    Description: Fuzzy knowledge is not (only) a problem, but a capital of educational science. Based on this thesis, the author examines the educational discourse on the basis of the journal for educational science. In contrast to pedagogical certainties and calculabilities, the logical structure of fuzzy knowledge has a grammar that goes beyond simple truth values. In the form of a (metatheoretical) typology, different theoretical approaches to the topic of imprecise knowledge are systematized and exemplified with reference to concrete pedagogical problems.
    Description: Unscharfes Wissen ist nicht (nur) ein Problemfall, sondern ein Kapital der Erziehungswissenschaft. Ausgehend von dieser These untersucht der Autor den erziehungswissenschaftlichen Diskurs anhand der Zeitschrift für Erziehungswissenschaft. Die logische Struktur unscharfen Wissens weist im Gegensatz zu pädagogischen Gewissheiten und Kalkulierbarkeiten eine Grammatik jenseits einfacher Wahrheitswerte auf. This eighth volume of the series, with a foreword by Kristina Reiss, focuses on the goals and conditions for successful mathematical education in elementary and primary schools. Christiane Benz, Meike Grüßing, Jens Holger Lorenz, Christoph Selter and Bernd Wollring specify in their expertise the pedagogical and content-related target dimensions of mathematical education in nursery and primary school age. In addition to a theoretical foundation of various target areas, instruments for their measurement are listed. Furthermore, the authors discuss conditions for effective and effective early mathematical education in practice. They also give recommendations for the further development of the Foundation's services and the scientific support of the Foundation's work in the field of mathematics.     Description: Gender and sexual diversity is becoming a topic in everyday school life, but still occupies a precarious position in it - this not only affects LGBTIQ* children and young people, but also educational professionals, as this study shows. Based on a critically deconstructive pedagogy and on qualitative interviews with lesbian, gay, bi- and heterosexual as well as inter*, trans* and cisgender teachers, the study reconstructs social patterns of interpretation about how they deal with and address diverse lifestyles at school and in the classroom. The study makes an innovative contribution to an area of educational science that has hardly been researched so far and thus provides new impulses for a queer professionalisation of (future) teachers.
    Description: Geschlechtliche und sexuelle Vielfalt ist im Schulalltag zunehmend präsent, nimmt darin jedoch nach wie vor eine prekäre Position ein - dies betrifft nicht nur LGBTIQ*-Kinder und -Jugendliche, sondern ebenso pädagogische Fachkräfte. Ausgehend von einer kritisch-dekonstruktiven Pädagogik rekonstruiert die Studie soziale Deutungsmuster über den Umgang mit und Thematisierung von vielfältigen Lebensweisen in der Schule.     Description: The demand for more men as pre-school teachers in day-care centres is becoming clearer and clearer For this reason, the Austrian research project "Elementar" has comprehensively investigated the situation of male pre-school teachers and carers in the elementary field in a unique study. The diverse results emphasise the opportunities associated with the participation of men, but also call for a critical and differentiated examination of gender issues in the elementary field. Pupils, trainees and teachers working in practice were interviewed using quantitative and qualitative methods. Male trainees and skilled workers were surveyed in a full survey. The results were evaluated using statistical methods and qualitative content analyses. For the first time, biographical backgrounds and identities of male pre-school teachers were also examined psychoanalytically. On the basis of their results, the authors formulate concrete calls for action for research, practice and politics.

Der vorliegende zehnte Band der Reihe mit einem Geleitwort von Hans-Günther Roßbach stellt die Ergebnisse der Studien zu Wirkungen naturwissenschaftlicher Bildungsangebote auf pädagogische Fachkräfte und Kinder im Vorschulalter vor. Astrid Rank, Anja Wildemann, Sabina Pauen, Andreas Hartinger, Sabrina Tietze und Rahel Kästner untersuchten die Interaktionsqualität und mögliche sprachliche Bildungswirkungen im Kontext naturwissenschaftlicher Bildungsangebote bei Vorschulkindern. Die Studie legt nahe, dass naturwissenschaftliche Fortbildungen die naturwissenschaftlichen Kompetenzen wie auch den Spracherwerb der Kinder unterstützen und die Prozessqualität der Fachkräfte in naturwissenschaftsbezogenen Situationen bestimmen können.
