    Description: La narración es una herramienta educativa de primer orden. Con el denominado «giro narrativo» en el ámbito de las ciencias sociales, el interés por sus diversas formas y contextos no ha dejado de aumentar, hasta el punto de generar una nueva disciplina: la narratología. Sin embargo, su repercusión tanto en el ámbito educativo de la escuela, como en la educación social y el trabajo social, no ha sido tan amplia. Este libro expone teorías pedagógicas, metodologías con ejemplos de su aplicación: desde las historias de vida y las autobiografías hasta los relatos digitales, en varios contextos sociales y etapas vitales (el aula, la prisión, la inmigración, la formación de profesionales, la vejez), y recoge aportaciones de autores italianos, sudamericanos y españoles, todos con una vasta experiencia en este campo.

    Description: The topic of the book is the incremental growth of linguistic knowledge from lexical to structural-cum-textual during the so-called later language development. Language mastery does not presuppose any acquaintance with prescriptive grammar but, instead, concerns the core of language which the so-called consensus principle applies to: the most frequent words and structures are mastered with certainty by everybody, but uncertainty increases as less frequent and more variable phenomena are taken into consideration. It is the goal of the study to make explicit the knowledge that is common to school children of different age groups, and to show how it develops both in its core and in its fringe areas. The mastery of less common aspects exhibits considerable statistical variation. The research embodies methodological pluralism insofar as it has been carried out by means both of the corpus method and the experimental method. Here experimental subsumes writing tasks, paper-and-pencil tests, and behavior under experimental conditions. The amount of participants native in Finnish varies from 300–2000. The book has a bipartite structure: mastery of meanings (Part I), and mastery of forms (Part II).

    Description: La universidad sufre hoy en día una gran presión burocráti­ca y tecnológica que la está convirtiendo en una institución cada vez más opresiva, rígida y reglamentada, tanto respecto a la creación y difusión del conocimiento como a la docencia y a la relación entre estudiantes y profesores. Afortunadamente todavía queda algo de la libertad que desde siempre ha caracterizado a la universidad. Y, aunque precaria, la libertad sigue siendo la condición de posibilidad de la conversación, que crea el contexto propicio para la aparición del conocimiento y resulta ser la mejor, si no la única, forma de aprender. ¿Qué otro modo hay, si no, de acercarse al misterio de la transmisión, a la incógnita de cómo convertir la experien­cia del profesor en experiencia del estudiante? Estas páginas son una invitación a profundizar en el senti­do y el significado de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, a acercarse a la esencia misma del mundo universitario y su vivencia. Los distintos capítulos del libro traen a la luz razones y emociones, ambas necesarias para que, tal vez, el rumbo que ahora lleva la universidad pueda algún día redirigirse.

    Description: This edited volume is a handbook of research methodologies for the history of childhood. The history of childhood is a vibrant, multidisciplinary field that incorporates a rich variety of methodological approaches developed in disciplines across the social sciences and humanities, including archaeology, education, ethnology, literature, and history. The volume presents a collection of chapters that engage a range of different research traditions and employ different research material, conceptual tools, and methods of analysis for the historical study of childhood. In doing so, the volume attends to issues specific to the study of children and childhood, such as those related to research ethics and the theoretical complexities of defining ‘the child’ and ‘childhood’. While the central focus is on the history of childhood in Finland, the volume also includes international and transnational cases, contexts, and perspectives.
