Description:
Among so many possible conceptions of the human being – from the emphasis on the sacred in ancestral cultures, Socratic reason, the faith of Christian theology, Cartesian centrality, the finitude of Kant, the action of Fichte, the will of Schopenhauer or Nietzsche , Kierkegaard's singularity, the possibility and projection of Jaspers or Heidegger, Huizinga's homo ludens, Scheler's being a person, Gehlen's lack, and others – we understand it here as a search for meaning. And like any seeker, explorer or adventurer (in the manner of Ulysses) we long to conquer, to possess meaning, which, by the way, we never manage to conclude.
