    Description: At the beginning of the 21st century, the role that the history of law should play in the training of jurists cannot be the same as the discipline played in the last century, hence the importance of reflecting on the scope that from now on the subjects of historical content should have in the different curricula in which the knowledge of law in its historical dimension has a place. The delimitation of the role to be played by historical education requires reflection on the three traditional dimensions of knowledge, the material, spatial and temporal dimensions. This is the reasoning that justified the first symposium of the Spanish Society of Law Historians.

    Description: The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters in Madrid commissioned Marcelino Menéndez Pelayo and Nicolás Salmerón to write a report on the royal decrees that reduced university staffing levels, given by virtue of the authorisations granted by the Budget Law of 30 June 1892. The text of the opinion is reproduced together with some extracts from a well-known book by the professor from the Central University (Historia de los heterodoxos españoles) which help to understand the context of the message. It thus serves to document the extent of an opinion, which is not confined to a single group - the Krausist group - but is shared by other sectors that conceive of the university as something more than an administrative office. The key ideas are: the immobility of the teaching staff; an ideal of family life geared towards scientific research; the demand for autonomy - freedom of action - for the university body; the conception of the university as the representative of national culture; the promotion of scientific and not only professional faculties; the intervention of the university in the choice of its staff; the elimination of course exams... In short, it rejected "the trampling importation of the French centralist regime" and called for emancipation from excessive official tutelage.

    Description: Travel experienced a high point in the interwar period with the beginning of mass tourism in Spain. While Spanish intellectuals visited Europe or America to define their identity and their position in the cultural field, the Spain of the Second Republic attracted many writers, scientists and artists from other countries, who found here one of the great cultural epicenters, but also a country where traditions and ways of life that resisted the push of modern life survived. The Civil War confirmed the idea that the Spanish landscape was the stage where the future of the world was beginning to be decided, and many European and American intellectuals came here in those years, while Renau began the evacuation of the Spanish artistic treasure to protect it from fascist barbarism. This book analyzes the vision of Spain and the world derived from the travels of Walter Benjamin, Nancy Cunard, Walter Starkie, Ortiz Echagüe, Mª Teresa León, Concha Méndez, Mijail Koltsov or the collaborators of the travel magazine Oasis -directed by the engineers Vicente Olmo and Silverio de la Torre-, but also the experience of the inner journey of many of them and the influence of those cultural experiences.

La catalogación, que incluye 193 expedientes custodiados en el Archivo General de la Administración (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid), describe los elementos esenciales del expediente del concurso- oposición: signatura del archivo, denominación de la agregaduría, universidad, fecha de la convocatoria de la oposición, jueces del tribunal, opositores, votación, propuesta y materiales. El cuerpo de profesores agregados de universidad fue creado en 1965 y se integró en el de catedráticos en 1983.

    Description: Gregorio López de Tovar (1547-1636) was, besides being a prosecutor, oidor and counselor of Orders, the architect of a repertoire of laws and glosses destined to accompany the successful official edition that in 1555 his grandfather, Gregorio López de Valenzuela (1490-1560), had prepared of the Partidas. The memoirs in which, throughout most of his life, he recorded these and other public and private events, remained unpublished as a whole until now. Beyond the editorial history of this code, to which they have contributed, their possibilities remained untapped for knowledge of the mechanics of access and promotion within the judicial machinery or of the social customs of his privileged estate, among other inquisitive aspects.

    Description: Valentín Ortigosa, born in 1784 in Arriate (Málaga), emigrated to Mexico in 1803, where he was ordained a priest. He returned to Spain in 1810. His biography will reflect the events that took place in those years of the 19th century in which he lived, especially the problems that arose in the relations between Rome and Madrid as the representative system was being established. Although he would never occupy a relevant public position, Ortigosa moved in the circle of Agustín Argüelles, or José María de Calatrava; he enjoyed the favor of the queen governor María Cristina and his political opinions, especially in relation to the independence of the American countries, found echo in the press. Presented by the Regent to be bishop of Malaga in 1836, being suspended in fact the relations between the crown of Spain and Rome, his designation was not confirmed, but he was named capitular vicar and this allowed him to rule the Diocese without having been consecrated bishop; he became one of the "intrusive bishops". Due to denunciations of the Chapter of Malaga, a case was opened against him before the Tribunal of the Archbishopric of Seville. Later the appeal of force that Ortigosa raised before the Audience of Seville, and its execution by the Supreme Court ended up giving rise to the rupture of the relationship with the Holy See with the closing of the Nunciature of Madrid in January of 1841. This case and its repercussions are studied in detail in this book, both from the juridical, civil and canonical point of view, as well as from the political point of view. The documentation collected from newspaper archives and from numerous archives, both Spanish and Roman, has made it possible to analyze the consequences of the question of the so-called "intruders" starting from the case of Valentín Ortigosa, a character whose notoriety in these years contrasts with the oblivion of his name after disappearing from public life in 1843.

Aunque no ocuparía nunca un cargo público relevante, Ortigosa se movió en el círculo de Agustín Argüelles, o José María de Calatrava; gozó del favor de la reina gobernadora María Cristina y sus opiniones políticas, en especial en lo relacionado con la independencia de los países americanos, encontraron eco en la prensa. Mas tarde el recurso de fuerza que Ortigosa planteó ante la Audiencia de Sevilla, y su ejecución por el Tribunal Supremo acabó dando lugar a la ruptura de la relación con la Santa Sede con el cierre de la Nunciatura de Madrid en enero de 1841. Esta causa y sus repercusiones son estudiadas con detenimiento en este libro, tanto desde el punto de vista jurídico, civil y canónico, como desde la óptica política. La documentación recogida de hemerotecas y de numerosos archivos, españoles y de Roma, ha permitido analizar las consecuencias de la cuestión de los llamados “intrusos” a partir del caso de Valentín Ortigosa, un personaje cuya notoriedad en estos años contrasta con el olvido de su nombre tras desaparecer de la vida pública en 1843.

    Description: At the end of the 19th century, Spain enjoyed a favorable climate for developing true freedom of the press, a right recognized in Article 13 of the Constitution of 1876 and developed through the Printing Police Law of 1883. However, throughout the period of the Bourbon Restoration (1883-1923), the Spanish government, represented by the conservative and liberal parties that peacefully took turns in power, adopted a series of measures that distorted the longed-for freedom of Spanish publications. The political and social events characteristic of this period (especially the terrorism of the end of the 19th century, the colonial conflicts in Cuba and Morocco or the influence of the regionalisms of the 20th century), had a notable influence on the actions of the public authorities. The latter used different legal instruments (the approval of different laws limiting freedom, the frequent declaration of the suspension of constitutional guarantees or the multiple sentences imposed through the ordinary courts), and other indirect mechanisms (the reptile funds or the sending of guidelines to newspapers under the threat of suspension or suppression of the newspapers), which served to establish a regime of information control, especially severe with the press that did not follow the guidelines of the liberal regime in place, and which left the liberal Printing Press Law practically without effect.

    Description: A finales del siglo XIX, España gozaba de un clima favorable para desarrollar una verdadera libertad de prensa, derecho reconocido en el artículo 13 de la Constitución de 1876 y desarrollado a través de la Ley de Policía de Imprenta de 1883. Sin embargo, a lo largo del período de la Restauración borbónica (1883-1923), el Gobierno español, representado por el partido conservador y el liberal que se turnaban pacíficamente en el poder, adoptó una serie de medidas que distorsionaron la ansiada libertad de las publicaciones españolas. Los acontecimientos políticos y sociales característicos de esta etapa (especialmente, el terrorismo de finales del siglo XIX, los conflictos coloniales en Cuba y Marruecos o la influencia de los regionalismos del siglo XX), influyeron de forma notable en la actuación del poder público. Este utilizó distintos instrumentos legales (la aprobación de distintas leyes que limitaban la libertad, la frecuente declaración de la suspensión de garantías constitucionales o las múltiples condenas impuestas a través de los tribunales ordinarios), y otros mecanismos indirectos (los fondos de reptiles o el envío de orientaciones a los periódicos bajo la amenaza de la suspensión o la supresión de los periódicos), que les sirvieron para establecer un régimen de control informativo, especialmente severo con la prensa que no seguía las directrices del régimen liberal instaurado, y que dejó prácticamente sin efecto la Ley de Imprenta liberal.

    Description: The reading experience and the self-referential stories of children between five and six years of age presented in this booklet are the result of the work elaborated by the transition students of the Franciscan School of Pius XII, within the framework of the activities of the psychology professional practice project, whose purpose was to approach narratives and stories as an excuse to navigate through the subjective productions elaborated from the reading experience. The elaboration of the stories allowed the construction of a space to relate personal events considered significant for the children. Therefore, each story that the reader will encounter speaks of a small world that found a way to be transmitted to others through narrative. Beyond building a story, the idea was to allow a moment to think about those experiences that give meaning to existence, as they are loaded with imagination, emotions and sensations, which is an opportunity to develop the process of conceiving themselves as subjects with a story.

    Description: Can we build peace? relaunches the question of peacebuilding as a commitment to research and reflection beyond established theoretical frameworks. Each chapter of this book reflects the search and the questions that mobilize different scholars from their own intellectual trajectories and life experiences. It is a book that harbors the richness of its content in the diversity of methodical approaches to the question of peace. Thus, it understands that to build, to recognize, to dissent, to transform, are verbs of solidarity with which the transition from a country in conflict to a possible peace is conveyed. From the academic point of view, one of the great challenges is to consolidate the convergence of interests, knowledge and actions that allow a clear understanding of the complexity of the problems of the transition to peace. One of the premises that inspires the authors is to propose a decentered reading of established theories, without ignoring their value and without rejecting the necessary specificity required to elucidate and address specific issues such as psychological effects, legal discussions or media logics. Thus, the reader will find dissertations on cardinal issues of social, political and cultural life on which it is necessary to reflect in the processes of overcoming armed conflicts. Cada capítulo de este libro refleja la búsqueda y los interrogantes que movilizan a distintos académicos desde sus propias trayectorias intelectuales y experiencias de vida. Es un libro que aloja la riqueza de su contenido en la diversidad de aproximaciones metódicas a la pregunta por la paz. Así las cosas, entiende que construir, reconocer, disentir, transformar, son verbos solidarios con los que se vehiculiza la transición de un país en conflicto, hacia una paz posible. Desde el punto de vista académico, uno de los grandes retos es consolidar la convergencia de intereses, saberes y acciones que permitan una clara comprensión de la complejidad de los problemas de la transición hacia la paz. Una de las premisas que inspira a los autores, es proponer una lectura descentrada de las teorías establecidas, sin desconocer su valor y sin recusar la especificidad necesaria que requieren la elucidación y abordaje de asuntos concretos como los efectos psicológicos, las discusiones jurídicas o las lógicas mediáticas. Por lo anterior, el lector encontrará disertaciones sobre temas cardinales de la vida social, política y cultural que precisan ser reflexionados en los procesos de superación de conflictos armados. It is a set of studies that offer a very well differentiated Latin American panorama and with comparative contributions that generate lines of future research. For this reason, I believe that it may soon become an important international reference work (GUNTHER DIETZ). It is a very current and relevant work for the Latin American context. It is a commitment to work with, in and from the communities, which is related to one of the objectives sought, which is to understand interculturality from the grassroots. It is an enjoyable read and I consider that it can be a contribution both to continue with the research presented and to generate much more participatory and collaborative methodologies in the field, breaking with the classic Eurocentric object-subject visions. On the other hand, the degree of commitment that can be seen in several chapters can serve as motivation for social scientists who are beginning in the field (ELEDER PIÑEIRO).

Es una apuesta por el trabajo con, en y desde las comunidades, lo que se relaciona con uno de los objetivos buscados, que es entender la interculturalidad desde las bases. Es una lectura amena y considero que puede ser un aporte tanto para continuar con las investigaciones presentadas como para generar metodologías mucho más participativas y colaborativas en el campo, rompiendo con las clásicas visiones eurocéntricas objeto-sujeto. Por otro lado, el grado de compromiso que se aprecia en varios capítulos puede servir de motivación para los científicos sociales que se inician en el campo (ELEDER PIÑEIRO).

    Description: The World Health Organization -WHO- (2016, p.1) notes that, "Annually, more than 800,000 people take their own lives and many more attempt suicide. Each suicide is a tragedy that affects families, communities, and countries and has lasting effects for those close to the suicidal person." Suicidal behavior ranges from ideation in its different expressions, through threats, gestures and attempts, to the suicide itself. The presence of any of these indicators (ideation, threats, gestures and attempts) should be considered as a sign of high risk in the individual presenting them. The relationship between suicide and mental disorders is quite close, however, it does not mean that those who do not suffer from a mental disorder are exempt from this suicidal behavior, since there have been cases that occur impulsively as a response to a crisis that affects the ability to cope with the difficulties of life, such as economic problems, the breakup of sentimental or family relationships, or chronic pain and illness.

Cada suicidio es una tragedia que afecta a familias, comunidades y países y tiene efectos duraderos para las personas cercanas al suicida." El comportamiento suicida abarca desde la ideación en sus diferentes expresiones, pasando por las amenazas, los gestos y los intentos, hasta el suicidio propiamente dicho. La presencia de cualquiera de estos indicadores (ideas, amenazas, gestos e intentos) debe considerarse como un signo de alto riesgo en el individuo que los presenta. La relación entre el suicidio y los trastornos mentales es bastante estrecha, sin embargo, no significa que quienes no padecen un trastorno mental estén exentos de esta conducta suicida, ya que se han dado casos que se producen de forma impulsiva como respuesta a una crisis que afecta a la capacidad de afrontar las dificultades de la vida, como los problemas económicos, la ruptura de relaciones sentimentales o familiares, o los dolores y enfermedades crónicas.

    Description: The first components of developmental psychology can perhaps be traced back to the social recognition of infancy and childhood. Many historians agree that this recognition came late. The French historian Philippe Ariès argues that in medieval society there was no room for childhood or the child as theoretical constructs. They would emerge in the course of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Thus, although a certain sensitivity towards childhood appeared between the 16th and 17th centuries, it would seem that it was only in the 18th century that the child became the object of concern for some thinkers, mostly philosophers and pedagogues. There are several authors who are referents and it is worthwhile to review them, even if only briefly. At the time, Rousseau (1712-1778), in his Emilium, proposes an education centered on the natural evolution of the child, in which he highlights his particularities and differences and places childhood as a necessary and fundamental stage for man. The pedagogue Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), sympathizes with some of Rousseau's ideas on the education of children and keeps a diary of his son's first two years, which becomes one of the first systematic observations that is assumed to be a precursor of observational methodology in early development. In line with the above, this text can only be understood as a first attempt, unfinished and open, to be continued. It is what the Anglos call a "text in progress", and that the ebook edition will allow us to reopen it without major difficulties. It is also, of course, an incitement to readers to complement it, discuss it or even controvert it. This is intended to be a living text and discussed within the community. It is possible that certain hypotheses about the facts found will give rise to controversy. A colleague warned that lightning will surely strike it as it is a provocative text. Let's hope so: as long as they are illuminating, it will have partially fulfilled its purpose. In any case, there remains a taste for scrutinizing our past more closely with a view to the future and not only to what could not be.

Muchos historiadores coinciden en afirmar que ese reconocimiento fue tardío. Posiblemente ciertas hipótesis sobre los hechos encontrados vayan a suscitar polémicas. Una colega advirtió que seguramente le caerán rayos y centellas en la medida que es un texto provocador. Ojalá así sea: mientras sean iluminantes habrá cumplido en parte su propósito. Queda de todas maneras, un gusto por escudriñar más minuciosamente nuestro pasado de cara al futuro y no solo a lo que no pudo ser.

    Description: This book has a series of characteristics that are worth highlighting. It begins its construction with a team of researchers from the Cognition and Representational Development Group of the Research Center of the Universidad del Valle, which articulates several groups such as the Research Group on Evaluation and Quality of Education (Giece); the Education Group, the Cognitive Development, Learning and Teaching Group, and the Cognition and Education Group. Likewise, the three doctoral programs in psychology in the region participate in its elaboration: Universidad del Valle, Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali. In the first one, the authors were trained and learned that nonlinear dynamical systems can be a conceptual and methodological way to approach the study of cognitive development. The different works that make up the chapters of the book are ascribed to nonlinear dynamical systems, which offer an innovative conceptualization for thinking about developmental psychology in general and cognitive development in particular. This pioneering and committed task of the group materializes in significant advances in the use of methodologies more in line with the conceptual principles assumed.

Inicia su construcción con un equipo de investigadores del Grupo Cognición y Desarrollo Representacional, del Centro de Investigaciones de la Universidad del Valle, que articula diversos grupos tales como el Grupo de Investigación en Evaluación y Calidad de la Educación (Giece); el Grupo Educación, el Grupo Desarrollo Cognitivo, Aprendizaje y Enseñanza, y el Grupo Cognición y Educación. Así mismo, en su preparación involucra los tres programas de doctorado en psicología de la región: el de la Universidad del Valle, el de la Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali y el de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali. En el primero de ellos se formaron los autores y aprendieron que los sistemas dinámicos no lineales pueden ser un camino conceptual y metodológico para abordar el estudio del desarrollo cognitivo. Los distintos trabajos que conforman los capítulos del libro se adscriben a los sistemas dinámicos no lineales, que ofrecen una conceptualización innovadora para pensar la psicología del desarrollo en general y el desarrollo cognitivo en particular. Esta tarea pionera y comprometida del grupo, se concreta en avances significativos en el uso de metodologías más acordes con los principios conceptuales asumidos.

    Description: The writing of this text is based on the interest in elucidating the place of the subject in the field of science. The first challenge it assumes consists in situating the way in which science and medicine are linked, progressively giving rise to a particular mode of the physician's clinical work. This task requires identifying the type of science alluded to, as well as the type of medicine referred to; namely, that science arising from positivism and that medicine related to its principles. Having said this, what about the medical clinic? From there, the reflection on observation as a technique found within scientific medical practice comes to the surface and configures a particular relationship between medical knowledge, the physician as agent of this discourse and the patient. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the elucidation of the place of the subject in this structure of relationships, to show the relevance and validity of a clinical practice refounded by Freud on principles decentered from positivism. It is a different framework of thought, the psychoanalytic one, which proposes a clinical practice guided by listening to this subjective discomfort not (yet) conquered by nosological language and which entails psychic suffering.

    Description: La escritura del presente texto se sostiene en el interés de dilucidar el lugar del sujeto en el campo de la ciencia. El primer desafío que asume es situar el modo en que ciencia y medicina se enlazan, dando lugar de manera progresiva a un modo particular del quehacer clínico del médico. Esta tarea requiere significar el tipo de ciencia a la cual se alude así como también el tipo de medicina a la cual se hace referencia; a saber, aquella ciencia que surge del positivismo y aquella medicina emparentada con sus principios. Dicho esto ¿qué ocurre con la clínica médica? A partir de allí, se pone sobre la superficie la reflexión sobre la observación en tanto técnica que se halla en el seno de la práctica médica científica y configura una particular relación entre el saber médico, el médico en tanto que agente de ese discurso y el paciente. Aportar a la dilucidación del lugar del sujeto en esa estructura de relaciones, es la apuesta del presente trabajo que tiene como fin mostrar la pertinencia y vigencia de una práctica clínica refundada por Freud sobre principios descentrados del positivismo. Se trata de un marco de pensamiento distinto, el psicoanalítico, que propone una práctica clínica guiada por la escucha de aquel malestar subjetivo no conquistado (aún) por el lenguaje nosológico y que trae consigo un sufrimiento psíquico.

    Description: The book is based on the experience of the implementation of the proposal for the exercise of citizenship of people with hearing disabilities as a form of social inclusion, selected at national level in the framework of the second call of the Social Service Program in Higher Education, carried out by the Ministry of National Education and the Colombian Association of Universities (Ascun). This work, carried out jointly by the Faculty of Psychology of the Universidad de San Buenaventura, Cali, and the Asociación de Sordos del Valle (Asorval), between August and December 2010, had the participation of fifteen sixth semester students, three seventh semester students, four ninth semester students and one tenth semester psychology student; and twenty-six young people from Asorval. The purpose of this text is to sensitize listeners about the implications of living in a city when one is deaf, which implies the problems of those who face this situation in their daily lives, but also the strengths and actions they develop to change it. For this purpose, the voices of the young participants of this project are rescued, taking as a reference what they wanted to show to the hearing community.

Este trabajo, realizado conjuntamente por la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de San Buenaventura, sede Cali, y la Asociación de Sordos del Valle (Asorval), entre agosto y diciembre de 2010, contó con la participación de quince estudiantes de sexto semestre, tres de séptimo, cuatro de noveno y uno de décimo semestre de psicología; y veintiséis jóvenes de Asorval. El propósito de este texto es sensibilizar a los oyentes sobre las implicaciones de vivir en una ciudad cuando se es sordo, lo que implica los problemas de quienes enfrentan esta situación en su vida cotidiana, pero también las fortalezas y acciones que desarrollan para cambiarla. Para ello, se rescatan las voces de los jóvenes participantes de este proyecto, tomando como referencia lo que ellos quisieron mostrar a la comunidad oyente.

    Description: This book analyses the social relations between the Malvezzi lineage and the College of Spain in Bologna. The apparently strange symbiosis between a family of the urban oligarchy and a secular university college can be explained in the context of the creation of factions favourable to the Houses of Austria and Valois, which polarised Italian political life. Thus, the college, which participated in the administrative structures of the monarchy, became part of a Hispanophile circuit created in Bologna and led by the Malvezzi family. The aim of these affinity networks was the social promotion of their male leaders through political and military service to the Spanish monarchs. From the precedents in the kingdom of Naples, we move on to the articulation of a philo-Habsburg party in Bologna that extended its influence beyond the city, and which counted on the College of Spain and several of its collegiates throughout the 16th century. In this way, the foundations of the Malvezzi's local power are integrated into the Italian philo-Spanish networks, combining the urban, regional and international scales. A study that relies on Network Analysis in order to properly interpret the involvement of the college and the personal interests of each of the Italian leaders involved. Finally, it addresses questions related to symbolic capital, attempting to unravel the fundamental points of the hispanophilic narrative elaborated by the Malvezzi family and the collaboration of the College of Spain in this ideological enterprise. This contribution not only broadens our knowledge of the phenomenon of philo-Spanish factions in Renaissance Italy, but also allows us to interpret the role played by a university college in a city where, unlike Rome, Naples or Milan, there were no centres of reference for the Spanish Monarchy.

La aparentemente extraña simbiosis entre una familia de la oligarquía urbana y un colegio secular universitario se explica en el contexto de creación de facciones favorables a las Casas de Austria y de Valois, que polarizaron la vida política italiana. Así, el colegio, partícipe de las estructuras administrativas de la monarquía, se incorporó a un circuito hispanófilo creado en Bolonia y liderado precisamente por la familia Malvezzi. El objetivo de estas redes de afinidad era la promoción social de sus líderes masculinos a través del servicio político y militar a los monarcas españoles. Desde los precedentes en el reino de Nápoles, se avanza hacia la articulación de un partido filo-Habsburgo en Bolonia que extendió su influencia más allá de la ciudad, y que contó con el Colegio de España y con varios de sus colegiales a lo largo del siglo XVI. De esta forma, se integran los fundamentos del poder local de los Malvezzi dentro de las redes filoespañolas italianas, combinando las escalas urbana, regional e internacional. Un estudio que se apoya en el Análisis de Redes para poder interpretar adecuadamente la participación del colegio y los intereses personales de cada uno de los líderes italianos involucrados. Por último, se abordan las cuestiones relativas al capital simbólico, tratando de desgranar los puntos fundamentales del relato hispanófilo elaborado por la familia Malvezzi y la colaboración del Colegio de España en dicha empresa ideológica.     Description: Clinical understandings. An approach from psychodynamics and post-rationalism aims to address different typical themes such as bonding relationships, guilt, identity and narrative through a permanent dialogue between theory and casuistry. The book is composed of two parts: in the first part, psychodynamic theories are the frame of reference for the thematic and clinical approach; on the other hand, in the second part, understanding and discussion are constructed from a post-rationalist perspective. In turn, attachment theory is interwoven between the different chapters as a guideline for clinical understanding. Today, the clinician is in need of constant updating and of including a panoramic view in his or her gaze, since diagnostic accuracy not only requires uncovering what underlies, but also needs to see what clouds the obvious. This text seeks to broaden the understanding and reasoning of the different human manifestations in order to favor the diagnostic and integral process in the psychotherapeutic context, which, in addition, we hope will have an impact on the patient-therapist relationship and thus become study and consultation material for professional psychotherapists and psychotherapists in training.

    Description: The first components of developmental psychology can perhaps be traced back to the social recognition of infancy and childhood. Many historians agree that this recognition came late. The French historian Philippe Ariès argues that in medieval society there was no room for childhood or the child as theoretical constructs. They would emerge in the course of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Thus, although a certain sensitivity towards childhood appeared between the 16th and 17th centuries, it would seem that it was only in the 18th century that the child became the object of concern for some thinkers, mostly philosophers and pedagogues. There are several authors who are referents and it is worthwhile to review them, even if only briefly. At the time, Rousseau (1712-1778), in his Emilium, proposes an education centered on the natural evolution of the child, in which he highlights his particularities and differences and places childhood as a necessary and fundamental stage for man. The pedagogue Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), sympathizes with some of Rousseau's ideas on the education of children and keeps a diary of his son's first two years, which becomes one of the first systematic observations that is assumed to be a precursor of observational methodology in early development. In line with the above, this text can only be understood as a first attempt, unfinished and open, to be continued. It is what the Anglos call a "text in progress", and that the ebook edition will allow us to reopen it without major difficulties. It is also, of course, an incitement to readers to complement it, discuss it or even controvert it. This is intended to be a living text and discussed within the community. It is possible that certain hypotheses about the facts found will give rise to controversy. A colleague warned that lightning will surely strike it as it is a provocative text. Let's hope so: as long as they are illuminating, it will have partially fulfilled its purpose. In any case, there remains a taste for scrutinizing our past more closely with a view to the future and not only to what could not be.

    Description: Los primeros componentes de la psicología del desarrollo tal vez puedan situarse a partir del reconocimiento social de la infancia y de la niñez. Muchos historiadores coinciden en afirmar que ese reconocimiento fue tardío. El historiador francés Philippe Ariès sostiene que en la sociedad medieval no había espacio para la infancia ni para el niño como constructos teóricos. Ellos emergerían en el transcurrir de los siglos XVII y XVIII. Entonces, aunque entre los siglos XVI y XVII se asoma una cierta sensibilidad respecto de la infancia, parecería que es solo en el siglo XVIII que el niño es objeto de preocupación por parte de algunos pensadores, en su mayoría filósofos y pedagogos. Son varios los autores que se constituyen en referentes y vale la pena revisarlos así sea brevemente. En su momento, Rousseau (1712-1778), en el Emilio propone una educación centrada en la evolución natural del niño, en la que destaca sus particularidades y sus diferencias y sitúa la infancia como una etapa necesaria y fundamental para el hombre. El pedagogo Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (1746-1827), simpatiza con algunas de las ideas de Rousseau sobre la educación de los niños y lleva un diario sobre los dos primeros años de su hijo que se convierte en una de las primeras observaciones sistemáticas que se asume como precursora de la metodología observacional en el desarrollo temprano. Al hilo de lo anterior, este texto solo puede entenderse como un primer intento, inacabado y abierto, que deberá continuarse. Es lo que los anglos llaman un “texto en progreso”, y que la edición en ebook permitirá reabrir sin mayores dificultades. También es, desde luego, una incitación a los lectores para que lo complementen, lo discutan o incluso lo controviertan. Este quiere ser un texto vivo y discutido dentro de la comunidad. Posiblemente ciertas hipótesis sobre los hechos encontrados vayan a suscitar polémicas. Una colega advirtió que seguramente le caerán rayos y centellas en la medida que es un texto provocador. Ojalá así sea: mientras sean iluminantes habrá cumplido en parte su propósito. Queda de todas maneras, un gusto por escudriñar más minuciosamente nuestro pasado de cara al futuro y no solo a lo que no pudo ser.

    Description: Here in this book are formulated the central questions of our homecoming: How to found an active solidarity, and how to conjure Circe's charm that held Ulysses for so long, not without his consent? In short, how to get out of the labyrinth that imprisons Theseus, how to melt the thanatic aporia. Today a new jus-gentium based on the inalienable rights of the dignity of the person is being vigorously born under all the banners of the world. This global right of protection of the fundamental rights protected, the conventions and norms of the United Nations and of all the national and international courts, together with a new International Humanitarian Law, point the way back home, and from there all the prisoners of Circe are freed, from there they return home, which are none other than the bloody despotisms for which the last century and the beginning of this one will be known and repudiated, together with the genocide of entire populations, as attested by the cases of our International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda and other international and regional human rights forums. This new language exists. This task is also incumbent upon legal language, since the norm in its logical context of normative imputation refers to intersubjective conduct, as Giorgio Del Vecchio, the great Italian philosopher, had expressed decades ago. The inscription of the norm, the discrimination between what is permitted and what is forbidden, and its consequent legal metaphor, -in the author's expression following Legendre-, constructs human subjectivity, which can only be thought of as intersubjectivity Amelia has already started vigorously in that direction!

Ese derecho global de protección de los derechos fundamentales amparados, las convenciones y normas de las Naciones Unidas y de todos los tribunales nacionales e internacionales, junto a un nuevo Derecho Internacional Humanitario, señalan el camino de retorno al hogar, y desde allí se liberan, desde allí retornan a su hogar todos los prisioneros de Circe, que no son otra cosa que los despotismos sangrientos por los que la centuria pasada y los comienzos de esta, serán conocidos y repudiados, junto al genocidio de poblaciones enteras, como lo atestiguan los casos de nuestro Tribunal Penal Internacional para la ex-Yugoslavia y de Ruanda y demás foros internacionales y regionales de derechos humanos. Ese nuevo leguaje existe. Esta tarea también compete al lenguaje jurídico ya que la norma en su contexto lógico de imputación normativa refiere a la conducta intersubjetiva, como Giorgio Del Vecchio, el gran filósofo italiano, lo había expresado desde hace décadas. La inscripción de la norma, la discriminación entre lo permitido y lo prohibido, y su consecuente metáfora jurídica, –en expresión de la autora siguiendo a Legendre–, construye la subjetividad humana, que sólo se puede pensar como intersubjetividad ¡Amelia ya ha comenzado vigorosamente en esa dirección!

    Description: The federal system adopted in the constituent process of 1853-1860 responded, on the one hand, to the confederative experience of previous years and, on the other, to the imprint of the model based on the Constitution of the United States of America of 1787. However, the Argentine constituents departed from this model by granting the National Congress the power to dictate the "civil, commercial, criminal and mining" Codes (Art. 67, sub. 11 CN). In this way, the constitutional organisation reflected the federal aspiration that allowed the provinces to preserve their historical-political identity, but various circumstantial reasons, such as the shortage of lawyers in the interior of the country and the felt need to standardise customs and legislation, led the Convention members to adopt the European system of codification in the area of substantive law. As a result of this process, a hybrid model was established, with federal features as regards the exercise of political and jurisdictional powers at the provincial level, but with a clear unitary element in the codification of substantive law. The reservation added in 1860 reinforced the intangibility of the jurisdictional power of the provinces, which thus retained their own courts and the power to regulate their procedural law. On the other hand, it was provided that until the National Congress enacted the substantive codes, the provinces were empowered to maintain their civil and criminal legislation (art. 108 CN). The first Argentine Criminal Code would not come into force until 1887, so, in exercise of this transitory power, many provinces adopted various codification projects in the previous years that were exclusively within their territorial scope. The Tejedor Project was adopted by the Province of Buenos Aires in 1877; La Rioja, which was the pioneer, adopted it in 1876; Entre Ríos, San Juan, Corrientes, San Luis and Catamarca in 1878; Mendoza in 1779; Santa Fe and Salta in 1880 and Tucumán in 1881; and the Provinces of Jujuy and Santiago del Estero did not adopt provincial codes but were governed by Castilian law until the first National Code was enacted. Cordoba, for its part, adopted, practically unchanged, the draft of the revision commission presented to the National Congress in 1881. This book attempts to analyse some aspects of that first moment of provincial codification, focusing on the Criminal Code in force in the Province of Cordoba between 1882 and 1886, trying to understand the way in which the operators of justice in Cordoba represented the codified law and to determine to what extent it is possible to associate that representation with what has been called "code culture". We believe that the experience of provincial codification cannot be fully understood without taking into account the way in which the new law was used in the courts. In this sense, the Historical Archive of the Province of Cordoba preserves, in its Crime Fund, an important number of cases that were consulted and analysed in this work. The documentary universe for the period in which the code was in force (1883-1886) is 403 cases. The aim is to offer a qualitative analysis which, based on the documentary testimonies, allows us to offer an adequate description of the features which, in terms of legal culture, can be considered characteristic of the practical experience of the provincial penal codification.

Sin embargo, los constituyentes argentinos se apartaron de ese modelo al otorgar al Congreso Nacional la potestad de dictar los Códigos “civil, comercial, penal y de minería” (art. 67, inc. 11 CN). De esta manera la organización constitucional reflejaba la aspiración federal que permitía a las provincias conservar su identidad histórico-política, diversas razones coyunturales como la escasez de letrados en el interior del país y la sentida necesidad de uniformar las costumbres y la legislación, llevaron a los convencionales a adoptar el sistema europeo de la codificación en materia de derecho sustantivo. Como resultado de este proceso, se instauró un modelo híbrido, con rasgos federales en lo que se refiere al ejercicio de las potestades políticas y jurisdiccionales en el ámbito provincial, pero con un claro elemento unitario situado en la codificación del derecho sustantivo. La reserva agregada en 1860 reforzó la intangibilidad del poder jurisdiccional de las provincias, que conservaron así sus propios tribunales y la potestad para regular su derecho procesal. Por otra parte, se dispuso que hasta tanto el Congreso Nacional no sancionase los códigos sustantivos, las provincias se entendían facultadas para mantener su legislación civil y penal (art. 108 CN). El primer Código Penal Argentino no entraría en vigencia sino hasta 1887, por ello, en ejercicio de esa potestad transitoria, muchas provincias adoptaron en los años anteriores diversos proyectos de codificación que rigieron exclusivamente dentro de su ámbito territorial. El Proyecto Tejedor fue adoptado por la Provincia de Buenos Aires en 1877, La Rioja, quien fue la pionera, lo adoptó en 1876; Entre Ríos, San Juan, Corrientes, San Luis y Catamarca en 1878; Mendoza en 1779; Santa Fe y Salta en 1880 y Tucumán en 1881.Con respecto a las Provincias de Jujuy y Santiago del Estero no se dieron códigos provinciales rigiéndose por la normativa Castellana hasta la sanción del primer Código Nacional. Por su parte Córdoba adoptó, prácticamente sin modificaciones, el Proyecto de la comisión revisora presentado al Congreso Nacional en 1881. Este libro intenta analizar algunos aspectos de ese primer momento de codificación provincial, poniendo el foco de atención en el Código Penal vigente en la Provincia de Córdoba entre 1882 y 1886, procurando comprender el modo en el que los operadores de la justicia cordobesa se representaron el derecho codificado y determinar en qué medida es posible asociar esa representación a lo que se ha llamado “cultura del código”. Creemos que la experiencia de la codificación provincial no puede ser comprendida cabalmente si no se tiene en cuenta el modo en que la nueva ley fue utilizada en los tribunales. En este sentido, el Archivo Histórico de la Provincia de Córdoba conserva, en su Fondo del Crimen, una importante cantidad de casos que fueron consultados y analizados en este trabajo. El universo documental para el período en que el código estuvo vigente (1883-1886) es de 403 casos. Se procura ofrecer un análisis cualitativo que, partiendo de los testimonios documentales, nos permita ofrecer una adecuada descripción referida a los rasgos que, en el plano de la cultura jurídica, pueden considerarse característicos de la experiencia práctica de la codificación penal provincial.

Igualmente, se registran investigaciones en las que se evidencian diferentes tipos de maltrato al adulto mayor, los aportes de las neurociencias a la explicación de la efectividad de estrategias propuestas por las terapias de tercera generación y la aplicación de conceptos y estrategias de la psicología positiva a programas educativos y al manejo de pacientes en condiciones críticas de salud. Lo anterior, para hacer mención a algunos temas que cubren las necesidades e intereses de formación y profundización de los profesionales de la Psicología que se desempeñan en diversos contextos sociales y trabajan con la atención y abordaje de distintas problemáticas

    Description: In Colombia, as in other Latin American countries, educational reforms are being carried out with the aim of promoting quality education. Thus, current psychology programs undergo from time to time an evaluation and rethinking of their curricula, content, methods, assessment practices and other aspects in order to improve, redefine and contextualize psychology education. Thus, this book invites us to reflect on how, why and for what purpose to train psychologists today in Colombia and how research training provides spaces for reflection to think about new perspectives and approaches to the social challenges of our country. Moreover, the curriculum, as a reiterative school practice, ends up producing and reproducing unsuspected subjective forms according to the demands of a society, thus producing particular ways of acting and thinking that, among other aspects, are alienating. The proposal, then, is to identify this situation in order to transcend a merely technical curriculum and reproducer of social practices and bet on an emancipating curriculum, autonomizing the subjects and transforming the practices of a social group. Hence, questioning and debating the training in psychology is central both for the discipline and for the context.

Así, los programas en psicología actuales cada tanto tiempo someten a evaluación y replanteamiento su currículo, contenidos, métodos, prácticas evaluativas y demás aspectos con el fin de mejorar, redefinir y contextualizar la formación en psicología. Así, el presente libro invita a reflexionar acerca de cómo, por qué y para qué formar psicólogos hoy en Colombia y de qué manera la formación en investigación propicia espacios de reflexión para pensar nuevas miradas y apuestas ante los desafíos sociales de nuestro país. Además, el currículo en cuanto práctica escolar reiterativa, termina produciendo y reproduciendo insospechadamente formas subjetivas acordes con las demandas de una sociedad, produciendo así formas particulares de actuar y de pensar que, entre otros aspectos, son alienantes. La propuesta estribaría, entonces, en identificar dicha situación para trascender un currículo meramente técnico y reproductor de prácticas sociales y apostar por un currículo emancipador, autonomizador de los sujetos y transformador de las prácticas de un grupo social. De ahí que preguntarse y debatir la formación en psicología resulta central tanto para la disciplina como para el contexto.

    Description: Giving, taking away and declaring jurisdiction was one of the most important royalties of the monarch in the Ancien Régime and one of the most difficult to delegate. It was no less so in a world in which any act of power involving the alteration of the legal situations obtained by the unequal subjects that composed it required knowledge of the cause, and in which sovereignty was expressed in the capacity to judge others without being judged. For this reason, the examination of the methods and practice followed for the determination of jurisdictional competences and disputes becomes a privileged observatory for studying the crisis of the judicial Monarchy and its replacement by an administrative State in a Spain that in 1768 was bicontinental and in 1845 peninsular and little more than Antillean. This book gives an account of all the methods which, without being able to attack the root of the problem consisting of the multiplicity of privileged jurisdictions, were tried to reduce its consequences in a period framed by the expansion of these jurisdictions and the birth of the contentious-administrative jurisdiction. This work of constitutional history does not lose sight of the political value of the power to determine competences first between courts and then between powers and authorities, and thus to "supplement the constitution", and notes how, for almost a century, systems for resolving competences that obeyed the character of a "trial between judges" coexisted in tension with others in which the aim was to unilaterally decide disputes by invoking the economic and governmental dimension of the power of the princes. But this period also saw a shift from the consideration of jurisdictional competence as a necessary evil, a last resort to be resorted to in order to maintain harmony between authorities, to the normalisation of the conflict in a new French-style taxonomy of "jurisdiction" and "attributions".

No era para menos en un mundo en el que todo acto de poder que implicase la alteración de las situaciones jurídicas que obtenían los desiguales sujetos que la componían exigía conocimiento de causa, y en el que la soberanía se expresaba en la capacidad de juzgar a otros sin ser juzgado. Por ello el examen de los métodos y la práctica seguida para la determinación de las competencias y disputas jurisdiccionales se convierte en un observatorio privilegiado para estudiar la crisis de la Monarquía judicial y su sustitución por un Estado administrativo en una España que en 1768 era bicontinental y en 1845 peninsular y poco más que antillana. En este libro se da cuenta de todos los métodos que, sin poder atacar la raíz del problema consistente en la multiplicidad de fueros privilegiados, se ensayaron para minorar sus consecuencias en un periodo enmarcado por la expansión de esos fueros y el nacimiento de la jurisdicción contencioso-administrativa. Esta obra de historia constitucional no pierde de vista el valor político de la facultad de determinar las competencias primero entre tribunales y luego entre potestades y poderes, y con ello “suplir la constitución”, y constata cómo durante prácticamente un siglo convivieron en tensión sistemas de solución de competencias que obedecían al carácter de “juicio entre jueces” con otros en los que se trataba de decidir unilateralmente las disputas invocando la dimensión económica y gubernativa del poder de los príncipes. Pero también en este periodo se pasó de la consideración de la competencia jurisdiccional como mal necesario, último recurso al que había de llegarse para mantener la armonía entre autoridades, a la normalización del conflicto en una nueva taxonomía “de jurisdicción” y “de atribuciones” de cuño francés.

    Description: Of the four months he spent at that base, he remembers the first weapon he got his hands on, a 1936 rifle used during the civil war. It was one of the most exciting things he experienced, so at first he decided to become a gunner. Then he was transferred to Astorga where, already as a professional soldier, he began to be assigned missions. He didn't like the place very much, but it was there that he started his first combat without direct fire. He was in several bases during the next three years, and was sent to secret missions in Kosovo and Lebanon, where he came to know what it was like to cross fires and risk his life for the conviction of defending a country he already felt as his own.

Fue de las cosas más emocionantes que vivió, por eso decidió inicialmente ser artillero. Luego fue trasladado a Astorga donde, ya como soldado profesional, le empezaron a asignar misiones. El lugar no le gustaba mucho, pero fue ahí donde inició sus primeros combates de fuego no directo. Estuvo en varias bases durante los siguientes tres años, y fue enviado a misiones secretas en Kosovo y el Líbano, donde conoció lo que era el fuego cruzado y arriesgar su vida por la convicción de defender un país el cual ya sentía como propio.
