    Description: The volume, dedicated to the 44th International Conference of the Italian Union for Drawing, investigates the theme of ‘Transitions’, which particularly effectively represents our time and the current condition of the discipline of Drawing. The term, beyond its generic meaning of an intermediate stage in a process in which a condition changes from one state to another, has always been used in various fields, from music to geophysics. In fact, the disciplines of drawing have always been confronted with themes and issues relating to transitions from one condition to another. The history of representation tells us of transformations, even epochal ones, relating to ‘drawing’, with all that such transitions entail: suffice it to think of the evolution of forms of representation, of instrumental apparatuses, of the mutability of supports, of the analogical-digital transition underway, of the new modes of communication on platforms, of the hypertrophic offer of images also on the net that confirms Guy Debord’s intuitions relating to the new spectacularisation of society. Similarly, representation triggers transitions in the prefiguration and communication of design, the anticipation and foreshadowing of future events.The challenges posed by the digital pose open questions whose scope can only be glimpsed, such as the relationship between drawing and the act of modelling, and the construction of new paradigms of visual language and communication. ‘Transitions’, almost implicitly, points to possible futures, the evolution of technique and the search for new modes of expression; at the same time, however, it can suggest silences and reflections in a process of connection between history, theory, criticism and construction.

    Description: Nell’affascinante mondo della cultura open, dopo software open source, standard aperti, open access e open content, il fenomeno dei dati aperti rappresenta l’ultima frontiera e forse anche quella attualmente più strategica. Alla fine degli anni 2000 si è infatti aperto il dibattito sull’importanza della disponibilità e libera diffusione di dati “crudi” (anche e soprattutto da parte del settore pubblico) così da poter aumentare il potenziale informativo e comunicativo della conoscenza condivisa figlia della rivoluzione digitale. Ci si è presto accorti che la possibilità di raccogliere, gestire e riutilizzare quantità di dati sempre maggiori e sempre più dense di correlazioni porta la necessità di alcune riflessioni di carattere sia giuridico che tecnologico. In questo libro, in ottica divulgativa, si cerca di presentare le principali questioni emergenti, tracciando un quadro normativo completo e fornendo alcune essenziali linee guida.

    Description: Hva er egentlig kreativ akademisk skriving? Er det en kreativ tanke med skrivingen, en spesiell kreativ prosess mens man skriver, eller er det utviklingen av et kreativt produkt i form av en kreativ akademisk tekst? I denne boka undersøkes disse spørsmålene på kryss og tvers gjennom elleve kapitler. Forfatterne har utfordret seg selv når det gjelder form så vel som innhold: ved å vise populærvitenskapens tekster når de fungerer som best, ved å se nærmere på essayets potensial som tanke og didaktisk ramme, ved å utforske følelsenes betydning for sakprosaen, og ved å vandre gjennom gatene og oppsøke tidsånden. I kreativ skriving er det en leken og utprøvende tilnærming til formen, ikke bare til innholdet, som er metoden for å utvikle tanken. Kreativitet i akademisk skriving er ikke et tilvalg – å skrive i en kreativ modus ligger i kjernen av den vitenskapelige metoden i humanistisk forskning. Denne innsikten er noe av det viktigste humanistisk forskning kan gi videre til andre fagfelt, studenter og allmennheten generelt: at man gjennom skriving kan tenke kreativt i betydningen nytt og verdifullt.

    Description: Nelle raccolte Storie naturali, Vizio di forma e Lilít e altri racconti, così come anche nelle storie scritte negli ultimi anni di vita, è evidente l’intento di Levi di servirsi dei miti per dare forza alle proprie narrazioni: non solo ama giocare con i miti tradizionali, ne crea anche di alternativi, facendo convergere la tradizione greco-romana, quella ebraica e la fantascienza di cui era avido lettore. Prometeo, il Golem, Lilít e il centauro: sono queste le figure che ritornano in molti racconti e che per la loro origine mitica sono la porta d’accesso ad un universo di significati antropologicamente pregnante, arricchitosi nel corso di varie elaborazioni storiche. Grazie alla densità semiotica di questi simboli Levi può presentare la propria etica in forma narrativa senza correre eccessivi rischi di semplificazione, esplorando ambiguità e dilemmi della condizione umana. È tempo di rileggere questi racconti d’invenzione. Potrebbero rivelarsi resistenti al tempo tanto quanto i protocolli di Auschwitz.
