Aus der Holostratotypus-Lokalität des Ems bei Koblenz (Rheinisches
Schiefergebirge, Unterdevon, Hohenrhein-Formation) gegenüber der ehemaligen Hohenrheiner
Hütte, wird eine reiche Miosporenassoziation beschrieben. Die Flora besteht
aus 33 Gattungen und 95 Arten. Mit Hilfe der Miosporen konnte die Hohenrhein-
Formation der annulatus-sextantii- Sporenzone nach RICHARDSON & MCGREGOR (1986),
beziehungsweise der Oppel-Zone FD nach STREEL et al. (1987) zugeordnet werden.

Abstract: The holostratotype of the Emsian near Koblenz (Rhenish Massif, Lower
Devonian, Hohenrhein Formation), opposite of the former “Hohenrhein Hütte”, yielded
a rich miospore association. The flora consists of 33 genera and 95 species. With
the aid of the miospores the Hohenrhein Formation could be allocated to the annulatus-
sextantii spore zone of RICHARDSON &MCGREGOR (1986) or respectively to the oppel
zone FD of STREEL et al. (1987).
