    Beschreibung: Depuis la fin du xxe siècle, un pan de la critique universitaire s’est montré soucieux d’offrir aux études francophones un soubassement épistémologique capable d’asseoir leur légitimité. Le présent ouvrage se situe résolument dans ce sillage. Son originalité tient sans doute à la contribution d’écrivains et d’étudiants conviés à participer à cet effort réflexif. Adoptant une composition polygraphe qui mêle articles scientifiques, essais et entretiens, ce livre esquisse un inventaire des concepts, pratiques et méthodes permettant d’appréhender les écritures francophones du xxie siècle commençant. Il fait ainsi surgir ou resurgir quelques grandes questions et met en relief certaines nécessités : reconsidérer le concept même de francophonie, inclure la variété de ses espaces et de ses corpus, mais aussi sortir les études francophones de leur confinement. Plus globalement, il s’agit d’élaborer de nouveaux cadres théoriques pour repenser l’espace, le temps et l’histoire littéraire.

    Beschreibung: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017. There are many topics which refer to three macro sessions: - Witnessing (signs and history) - Communicating (signs and semiotics) - Experimenting (signs and sciences) Thanks to the different points of view, an exceptional resource of our disciplinary area, we want to try to outline the prevailing theoretical-operational synergies, the collaborative lines of an instrumental nature, the recent updates of the repertoires of images that attest and nourish the relations among representation, history, semiotics, sciences.

    Beschreibung: Bijoux fantaisie, exotiques ou « ethniques » contre bijoux précieux, classiques, « de famille », les bijoux hier déclinés à tous les temps se conjuguent aujourd’hui à tous les modes au mépris des frontières spatiales et temporelles. C’est en partant de ce métissage moderne et pour approcher l'énigme de la fascination ou du rejet qu’ils suscitent que Patrizia Ciambelli s’est mise à l’écoute des paroles et des pratiques contemporaines. Loin de réduire les bijoux à la somme de leurs usages, à leur dimension historique ou esthétique d'objets précieux, l’ethnologue cherche à en capter les éclats fugaces entre la présence et l'absence, le secret et le dévoilement, l’oubli et le souvenir. Elle jette ici un pont entre présent et passé en éclairant tant les coutumes de jadis attachées à leur acquisition, à leur port, à leur conservation et à leur transmission que les manipulations et innovations actuelles, marques d’une volonté de rupture et de singularisation. Dans tous les cas, acheter un bijou, l’offrir, le vendre, le transformer, le perdre ou l’abandonner sont autant d’actes par lesquels un individu se pose comme personne et affiche la nature des relations qu’il entretient avec les autres. Du côté des femmes surtout, interlocutrices privilégiées en ce domaine, le « parler bijoux » a révélé, tout autant que les singuliers pouvoirs prêtés à ces objets, les manières dont ils scandent et ordonnent des parcours et des destins. Secrets de famille, indiscrètes révélations, amours et ruptures, comme les bijoux qui les signent, peuvent être montrés ou cachés, vrais ou faux, enfouis dans les mémoires comme dans des coffrets et s’en échapper lorsque la parole les entrouvre...

    Beschreibung: The art of printing with movable type made its appearance in Perugia -then as now, the heart of Italy- in 1471, when the city was under the sway of Braccio Baglioni. Perugia was home to an important university which had been attracting students from all over Europe for more than a century. They found hospitality in two colleges, of which the ‘Sapienza Vecchia’, in particular, was accustomed to accommodating students from abroad. The colleges were themselves instrumental in assisting the work of the earliest printers, all of them foreigners; their enterprise flourished for about fifteen years before strong competition from larger printing centres, notably Venice, took control of the Perugian book market. A second phase in local book production started at the turn of the century under the aegis of two major players, the Cartolari family and Bianchino dal Leone. The history of the book in Perugia is characterized by a quality and originality which is not reflected in the modest quantities produced there, and the major bibliographers have always taken an interest in it. All that and more can be found in this book, the outcome of lengthy research based on detailed analysis of all known editions and archival documents, including a number of new discoveries.

    Beschreibung: Depuis quelques années, le Brésil occupe une place de plus en plus importante sur la scène internationale en conséquence de grands changements socio-économiques – et plus particulièrement d’une réduction significative de la pauvreté et de l’inégalité des revenus. Cet ouvrage vise à présenter au public francophone, y compris au lecteur profane en matière de politique sociale brésilienne, la mise en place et l’évolution des différents programmes d’allocations sociales, dont le plus connu est la Bourse-Famille. L’analyse porte sur les caractéristiques de base de ces programmes, leurs formats, les changements conceptuels intervenus au cours du temps, le ciblage des bénéficiaires, les effets des allocations sur la composition du revenu des ménages ainsi que sur le déclin de la pauvreté et de l’inégalité. Enfin, l’accent est mis sur les défis à relever pour perfectionner cette politique des allocations afin de mieux protéger les enfants pauvres, la population la plus vulnérable actuellement.

    Beschreibung: Besides identifying plants used by men, charcoal analysis may also reconstruct the history of forests, based on the study of charcoal from domestic uses. The reliability of this discipline depends on the definition of rigourous methods, from the archaeological dig to the palaeoenvironmental interpretation, which is the subject of the tint part of this work.In part two, thirteen languedocian sites dating from the end of Prehistory to Antiquity are studied following this method. In the Languedoc region, the early balance between the mediterranean oak forest and human activities leads us to review the history of deforestation. It is only in the lion Age that permanent tree clearance on plains increases, maintained during the roman period, announcing perhaps the first permanent fields. The results of this study, combined with documentary sources, constitute a first synthesis on territory changes.

    Beschreibung: Mises en place en 1981, les zones d'éducation prioritaires (ZEP) font désormais partie du paysage éducatif français. Pourtant, on connaît encore mal les évolutions et les effets d'une politique fondée sur la prise en charge collective et décentralisée des problèmes éducatifs. L'analyse sociologique telle qu'elle est menée ici conduit à mettre 1 accent sur les conditions locales qui favorisent ou qui freinent 1 investissement scolaire des parents, des enseignants et de nouveaux acteurs du champ éducatif : élus, animateurs, bénévoles... A travers une approche ethnographique comparative - une zone rurale et une zone urbaine sont étudiées parallèlement - qui se nourrit des apports des travaux anglo-saxons, l'auteur présente une réflexion nouvelle sur le rôle des dynamiques locales dans la reproduction et dans la transformation du système éducatif.

    Beschreibung: Souterrains have in the past been the object of both varied and fanciful inter­pretations. Considered at different times to be places of refuge or worship, they have been attribued to periods ranging from pre-history to the French Revolu­tion. The present study, first written as a doctoral thesis, examines94 souterrains in the Limousin region and analyses their geographical and historical significance. Research has included excavation of the Bois-du-Mont souterrain at Bessines-sur-Gartempe in the Haute-Vienne depart­ment. The result of the study proves that these underground chambers are related to rural settlement during IXth to XIIIth centuries. Archaeology provides firm evidence for when these structures were tunnelled, occupied and abandoned. The disciplined methodological approach of this work is exemplary in a field where scientific analysis has so far been vir­tually non-existent.

    Beschreibung: Situated in the North of France, Bettencourt-Saint- Ouen is an open-air Middle Palaeolithic site, most probably used as a hunters’ stopping place. Five successive phases of occupation have been excavated, covering a period of 40.000 years Study of the site has revealed fondamental data lot our understanding of human occupation, as well as important informations on environmental changes to the site during the final glacial period (from the Eemian Interglacial to the lower Weichselian Pleniglacial). Distribution of finds at Bettencourt, coupled with the technology and typology of the site’s lithic industries, point to a continuity in systems of production and cultural traditions from 112,000 to 68,000 BP.
