    Description: Learning devices can be embedded into organizational contexts. Through them learning processes can be intentionally activated as to transform employees while working. Workplaces have their own learning potential due to their high level of structuring and regulation. Their learning potential transform organizational actors while they are in the productive actions. Identifying embedded learning processes helps in intercepting learning valencies of workplace experiences and observing learning actions that can lead to transformative processes. Results of related research activities are presented in the volume. They have been carried out in more than ten years of research implemented in three types of organisations: business, museum, prison. Research experiences are analysed by using a model of study that is based on the reconstruction of the learning processes as they are experienced by the actors considered. Moreover the model is based on the analysis of learning actions that are embedded into the productive and service provision processes. Factors and conditions are analysed as well through which organisations can act on employees transformation.

    Description: Nowadays poverty can be defined as a construct that can no longer be ascribed to the material scarcity of resources but to the lack of all available relational, social and cultural resources, that are an expression of a “suffering” territory. This fragility testifies to a problem of educational sustainability that requires an exit from the emergency logic of “buffer interventions” by activating social, training and professional networks, capable of responding to the educational needs expressed by the territory. For this reason, in the epistemic framework of Civil and Digital-Civil Pedagogy, the need emerges for new professional profiles capable of being “managers” of integrated territorial development, educators-planners of territorial educational services with a view to social sustainability and the educational human transition.

    Description: The keynote of the recent history of the faculty of educational science of Florence University is change. This has emerged in response to the demands for education expressed by a new knowledge society, spawned by the processes of globalisation, and the social need to foster interculturalism and the dialogue between diversities. In this new dimension of change, education becomes the framework for preparation, but also for re-integrating and updating life itineraries that are swift and precarious, veined with insecurity and disillusionment. Even in the new approach, the scientific and cultural benchmark continues to be a consistent adherence to the secular, historic-pedagogic and educational tradition represented by the masters of the "Florence School". Since its creation in 1996, the new faculty has staked forcefully on the centrality of training in relation to the traditional focus on the professionalism of primary and secondary school teachers, and on the new extra-scholastic training issues: the educational professions; pedagogic care; the social education of adults; the technologies of education and instruction; the philosophic, sociological, psychological and anthropological dimension of education; the broad sphere of hardship and marginalisation and the different faces of diversity.

    Description: Sexual harassment is a complex behaviour, characterized by several dimensions and definitions, as shown by the literature. In an online context, it is important to fully understand its nature, characteristics and consequences as well as how it may affect adolescents. This work aims to systematize the information available in the literature, by describing the main characteristics of the phenomenon, and trying to provide a definition. The research, which was conducted on four databases in November 2021, led to the identification of 20958 works. After removing the duplicates, and analyzing the abstracts and full-texts, a final number of 65 works were included, which were read in full-text and analysed. As for the studies collected, the type of relationship between the aggressor and the victim is described, alongside a description of the behaviors classified as online sexual harassment. Online sexual harassment can manifest itself in three main typologies (verbal, visual, cybersexual). Within these typologies, it is possible to identify three prevalent behaviours: unwanted solicitation, non-consensual sexting, and sharing of intimate and/or private content with third parties without the victim’s consent.

    Description: The volume starts from the monograph of the author entitled Per una pedagogia di “confine”, deepening a series of pedagogical relationships, from the epistemological level of the relationship of pedagogy with other disciplines, to the theoretical level of learning “over the course of life”, up to the methodological level the relationships researcher/educator, teacher/student, learner in an individual/cooperative situation. From this point of view, the author favours the anthropological-cultural contribution to the integration of educational interventions, making his own communicative and interactive methodologies for the qualification of learning and skills in training processes. The volume is a contribution for the basic pedagogical training of students enrolled in social-sanitary degree courses and other degrees that aim to shape educators.

    Description: Within the context of a reflection on learning from a lifelong and lifewide perspective, this paper intends to highlight the pedagogical need to focus on the individual and her or his resources as a prerequisite for starting and maintaining a fruitful “learning career”.     Description: The volume describes experiences of the first twelve years of the Social Sciences Library of the University of Florence in its new location. We talk about management contexts, organisational structures, analysis, projects, crises and solutions affecting most of the services. Moreover, we also present an approach and a working method. Our need to write stemmed from the impression of having accomplished a phase of our work and of being called to take stock of the situation, giving account of the work done and critically analysing it, in order to be ready to face the new challenges that the future would present, starting from today.

    Description: On the 21st May 2019, the University of Florence awarded Michele Casalini an honorary degree for his dedication and his important contribution in the field of Library and Archival Sciences. The ceremony, which was held in the Rectorate's Aula Magna in Florence, represents the first recognition of merit for modern library science and the second for library and archival sciences to ever be granted by an Italian university. The text features the complete speeches by Luigi Dei, Rector, by Andrea Zorzi, Director of the SAGAS Department, the Laudatio by Mauro Guerrini, president of the Degree in Library and Archival Sciences and the Lectio Doctoralis by Michele Casalini, entitled La centralità delle biblioteche per il progresso e la democrazia. All the texts are published in Italian and English.

    Description: This article looks at the privileged relationship that David Sassoli had with Portugal at a time when the presidency of the European Parliament was shared with the presidency of the Council of Europe entrusted to António Costa. President Sassoli's speeches at the Social Summit held in the city of Porto on 7 and 8 May 2021 represent the synthesis of his socio-cultural and geopolitical vision. The Conference on the Future of Europe, which opened on 17 June 2021, ended when unfortunately Sassoli had already left us.
