    Beschreibung: Le thème des vertus connaît un essor considérable dans la péninsule italienne entre 1300 et 1415. Les personnifications s’affichent partout et deviennent des images incontournables de l’univers visuel et intellectuel aussi bien des laïcs et que des clercs. Les ordres mendiants sont les principaux promoteurs du renouveau du thème. Intégralement tournés vers la propagation des vertus, ils conçoivent des programmes qui célèbrent la supériorité morale de leurs saints en s’appuyant sur une iconographie qui convoque l’exégèse de leurs docteurs respectifs. Dans le même temps, les institutions civiques mettent en œuvre une imagerie cohérente qui cherche non seulement à édifier les citoyens, mais aussi à dresser le portrait de communes vertueuses et de gouvernements légitimes. En plus de retracer le parcours de l’iconographie des vertus dans l’Italie communale, ce livre dégage les notions qui travaillent l’imagerie morale à la fin du Moyen Âge à partir d’une approche méthodologique plurielle. Il met en lumière les procédés artistiques consistant à figurer les entités abstraites, les rouages didactiques qui animent les personnifications et le processus de vulgarisation du système éthique par l’image. Il apporte ainsi une contribution à deux questions déterminantes de la production artistique du Trecento, celle du rapport que les images entretiennent avec leurs destinataires et celle de la circulation de l’iconographie dans la société italienne. Ce phénomène n’est pas nouveau et s’inscrit dans une histoire longue de la mesure et des réformes des pratiques alimentaires. Quels sont les processus historiques ayant progressivement transformé l’idée de juste mesure et d’équilibre alimentaire ? Comment ces notions sont-elles diffusées dans l’espace social ? Quel rôle jouent certains intermédiaires (industriels, professionnels de la santé et du travail social, et institution scolaire) dans leur diffusion ? De quels moyens les chercheurs disposent-ils pour en percevoir les effets pratiques ? Autant de questions auxquelles cet ouvrage tente de répondre en s’intéressant aussi bien aux dynamiques d’élaboration des normes alimentaires et à leur diffusion qu’à leur réappropriation par différents groupes sociaux, au regard des conduites de vie avec lesquelles elles sont censées interagir. À l’appui d’enquêtes empiriques, il livre des clés de compréhension de la situation actuelle à la lumière d’approches historiques, sociologiques et anthropologiques.     Beschreibung: À partir de 1991, la Yougoslavie socialiste se désintègre dans une violence inouïe. Peu avant, le monde avait découvert la situation sanitaire désastreuse de la Roumanie post-communiste. Alors que la construction européenne est perçue comme un horizon indépassable, les Balkans réapparaissent sur la carte mentale des Européens comme un problème plutôt qu’une réalité géographique. Face à ces crises médiatisées que les interventions étrangères semblent aggraver et que les intellectuels sont impuissants à expliquer, l’incompréhension et le désarroi ont été fréquents. En France, des mobilisations citoyennes ont succédé aux débats passionnés avec l’ambition d’imaginer la solidarité de demain. Novateurs dans leurs formes et leur ampleur, ces moments militants ont pourtant été sans lendemain. Ce sont les données de cette expérience française que ce livre explore: celles propres à la période contemporaine qui commence au sortir de la confrontation des blocs - traitement humanitaire des crises, désengagement partisan et idéologie européenne -, mais aussi les savoirs façonnés par une histoire longue des relations franco-balkaniques, faite d’universalisme républicain et de filtres militants, de méconnaissance séculaire de « l’autre Europe » aussi que de fascination pour ses cultures populaires. Il s’agit d’écrire une histoire connectée de la décennie 1990, marquée autant en France que dans les Balkans par l’effacement du communisme comme réalité politique et référence, la reformulation des discours sur la nation, l’ethnicité et l’engagement politique.

    Beschreibung: The 43rd UID conference, held in Genova, takes up the theme of ‘Dialogues’ as practice and debate on many fundamental topics in our social life, especially in these complex and not yet resolved times. The city of Genova offers the opportunity to ponder on the value of comparison and on the possibilities for the community, naturally focused on the aspects that concern us, as professors, researchers, disseminators of knowledge, or on all the possibile meanings of the discipline of representation and its dialogue with ‘others’, which we have broadly catalogued in three macro areas: History, Semiotics, Science / Technology. Therefore, “dialogue” as a profitable exchange based on a common language, without which it is impossible to comprehend and understand one another; and the graphic sign that connotes the conference is the precise transcription of this concept: the title ‘translated’ into signs, derived from the visual alphabet designed for the visual identity of the UID since 2017.
