Description: The great Scientist Giovanni Lilliu, as well as the most important archaeologist of the last century, was also a lively intellectual, attentive to numerous issues that also exuded archeology, themes strongly linked, however, to the culture and language of his beloved Sardinia. His wealth of interests, his love of complexity, is reflected in the present volume, in which various scholars, especially archaeologists but not only, wanted not only to remember the Master, but also to take up the themes treated by him, often deepening them in the light of the new discoveries and research.

Description: This volume contains the Proceedings of the Conference held on October 19 and 20, 2022, in Cagliari, Italy, at the Boscolo Lecture Hall of the Institute of History of Mediterranean Europe of the National Research Council (CNR-ISEM) to illustrate the results achieved during the conduct of a two-year research project "Cities between sea and lagoon: from Santa Gilla to Cagliari. Archaeological, geological, historical, settlement and social aspects, funded under Regional Law Aug. 7, 2007, No. 7: "Promotion of scientific research and technological innovation in Sardinia. basic research projects," presented by CNRISEM (PI Marcello Verga, succeeded by Maria Grazia Mele), together with the University of Cagliari (coordin. of Research Unit No. 1 Rossana Martorelli). The Project examined the current territory of Cagliari from a "between sea and lagoon" reading perspective, tracing the historical events and the geological and archaeological phenomena of the various settlements, from the Judicial citadel of Sancta Caecilia, Ilia, Ygia, on the shores of the Santa Gilla Lagoon, to the Castel di Castro/Caller with its Appendices of medieval and modern times. Following the same time frame, the Proceedings of the Conference sees the light of day in two parts, the first of which focuses on the historical-urban affairs of the buried and almost forgotten Sancta Caecilia, Sancta Ygia. The second, on the other hand, deals with Cagliari in the modern age, focusing on the political-institutional, economic, social and settlement aspects of the port district, which was more linked to the lagoon and the sea, as with other cities of the Hispanic Monarchy.

Description: Important anniversaries of prominent historians have become traditional opportunities for the gift to the celebrator in the form of scientific contributions from his colleagues and the colleagues who have worked with him fruitfully or are still doing so. Marušičev zbornik is a tribute to one of the leading historians of the Slovene region in contact with its western neighbors, historian prof. Branko Marušič at the age of 80. He has created a very important oeuvre, while outlining basic research directions, which some have continued to gain. One of the prominent results of this “scientific transfer” is the present scientific monograph, with the highly significant subtitle, Zgodovinopisec zahodnega roba (The Historian of West Edge). In a single volume, it represents the contribution of different generations of historians to new insights into the history of coastal space, especially that of the borderland, which throughout history has encountered coexistence with “the other.” Different historical sources and their careful analyzes and interpretations, which the authors place in different time contexts, contribute to new or original scientific knowledge. The monograph is actual and important for the development of historiography, also because of the development of Slovenian scientific terminology.
Description: Kot je v recenziji zapisal izr. prof. dr. Gorazd Bajc, postajajo pomembni jubileji vidnih zgodovinarjev že tradicionalne priložnosti poklona slavljencu v obliki znanstvenih prispevkov kolegov in kolegic, ki so z njim plodno sodelovali oziroma to še vedno počnejo.
