    Beschreibung: En este volumen se incluyen diferentes estudios que se ocupan de la intersección entre la discapacidad y el género, desde una perspectiva orientada hacia la creación artística. Las personas con discapacidad son también generadoras de imágenes que cuestionan los roles de género y se convierten en signos de empoderamiento. Por ello, se hace imprescindible un adecuado análisis de las voces de las creadoras con discapacidad, de sus estrategias retóricas y de sus diferentes formas de encarnación. Las imágenes revisadas, a través de una amplia selección de materiales artísticos, muestran una subjetividad descentrada y una pluralidad de modos de ser, de estar y de hacer, que se proponen mediante una estética diversa.

En ocasiones, la diversidad funcional también puede venir acompañada de una estigmatización social muy marcada. El presente volumen ofrece una de las primeras aproximaciones a la representación de la diversidad funcional en el ámbito hispánico. Los trabajos que se incluyen en este libro se encargan de mostrar los posibles acercamientos teóricos y prácticos a la representación de la diversidad funcional, a través de un variado corpus integrado por obras literarias, escénicas, cinematográficas y audiovisuales, extraídas de la creación hispánica contemporánea. Functional diversity, understood as a bodily, cognitive or psychic affection, often seriously disrupts the participation of people in collective life. At times, functional diversity can also be accompanied by a strong social stigma. This volume offers one of the first approaches to the representation of functional diversity in the Hispanic sphere. The works included in this book are in charge of showing the possible theoretical and practical approaches to the representation of functional diversity, through a varied corpus composed of literary, scenic, cinematographic and audiovisual works, extracted from the contemporary Hispanic creation.

    Beschreibung: Our understanding of reality and our relationship with it are often conditioned by the influence of the images that cultural systems produce and circulate. The discourses that contribute to shaping a socially accepted idea about functional diversity are many and varied, but there is no doubt about the definitive role that the arts also play. This volume brings together a series of theoretical and practical approaches that analyze the uses and nature of some contemporary fictions, and offers a new look at the risks and challenges, as well as the aesthetic and political possibilities and limits, which the representation of functional diversity in the performing and audiovisual arts, literature and sound art.
    Beschreibung: Nuestra comprensión de la realidad y la relación que mantenemos con ella suelen estar condicionadas por la influencia de las imágenes que los sistemas culturales producen y ponen en circulación. Los discursos que contribuyen a conformar una idea socialmente admitida sobre la diversidad funcional son múltiples y variados, pero no cabe duda del papel definitivo que también desempeñan las artes. El presente volumen reúne una serie de aproximaciones teóricas y prácticas que analizan los usos y la naturaleza de algunas ficciones contemporáneas, y ofrece una novedosa mirada hacia los riesgos y desafíos, así como a las posibilidades y límites estéticos y políticos, que implica la representación de la diversidad funcional en las artes escénicas y audiovisuales, la literatura y el arte sonoro.

    Beschreibung: As the annual peer-reviewed publication of the International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA), Recherche littéraire / Literary Research is an Open Access journal published by Peter Lang. Its mission is to inform comparative literature scholars worldwide of recent contributions to the field. To that end, it publishes scholarly essays, review essays discussing recent research developments in particular sub-fields of the discipline, as well as reviews of books on comparative topics. Scholarly essays are submitted to a double-blind peer review. Submissions by early-career comparative literature scholars are strongly encouraged. En tant que publication annuelle de l’Association internationale de littérature comparée (AILC), Recherche littéraire / Literary Research est une revue expertisée par des pair·e·s et publiée par Peter Lang en libre accès voie dorée. Elle vise à faire connaître aux comparatistes du monde entier les développements récents de la discipline. Dans ce but, la revue publie des articles de recherche scientifique, des essais critiques dressant l’état des lieux d’un domaine particulier de la littérature comparée, ainsi que des comptes rendus de livres sur des sujets comparatistes. Les articles de recherche sont soumis à une évaluation par des pair·e·s en double anonyme. Des soumissions par de jeunes chercheuses et chercheurs en littérature comparée sont fortement encouragées.
