    Beschreibung: Este libro reúne trabajos sobre el pasado y el presente de las leyes, las justicias y las insituciones de seguridad de la provincia de Buenos Aires. Dicha temática plantea una complejidad que solo ha sido analizada parcialmente, y que aquí se quiere profundizar sumando aportes de distintas disciplinas y miradas. Se aprovechan para ello las contribuciones más recientes de las Ciencias Sociales, que se han ocupado del sobreexpuesto tema de la seguridad y de las instituciones que detentan el monopolio de la coerción estatal, junto con los aportes de la llamada historia social y cultural de la justicia y las instituciones de seguridad de América Latina. Los autores que integran esta compilación buscan avanzar en el conocimiento de los marcos normativos y las prácticas sociales en el territorio bonaerense, indagando sobre distintos aspectos -históricos y contemporáneos- de la administración del conflicto, que involucran una trama compleja de relaciones, tanto hacia el interior de las agencias estatales  como en su relación con diversos grupos, clases y actores sociales.

    Beschreibung: La presente obra, fruto de iniciativas que reúne a varias universidades y especialistas del país, aparece cuando se está cumpliendo un siglo del surgimiento de la historia de las elaciones internacionales como subdiscipli- na histórica. Por lo mismo, nos ha parecido relevante significar esta conmemoracion abordando un tema que hunde sus raices en el propio campo de estudios aludido. En efecto, mucho se ha escrito sobre el Tratado de 1904, tanto en Chile como en Bolivia, de ahí que ya vemos una sérié de estudios recientes que han ido aclarando ese proceso. El présente libro, por eso mismo, no trata del acuerdo en sí, sino de su relevancia como hito de un cambio decisivo en la trayectoria de Chile como vence- dor de la Guerra del Pacífico, hasta 1929.

    Beschreibung: The history of Trotskyist tendencies after Trotsky remains, more than 80 years after Trotsky's death, largely terra incognita or, more accurately, a bazaar for all manner of sects to sell their myths. Only once in a while does a work emerge that takes the history of Trotskyism out of the realm of mythology and provides us with the elements we need to reconstruct the actual experience of Trotskyist militants in a given time and place. In this sense, this brief work has no other purpose than to provide a general overview of international experiences linked to Trotskyism in the second half of the 20th century in order to advance in a circumstantial understanding of its history and development.

    Beschreibung: In April 1957, a social revolt of unprecedented magnitudes in the history of Chile occurred. The proportion of the population involved was immense, and important parts of the city were seen for hours and even days, outside the control of the State. The dawn of metropolitan Santiago was illuminated with burning barricades, which were nothing more than the signs of street fighting, looting, fires, and finally the flashes of police and military carbines, rifles and machine guns. Six months later, in the southern part of the city, where Santiago was gradually dissolving beyond the Zanjón de La Aguada, thousands of poor homeless families occupied and took over the former La Feria farm, and from there they founded the current town. The victory. Both events are precipitations of complex processes of radicalization and popular politicization. Taken together, the events of 1957 constitute a milestone of rupture and strategic leap in the historical composition of the proletarian universe of Santiago.
