    Description: Este libro es fruto de una línea de investigación sobre la historia del derecho indiano. Su objeto es la Colección Documental de don Benito de la Mata Linares, oidor, regente y consejero de Indias, que se encuentra en la Biblioteca de la Real Academia de la Historia. El propósito del autor es observar la Colección bajo la lupa científica del derecho indiano y no acceder a ella meramente como una cantera documental de carácter histórico –que lo es y, por cierto, riquísima–, que ya había consultado con provecho en anteriores visitas. La primera parte del libro está dedicada a trazar un esbozo biográfico de Mata Linares, que amplía sensiblemente los datos ofrecidos hasta ahora por los historiadores que han dado a conocer piezas documentales de la Colección o por los diccionarios u obras relativas a los órganos de gobierno y justicia en donde se desempeñó. En la segunda parte se hace un examen de la Colección, que permite comprobar que ella, considerada habitualmente como una fuente documental ofrecida para los Investigadores de Historia de América y derivada del empeño de un erudito coleccionista, se formó, en cambio, por la acción de un jurista que reunió esos papeles para uso propio durante su labor profesional al servicio de la Corona. De ahí proviene la denominación de “taller del jurista”, título de este libro que destaca el sentido que tuvo la formación de este conjunto documental y también el valor de estos papeles como fuente de estudio para la historia del derecho. Desde este último punto de vista, se rescata para los estudiosos de la historia jurídica el uso de un conjunto documental singular, ya que no es frecuente para los historiadores el acceso directo e integral a los papeles que hicieron parte del gabinete de un jurista. Con la experiencia adquirida en la indagación realizada, el autor se permite afirmar el enorme valor que tienen los archivos profesionales de este género, al aproximarnos a verificar el papel del jurista en la configuración del Derecho –creación, interpretación, adaptación, transmisión, aplicación, etc.– y a conocer el delicado perfil de “la modulación jurídica” que lo caracteriza.

The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

Men der noen ser en grenseløs ny offentlighet preget av hets og sjikane, ser andre et knugende meningsklima der det straffer seg å gå mot strømmen. Og der noen hyller de nye mediene for å slippe nye stemmer til, tviler andre på at en meningsfylt samtale er mulig i dagens algoritmestyrte sosiale medier. Hvordan kan virkeligheten oppfattes så forskjellig? I denne boken undersøker forfatterne om disse motpolene har gjenklang i den norske befolkningen, eller om polariseringen er overdrevet.     Description: Hvordan utforskes naturen som gave i nordisk litteratur? I antropocen, menneskets tidsalder, blir spørsmålet om menneskets forhold til naturen aktualisert på nytt. Nettopp i en krisetid aktiveres religiøse forestillinger om apokalypse og skapelse, ånd og natur, og en rekke skjønnlitterære forfattere skriver frem naturskildringer preget av en grunnleggende ambivalens. I denne antologien finner du tolv bidrag som undersøker hvordan den nordiske litteraturen utforsker naturen som gave – og som kilde til ambivalens, nåde og skyld. Med et postsekulært utgangspunkt inviterer antologien forskere fra litteraturstudier og teologi til å undersøke ambivalente naturfremstillinger i den nordiske litteraturen. Kreativitet i akademisk skriving er ikke et tilvalg – å skrive i en kreativ modus ligger i kjernen av den vitenskapelige metoden i humanistisk forskning.     Description: The present book deals with an historical Castilian legal institution (tanteo comunal) that, in the modern age, allowed villages —by means of lawsuits brought to the royal council of Castile— to repurchase the offices related to their local government (regidores), previously privatized by the crown. In this regard, a survey has been carried on not only through the judicial practice of the time but also through the coeval legal doctrines (doctrina). “Derecho dominical y tanteo comunal” aims also to outline a comparison with more archaic actions (actiones populares) which were used, until then, by local communities against the usurpers of their own properties (bienes comunales), in order to obtain their restitution. To this regard, the results of this research highlight the strong relationship between the acciones populares and the tanteo comunal. However the institutional reforms, later undertaken by the crown, deeply affected local government and eventually eclipsed this particular legal institution.

    Description: La Real Biblioteca del Monasterio de El Escorial guarda miles de manuscritos sobre diversas materias. Este trabajo aborda el estudio de una decena aproximada de manuscritos castellanos medievales y modernos de contenido jurídico que, presuntamente, encierran unos proyectos recopiladores del siglo XVI impulsados por la corona. Muchas fueron las voces que durante el citado siglo reclamaron a los reyes la elaboración de una compilación jurídica que enmendase los errores que Alonso Díaz de Montalvo, consejero de los Reyes Católicos, había cometido en su recopilación. Y muchos son los testimonios que indican que esa labor reparadora se comenzó, se aplazó y se retomó durante los primeros años de la edad moderna. Es en esos manuscritos escurialenses en donde la autora ha buscado esos proyectos de compilación mencionados, en ellos se vislumbra la intervención de juristas muy importantes de la época como Lorenzo Gálindez de Carvajal, Ponce de León o Francisco de Espinosa.

Boken viser hvordan den norske samtidslitteraturen utforsker en rekke overganger og endringer som finner sted i alderdommen: fra pensjonisttilværelsen og det nye livet som beboer på sykehjem, til økende krav om «aktiv alderdom» og erfaringer med demens, svekket helse, sorg og ensomhet. Til tross for fellestrekkene mellom slike overganger påpeker Bjørkøy hvordan de litterære personene som gjennomlever dem, er forskjellige; alderdommen er ikke fremstilt som en ensartet fase i livet. På denne måten kan litteraturen bidra til å menneskeliggjøre fremfor å redusere det gamle mennesket.

    Description: This book aims to study the history of the University of Tortosa from its canonical erection in 1600 to 1717, when it was transferred to Cervera. Through four chapters the place of the University of Tortosa in the set of the Universities of the Crown of Aragon is studied, through the proposopography of rectors, lecturers and graduates. It was a Convent-University run by the Order of Preachers that exclusively taught Philosophy and Theology. The documentary appendix includes the Statutes of the Colegio de San Matías and San Jaime, the Statutes of the University, as well as the list of graduates that has been preserved for the periods 1600-1623 and 1659-1717. Among them, there are numerous regular and secular clergymen from Valencia, Catalonia, Aragon and Mallorca.---Este libro pretende estudiar la historia de la Universidad de Tortosa desde su erección canónica en 1600 hasta 1717, año en el que fue transferida a Cervera. A través de cuatro capítulos, se estudia el lugar de la Universidad de Tortosa en el conjunto de las Universidades de la Corona de Aragón, mediante la proposopografía de rectores, lectores y graduados.     Description: En esta obra, dedicada a explorar los significados del objeto científico educativo, se han contemplado diversos factores. Primero, se ha tenido en cuenta la influencia de las políticas educativas en el establecimiento de condiciones formales y materiales que permitieran la consolidación de un determinado modelo de enseñanza científico-técnica en España. Segundo, se ha examinado la influencia de la industria en las representaciones de la ciencia y de la técnica, las cuales circulaban junto con los instrumentos por diferentes países con patrones culturales análogos. A estos elementos se ha sumado otro que constituye el motivo central de la obra: el examen de las contribuciones y modificaciones que realizaban los educadores en los procesos de asimilación de esos objetos estandarizados en los centros. Así, para llevar a cabo una aproximación a estas aportaciones y a su dinámica se han analizado no solo elementos relativos al conocimiento explícito (los manuales y las instrucciones de manejo de los aparatos) sino de manera más atenta los que proporcionan evidencias sobre el conocimiento tácito y sobre las interacciones de los docentes con los materiales. A estas interpretaciones personales de los objetos científicos, dependientes de los contextos de trabajo, se unían los valores que los aparatos contribuían a transmitir mediante su uso o construcción: entre otros, la utilidad tecnológica y social de la ciencia, la existencia de estándares universales en el conocimiento de la naturaleza, la precisión, la objetividad y la creatividad.

    Description: This work compiles the doctoral theses presented at the Faculty of Law of the Central University of Madrid between 1847, the year in which the modern thesis was created in the Spanish university, and 1914, expanding this second edition with the records of the graduates who achieved the degree of doctor in this same faculty in the immediately preceding period, 1845 to 1847, and in which the presentation of a doctoral thesis was not yet required; therefore, the total number of records in this edition is increased to 3,092, compared to the 3,073 of the previous edition. The catalogue is arranged chronologically, which makes it easier for the researcher to sequence the evolution of an important part of the country's legal scientific production, and the research trends of the Faculty in the period studied. The catalogue is accompanied by an extensive introduction which studies the legislation governing doctorates in liberal Spain and the methodology followed in compiling the catalogue. It closes with several appendices that complement the study: a table of the teaching staff of the doctoral courses (by course and onomastic), a table of the syllabuses in force over the almost seventy years covered by the work, and a graph of the theses presented by year. The final index of graduates facilitates immediate consultation of the catalogue.

    Description: Este trabajo recopila las tesis doctorales presentadas en la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Central de Madrid entre los años 1847, año en que se crea en la universidad española la tesis moderna, y 1914, ampliando esta segunda edición con los registros de los graduandos que alcanzaron el grado de doctor en esta misma facultad en el periodo inmediatamente anterior, 1845 a 1847, y en el que todavía no se exigía la presentación de una tesis doctoral; por ello el número total de registros en esta edición se amplía a 3.092, frente a los 3.073 de la edición anterior. El catálogo está ordenado cronológicamente, lo que facilitará al investigador secuenciar la evolución de una parte importante de la producción científica jurídica del país, y las tendencias de investigación de la Facultad en el periodo estudiado. Al catálogo le acompaña una amplia introducción en la que se estudia la legislación del doctorado en la España liberal y la metodología seguida en la confección del catálogo. Se cierra con varios apéndices que complementan el estudio: cuadro del profesorado de los curso de doctorado (por curso y onomástico), tabla con los planes de estudios vigentes a lo largo de los casi setenta años que abarca el trabajo, gráfica de las tesis presentadas por año. El índice final de graduandos facilita la consulta inmediata del catálogo.

    Description: En 1764 se imprimió, en la ciudad italiana de Livorno, en forma anónima, la obra titulada Dei delitti e delle pene del noble milanés Cesare Beccaria (1738-1794). Con rapidez se sucedieron distintas ediciones y traducciones de este libro, en las que el autor fue añadiendo nuevos capítulos y realizó distintos cambios. La traducción española que aquí se ofrece en abierto procede de la quinta edición, asumida por Beccaria como la auténtica, quien redactó para ella una nueva advertencia Al lector, la Introducción y dos capítulos inéditos (Del fisco y Del perdón), alcanzándose así los 47 capítulos; además introdujo distintas correcciones, aclaraciones y rectificaciones, como la anotada en el capítulo 34. Desde su aparición se ha considerado como la obra fundacional del derecho penal moderno y por ello ha tenido un uso académico ininterrumpido hasta nuestros días.

    Description: In the year 1606, Gil González Dávila published one of the first books about the History of Salamanca. He spoke of the University as the "Republic of the wise men", a metaphor that described the importance of professors at that time. Precisely ‘The Republic of Sages. Professors, Chairs and University in the Salamanca of Golden Age’ is a monography that aims to draw the ins and outs of a group of intellectuals, the university professors, whose teaching life was developed at the time of greatest splendor of the Studio Salmanticensis. It is paradoxical that, despite having nurtured the international and timeless fame of the University of Salamanca, its faculty lacked a group study like the one now presented. Through historical research based on different sources and a double prosopographic and socioeconomic approach, the generation of professors between 1570 and 1600 is analyzed, although their projections are extended to other peninsular spaces and to a wider chronology, the reigns of Philipp II (1556-1598) and Philipp III (1598-1621). In short, this book seeks to explain the professor guild during the golden stage of the University of Salamanca, which, as alma mater, hosted and educated their children by providing the umbrella of a thriving institution. But, as in all families, relationships were not always harmonious; after all, although common features predominate, the stems are always different. In this sense, the faculty the University of Salamanca appears as a heterogeneous group that, however, is defined by its high academic background; a true "republic of wise men" whose diffuse voice in the past begins to be understood now.---En el año 1606, Gil González Dávila publicaba una de las primeras Historias de la ciudad de Salamanca. En ella hablaba de la Universidad como la “República de sabios”, una metáfora que describía la importancia del profesorado en ese momento. Precisamente La República de sabios. Profesores, cátedras y universidad en la Salamanca del siglo de Oro es una obra que pretende sacar los entresijos de un grupo de intelectuales, los profesores universitarios, cuyo desempeño docente se desarrolló en el momento de mayor esplendor del Estudio Salmantino. Resulta paradójico que, a pesar de haber nutrido la fama internacional y atemporal de la Universidad de Salamanca, su profesorado careciera de un estudio de grupo como el que ahora se presenta. A través de la investigación histórica basada en diferentes fuentes y un doble enfoque prosopográfico y socioeconómico, se analiza la generación de catedráticos entre 1570 y 1600, si bien sus proyecciones se amplían hacia otros espacios peninsulares y hacia una cronología más amplia, los reinados de Felipe II (1556-1598) y Felipe III (1598-1621). En definitiva, este libro pretende dar cuenta del gremio docente durante la etapa áurea de la Universidad de Salamanca, la cual, como alma mater, acogió y educó a sus hijos proporcionándoles el paraguas de una institución pujante. Pero, como en todas las familias, las relaciones no siempre eran armónicas; al fin y al cabo, aunque predominen unos rasgos comunes, los vástagos siempre son diferentes entre sí. En este sentido, el profesorado aparece como un grupo heterogéneo que, sin embargo, se define por su elevada formación académica; una verdadera “república de sabios” cuya voz difusa en otro tiempo comienza a entenderse ahora.

    Description: En 1875 la Real Academia de Ciencias Morales y Políticas convocó un concurso sobre el tema: “¿Convendría establecer en las islas del Golfo de Guinea, o en las Marianas, unas colonias penitenciarias, como las inglesas de Botany-Bay?”. El dictamen de la Academia propuso el premio para la memoria que aquí se publica, redactada por Concepción Arenal (1820-1893), de quien celebramos el bicentenario. En ella expone que estas colonias penales “forman una de las páginas más ignominiosas de que debe avergonzarse un pueblo honrado”. Además, como puede leerse en el dictamen, “tanto por la belleza de la forma como por la pureza del pensamiento, y no cabe dejar la lectura hasta terminar la Memoria”.

    Description: Esta visión del constitucionalismo como “discurso político” se aleja un poco de la opinión común, tal vez hasta deformar la esencia “liberal” que comúnmente se le atribuye. Se inserta en una larga línea de trabajo que parte de la toma de conciencia, de la peculiaridad que la historia constitucional puede representar en la amplia gama de los estudios que se dedican a la comprensión del sistema político, en sus elementos constitutivos estructurales, que nunca pueden prescindir de una perspectiva de tipo historiográfico. El concepto de constitución es de matriz indiscutiblemente alemana, es algo que está entre la estructura político-social de una época y la unidad política de una población humana determinada. Un aspecto tal vez un poco más peculiar de mi propuesta interpretativa es la insistencia sobre la componente “doctrinal” del mundo constitucional, que me ha llevado a traducir la constitución en la síntesis doctrinas-instituciones a través de la cual debería poderse caracterizar, de manera históricamente determinada, los distintos elementos de la historia política de los hombres, sobre todo en lo que se refiere a Occidente.

Systemet består av flere deler eller reguleringssystemer som til sammen danner en rettslig ramme for tilgangen til å høste av og tjene på fellesskapets ressurser. Ved endringene av havressurslova og deltakerloven i 2021 har vi fått et nytt kvotesystem. I denne boken nøyer forfatteren seg ikke med å fremstille gjeldende fiskerilover og forskrifter i det nye kvotesystemet, men har en bredere tilnærming til temaet. Analysen gir blant annet leseren kunnskap om rettsfeltet slik dette er vokst frem over tid; status for endringer i virkemiddelbruken på rettsfeltet, særlig i kjølvannet av Stortingets behandling av kvotemeldingen, Meld.     Description: El Diablo entra en el Paraíso, con la intención de apropiarse de la humanidad utilizando un nuevo y formidable instrumento: el proceso. Compuesto en el siglo XIV, transmitido como obra jurídica falsamente atribuida a Bartolo da Sassoferrato, el “Proceso entre el Diablo y la Virgen María” es un proceso simulado, en forma de diálogo, entre el Diablo, Cristo y la Virgen. Considerado como obra menor y casi ignorado por la historiografía, la obra constituye en realidad un extraordinario ejemplo de sincretismo cultural: el lenguaje de la teología sirve al derecho como fuente de legitimación, y a la inversa, la construcción escatológica y la misma teoría de la Salvación se injertan en una estructura jurídica. Desde esta perspectiva, aquí se vuelve a proponer el texto como un punto de observación ideal para aprehender las interacciones de una cultura poliédrica y compleja, suma de teatro y literatura, de derecho y teología, culta y popular.

    Description: This book, written by Rafael Ramis Barceló (University of Balearic Islands) aims to study orderly Alasdair MacIntyre's writings on Law. A way is proposed from the fifties until 2010. It may be interesting for moral and legal philosophers and for legal historians. It contains a set of thesis that claims for understanding the Philosophy of Law of MacIntyre it is necessary to know his philosophy of action. Following this analysis, it is studied his naturalistic turn in Ethics and its implications for the Theory of Justice and defense of Natural Law. MacIntyre defends a historicist vision of Law, according to traditions of thought, and accepting specially the custom as a legal source. Their position within the Natural Law debates differs from other opinions within the Aristotelianism and Thomism and it proposes an eclectic interpretation, although this is not without problems. = Este libro, escrito por Rafael Ramis Barceló, profesor de la Universidad de las Islas Baleares, pretende estudiar ordenadamente los escritos de Alasdair MacIntyre sobre el derecho. Puede resultar de interés para filósofos del derecho, moralistas e historiadores del derecho. Se propone un itinerario desde los años cincuenta hasta 2010. Se sostiene que para la comprensión de la filosofía del derecho de MacIntyre es necesario conocer su filosofía de la acción. Tras un análisis de ésta, se estudia su deriva naturalista en la ética, sus consecuencias en la teoría de la justicia y su defensa del derecho natural. MacIntyre defiende asimismo una visión historicista del derecho, construida a partir de tradiciones de pensamiento, en la que se valora especialmente la costumbre. Su postura en el marco del iusnaturalismo se distingue de otras corrientes en el seno del aristotelismo y del tomismo y propone una interpretación ecléctica, no exenta de problemas.

Lo más novedoso de este volumen es su interés por la tradición medieval hispánica, tan olvidada por los grandes maestros, deslumbrados -no sin razón- por las tradiciones culturales francesa, italiana y anglosajona. Se exponen en primer lugar -de lo general a lo particular- los procedimientos hermenéuticos con que los predecesores en el Medievo se han acercado a los textos antiguos. Después, se ofrece una visión general de la presencia de los clásicos en las bibliotecas medievales, para continuar con la presencia de esos mismos autores en los textos medievales. Para concluir, se intenta una semblanza de los principales "humanistas" hispánicos hasta finales del siglo XV. El concepto de humanismo utilizado es amplio y muy discutible, pero claro y útil en este trabajo.

    Description: Hvordan kan lærerutdanningen gi kommende lærere kompetanse i å arbeide med globale og flerkulturelle spørsmål, og hvordan kan praksis eller lengre utenlandsopphold fremme studentenes interkulturelle kompetanse og globale bevissthet? Denne antologien belyser disse spørsmålene fra ulike vinkler og ulike fagtradisjoner. Internasjonalisering i lærerutdanningen dreier seg gjerne om internasjonal praksis, og mange lærerutdanningsinstitusjoner har drevet med praksis i det globale sør i ulike varianter gjennom mange år. Bidragene i antologien er alle skrevet av fagansatte ved norske lærerutdanninger, som kommer fra ulike fagfelt som engelsk, norsk, pedagogikk, sosiologi, antropologi og samfunnsgeografi. Dette illustreres ved bruk av forskjellig teoretisk tilnærming, empirisk materiale og ulike analyseteknikker. Alle bidragene har kvalitative tilnærminger, hvor leseren møter både lærerstudentenes stemmer og stemmene til samarbeidspartnere i sør. Kapitlene belyser praksis og utenlandssemestre i Zambia, Namibia, Tanzania og Sør-Afrika. Ett kapittel dreieseg om praksis i en flyktningleir. Antologien reiser også kritiske spørsmål omkring internasjonalisering og hvordan det også innebærer en risiko for nykolonialisme, og at studentene kan se verden gjennom et «turistblikk». Det argumenteres for hvordan dette kan unngås gjennom grundig forberedelse, oppfølging og etterarbeid. Dette er den første antologien som omhandler forskning på praksis og lengre opphold i det globale sør, og den henvender seg til en bred målgruppe: fra politikere og byråkrater som legger til rette for studentmobilitet i høyere utdanning, til forskere, profesjonsutdannere og studenter. For profesjonsutdanninger som i dag har praksis i sør, vil bidragene kunne gi viktig innsikt i forberedelse før, oppfølging underveis og refleksjoner i etterkant av praksisoppholdet.     Description: Tid for lesing! handler om leseferdighetene til elever i tiårsalderen slik de er målt i den internasjonale undersøkelsen PIRLS i 2021. PIRLS 2021 ble gjennomført under covid-19-pandemien. Undersøkelsen inkluderer både en leseprøve og spørreskjemaer til elever, foresatte, norsklærere og rektorer. Som leseprøve måler PIRLS resultatet av flere års leseopplæring, ikke bare den opplæringa som har funnet sted i femte klasse. Når elevene er blitt ti år gamle, skal den grunnleggende leseferdigheten være nok utviklet til at de skal kunne lese og forstå tekster i mange ulike fag og sammenhenger. Samtidig er elevene fortsatt så unge at leseferdigheten kan forbedres i de tilfellene der ferdigheten er lav. Denne antologien utdyper resultatene fra kortrapporten (mai 2023) gjennom analyser av flere faktorer som kan ha betydning for barns leseutvikling. Kapitlene spenner over en rekke temaer, som betydningen av hjemmemiljø, skole og lærere for elevenes leseprestasjoner, elevenes lesevaner, elever med svake leseprestasjoner, hvordan elevene liker og presterer på tekstene i PIRLS, samt forskjeller mellom elever som tok PIRLS-prøven på papir og digitalt. Vi undersøker også mulige drivkrefter bak nedgangen i norske tiåringers leseforståelse.

    Description: El objeto de este libro ha sido estudiar la primera biblioteca que tuvo la Universidad de Mallorca, formada con las que establecieron los Jesuitas en los colegios de Montesión y San Martín de Palma y San Ignacio de Pollença. Fue una biblioteca universitaria abierta a todo estudioso que la quiso consultar, por tanto estamos en los orígenes de la lectura pública en Mallorca. El tema central es la biblioteca, sobre la que giran los acontecimientos históricos, en un contexto inmediato, traslado de libros, organización, inventario, acondicionamiento de espacios, actuación de los miembros del claustro universitario, y aquellos que van ocurriendo en el ámbito que la envuelve, la ciudad de Palma, enmarcados en las ideas de la Ilustración. La acotación cronológica se sustenta en dos años importantes para la vida universitaria mallorquina: 1767, por la expulsión de los Jesuitas, y 1829, por la real orden de supresión de la Universidad. La investigación se ha fundamentado en fuentes documentales conservadas en archivos históricos de Palma y Madrid. Los resultados obtenidos están organizados sobre un hilo cronológico que nos permite estudiar la evolución de la Universidad, desde un punto de vista institucional, en su etapa final de la mano de su biblioteca---The purpose of this book was to study the first university library of Majorca, which was formed by the union of the libraries that Jesuits had established in the schools of Montesión and San Martín in Palma and San Ignacio in Pollença. It was a university library opened to everybody, therefore we are at the origins of public reading in Majorca. The main subject is the library, its organization, transfer of books, inventory, space conditioning, performance of the members of the faculty and the events that happen in the city of Palma, framed by the Enlightment. The chronological dimension is based on two important years for Majorcan university life: 1767 (expulsion of the Jesuits) and 1829 (royal order of suppression of the university). The research has been based on documentary sources preserved in historical archives of Palma and Madrid. The results obtained are organized on a chronological thread that allows us to study the evolution of the university, from an institutional point of view, in its final stage through the history of the library.

En el mismo se atiende tanto a la institución docente como a los individuos que la integraron, por lo que puede calificarse de una obra ambiciosa, tanto por estos aspectos que se tratan, como por la señalada cronología, teniendo así una visión de conjunto de la Facultad de Derecho salmantina en el siglo XIX, periodo en que vio cómo la implantación del régimen liberal trajo la uniformización y centralización administrativas poniendo en peligro su pervivencia, además de situarla entre las Universidades periféricas que sobrevivieron como satélites alrededor de la Universidad Central de Madrid. El hecho de que durante muchos años fuese la única Facultad mayor de la Universidad salmantina hace que este trabajo sirva también para conocer más a fondo la historia decimonónica de la institución centenaria.

The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: Grunnlaget for denne boken er en erkjennelse av at alle begreper om og i samfunnet gir rom for tolkning. Begreper er mangetydige, og meningsinnholdet i ett og samme begrep er avhengig av hvilke kontekster det brukes i, både i tid (fortid og samtid) og rom (ulike nasjonale, sosiale og politiske sammenhenger).     Description: Det er stort endringstrykk i offentleg sektor. Denne antologien drøftar endringar i sektoren, basert på erfaringar, både prinsipielt og frå konkrete studiar. Siste del av antologien har læring som overordna tema. Her blir ulike delar av utdanningssystemet sett under lupa. Tema som skulebasert vidareutdanning i klasseleiing for lærarar, erfaringar med aktivtetar som skaper læring og trivsel blant studentar, bruk av praksisbasert metode i entreprenørskapskurs og korleis nye kvalifiseringsvegar i barnehagelærarutdanninga har endra studentgruppene, er døme på korleis ulike sider ved utdanningssystemet er i endring. Offentlig sektor i endring er saman med antologien Innovasjon og entreprenørskap eit resultat av Fjordkonferansen 2015.

    Description: If the reform of secondary education enacted in 1894 by the minister Segismundo Moret encouraged Miguel de Unamuno to print some reflections on the teaching of Latin in Spain, the disaster of 98 prompted him to write about higher education. In both cases, the underlying idea was to "make a homeland", to link the task of teaching with the truth, in the face of a sad realisation: "The school of lies is what is commonly called patriotism". Unamuno does not believe in official reforms, but in people, which is why he criticises, in a phrase that has become famous, "this weaving and unweaving of Penelope's web of our official teaching from the ministry".

It includes 8144 documents arranged chronologically from the beginning of the pontificate until the withdrawal of obedience by the Kingdom of Castile logically extinguished the issuing of documents for this purpose. The content of the documentation covers all the broad aspects of the Pontifical Chancery: provision of dioceses and abbeys, granting of benefices, spiritual graces and indulgences; appointment of collectors, legates and judges in the most diverse lawsuits. All the politics of the Castilian kingdom and its international implications are reflected in this documentation. And, in particular, in relation to the serious situation of division that the Church of the time was going through. The Documentary Collection is preceded by a Preliminary Study in which some aspects of the Pontificate of Benedict XIII are analysed, some other aspects of special interest contained in the documentary collection are highlighted, and some lines of research are pointed out, together with a bibliographical contribution that allows us to expand on each of the issues analysed. Particularly useful for local history aspects of each of the dioceses and also for prosopographical studies.

    Description: De som kommer til orde i denne boka er den moderate majoriteten av unge norske muslimer. De reflekterer om deres personlige tro, religiøse praksis, gruppetilhørigheter og særlig om synet de har på ekstreme bevegelser. Slik får vi en rikere forståelse av den motstanden mot jihadisme som er vanlig blant norske muslimer - omfanget, styrken, grunnene og engasjementet. Boka tar samtidig for seg at det er store forskjeller blant «vanlige» muslimer når det gjelder fortolkninger av islam, og at det er kamp mellom moderate og mer ekstreme strømninger om definisjonene av grunnleggende begreper og fortellinger. En rød tråd i boka er at det ikke nødvendigvis er politiet, kommunene eller andre offentlige instanser som er frontlinjen for bekjempelse av ekstremisme. Voldelig jihadisme bekjempes daglig i muslimske miljøer, og en viktig del av dette er kampen mellom forskjellige fortolkninger av islam.

    Description: Raymond Saleilles (Gigny-par-Beaune, Borgoña, 1855-París 1912) está considerado como uno de los máximos representantes de la Escuela antiformalista francesa, como uno de los profesores que reaccionaron a finales del siglo XIX contra el Absolutismo jurídico. Al autor se le presenta también como católico implicado en los problemas sociales de la época2, pero sin duda destaca en la literatura científica posterior a 1912 el papel de Saleilles como uno de los creadores del derecho comparado moderno. Pese a que no fue el único comparatista de su época ni tampoco el más prolífico ni el que estableciese un método elaborado de esta disciplina, los comparatistas posteriores a Saleilles le han considerado siempre como precursor de la comparatística en Francia, llegando a calificársele en ocasiones como “padre” del derecho comparado. Si duda esto se debe, al menos en parte, al importante papel de Raymond Saleilles en la organización del primer congreso internacional de derecho comparado, celebrado en París entre el 29 de julio y el 1 de agosto de 1900. Ciertamentehay un antes y un después de 1900 para la mayoría de comparatistas. El libro, en primer lugar, presenta una biografía del jurista que nos acerca a su contexto y a sus motivaciones científicas, políticas y religiosas. A continuación analiza el contexto de la aparición de este modernismo jurídico para desgranar después los diferentes elementos del método y objeto del derecho comparado saleilliano, ambos elaborados de manera vaga e imprecisa por el propio Saleilles. La última parte se dedico al análisis de la aplicación de esta doctrina a los diferentes temas que abordó el jurista francés.

Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

I denne antologien er det samlet 13 artikler som demonstrerer eksempler på hvordan det både kan undervises i og forskes på morsmålsfaget. Boka inneholder artikler innenfor språkdidaktikk, litteraturdidaktikk og skrivedidaktikk og har empiri fra alle nivå i utdanningssystemet i Norge, Sverige, Danmark og Finland. Antologien speiler også at morsmålsfaget er i stadig bevegelse, og nye disipliner kommer til. Derfor har vi for eksempel med bidrag som digital skriving i sosiolingvistisk perspektiv, sanglyrikk som multimodalt uttrykk og pedagogisk transspråking. Antologien har blitt til i etterkant av en nordisk konferanse om morsmålsdidaktikk ved NTNU, Trondheim, i 2019. Konferansekomiteen var den samme som redaksjonen for denne antologien. Både konferansen og boka inngår i en rekke slike arrangement som går på omgang i morsmålsdidaktikkmiljøene i Norge, Sverige, Danmark og Finland. Det felles nordiske nettverket har navnet Nordisk nettverk for morsmålsdidaktisk forskning (NNMF).

    Description: Luis Jiménez de Asúa fue uno de los penalistas más importantes del siglo XX español. Sin embargo, su activo papel político durante la II República provocó que hubiese de partir al exilio, eligiendo Argentina como destino. Fue allí donde Jiménez de Asúa alcanzó la máxima notoriedad, elaborando libros y artículos, trabajando en Universidades extranjeras, viajando a lo largo del continente y desarrollando una labor, tanto científica como docente que supuso la renovación jurídica de buena parte de la tierra hispanoamericana. A lo largo de este libro, se realiza un recorrido por la vida de Jiménez de Asúa, destacando sus aportaciones penales desde que se inició en el mundo académico en 1913 hasta que la muerte le sorprendió en el exilio. El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es, por lo tanto, recuperar la figura de este eximio penalista, intentando arrojar luz sobre su figura, que a pesar de ser ampliamente reconocida a lo largo del mundo, en España sigue ocupando un lugar secundario.

    Description: El modelo de universidad diseñado en la primera mitad del siglo XIX se ajustaba a criterios de centralidad: era un instrumento al servicio del Estado, y estaba controlado y sostenido íntegramente por éste. Las universidades carecían de recursos propios y era patente el desinterés general del Estado por el ámbito de la cultura. Esta situación prolongada en el tiempo llevó a una esclerotización de las universidades españolas a finales del siglo XIX. Entre los diversos intentos de regenerar el país, se pensó que las universidades debían convertirse en instrumentos óptimos de renovación cultural y de modernización de España. Por ello, frente al rígido centralismo que regía buena parte del gobierno de la Administración, se promovieron distintas formas de autonomía que permitieran una más dinámica gestión de lo público. Se habló mucho de autonomía política y, en el ámbito de las universidades, se promovió la búsqueda de la autonomía universitaria. Entre los numerosos intentos de lograrla, este libro estudia el más ambicioso de todos: la conocida como Reforma Silió, emprendida por el ministro de Instrucción Pública y Bellas Artes César Silió, entre 1919 y 1922. El autor estudia la situación de la universidad española en 1919, la gestación de aquella reforma y su acogida en la Universidad Central; los trabajos preparatorios de la comisión del estatuto y más tarde los del claustro, que sirvieron para preparar el primer estatuto de autonomía de la Universidad; y, más adelante, el desarrollo legislativo de la reforma y la aprobación de los estatutos en la segunda etapa del ministerio de Silió. A partir de abundante documentación de archivo de aquella Universidad, se estudian todos los pasos que se dieron en la Universidad Central para constituirla en universidad autónoma. Y la obra concluye con el estudio de la suspensión de aquella autonomía, decidida por el ministro de Instrucción Pública Tomás Montejo. En un apéndice documental se recoge una valiosa relación de documentos relacionados con la Reforma Silió y con su intento de implantación en la Universidad Central.

    Description: Esta publicación ofrece una antología representativa de ensayos, escritos en el arco de treinta años, destinados a ilustrar luces y sombras del proceso codificador. El autor ve en éste no sólo una reorganización formal de la materia jurídica (penal, civil, mercantil o procesal) destinada a garantizar certeza, y por ello dirigida a conseguir mayor completitud material, sino también (y sobre todo) la visible repercusión jurídica de un cambio político, social, cultural, económico, es decir –simplificando– de la transición del mundo feudal al burgués. Por este motivo, la codificación deviene la estrategia jurídica preferida para corresponder a las aspiraciones incubadas por la sociedad en el contexto posrevolucionario. Se examina por eso desde perspectivas distintas: locales (la mayoría referidas al microcosmo suizo) y supranacionales, formales y materiales, científicas y presapienciales. El autor raramente se contenta con razonamientos basados en datos normativos, en reglas jurídicas promulgadas por los códigos. Tiende más bien a preguntarse sobre como la nueva sociedad burguesa recibió el nuevo derecho del código, sobre como lo ha aprovechado en sus propios programas, sobre los fines concretos de esta descontada adaptación normativa. Por este motivo, al privilegiar siempre la interpretación del destinatario, el autor no cede a la tentación de escribir una historia continental de la codificación, sino que prefiere un examen más pegado a la realidad histórica concreta de las singulares sociedades que codifican. Y lo hace en el espíritu de la intuición de Montesquieu, según la cual “c’est un très grand hasard, si les lois d’une nation peuvent convenir à une autre”.

    Description: Se reúne en este libro un conjunto de quince trabajos relacionados con los estudios jurídicos en la Universidad de Salamanca desde mediados del siglo XVI hasta los inicios del XIX. En su mayoría corresponden a una línea de investigación iniciada en 1991 por la autora con la publicación de unos tratados y prácticas procesales utilizados como materiales docentes en el siglo XVI, que ponían en cuestión la tradicional visión historiográfica (muy influenciada por la crítica de los reformistas ilustrados del siglo XVIII) acerca de la formación universitaria de los juristas en el Antiguo Régimen y el presunto carácter exclusivamente teórico y romanista de las enseñanzas jurídicas. Lejos de ese planteamiento, los resultados aquí expuestos ponen de manifiesto la plena adecuación de los métodos y contenidos de los estudios en Salamanca a la realidad jurídica del momento y la atención al derecho patrio y la práctica que se garantizaba en ellos. Cuestiones aquí tratadas son también las salidas profesionales de los juristas, los estudios universitarios de Manuel Belgrano y la respuesta de la Universidad de Salamanca a la Constitución de Cádiz.

    Description: Este libro es la materialización de un encargo del rector Gregorio Peces-Barba de realizar un trabajo sobre los orígenes de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. El resultado se encuentra plasmado en estas páginas que son el fruto del esfuerzo de muchas personas. La Universidad Carlos III ha destacado desde su implantación por su empeño en definir sus líneas maestras, sus ejes definidores y distintivos respecto a otras universidades ya existentes. Desde ese presente, desde el momento en que este centro vio la luz, procuró siempre proyectar esas líneas hacia un futuro, hacia un medio y largo plazo, en el que la Universidad contaría con el tiempo para consolidarse. Presente y futuro, como preocupación, estuvieron y están siempre muy visibles en el discurso y en la imagen que la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid ha querido proyectar de sí misma. Nuestro ejercicio introduce, con los quince años de perspectiva que ahora se nos otorgan, cierta dimensión de pasado, o mejor, de presente madurado, lo que da un lugar privilegiado a la reflexión antes aludida. Hemos querido dejar por escrito, a través de un trabajo siempre documentado y junto a las reflexiones de quienes más directamente estuvieron relacionados con los comienzos de la andadura de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, el reflejo de un estado de cosas que no entramos a valorar pero que sí puede dar lugar a la reflexión por parte de los lectores pertenecientes a esta comunidad universitaria y, sobre todo por parte de aquéllos que, en mayor o menor medida, soportan las responsabilidades del gobierno de este centro.     Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.
