejoint Jean Monnet au Plan, où il dresse les premiers comptes de la Nation. Associé dès le début au Plan Schuman, il prend une large part à la négociation du traité de Paris puis dans sa mise en œuvre à la Ceca. Auteur du rapport Spaak, il joue un rôle décisif dans l’introduction du Marché commun à la conférence de Messine puis dans les négociations des traités de Rome qui instituent la CEE et l’Euratom. À partir de là, ses activités se multiplient : expert international, il est l’auteur de nombreux rapports pour la Commission européenne comme pour les Nations unies ; éditorialiste et essayiste, il a été aussi professeur à l’ENA, à l’université Paris Dauphine et membre du Conseil économique et social. Théoricien et homme d’action, soucieux d’égalité et de justice, Pierre Uri a été membre du Club Jean-Moulin puis du Parti socialiste. Après avoir conçu le programme fiscal de la CGT après la guerre, il a multiplié les projets pour réformer la fiscalité en France comme en Europe et inspiré de nombreux programmes politiques. Couvrant quatre décennies, l’action de ce fondateur de l’Europe est retracée dans ce volume où sont publiés les actes du colloque qui lui a été consacré en novembre 2021 à l’occasion du 110e anniversaire de sa naissance.

Par désir de reconnaissance d’une personnalité juridique et politique en tant qu’universitas, leurs gouvernements se sont dotés d’attributs matériels : maison commune, arca communis, écrits communaux, sceaux, clefs, bannières, cloches… Ces marqueurs des libertés municipales, qui forment un véritable bric-à-brac au sein de l’hôtel de ville, sont des outils d’exercice quotidien du pouvoir local, comme des moyens de représentation et de communication politiques ; à ce titre, ils constituent des pièces maîtresses de la « mise en signes » de l’autorité communale, véhiculant un message symbolique, pensé comme un manifeste de l’identité singulière de la ville. Abordés jusqu’alors en filigrane par l’historiographie, ces supports matériels du gouvernement urbain sont ici placés comme objet central d’une réflexion qui a fait le pari de leur historicité et a voulu privilégier une démarche systémique et comparative, entre catégories d’attributs comme entre villes du Midi de la France, de l’Aquitaine à la Provence, dans les derniers siècles du Moyen Âge. Produit de deux journées d’études, l’ouvrage, qui réunit douze communications, propose ainsi un premier bilan sur ces attributs qu’il remet en lumière en promouvant une histoire du sensible.

Cette présence de la révolution dans le champ culturel contemporain nous enjoint à reprendre une question posée il y a près d’un siècle par Léon Trotsky, à savoir : comment penser les rapports entre littérature et révolution ? De Jack London au Comité invisible, en passant entre autres par Alfred Döblin, Louis Aragon, Jean Genet et Pierre Michon, cet ouvrage interroge la manière dont les révolutions politiques (réelles ou imaginées, passées ou projetées) ont suscité des configurations et des questionnements esthétiques depuis le début du xxe siècle. Quelles relations entretiennent, dans ces textes, le poétique et le politique ? L’écrivain et le révolutionnaire ? La fiction et l’action ? Aux différentes contributions qui esquissent des réponses à ces interrogations s’ajoutent trois entretiens avec des écrivains (Arno Bertina, Leslie Kaplan, Nathalie Quintane) dont l’œuvre littéraire trame à nouveaux frais la question politique.

    Description: « Les douleurs d’hommes sont muettes » écrit le comité de rédaction de la revue Maintenir, revue de l’Amicale des anciens des Stalags XVIII, en évoquant le destin tragique des prisonniers de guerre français de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Gaston Duplat – PG matricule 2677 détenu du 23 juin 1940 au 7 mai 1945 au camp de Coëtquidan (Morbihan), puis au Fronstalag 183 de Vannes, enfin au Stalag XVIII C de Markt Pongau (Autriche) – resta lui aussi pudique sur son histoire : un long silence jamais rompu. Un silence, mais deux carnets de captivité, plus de trois cents lettres, deux albums photographiques et un herbier annoté retrouvés dans les archives familiales après son décès et celui de son épouse. Ces documents furent le point de départ d’une longue enquête sur la vie de cette famille brutalement et durablement touchée par la guerre et la captivité du père. Essayer de reconstituer la vie de cette famille et de la comprendre au travers de ses mots et des archives, s’intéresser à l’histoire de la Captivité, des Stalags et des Kommandos mais aussi se pencher sur une histoire singulière, évoquer le destin du prisonnier matricule 2677 mais aussi celui de son épouse et de ses enfants, voilà l’objet de cet ouvrage.

Alternating between the local and international levels, but also between the bottom and top levels of the organisation, this work is chronologically framed by the era of the Popular Front, a period of profound transformation of the French Communist Party. From the anti-fascist turning point in 1934 to the prohibition of the party in 1939, not to mention the strikes in 1936 and the Spanish Civil War, how did these communists live and fight, having become ambassadors of a mass party seeking respectability and balancing central injunctions with expectations among the base?

Et que le roi et ses guerriers étaient en armure de combat à 2 000 m d’altitude ? En 2019, des scientifiques et passionnés ont décidé de réitérer l’exploit. Non par pure performance, mais afin d’en mesurer les effets sur le corps et ainsi de mieux comprendre les conditions de traversée des montagnes par les armées de la Renaissance. Il a fallu pour cela faire fabriquer des armures, les endosser et les tester, sur le terrain comme en laboratoire, grâce à des technologies de pointe. En faisant dialoguer les disciplines, telles que l’histoire, la biomécanique, l’informatique et la physiologie, mais aussi des sportifs, associations et troupes de montagne, le projet MarchAlp a fait du corps armé une source d’information, de la montagne un laboratoire, d’une aventure scientifique une aventure humaine

An approach from psychodynamics and post-rationalism aims to address different typical themes such as bonding relationships, guilt, identity and narrative through a permanent dialogue between theory and casuistry. The book is composed of two parts: in the first part, psychodynamic theories are the frame of reference for the thematic and clinical approach; on the other hand, in the second part, understanding and discussion are constructed from a post-rationalist perspective. In turn, attachment theory is interwoven between the different chapters as a guideline for clinical understanding. Today, the clinician is in need of constant updating and of including a panoramic view in his or her gaze, since diagnostic accuracy not only requires uncovering what underlies, but also needs to see what clouds the obvious. This text seeks to broaden the understanding and reasoning of the different human manifestations in order to favor the diagnostic and integral process in the psychotherapeutic context, which, in addition, we hope will have an impact on the patient-therapist relationship and thus become study and consultation material for professional psychotherapists and psychotherapists in training.

    Description: Ce livre porte sur l’architecture des cathédrales dans le royaume de France, tel que celui-ci existait aux Moyen Âge moyen et tardif. Il ne consiste cependant pas en une nouvelle étude sur l’évolution stylistique de l’art gothique. En tenant compte des degrés qui existaient alors entre les sièges épiscopaux – simples évêchés, archevêchés, primaties, voire sièges patriarcaux – l’ouvrage voudrait montrer que cette hiérarchie, bien oubliée depuis, se reflète souvent dans l’architecture des églises concernées, sans que cela puisse apparaître pour autant ni constant ni systématique. La compétition entre Sens et Paris, la place primordiale tenue par Reims ou bien encore l’apparent isolement architectural de Bourges avaient été remarqués déjà depuis longtemps. Cependant, d’autres réseaux d’influence peu ou pas mis en lumière sont ici révélés : le rôle de modèle joué par Cantorbéry y compris en France, la place à laquelle prétendit longtemps Dol sur la Bretagne, ou la compétition architecturale entre Bourges et Bordeaux sont sans doutes quelques uns des aspects les plus intéressants développés dans ces pages.

    Description: Au milieu du XIVe siècle, la commune de Florence, qui ne contrôlait jusqu'alors qu'un petit territoire au-delà des murs de la cité, le contado, réussit à assujettir les six principaux centres urbains voisins : Colle Valdelsa, San Gimignano, Prato, Pistoia, Volterra et San Miniato. Pour mener à bien cet assujettissement, le pouvoir florentin ne pouvait cependant se contenter d’une pure et simple conquête militaire : l’issue en aurait été non seulement incertaine mais surtout très difficile à consolider dans le temps. Car même s’ils n’avaient pas atteint l’importance démographique des grandes cités de la région, les centres convoités étaient parvenus à maintenir leur autonomie depuis plus d’un siècle. Ils avaient par conséquent développé une identité politique et culturelle propre, en vertu de laquelle ils auraient pu, une fois conquis, refuser la soumission et constituer partant des foyers permanents de révolte. D’où la nécessité pour les Florentins d’élaborer des instruments en mesure de légitimer leur domination et d’en assurer ainsi la pérennité. Quels furent les mécanismes explicites et implicites de cette entreprise de légitimation ? À partir d’une étude approfondie des actes juridiques qui formalisèrent la soumission et du discours produit sur celle-ci par les chroniques contemporaines, cet ouvrage en analyse les ressorts politiques et culturels. Il permet ainsi de comprendre comment et pourquoi cet assujettissement fut paradoxalement pensé comme la condition nécessaire au maintien de la libertas.

    Description: La emergencia y consolidación del movimiento de derechos humanos es un tema que, si bien ha sido abordado por múltiples memorias, no ha sido explorado con igual intensidad por la investigación histórica y mucho menos a nivel local-regional. Restan innumerables preguntas por responder porque la narrativa general sobre estos temas de la historia reciente de nuestro país aún está fuertemente sesgada por la lectura del contexto nacional en clave de la experiencia capitalina. En este trabajo se analiza el movimiento de derechos humanos en Rosario y su zona de influencia durante la última dictadura militar (1976-1983) y los primeros años de la democracia, a la vez que se buscan antecedentes en las experiencias de movilización social y las comisiones de solidaridad y defensa de los presos políticos que se formaron entre fines de los años sesenta y la antesala del golpe de Estado de 1976. El libro propone construir una genealogía de los repertorios de acción, estrategias de movilización y adquisición de recursos (humanos, organizativos, materiales) que llevaron adelante sus actores y organizaciones en todo el período analizado indagando sus particularidades regionales como sujeto colectivo y poniendo en diálogo su trayectoria sociohistórica con las experiencias pasadas y contemporáneas de otros espacios locales y provinciales; así, se identifican antecedentes, rupturas y continuidades.

This volume brings together articles prepared following a research program of the MSH of Montpellier and a congress held in November 2015. In short, how to get out of the labyrinth that imprisons Theseus, how to melt the thanatic aporia. Today a new jus-gentium based on the inalienable rights of the dignity of the person is being vigorously born under all the banners of the world. This global right of protection of the fundamental rights protected, the conventions and norms of the United Nations and of all the national and international courts, together with a new International Humanitarian Law, point the way back home, and from there all the prisoners of Circe are freed, from there they return home, which are none other than the bloody despotisms for which the last century and the beginning of this one will be known and repudiated, together with the genocide of entire populations, as attested by the cases of our International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda and other international and regional human rights forums. This new language exists. This task is also incumbent upon legal language, since the norm in its logical context of normative imputation refers to intersubjective conduct, as Giorgio Del Vecchio, the great Italian philosopher, had expressed decades ago. The inscription of the norm, the discrimination between what is permitted and what is forbidden, and its consequent legal metaphor, -in the author's expression following Legendre-, constructs human subjectivity, which can only be thought of as intersubjectivity Amelia has already started vigorously in that direction!

Hoy está naciendo vigorosamente un nuevo jus-gentium fundado en los derechos inalienables de la dignidad de la persona bajo todas las banderas del orbe. Ese derecho global de protección de los derechos fundamentales amparados, las convenciones y normas de las Naciones Unidas y de todos los tribunales nacionales e internacionales, junto a un nuevo Derecho Internacional Humanitario, señalan el camino de retorno al hogar, y desde allí se liberan, desde allí retornan a su hogar todos los prisioneros de Circe, que no son otra cosa que los despotismos sangrientos por los que la centuria pasada y los comienzos de esta, serán conocidos y repudiados, junto al genocidio de poblaciones enteras, como lo atestiguan los casos de nuestro Tribunal Penal Internacional para la ex-Yugoslavia y de Ruanda y demás foros internacionales y regionales de derechos humanos. Ese nuevo leguaje existe. Esta tarea también compete al lenguaje jurídico ya que la norma en su contexto lógico de imputación normativa refiere a la conducta intersubjetiva, como Giorgio Del Vecchio, el gran filósofo italiano, lo había expresado desde hace décadas. La inscripción de la norma, la discriminación entre lo permitido y lo prohibido, y su consecuente metáfora jurídica, –en expresión de la autora siguiendo a Legendre–, construye la subjetividad humana, que sólo se puede pensar como intersubjetividad ¡Amelia ya ha comenzado vigorosamente en esa dirección!

    Description: On ne s’attend pas à voir Georges Brassens en chef d’un chœur d’« enfants » d’Italiens. Même ses plus fervents admirateurs ignorent généralement qu’il était le fils d’une Italienne, comme il appelait affectueusement sa mère qu’il croyait, à tort d’ailleurs, napolitaine. Sans qu’il soit question de rechercher une hypothétique part d’italianité chez cet ennemi des porteurs de cocardes, le premier texte de ce recueil nous convie à une ballade dans l’univers familial, amical, musical, poétique et culinaire de Georges, qui se teinte, par touches tout de même assez nombreuses, de couleurs italiennes. Dans les récits et témoignages suivants, font entendre leur voix d’autres descendants d’Italiens pour évoquer, avec pour principale motivation le plaisir de l’échange et du partage, des souvenirs « italiens » de leur parcours familial. Le résultat est une partition à plusieurs voix et, dans ce chœur d’« enfants » d’Italiens, chaque parcours prend sa valeur grâce aux échos qui résonnent d’un témoignage à l’autre.

In sometimes delicate, sometimes down-to-earth language, they candidly discuss the running of the vineyards, the sex lives of the housemaids, their sensitivity to smells, their concerns about money or their relations with the neighbours in the farm or chateau next door. Men and women both escape from received gender roles, often far from traditional standards. Refusing to face the upheavals of the nineteenth century, they remain attached to an immutable past thus putting themselves in danger.     Description: Siguiendo un claro enfoque multidisciplinar, este libro presenta un balance historiográfico sobre la muerte de los príncipes en la Edad Media, tanto hispana como francesa, entendiendo el término «príncipes» en su sentido más amplio. No solo se examinan casos particulares relativos a los miembros de la familia regia, sino que se profundiza también en los diversos ámbitos de la aristocracia eclesiástica, militar y urbana. Desde la ritualización funeraria —liturgia, música—, la memoria cronística y documental, las obras de arte o su reflejo en la literatura, hasta la antropología física, los estudios presentados se enfocan a calibrar la relación de la muerte y su tratamiento con la imagen del poder que dichas élites proyectan y su emulación por parte de los restantes grupos sociales.

Ésta es aquí la gloria terrena y en el más allá la apoteosis. Lo que en el proemio es objeto de una deducción lógica se convierte en el Somnium en la revelación de una verdad eterna. La afirmación ciceroniana de que el hombre tiene un lugar eminente apunta necesariamente a la divina fundamentación del mundo. Y toda la actividad humana que le da un lugar eminente es una actividad de mediación. El Somnium pertenece al tipo de sueño oracular y admonitorio en el cual Cicerón preanuncia la gloria celestial para el gobernante virtuoso, pero las circunstancias en las que se desarrolla este sueño son particulares y no pertenece al ámbito de la adivinación.

    Description: Quels sont les mécanismes qui ont conduit le rejeton d’une famille de financiers « moyens » du Languedoc à devenir, en 1726, le principal ministre du jeune Louis XV ? Les causes à l’origine de cette réussite sont de plusieurs ordres. D’abord, le mouvement d’ensemble de tout un lignage qui plonge ses racines dans la marchandise du Lodévois depuis au moins le xvie siècle. Puis, le passage à la finance – le maniement des deniers du roi – qui s’effectue avec le grand-père du cardinal dans les premières années du xviie et surtout son oncle Pierre-Moïse, trésorier de France au bureau des finances de Montpellier. Ce dernier favorise la montée à Paris du jeune André-Hercule qui embrasse dès lors la carrière ecclésiastique. Les moteurs de l’ascension sont ensuite individuels et reposent sur le jeu des clientèles, avec en particulier le cardinal de Bonsy puis le cardinal de Noailles qui obtient de Louis XIV l’évêché de Fréjus (1698) pour son protégé. Tirant profit de ses appuis à la cour et de son ferme soutien en faveur de la bulle Unigenitus, mais sans complaisance vis-à-vis des jésuites, Fleury est désigné par Louis XIV mourant précepteur du futur Louis XV. Sa proximité avec le petit roi le positionne dès lors en personnalité majeure. Les décès de Dubois puis de Philippe d’Orléans le laissent seul face au duc de Bourbon (1723). Trois ans seulement vont suffire à M. de Fréjus pour éliminer ce rival. Cette maestria curiale vient clore une ascension complexe, mélange de collectif et de structurel, d’individuel et de conjoncturel : historique, en somme.

    Description: El presente trabajo es la transcripción paleográfica de un documento de comienzos del siglo XV conservado en el Archivo de la Catedral de Salamanca. Se trata de una pesquisa realizada por el racionero Alfonso González que tiene por objeto dejar constancia escrita de los bienes y derechos que poseía el Cabildo al momento de su redacción. A través de la declaración de los testigos en los 118 lugares visitados es posible conocer la fisonomía y los contornos del dominio señorial, las modalidades de gestión del patrimonio, los mecanismos de acumulación y los procesos de diferenciación social, la estructura de la propiedad de la tierra, etc. Se constituye, por tanto, en una pieza clave para el conocimiento de la historia económico-social del espacio salmantino durante la Baja Edad Media.

    Description: When writers document the life of a saint, they describe past events, they put them into a narrative context that serves to further their story and, at the same time, fit within a larger plan of salvation. Hagiography is therefore a form of historical writing, but it differs from that of chroniclers. The hagiographers of Late Antiquity sought to distinguish themselves from secular historians. However, their successors in the early Middle Ages were concerned with chronology and source comparison, leading to the development of scholarly techniques and ethical practices that closely align with those expected of historians. Consequently, their works shed new light on what the Middle Ages defined as history, while also revealing the historical culture and the way the Latin West shaped its understanding of the past through stories about saints.
