Jt. v.Chr. | The first volume of Materials on toponymy and topography (MTT) presents results of the French-German collaboration on the historical geography of Upper Mesopotamia in the 2nd millennium BCE. The three parts present archeological and textual data which provide a basis for a global approach to the socio-political history of the region. The present part, MTT I/3, provides a gazetteer of archeological data for 1050 settlements of the Middle and Late Bronze Age. The selection criteria and the methodology are outlined in a brief introduction. More information about the sites will be found in the future web presentation of the database.
